Marvel's Avengers Stats Explained Guide

Marvel's Avengers Stats Explained Guide
There are a total of 7 unique stats in the game, but what do they all do? This Marvel's Avengers Stats Explained Guide breaks down each of the 7 stats including Might, Precision, Proficiency, Resolve, Resilience, and Intensity, explaining the purpose of each skill so you can maximize your characters build.

Understanding how stats work is an important part of building your ultimate hero. Marvel's Avengers uses a Rating system that determines your overall characters strength. If you are below the required rating for a particular enemy or mission, you will deal much less damage and take more damage in return. As such, it's a good idea to ensure your power level at least meets the requirements of the mission for a greater chance at success.

There are 4 main rating areas. Melee Rating, Ranged Rating, Defense Rating, and Heroic Rating. Each rating is broken up as follows:

  • Melee Rating – Combined ratings of Might, Valor and Proficiency
  • Ranged Rating – Combined ratings of Precision, Valor, and Proficiency
  • Defense Rating – Combined ratings of Resilience & Resolve
  • Heroic Rating – Combined ratings of Resilience, Valor, Intensity

You can see here that, while focusing on just a few skills will make you stronger in certain areas, it may impact your overall power rating. Might and Intensity, for example, only influence a single power rating each. However, Resilience, Valor, and Proficiency all impact two. If you're struggling to make the power level for a particular mission, try investing in areas that influence the overall power more positively.

Marvel's Avengers Stats Guide

Might
Directly influences the damage you do in melee combat

Precision
Precision is the only stat that increases your ranged damage

Proficiency
Both your critical hit chance and an increased chance for gear with perks to activate

Valor
The amount of damage done with a critical strike and the effectiveness of your heroic abilities

Resolve
Increases your maximum health and how quickly you recover health. Health is called Willpower in the game.

Resilience
Your armor value, reducing damage taken by each attack

Intensity
Your ability to resist status effects from enemy attacks and how quickly you break from them.

Depending on how you play each hero, there's a good foundation for each using the basic stats. For example, Hulk does have a ranged attack but it's very rare you will use it. He will spend almost all of his time in melee combat. He has a taunt ability, forcing all nearby enemies to attack him, and an increased defense ability. As such, stacking Might, Resolve, and Resilience is a great build for making Hulk a better tank.

Iron Man is another example, although a more versatile one. While he's perfectly capable of melee, many of his skills unlock new ranged attacks. Rockets, lasers, etc. If you play a traditional range attack role, you will want to focus on Precision, Proficiency and Valor. A glass cannon approach that sees Iron Man doing much greater damage from range with high hitting critical attacks.

Ultimately, it's up to you how to play each hero and how to build them to suit your play style.

How To Unlock Fortnite Hulk Pickaxe In Marvel's Avengers

Want to know How To Unlock Fortnite Hulk Pickaxe In Marvel's Avengers? The pre-order beta for Marvel's Avengers is currently available for those that pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4 and with it, a chance to unlock Hulk Smashers Pickaxe and Hulkbuster style for Fortnite.

There are future beta events planned for PC and then an open beta for all PS+ users. It's likely the rewards are available in each of the beta windows. As well as the Hulk Smashers Pickaxe and Hulkbuster style, there is also a special name plate you unlock for the full version of Marvel's Avengers when the game launches later this year. While it's easy to unlock these items, it can take a very long time.

How To Unlock Fortnite Hulk Pickaxe In Marvel's Avengers

How To Unlock Fortnite Hulk Pickaxe
Firstly you need to complete the Marvel Avengers campaign. There are only a few missions in the beta so it won't take you more than a couple of hours. Eventually, after finishing the final campaign mission, you will unlock access to the War Table. This is where you can select locations from around the globe, with each location providing different missions and rewards. Once you have the War Table you need to select the Helicarrier missions.

This is where you will need to be to complete all of the required objectives. You must first complete HARM Challenge I, which then unlock HARM Challenge II. Completing that unlocks HARM Challenge III and then completing HARM Challenge III unlocks the Hulk Pickaxe and Hulksmasher style. It's simple but it can take a while due to current matchmaking issues. You may struggle to find a game with other players, and the game sometimes returns to the main menu even when you're trying to complete the missions solo.

All of the HARM Challenge missions are the same. Defeat 10 waves of increasingly challenging enemies without your team of heroes falling. It's definitely possible solo but it's much easier if you can get a full group of heroes, just be prepared for some matchmaking and connectivity issues.

  • Follow the Marvel's Avengers campaign until you unlock the War Table
  • Navigate to the Helicarrier missions on the War Table
  • Select Harm Challenge I and complete the mission
  • Then select Harm Challenge II and complete that mission
  • Finally, complete Harm Challenge III to unlock all of the beta rewards

How To Open The Depot In Marvel's Avengers Beta

How To Open The Depot In Marvel's Avengers Beta
An AIM Facility Depot is locked. This guide on How To Open The Depot In Marvel's Avengers Beta will walk you through the basics of unlocking your first depot door as although it's a very simple process, the first one may leave you a little confused as to what you're meant to do.

We already know from pre-beta footage that there are multiple Depots, small puzzle-like environments that promise some good gear as a reward if you can solve the puzzles. The puzzles are very simple to follow unless of course you miss the minor hints. Then, like any other puzzle, that can be frustrating and confusing. Thankfully the first AIM depot in Marvel's Avengers is a very simple process involving following wires.

How To Open The Depot In Marvel's Avengers Beta

How To Open The Depot In Marvel's Avengers Beta
This is a general tip that will likely apply to all depots. When you are viewing the depot door, look at the top of the door. You will see a number of lights. There are 5 in total, with each light representing one stage of the puzzle that you need to solve. For the first depot door there are two lights atop the door. This tells you that there are two switches that you must press in order to release the locking mechanism and open the door.

You can follow the electrical wires from the lights, these will lead you to the switches. Both the switches are right outside the first depot door you find, on the left and right of the path that leads to the door. First one is easy to solve, as for future ones, just remember the key aspects:

  • Locate the depot door
  • Check the lights at the top of the door
  • Follow the electrical wires from those lights
  • Press the switches to release the locking mechanism.

Sometimes they need to be pressed in order. If the light is press and it turns blue, that light is correct. From there, it' just a simple process of elimination.

This main theme will serve as the opening track to the "The Ravens Saga" EP, which has been released digitally today by Lakeshore Records.

You can listen to it below:

Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Official Soundtrack Cinematic Trailer | Ubisoft [NA]

The full "The Ravens Saga" EP tracklist includes the following seven tracks:

  • Assassin's Creed Valhalla Main Theme (feat. Einar Selvik) – Sarah Schachner and Jesper Kyd
  • Son of Fjord – Jesper Kyd
  • Asgard – Hall of the Aesir (feat. Einar Selvik) – Sarah Schachner

  • Vígahugr – Lust for Battle (Skaldic Version) – Einar Selvik

On composing the main theme, Sarah Schachner had to say the following:

"We wanted the atmosphere of the theme to instantly transport the listener to another time and place, filled with mystery and uncertainty. There are Norse instruments, but they are used in a more modern way. The theme represents Eivor's journey as well as the Vikings' hope for a better life as they move further south into the Anglo-Saxon regions."

Jesper Kyd added:

"We wanted to evoke Eivor's journey, what drives them and the bond they have with their family. Eivor is searching for something and this longing to find it and resolve it is a key element reflected in the melody and mood."

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will launch worldwide for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC (via the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store), and Google Stadia on November 17, 2020. The title will also release for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when those consoles launch.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Review

In a world where chaos is commonplace and the Crown rules all, Devolver Digital and Mediatonic's obstacle-based battle royale Fall Guys brings game show-style antics to the masses. Should players get it on, or is this title too chaotic for its own good?

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Review

Those weaned on a healthy diet of Wipeout and Takeshi's Castle will be all too familiar with the set up found in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. 60 customizable jelly bean-like creatures enter the ring, competing in five Shows in a mad dash to come out on top and claim the coveted Crown. Of course, victory means elimination for 59 other poor souls.

Nobody likes reruns, however; that's why the development team has thrown in a number of different Shows to compete in. Chosen at random, players will either work as part of a team, attempt to qualify, or prevent themselves from being eliminated.

The question is: Are these Shows worth tuning in for?

That answer varies greatly. Some levels, like the rolling rings of Roll Out and the keepaway action of Royal Fumble perfectly encapsulate the energy that comes from throwing a bunch of ragdoll creatures together. Put simply, seeing a bunch of creatures bash their way through doors in Door Dash is a sight to behold.

However, there are also a number of duds in the bunch. The moment players fall into the abyss for the nth time in Tip Toe due to fake tiles is the moment players realize just how sadistic these level designers can be. Frustration can quickly set in due to circumstances beyond the player's control; one's experience in cooperative battles like Hoarders and Egg Scramble can vary greatly based on who they are matched up with.

Nevertheless, familiarity with each stage and getting to know the general grabbing, jumping, and diving nature of your bean will no doubt aid in the learning curve. One shouldn't blame their connection for poor play either; whether we were flying solo or playing with a friend via the PlayStation Network, connecting all sixty players together was a breeze and the lag was negligible. Each character also only varies cosmetically too, so while that dino guy might look cool, he's got the same tools that you do to complete the job.

On that note, the cosmetics serve as a huge drive to come back and compete once more. In addition to the Crowns, players can also earn Fame and Kudos. Fame serves as a leveling system for Season 1 of Fall Guys, with unlockables available up to level 40. Kudos, on the other hand, work more as currency in its shop. Just note that items are randomized, vary based on rarity, and change after a set period of time. This might be a turn off for some people, but its lack of effect on gameplay make these quirks more of an annoyance than a dealbreaker.

Unfortunately, as of right now, not all is cheerful in the brightly colored world of Fall Guys. Problems we came across include error messages that failed to dish out any rewards and transaction errors that prevented us from getting new gear. One can also purchase Kudos and additional costumes outright for real money on the PlayStation Store, which comes across in poor taste.

Much like a goofy game show, the zany antics of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout will appeal to gamers of all types. Though the first season has some nasty bugs and Show duds, those that bring some patience into this battle royale will enjoy their race to the top.

This review of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was done on the PlayStation 4. The title was freely downloaded with a PlayStation Plus subscription.

DOOM Eternal and The Elder Scrolls Online Coming to Next Gen Consoles

The worlds of Bethesda's DOOM Eternal and The Elder Scrolls Online will make their way to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

Released earlier this year, DOOM Eternal has players taking on the role of the DOOM Slayer once more. As players set out to foil the alien Maykrs' plans to exterminate humanity, they can utilize weaponry like the Rocket Launcher, the Plasma Rifle, the BFG 9000, and the Ballista. You can read our review here (we gave it a 90/100).

The Elder Scrolls Online, on the other hand, is an MMORPG that is set in the continent of Tamriel. Players can choose from 10 different races and take on quests, random events, and explore its world.

Those that have purchased either one of these games on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4 can upgrade for free to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions when available. In addition, Bethesda's teams have ensured that both titles will support backwards compatibility when the two consoles launch.

More information regarding both The Elder Scrolls Online and DOOM Eternal on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 (including expected release windows and a list of enhancements) will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
