Pikmin 3 Deluxe Coming October 30

Originally released for the Wii U, Nintendo announced today that Pikmin 3 Deluxe will come out for the Nintendo Switch on October 30, 2020.

In this title, players will be able to grow a squad of plantlike creatures known as Pikmin as they traverse the strange world of planet PNF-404 and find food for their home planet. Wielding five different types of Pikmin, players can either play the title solo or with a friend to overcome obstacles and defeat whatever creatures stand in their way. Different Pikmin have different abilities; for instance, winged Pikmin can fly and blue Pikmin can breathe underwater.

When players aren't off collecting food and saving the world, they can try out Pikmin 3 Deluxe's Mission mode to accomplish goals like collecting items or defeating enemies. Another mode in the title, Bingo Battle, tasks players with using Pikmin to retrieve items on your bingo card before your opponent.

New to the Nintendo Switch version of the game are multiple difficulty modes for players to utilize, new side-story missions that feature Olimar and Louie, and every piece of DLC from the original release.

Cosplay Wednesday – Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy

After three years as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, the world of Guerilla Games' Horizon Zero Dawn will make its way to the PC this month. In honor of this release, Gamers Heroes takes a look at the protagonist of the game, the Nora Brave Aloy.

Hailing from Poland, MargaretCosplayArt got these stunning shots of herself as Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy. The costume was made by her, and everything from her hair to the setting to even the weaponry are all present and accounted for.

For those looking for additional cosplays from her, she has also done renditions from League of Legends, Lineage II and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. For those looking into getting into cosplay themselves, she does both easy and medium costume commissions.

How To Push And Pull In Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout

How To Push In Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout
There isn't a ton of options for what you can do in Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout, but you can push and pull. Check out this guide to find out how to push and pull in Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout. Just be careful not to fall off yourself when trying to eliminate someone else.

How To Push And Pull In Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout

In order to push and pull on players in Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout, you will have to hold R2 down near a player. You will hold your hands out and attempt to grab anyone near you. If you see a white circle, that means they are close enough to be grabbed. You will then have to hold the button until you connect with the play and they will be grabbed. Keep holding and you can either pull back to pull them, or push forward to push them. You do have to be pretty close to grapple, and grabbing does slow you down, so be ready for that.

I personally like to grab players when a ball or obstacle is coming to get them caught. It is really useful in the fruit dropping one because it is easy to get people blasted by he fruit or the log. Be careful in that one though, you can easily be dragged as well. Pushing is a little bit harder since you need a ledge to push someone off. If you push too hard, you fall off as well. Don't be greedy with the push or the pull and you will be okay. Get greedy and 9 times out of 10 you will die as well.

Check back soon for more Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout guides.

Creative Director Jeff mentioned that he came up with the name of "Fall Guys" after originally getting pitched the name "Fall Gauntlet." However, Lead Designer Joe mentioned how he was the one who thought of the concept after watching a lot of Takeshi's Castle when he was younger. He mentioned that you never know what combination of weird and insane rounds you are going to get, and that a lot of the initial level ideas came from that.

Other topics include a special delivery to the Mediatonic studio, the most iconic level in the game (Fall Mountain), how the design of the characters came to be, the work that went into its level design, and how there is no sort of blueprint to create something along these lines.

You can watch the video below:

Bikerz Review

The tantalizing combo of road combat and motorcycles is the stuff video games are made of, and Forever Young Games looks to tap into this vein with their new title Bikerz. However, though this title may offer a number of bikes and weapons to choose from, the development team has managed to make this seemingly interesting concept dreadfully dull.

Bikerz Review

After choosing their bike, rider, and weapon, players will get on their bikes and ride through a number of long stretches of road. This is far from a Sunday drive, however – a number of ne'er-do-wells are also hitting the streets and are looking to take you down. In what is a battle of wits and weaponry, it's up to players to take down these rivals while making it to the end of each stage.

Sounds like an interesting concept, right? However, what is here is broken beyond repair. For one, the gunplay is duller than dishwater – players will be endlessly firing their weapon while slowly moving away from the fire of their foes. This leads to a lame game of chicken where players slowly move up and down until the enemy is vanquished. The powerful weapons and weak enemies make this seem far too easy, and weapon, shield, and health power-ups make it next to impossible to lose. If anything, the greatest amount of variety we saw each playthrough was changing up the radio station, which is about as exciting as it sounds.

Bikerz also has a serious problem with repetition. Players will be doing the same thing in each stage, with the ultimate goal being to get to the end of each area. It often feels like a waiting game as repetition sets in sooner rather than later. Some sort of variety to each stage, or just anything really would have made this one stand out. It just feels woefully generic, like one is playing with clip art that has almost no variety from stage to stage.

Unfortunately, the slapdash presentation does not help this title's case. Scenery repeats itself ad infinitum like something out of The Flintstones, and there's no sort of animation to the characters. It can be almost comical to see a single sprite stay in place with random bullets firing out of its general vicinity. The end result are flat sprites that just glide along, which looks absolutely sloppy. Some of the vehicle choices are questionable as well – we can safely say we've never seen anybody do a drive-by in a Volkswagen Beetle.

To keep players going, money can be collected along the way that can unlock additional characters, bikes, and weapons. Though the weapons pack more power, there's not enough variety to really make these unlockables worth pursuing.

Bikerz manages to do the unthinkable by turning a seemingly exciting concept into something that is an absolute slog. This title suffers greatly from repetition, and players will be bored of its antics well before all is said and done.

This review of Bikerz was done on the PC. The game was purchased digitally.
