We're getting ever closer to the launch of new consoles, and people are no doubt thinking about where, when and how they will pick up these systems. Sony will have the PS5, and Microsoft will have the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, with those preorders going live September 22nd. Well, one retailer is looking to give you several options.
While gaming-focused retailer GameStop has had its fair share of financial woes lately, it's still as viable as any for those purchases as anywhere else. As reported by VentureBeat, the company has internally looked at offering consumers three options besides straight payment. They are installment plans offered through third-party companies like Quadpay that will let you split your payment plan into 4 payments across 6 weeks, a layaway where you put a system on hold and pay on it for a set period of time, and a rent to own with a third party where you take the system of your choice home and pay the rest over the course of up to 12 months with interest.
As of now, nothing official has been announced, but at the very least GameStop seems to want to find multiple ways to sell you one of these new systems. The Xbox Series X and S will launch on November 10th. As of now we don't know the release date for the PS5, but most expect it to be within a similar time frame.
Xbox Series X And Xbox Series S To Support Dolby Vision And Dolby Atmos
While there's still big mysteries for Sony's PS5 (namely, when can you buy it and how much it is going to come out of your pocket to do so), Microsoft's next generation plans seem to be all on the table now. We now know they have two systems coming this November, the high-end Xbox Series X, and the more low-end, affordable Xbox Series S. They will retail for $499 and $299, respectively, and it seems like they're also going to potentially sound great.
As announced via their official Twitter, Dolby has announced the Series S and X will be the first gaming consoles to utilize both Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos. If you're unfamiliar, Vision is a form of HDR, while Atmos allows you to heighten your current audio hardware and even isolate certain aspects of tracks to improve. The Xbox Series S and X will launch on November 10th. Both will be see support for Dolby Atmos at launch, but Dolby Vision support will come later in 2021.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Gets Screenshots Showing Off Characters, Combat, And More
It was last year when we got the unveiling of Gods and Monsters, an open world title from the team behind Assassin's Creed Odyssey with a more cartoonish look. That game has now officially resurfaced with a slightly redesigned style in Immortals Fenyx Rising. The game promises a huge open world steeped in Greek mythology. We've seen a pretty extensive look at the gameplay to know what to expect already, and now we've got some high quality screens.
The screenshots run the gambit of showcasing the title, including the main character, Fenyx, in her default look. Though you can change that if you wish, as you can see below, Fenyx has several different armors you can equip (you can also alter things like skin color and gender, but the screenshots don't cover that). You also get a look at other characters, enemies, weapons as well as gameplay segments of puzzles and combat. You can check them all out below.
Immortal Fenyx Rising will release on December 3rd across all major platforms.
Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake Also Listed As Coming To Switch – Rumor
It's been many years since Ubisoft revisited the Prince of Persia franchise, and that changed today when it was announced that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would be getting a remake to kick off next year. The original 2003 game is one of the most acclaimed games of all time and, well, the remake's unveiling was…something. Either way, many were surprised at the lack of Switch version, but it seems it could still be in the cards.
While the game has not been officially announced for the system, Cheap Ass Gamer has shown that a listing for the game on Switch popped up on Gamestop (as of writing this, that listing is still live). It lists the title as coming in March as opposed to January. To further the flames, as reported by MyNintendoNews, the official website for the title also listed the Switch version at one point though it has since been removed.
Since Ubisoft has not officially confirmed the Switch version it remains rumor for now, but signs seem to be pointing to it coming to the system at a later date. For now, officially, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 21st 2021.

Riders Republic Announced, Launches in February 2021
Well, here's something surprising. At today's Ubisoft Forward showcase, Ubisoft actually managed to announce a new game that hadn't been leaked. Riders Republic is a brand new IP, which looks like a rather chaotic and interesting multiplayer title.
Focusing on dangerous extreme sports across a variety of different locations, Riders Republic sees players riding motorbikes, flying with wingsuits, snowboarding, and skiing in what's described as a massive multiplayer playground.
There's multiple PvP activities for both solo and team play across various modes, including competitive races, trick challenges, ranked multiplayer modes, 6v6 PvP matchups, and more. There's also a career mode with a full-fledged progression system, and activities spread out across various sporting activities. Finally, there's also in-game gear and cosmetics to unlock and work towards, You can get more details on the game through here.

Watch Dogs: Legion Trailer Details Recruitment, Aiden Pearce Returns as DLC
Watch Dogs: Legion will be one of several Xbox Series X/S launch titles in November. However, it launches for current-gen by October end, so it helps to brush up on how the game's recruitment system works. Check out the latest trailer below which details the different backstories, skills and personalities that each potential recruit can offer.
Ubisoft also confirmed that Aiden Pearce, the protagonist of the first Watch Dogs, was making a return. Dubbed as "older but not necessarily wiser" (which is concerning given how dumb he was in the first game), Aiden will be playable and have his own dedicated story chapter that's part of the Season Pass. This reflects how the NPC recruitment system can be used to slot in all kinds of different new characters and missions.
Watch Dogs: Legion is out on October 29th for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It launches for Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X on November 10th with support for ray-tracing and other graphical improvements like higher resolution textures. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Supports 4K/120 FPS on Xbox Series X, PS5
Ubisoft Montreal unveiled a new trailer for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, showcasing new Operator Sam Fisher aka Zero. It's a nifty animated trailer and Year 5 Pass owners can play as Zero right now as part of Operation Shadow Legacy. Check out Sam handily dispose of Oryx below.
More importantly, the developer confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege would be coming to Xbox Series X and PS5 later this year. Along with supporting 4K resolution, it will also run in 120 frames per second. Current-gen owners will also receive a free upgrade to next-gen with progression presumably carrying over.
A release date has yet to be provided for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions but it should be available shortly after the consoles' respective launches. Ubisoft Forward continues with announcements already being made for Immortals: Fenyx Rising and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game Complete Edition Launches This Holiday
Ubisoft are no strangers to leaks, and a new Scott Pilgrim announcement is just one of many that was leaked prior to today's Ubisoft Forward event (or teased, to be more precise). Unsurprisingly, that leak turned out to be accurate, though it wasn't exactly a new game, as many would have been expecting.
Ubisoft have announced Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game Complete Edition (boy, that's a mouthful). The package will include the base game, as well as the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells downloadable content, and will be coming to current- and next-gen platforms this Holiday. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake Announced, Launches in January 2021
The Prince is finally back. After multiple leaks over the past few weeks, Ubisoft officially announced Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake during their Ubisoft Forward digital show. Check out its reveal trailer below.
Developed with Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai as the lead studios, The Sands of Time Remake recreates the beloved 2003 action-adventure classic in rather faithful fashion. Yuri Lowenthal, who portrayed the Prince in the Sands of Time trilogy (and in The Forgotten Sands) returns to reprise his role.
The reveal trailer shows plenty of gameplay footage, focusing on the series' famed parkour and platforming, as well as the time manipulation gameplay that the Dagger of Time enables. Visually, it looks… not that impressive, but I imagine fans of the series will be glad that it's coming back with a proper new installment nonetheless.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake launches for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 21, and will also be playable on Xbox Series X and PS5 via backward compatibility.
Immortals Fenyx Rising Out on December 3rd 2020, First Gameplay Footage Revealed
Ubisoft finally unveiled Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly known as Gods and Monsters. It sees the player as a Greek hero ship-wrecked on an island and meeting Hermes to save the Pantheon from Typhon, the Titan. Check out the reveal trailer and gameplay below.
Fenyx is the protagonist but players can customize them as they see fit. As they traverse the isle, there will be new legendary weapons and abilities like the Wings of Daedalus for floating and flying over enemies. Along with combat, there will be puzzles to solve which can help improve one's powers.
A variety of different foes will be encountered, including mythical beings like the Gorgon. There are a number of regions to explore, each governed by a Greek god and it will also be open from the outset to explore. Immortals Fenyx Rising is out on December 3rd 2020 for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Uplay and Epic Games Store). It will even have a free demo on Stadia with only a Gmail account required for playing it.
