The Music Locker Coming to GTA Online

The world of Rockstar Games' GTA Online will soon welcome the new underground club The Music Locker.

Located beneath The Diamond Casino and Resort, this East Los Santos destination will pay host to residencies by world class DJs like Berlin collective Keinemusik, Detroit legend Moodymann and his backup dancers, and Palms Trax. The Music Locker will also bring with it new gameplay features, including new dance moves and the ability to dance with a partner.

The club will be open to all players, but those looking for VIP access (which includes added comfort and table service) will need a Penthouse at The Diamond Casino & Resort.

The club will make its debut alongside the launch of The Cayo Perico Heist later this month. More music news from Los Santos will be released in the coming days, including more new DJs, new radio stations, and extra music for existing stations in what amounts to the city's biggest musical update since launch.

skelets Review

In what is the only local multiplayer skeleton brawler on the market (please correct us if we're wrong), Sokpop Collective's skelets tasks players with finding gems and blasting bones. Does this free for all provide a scary good time, or is this title frightfully bad?

skelets Review

A single-screen action title, the goal of skelets is simple – grab all the gems before your opponents do. Armed with a trusty pickaxe, players must dig their way through pits, islands, crypts, pyramids, and castles in an attempt to grab these various shinies. Everything is confined to one screen, with all gems and vantage points in one easy to see spot.

However, the competition is fierce and the landscape is rough. Each character has a health bar to be mindful of, one that can be chipped away with the aforementioned pickaxe. However, that's not the only tool at your disposal; buried within the rubble are a number of weapons that can be used to settle the score. A skeleton with a shotgun or bazooka might sound like a silly concept, but the end result is anything but. Take down an enemy, and they'll be able to respawn after a set time in one of the nearby caskets.

Unfortunately, despite the outlandish premise, skelets' execution is somewhat lackluster. It starts with the overall match length – most bouts are over before they even begin, with players collecting all gems in around a minute's time on average. Digging around for gems feels somewhat awkward too, something that would be more at home in QWOP than a competitive brawler. When paired with the bone-headed AI that likes to jump in place and do nothing, it makes for a mediocre package. Though this title was most certainly designed for short bursts, there is no strategy, depth, or balancing to speak of. Rather, what you see is what you get, and what you get is a truly casual title.

Completing each level in its single player mode unlocks the next one in succession and an achievement to go along with it. As a result, those who are semi-skilled can fly through this game solo in around 15 minutes, with many players having the same type of experience between them.

For those who'd rather bring a friend along, a versus mode is also available. The same maps can be chosen, and though there are not a lot of variables to adjust, the inclusion is still welcome nonetheless. There are also achievements for playing a set amount of times, though there is nothing else to unlock beyond that.

The bite-sized action of skelets is good for a brief visit, but the lack of variety kills its chances for any sort of long term appeal. Skeletons with shotguns is the stuff dreams are made of, but the end product is far less interesting.

This review of skelets was done on the PC. The game was purchased digitally.

Shotgun Witch Review

Witches might have black magic on their side, but the hero of Asephy's Shotgun Witch has a Remington to do her bidding. An arena-based bullet hell, should players gear up to fight unspeakable horrors with their double-barreled friend?

Shotgun Witch Review

Shotgun Witch kicks off with the titular witch in dire straits – demons have taken away her spell book while she was asleep, and she can no longer cast spells with it missing. Not one to take things lying down, she grabs her trusty 12 gauge double barrel Remington from S-Mart (likely a hand-me-down from the one and only Ash Wiliams) and gets to blasting.

Most players will know what to expect in this arena-based shooter. Players are given a 360 degree vantage point, and can blast anything and everything that comes into your vicinity. Any and all characters post a threat, and the only way to come out on top is to make sure every last one of them is destroyed.

Unfortunately, there's not much here that makes Shotgun Witch stand out from the pack. While it is nice that there are two different firing modes and a dash move with cooldown, it just isn't enough to make a lasting impression. The game does provide a challenge – dodging Jack O' Lanterns, pink orbs, and a bevvy of bullets will keep you on your toes. However, when the biggest wrinkle in the formula is the ability to blast through the final bosses' bullets, it comes across as a little underwhelming.

The same goes for Shotgun Witch's presentation. The sprite work in the intro and outro is well done, but the core gameplay screen fails to pop with dull colors and a far too zoomed out perspective. While the theme has potential, it is far too underutilized.

That's not to say this title will last for hours on end. The entirety of Shotgun Witch's main mode can be completed in around 15 minutes. The game is overly gracious by giving players the chance to resume during their most recent wave. If anything, most players would have seen most of what this title has to offer within the first few minutes, as the stage doesn't change and there are not enough enemy types to make each wave stand out from one another.

Outside of the main mode and a handful of achievements (including ones for biting the dust a set amount of times), there is also an Infinite Mode that provides endless blasting. However, it has the same amount of variety as the main mode, with few enemy types and a lack of any serious patterns.

The combination of shotguns and witches should make for a grand ol' time, but the arena-based action of Shotgun Witch fails to impress with its lack of variety and short length.

This review of Shotgun Witch was done on the PC. The game was freely downloaded.

Persona 5 Strikers Arriving Stateside February 23

Released in Japan earlier this year, Atlus West will release Persona 5 Strikers for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam stateside on February 23, 2021.

A gameplay crossover between Koei Tecmo's Dynasty Warriors and Atlus's Persona 5 (you can read our review of the base game here), Persona 5 Strikers is a hack-and-slash title set six months after the events of the original title. This title once again follows Joker and the Phantom Thieves of Hearts as they set out to investigate a series of mysterious change of heart cases that are happening all across Japan.

Although this title uses a real-time combat system, players can also utilize a command-based skills menu that pauses the action to allow for the tactical positioning of Persona skills. In addition, all party members can obtain new moves (which are known as "Master Arts") by controlling characters manually and taking down enemies. Hitting enemy weak points can also activate a 1 More or All-Out Attack.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Kalliopes Distress Guide

Immortals Fenyx Rising Kalliopes Distress Guide
One of the vaults for a Tear of Aphrodite can be tough. This Immortals Fenyx Rising Kalliopes Distress Guide will tell you how to solve the final fire puzzle, with the switches on the floor that must be pressed in a specific order in order to progress.

There are many vaults scattered throughout the world of Immortals Fenyx Rising. One particular vault, the Kalliopes in Distress objective, has a series of basic puzzles followed by a single puzzle at the end that can be a tough nut to crack. Finding the clue can be challenging, if you miss it, but figuring out the order can be a lot of trial and error. Especially if you have a bad memory, mine is terrible. Let's get to it.

Immortals Fenyx Rising Kalliopes Distress Guide

Immortals Fenyx Rising Kalliopes Distress Guide
Just before you enter the area with the fireballs and switches, near the respawn checkpoint, there's a wall of squares. This is the clue for this particular puzzle. You can see that there are 9 different switches you have to turn on, as shown by the bronze cubes in the spaces above. However, that's not enough. They also need to be turned on in a specific order.

Simply follow the order in the image above. You start in the bottom left and go North twice. Then top left and East once. Then the ones near the top right and go down. Finally, the last two, it's the inside one followed by the outside one.

Follow those steps and you'll have this puzzle finished in no time.

Immortals Fenyx Rising King's Peak Myth Challenge Guide
There's a mandatory Myth Challenge in the final region of the game. This Immortals Fenyx Rising King's Peak Myth Challenge Guide will walk you through the Myth Challenge puzzle, providing the solution so that you can carry on your adventures up to the summit of King's Peak.

During the main story quest, Family Emergency, Fenyx is trying to beat Ligyron to the summit of King's Peak. On the way to the top, you come across a puzzle inside the quest zone and a prompt appears telling you that this Myth Challenge is a requirement before you're able to climb further up the mountain. It's a simple puzzle but the solution is easily missed.

Immortals Fenyx Rising King's Peak Myth Challenge Guide

Immortals Fenyx Rising King's Peak Myth Challenge Guide
There's a heavy cube in the hand of the statue. Pick that up and then run towards the ruins with the pressure plate and switch. Place it on the pressure pad and then stand on the switch to open the gate ahead. Dash through the gate and then use the switch on the inside to open the gate. Then take the heavy cube into the room with you.

Immortals Fenyx Rising King's Peak Myth Challenge Guide
Next up, cut down a tree from outside and bring that in with you too. Once inside, place the trunk from the tree on the pressure switched and stand on the other switch. Then you throw the heavy cube over the top of the fence ahead, so it drops behind and lands on the pressure pad there.

Immortals Fenyx Rising King's Peak Myth Challenge Guide
On the other side, there's a hole in the roof. You need to use your pulling power to pull down the cube from above so it falls below, behind where the last red wall was. Then you can throw this cube with the other, to fully press the pressure switch.

Take the baby-shaped stone and deposit it in the hand of the first statue.

The Forge of The Gods needs lighting once again. This guide on How To Reignite The Forge Of The Gods In Immortals Fenyx Rising will take you on a journey, step by step, to lighting the Forge of the Gods so you can complete The God of Wars quest and get yourself some powerful armor.

There are three aspects to the Forge. The entrance to the Forge itself, which is blocked by a Mortal Barrier, and then four furnaces, two on either side, and then the waterwheels and fans There's one on the North side and one on the South side. Two on the upper area and two below. All furnaces must be lit for the main Mortal Barrier to be drop. So let's get started. We'll deal with the upper furnaces first.

How To Reignite The Forge Of The Gods In Immortals Fenyx Rising

How To Reignite The Forge Of The Gods
Starting at the one to the left of the entrance as you approach. There's a lever that you need to pull that lifts the Mortal Barrier blocking the furnace. Before pulling the lever, look for a nearby statue that is pushing a Wheelbarrow. You will see a piece of coal in the wheelbarrow. Pick it up, pull the lever and throw the coal into the furnace. Then use an Apollo Arrow to fire an arrow fire into the furnace.

How To Reignite The Forge Of The Gods
Moving on to the other furnace, with the switch you must stand on. It's the same as the other side, you just need to find the fuel. Head down the stairs. You will see a gathering of small coal bits on the right. Just behind those coal lumps is a small area that drops down below. You can find the coal in there.

How To Reignite The Forge Of The Gods
The third furnace, just down from the previous one is easy. Destroy the corruption that surrounds the statue and the furnace itself. Throw in the nearby coal, and then light as before.

How To Reignite The Forge Of The Gods In Immortals Fenyx Rising
For the final forge, do the same. Plenty of coal on the floor nearby.

This is where I got stuck. I'm not 100% sure if you can proceed any further until you have started the main quest line in The Forgelands, where you help the robot restart the forge. That quest will tell you what needs to be done further. I have included the steps below, just in case you can do it before you have the main story quest here.

Waterwheels
There are three Waterwheels to the East of the forge, they are both blocked by corruption. Destroy the corruption with your sword to get them running again.

Lastly, there's two huge floor fans to the North East, guarded by enemies, puzzles, and corruption. Reactivate the fans to finally open the forge.

And that's How To Reignite The Forge Of The Gods In Immortals Fenyx Rising .

The in-game tutorial options don't help all that much here, as they tell you to simply select a mount in your inventory to summon it. However, as you're here, you've likely already figured out, that doesn't work.

Mounts are special creatures you can encounter when you are exploring the world. Unlike other wild animals, they don't attack you.
