Valheim Guide – How to Find Buried Treasure and Build the Artisan Table

Valheim

The 10th world of Yggdrasil is a beautiful but scary place. However, as you explore Valheim, there a number of hidden treasures and secrets to uncover. Buried treasure is one of these and can provide gold, arrows and whatnot. Finding it thankfully doesn't take too much effort.

You do need to defeat Eikthyr, the first boss, before going treasure hunting. Upon felling it, use the Hard Antlers it drops to craft the Antler Axe. This will be your means of digging up the treasure. If you want a more precise location for the treasure, you could also take down the third boss, Bonemass. This drops the Wishbone, which can be used to locate buried items.

Now head to the Meadows and keep an eye out on stones that are jutting out of the ground. Dig around there or pull out the Wishbone – when the latter starts sparkling green and making beeping noises, you'll know the treasure is close. Search for other conspicuous stones and dig around to unearth more loot. Alternatively, you can use the Wishbone to locate Silver Ores buried underground in the Mountains.

How to Build the Artisan Table

Many of Valheim's higher-tier structures can only be unlocked by using the Artisan Table. Building it is a whole different story though. First, you need to kill Moder, the fourth boss, but summoning it requires locating three dragon eggs and sacrificing them on the altar. Killing Moder will net you Dragon Tears – two of these, along with 10 Wood, are used to craft the Artisan Table.

Once you have it though, you can create structures like the Windmill, Blast Furnace and Spinning Wheel. The Blast Furnace is especially useful since it can be used to turn black metal scraps into Blackmetal, which can then be used to craft the Blackmetal Axe, Blackmetal Sword, Blackmetal Shield, Blackmetal Knife and Blackmetal Ategir. To create the Blast Furnace, make sure you have 20 Fine Wood, 20 Stones, 10 Iron and 5 Surtling Cores along with the Artisan Table.

For the Windmill, you'll need 20 Stone, 30 Wood and 30 Iron Nails along with the Artisan Table. Its main function is turning Barley into Barley Flour, which can be used to make Bread, Blood Pudding, Fish Wraps and Lox Meat Pie. However, since it runs on wind which can be inconsistent, creating several Windmills is key to getting the most output.

Finally, for the Spinning Wheel, you'll need 20 Fine Wood, 10 Iron Nails and 5 Leather Scraps along with the Artisan Table. This will turn Flax into Linen Thread, which is necessary for crafting the Blackmetal weapons and Atgier, Padded Greaves/Cuirass/Helmet, the Linen Cap and Porcupine.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes to be Announced This Week – Rumour

pokemon diamond and pearl

With the first three generations of Pokemon games having received remakes, series fans have been waiting for remakes of Gen 4 games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl for a while now, and recent rumours have suggested that those are on the horizon. Centro Pokemon reported last month that according to their sources, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl remakes would be announced in celebration of the series' 25th anniversary this year.

Pokemon's 25th anniversary celebrations are happening this Saturday, February 27, which is the date Pokemon Red and Blue originally released for the Game Boy in Japan in 1996. However, it seems the announcement for the Diamond and Pearl remakes will be made before that. Centro Pokemon recently took to Twitter to state that the announcement would be made during the week, and that fans wouldn't have to wait until Pokemon Day on February 27.

As always, it's best to take this with a grain of salt, and with no way to verify the information just yet, we're just going to have to wait and see what happens during the week. Stay tuned, and we'll keep you updated should we learn anything else.

Kingdom Hearts 3 ReMind

After many years of holding out, Square Enix finally announced that the Kingdom Hearts franchise was coming to PC via the Epic Games Store next month. The series has a long winding history of releases, and pretty much all of it is coming to EGS, including the latest mainline entry in the series, Kingdom Hearts 3. Its PC requirements are now live as well.

All the other titles' listings are also up on Epic Games Store with other entries having lesser requirements, so if you can run this one you are good for the whole series.

Xbox Series X/S' FPS Boost Will Mostly Focus on Xbox One Games for Now

xbox series xs fps boost

With support for an initial batch of five solid games, Microsoft's new FPS Boost feature – the newest addition to their increasingly impressive backward compatibility support on Xbox Series X/S – is already off to a great start, and with Microsoft promising that more games will continue to get support for the feature in the coming months and years, there's definitely cause for excitement.

But can players look forward to even some of the older Xbox legacy titles benefitting from the technology? The current batch of games is exclusively from the Xbox One library, but how long will it be before we begin seeing Xbox 360 and original Xbox games getting support added for FPS Boost as well? According to Xbox's director of program management Jason Ronald, for now, Microsoft are focused on Xbox One games.

Speaking with Kinda Funny, Ronald said that while support for now is mostly going to be for Xbox One games, Microsoft are still evaluating how to add the technology to older titles as well.

"Right now, we're focused primarily on Xbox One generation titles because we've seen the best results there," said Ronald. "We're still evaluating, can we bring this technology back to Xbox 360 games or original Xbox games?"

Thankfully, there's no shortage of games from the Xbox One library that would really benefit from FPS Boost (Dragon Age: Inquisition might be getting support soon), so it's not like Microsoft are going to run out of games to look at anytime soon. Let's just hope it isn't too long before we begin seeing the feature in older games as well.

NieR Re[in]carnation Has Been Downloaded Over 3 Million Times

NieR Reincarnation

Thanks in big part to the unexpected success and performance of NieR Automata, the franchise became an unlikely hit for Square Enix. Right now the eyes are primarily on the upcoming remaster of the first game in the series, NieR Replicant. However, it's not the only game that's fairly new for the franchise, as the mobile title Re[in]carnation is out in Japan, and its success shows the series wasn't just a one-hit wonder.

As announced on the official Japanese Twitter, it seems the mobile title has been quite the success having now been downloaded over 3 million times. The game is free to play, so what kind of money it made in that time is up in the air, but 3 million is still impressive, especially since the game is only widely available in one region. They are also giving out 1,000 gems to every active user due to the milestone.

NieR Re[in]carnation is available now in Japan on all compatible iOS and Android devices. The game has been confirmed to come to the west, but as of now no time frame is set.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Could be Getting FPS Boost Support on Xbox Series X/S Soon

dragon age inquisition

Microsoft recently unveiled and kicked off FPS Boost for backward compatibility on Xbox Series X/S, which natively boosts the frame rate of select titles (though that might come at the cost of resolution in some cases, it seems). The feature has launched with support from an initial batch of five games, namely Watch Dogs 2, Far Cry 4, UFC 4, Sniper Elite 4, and New Super Lucky's Tale. It seems, however, that if things had gone a little differently, that batch might have had one pretty big additional game.

As per Xbox's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, BioWare's 2014 RPG Dragon Age: Inquisition was planned for the first batch of FPS Boost supported games, but things didn't exactly pan out. "As with all best laid plans, things sometimes change at the last minute," said Hryb.

Given the fact that Microsoft were looking at the game as one of the first to support FPS Boost, the obvious implication would be that it's still being looked at, and might be one of the games to receive support for the feature in the near future (hopefully even the next batch). Microsoft have said that they'll be adding support for FPS Boost to more games going forward, while Hryb says we'll be hearing more "in the coming weeks and months."

Don't expect every single backward compatibility game to support FPS Boost though, as the feature might not be possible in certain games. Read more on that through here.

Sony Still Acquiring Bluepoint Games, "Just a Matter of When" – Rumor

bluepoint games

Amid the many acquisitions, both rumored and definite, Sony acquiring Bluepoint Games has been one of the more interesting. The latter has worked exclusively on Sony platforms over the past few years, most recently with Demon's Souls on the PS5. So an acquisition by Sony doesn't seem like the most far-fetched deal.

Nevertheless, when MarsipanRumpan posted this on ResetEra and agreed to be banned if it didn't come to pass before February 28th, there was some skepticism. Administrator Transistor has since commented recently that, "There's been smoke from multiple sources about Bluepoint being acquired by Sony, so it's pretty much going to happen, it's just a matter of when. I had faith enough that it was going to happen so I would never have to ban them in the first place."

Again, take this all with a grain of salt. It would certainly make sense given how well the relationship between both companies has worked out. Even if Bluepoint isn't acquired, there have been rumors of it working on a Bloodborne remaster with QLOC of Dark Souls Remastered fame. This will apparently be coming to PC but you can bet a PS5 release is on the cards as well. Stay tuned for more details, as always.

Starfield Release Targeted for 2021 "As of Late Last Year" – Insider

Starfield_02

With all the news surrounding Bethesda Softworks as of late, especially with its acquisition at the hands of Microsoft, the questions surrounding Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6 haven't stopped. When will we hear more? When are they releasing? At least for the former, the goal seems to have been this year according to insider NateDrake on ResetEra.

Responding to comments by VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb on Microsoft holding an event in March, NateDrake said, "There has been a strong hope and desire to have Starfield launch this yer. How major the impacts due to COVID have been on the title is anyone's guess, but 2021 was the intended goal for release as of a few months ago."

Of course, he made sure to clarify that it's not guaranteed to happen. "I'm not saying it'll 100% for certain happen; but, as of late last year, I was hearing the goal was to launch this year. But it is a Bethesda game and delays or issues may arise to prevent the release from coming."

If it does release this year, it would certainly fit Bethesda's M.O. for releasing titles. Both Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 were revealed and released in their respective years. As for the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen this affect development for other Bethesda-published titles like Arkane Studios' Deathloop.

Even if the company wants to follow the same process for Starfield, it will be interesting to see how Microsoft factors in. If the rumored March event following Bethesda's acquisition is indeed taking place, we may learn more there. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition – Dan Hibiki Joins the Roster Today

Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition - Dan Hibiki

Season 5 of Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition kicks off today with Dan Hibiki joining the roster. As the first DLC character in the Season Pass, Dan brings new combos to the table. He's still plenty humorous though, as the trailer below showcases.

Billed as training and becoming stronger, Dan brings some fairly good-looking combos to the table. His V-Triggers are very good for setting up combos while his V-Shift seems to function as a nice last-minute evade (complete with a twinkling eye). Alternate costumes are showcased at the end, including one that's seemingly a cartoon version of Dan's head.

Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition is out now for PS4 and PC. Along with Dan, Season 5 introduces other DLC characters like Rose, Oro and Akira from Project Justice. Purchasing the Premium or Character Pass will also provide a bonus character "Eleven". The fifth and final DLC fighter for this season has yet to be revealed so stay tuned for more details.

Final Fantasy XVI Story New Hints – What Did Naoki Yoshida Say?

Final Fantasy XVI Story New Hints Final Fantasy XVI first screenshots 8 2021

Naoki Yoshida just shared some new story hints and interesting comments on Final Fantasy XVI.

Final Fantasy XVI (PS5) producer Naoki Yoshida appeared on radio show One Morning on February 22, during the game segment Game Hack.  Naoki Yoshida was invited to chat about FF14, but was also asked questions on FF16. Here's what YoshiP said.

Naoki Yoshida first talked about his own past experiences with games, most notably with Street Fighter III 3rd Strike. Next, he spoke about FF14. And also shared some tips for those aiming to become game developers themselves. YoshiP also shared his current musical moods and how he regularly listens to BTS songs like Dynamite. It cheers him up while driving to work during these rough times with the pandemic.

Lastly, Naoki Yoshida was asked about Final Fantasy XVI.

The radio host first asked what kind of game Final Fantasy XVI will turn out to be. YoshiP stated it'll focus a lot on both action gameplay and story elements.

Naoki Yoshida: "Hmm, we only released one trailer for now. As it shows, this time we're focusing a lot on action. We're making an FF game featuring a lot of action and story. "

Following that, Yoshida was asked about players who don't like action games.

He answered that there will be several modes to help these players. Alongside other types of support such as simpler controls.

Naoki Yoshida: "Of course, Final Fantasy has a lot of players who just want to enjoy the story. So we have a mode and things to support players who want to focus on the story. We're of course preparing things like simpler controls too. So there's no need to worry on that front."

Lastly, the radio host asked Naoki Yoshida about the story of Final Fantasy XVI

We've covered in the past all Final Fantasy XVI story elements and hints Square Enix revealed.

Naoki Yoshida: "There's really not more I can say for now. I'm part of the generation that has been playing Final Fantasy since its beginnings, at release. I'm almost 50 years old, so I've experienced a lot of things in my life. So I want to makes games that even those who know about how hard life can be at times can still enjoy. The kind of distress you experience after you've become an adult. That's what I strive for with FF14 and the story of the Warrior of Light too.  I think FF16 will be a Fantasy for those who grew up with Final Fantasy, and also know the harsh reality of the world. I can't tell you more or I'll get yelled at, I think I already told you a lot."

Naoki Yoshida recently spoke about the development of Final Fantasy XVI. He most notably explained at TGS 2020 that the game's reveal trailer genuinely shows what the game looks like. With as much gameplay as possible. To avoid fans thinking it'll be years until release.

In October 2020, Naoki Yoshida also explained the scenario of Final Fantasy XVI is already complete. However, many parts still need some work, such as cutscenes and boss battles.

If you speak Japanese and would like to listen to YoshiP yourself, an unofficial reupload of the radio show segment is currently up on YouTube.

Final Fantasy XVI has no release date yet. Square Enix previously said more news on the game is coming in 2021.

Square Enix first announced Final Fantasy XVI on both PS5 and PC, but the PC mention was later removed.

Roblox All Star Tower Defense Codes February 2021

roblox all star tower defense codes

Roblox All Star Tower Defense is one of the most popular Roblox games out there. It is quite similar to many other tower defense games present in Roblox. However, what makes it unique is instead of using guns to take down enemies, players have to use anime characters. These characters include some of the most popular characters in anime history, such as Goku, Naruto, and many more. Recently, the developers also released a major update for the game which added a few more characters such as Black Goku, Edward, Darui, and Blackbeard.

If you have been playing the game, you might be well aware of promotional codes that can be redeemed in the game. These codes award you with gems, which in turn can be used to unlock more heroes which you can fight with. The codes keep changing on a regular basis, with the creators releasing new codes with every update. Most codes have a validity period and they expire after a while. Moreover, each code can only be used once, so if you have redeemed any of the codes, it is not possible to redeem it again.

The First Pokemon Direct of 2021 Could Reveal Diamond and Pearl Remakes This Week

Pokemon Direct 2021 Diamond and Pearl Remakes Rumored

There's a lot going on in the world of Pokemon this year. The series celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2021, with Diamond and Pearl turning 15 and Pokemon GO turning five. That's lead speculation to run wild recently that we could be in store for some very exciting Pokemon news. Not least of that, we could get the first Pokemon Direct of 2021 on February 27, the day known as Pokemon Day. That direct is reportedly going to reveal Diamond and Pearl remakes, as well as plenty more exciting news. Let's take a look at what we could see.

Pokemon Direct 2021 theories.

Nintendo held their first Nintendo Direct of 2021 last week and it came and went with no Pokemon news. While this was to be expected, it only fueled the flames that we could be due for the first Pokemon Direct of 2021 very soon. Couple that with the fact that February 27 is the date the first games released back in 1996, and is also known as Pokemon Day, and you have a perfect storm.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Remakes theories.

There's plenty of plausibility behind Pokemon Diamond and Pearl getting a remake. As previously mentioned, the pair of games turn 15 this year, so what better way to celebrate.

Diamond and Pearl are also the oldest games yet to receive the remake treatment. Red/Blue/Green have received it multiple times, Gold and Silver got Heart Gold and Soul Silver and Ruby and Sapphire got Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

There have also been a variety of leaks from a reliable source over the last few months. These leaks have heavily pointed towards Generation 4 remakes.

What else could we see?

Rumours have been flying around for a while about another Johto remake, in the style of Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee. With the rumoured Diamond and Pearl remakes though, it's hard to imagine The Pokemon Company and Game Freak would be working on both.

We will likely get a deeper dive into the New Pokemon Snap, however. The game was revealed to much delight last summer, but since then, very few details have been shared. It releases in just a couple of months time, so why not whet the appetites.

It could also be the time to reveal Generation 9. Pokemon Sword and Shield seem to have run their course now, with both DLC packs having been released to the world as of last year. We usually get a new Pokemon Generation every few years, so why not tease it now ready for release next holiday season.

Genshin Impact KFC Collaboration in China Leaked, Check Out the New Skins

Genshin Impact KFC Collaboration

Since its launch back in September last year, Genshin Impact has turned into one of the most trending free-to-play titles in the world. The game's vast open-world map offers a lot of activities, quests, challenges, and hobbies for the players, allowing them to team up with friends and play together. During the short time since its launch, the game has caught the attention of some big companies around the world as sponsors, but the newest one, which is yet to be announced officially, is a Genshin Impact KFC collaboration that has been spotted recently in China.

Thanks to PrimusDep on Reddit and Zaniet on Twitter, we now have our first look at the skins coming to Genshin Impact, thanks to a yet to be announced collaboration with KFC. As reported by Zaniet, the Genshin Impact KFC crossover will offer KFC Diluc Bucket and Wing skin for a limited time. You can check out the male and female version of the skin down below:

Based on the banner above, the crossover will apparently go live on March 8, which means we are still a few weeks away from the event and probably the official announcement of the collaboration.

If you are playing Genshin Impact regularly, make sure to follow our guides and tips for the game as the world of Teyvat has a lot to discover. The Genshin Impact universe has yet to be completed by the developers. The game is set to receive new content every six weeks and is supposed to feature seven major regions. According to the development team, it will probably take several years to finish the Genshin Impact project.

Genshin Impact is now available on PS4, PC, Android, and iOS devices. The developer, miHoYo, has promised to launch the game on PS5 and Nintendo Switch sometime in the future. If you want to play the game on PC, you should head to the game's official website and download it through the game's unique launcher as it's not available on third-party markets such as Steam or Epic Games.

FaZe Adapt Has Been Banned From Twitch Again – Here's What We Know

adapt banned

One of the most popular members of the FaZe clan, Adapt, has been banned from Twitch yet again. The popular streamer took to Twitter to express his anger at the ban, simply tweeting "For f**** sake".

Who Is FaZe Adapt?

Alexander 'Adapt' Hamilton is one of the most popular members of FaZe clan, he is also the director of the group's Call of Duty sniping group. Adapt is known as a professional gamer, streamer, and YouTuber. As I'm sure most of you can work out, his content revolves mainly around Call of Duty.

FaZe Adapt has over six million subscribers on YouTube, and almost three million followers on Twitter.

Why Has Adapt Been Banned?

Everything is speculation as of writing, as neither Twitch nor Adapt have stated the reason for the ban. But all signs are pointing towards Adapt showing a clip during his stream that included the confederate flag being the reason for his most recent ban.

This isn't the first time Adapt has been banned from Twitch, he's becoming quite a regular for it. His first ban came in May of 2020 and lasted a total of three days. This initial ban came from Adapt allegedly streaming "suggestive content or activities". Adapt was then banned again just last week, on February 15. He had recently returned to streaming on Twitch, and on his first day back was hit with a ban for streaming GTA RP.

Twitch are usually quite tight-lipped about the reasoning behind banning a streamer, and don't hold back when it comes to bans. Recently, Fortnite professional Clix was also banned from the streaming platform for unknown reasons.

What Happens Next?

After back to back ban hammers coming down on FaZe adapt, he may be looking into streaming on other platforms such as YouTube. But more than likely, he'll sit out the ban until it's over and return to streaming on Twitch. Hopefully this time Adapt will last longer than one week before getting banned again.

Wind Waker HD, A Link to the Past and Other Zelda Hits That Deserve the Switch Treatment in 2021

wind waker switch

This year sees The Legend of Zelda celebrate an incredible milestone. One of Nintendo's biggest pillars of success turns 35 this year, joining Mario (who turned 35 last year) and Metroid. Since Skyward Sword HD was confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, there has been lots of speculation about which games should join it. I take a look at Wind Waker, A Link to the Past and other Zelda games that deserve some Switch love.

Wind Waker HD Switch Port

After a lukewarm reception when it was revealed, Wind Waker has gone on to become one of the beloved games in the Zelda series. The stylish graphics, sense of exploration and gripping story make this a top tier game and one which should definitely have a place on Nintendo's hybrid console.

Rumours have been heating up that a Wind Waker Switch port is "100% coming this year", so it's time to keep everything crossed.

A Link to the Past Remake

Yes, you can already play A Link to the Past as part of the Nintendo Switch SNES Online service, but can you imagine this game getting the remake treatment ala Link's Awakening? A Link to the Past is already referred to as one of the best Zelda games of all time, if not one of the best games overall, so why not give it the love it deserves.

Minish Cap Remake

For me, Minish Cap is easily one of the best handheld Zelda titles. It's a game that's not talked about as often as it should be and it's one that deserves more. It sold less than two million copies on the GBA and you can bet, given the Link's Awakening treatment, would sell double or even triple that this year.

Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask Double Pack

Okay, this one is a little obvious. Everybody has played them (or at least Ocarina of Time) and they're already on basically every other Nintendo Console in some way shape or form, so why do we need them again? Because they're classics. Both of them.

I may be wrong, but I can't imagine too much work would need to be done to get them ready for the Switch and they would definitely sell. Lots.

Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks Double Pack

Now, I know these games aren't the best or the most beloved but given a lick of paint and a second chance on the Nintendo Switch could do really well. They sold nearly 8 million copies between them on the Nintendo DS and, marketed correctly, could do close to that on the Switch. I think.

The Legend of Zelda 35

Super Mario 35 was fun. It was a different take on the battle royale genre for everybody's favourite plumber's 35th anniversary. Given that the Mario edition is supposedly leaving the Switch on March 31, what better way to replace it than with a similar version of The Legend of Zelda.

Glyph Review

The art of physics is at your disposal with Bolverk Games' new 3D platformer Glyph. Taking cues from other roly-poly games like Super Monkey Ball and Marble Madness, does this little creature have what it takes to stand up to the greats?

Glyph Review

The world of the titular character Glyph is in complete disarray. After being woken up by Anobi, he soon learns of the great cataclysm. This traumatic event caused corruption in the sands, and it's up to Glyph to face this corruption and restore the temple city of Aaru.

With a game like this, the story serves as window dressing and nothing more. Anobi will chuck bits of lore at you as you explore its world and make your way around its hub, but it can safely be ignored with a few quick presses of the A button for those that want to get straight into the action. Rather, the game truly shines with its presentation – though it's not an incredibly detailed title that pushes the Nintendo Switch hardware, it does have a polished look that has plenty of charm.

Each level in Glyph serves as an obstacle course of sorts, one that has you navigating platforms and making your way to a portal. Keys must be gathered to open said portal, but there is a wealth of coins, gems, and artifacts that can also be collected along the way. It's not like the collectathons found in Banjo-Kazooie or Donkey Kong 64, but it does encourage replayability – especially when said goodies unlock additional pieces of content.

Of course, a game that prides itself on its platforming gameplay is only as good as its control scheme. Glyph largely delivers with its tight physics and freedom of control. The main character can bounce around the world like a pinball, but tools like a double jump, glide, and wall hop can all be used to maneuver around its world with ease. Just be warned: though the camera is mapped to the right analog stick, it can be tricky lining things up while in the thick of it.

If anything, that proves to be Glyph's greatest weakness – it's difficulty. Though there are time trials that reward different tiers of performances and a difficulty rating from one to five, actually getting the hang of things will take some serious time. Messing up a run is never fun, especially when there are multiple keys or a long distance to cover. Those itching for a challenge will enjoy taking it on, but those less patient best approach with caution.

As players make their way through the game, they'll be able to come across a number of unlockable avatars and trails. The core game also has a fair amount of meat to it, ensuring that players will be at it for a good while as they gradually unlock its world.

Though there is a bit of a learning curve, Glyph's physics-based platforming will appeal to speedrunners and collectathon aficionados alike. Its difficulty may be a turn off for some, but those willing to cut their teeth will enjoy bouncing their way around its world.

This review of Glyph was done on the Nintendo Switch. A digital code was provided by the publisher.

No Man's Sky Getting Companions Update

As part of update 3.2, Hello Games' No Man's Sky will see a galaxy of new companions.

The different creatures that roam the universe can now be tamed and adopted as companions. Once bonded, they can be summoned wherever one would like, even aboard the Space Anomaly.

Baby creatures in the title will inherit both the traits and the looks from their parents, but will never be exactly the same. Along the way, they will need care as they mature. By playing with them, feeding them, and giving them attention, players will be able to earn the trust of their companions. Each individual personality is one-of-a-kind, meaning that no two are the same.

These creatures will also bring with them a number of benefits, including scanning for resources, marking hazards, providing torchlight, hunting hostile creatures, and locating buildings. Each creature harness has a neural link with the Exosuit, which will enable for rudimentary translation of their thoughts.

The world of Claytechworks and Square Enix's Bravely Default series is set to make its return with the release of the Nintendo Switch sequel Bravely Default II. In honor of this title, Gamers Heroes takes a look at a striking cosplay of the series mainstay Edea Lee.

All edits were done by her, while her friend Gohan Hime was able to join in as Agnes. She even got an equestrian pal to join in for one of the shots. Needless to say, these shots perfectly capture the character's strong sense of justice.

Tiny Toy Tanks Review

The team at Retro Gears takes the explosive power of tanks and shrinks it down with the release of Tiny Toy Tanks. Featuring more than 40 missions and plenty of firepower, should players enlist for the cause?

Tiny Toy Tanks Review

Those looking to blast away enemy scum will be able to get the hang of the controls before too long. Your typical WASD setup is used for movement, with the left mouse button firing up to five bullets before a cooldown period and the right mouse button laying down bombs. There's not much to it, but this is one title that was designed to be simple at its core. Just be warned that the controls are fairly rigid, but that comes with the territory.

After choosing from one of two chapters, players will have to contend with a number of enemy threats, with each mission cleared by destroying them all. The good news is that they go down in one hit, but the bad news is so do you. Those playing on Easy will be given 200 lives, while those who like to live dangerously will be given a paltry 10. Just be warned that even the most hardened of players will go through lives like candy.

It's just a shame that the game is tedious and overly plain. Any sort of personality is thrown out the window by the time players get even a few minutes in. Generic music loops, tanks are recolored, and the world is made up of blocks. It is hard to get invested in its world, and even the inclusion of elements like steel boxes that ricochet bullets and lava isn't enough to make this title not feel like a drag.

Tiny Toy Tanks is never unfair, but it does feel like it is a bit too rudimentary at times. Certain tanks simply sit there, waiting to be sniped. Other levels are overly simple, consisting of a narrow pathway and nothing more. The fact that certain missions can be finished in less than a minute detracts from the game rather than adding to it. It would have been nice to see some more intelligent AI added to the title, but as it stands it just doesn't have enough to challenge all those who attempt it.

This lack of incentive extends to the other parts of the game. There's no leaderboards, no multiplayer, and no achievements to speak of – what you see is what you get. The inclusion of this functionality would have given this title some legs, but as it stands, players can mark this one as complete in a little less than an hour.

Tiny Toy Tanks is overly simple at its core, which proves to be its greatest weakness. The formula simply isn't taken far enough, and this rudimentary approach makes its many missions feel tedious before too long.
