Stardew Valley Switch Update – What Will it Add, When is it Coming?

stardew valley switch update 1.5

PC players of hit indie game Stardew Valley have been enjoying the latest update for a while now. The patch hit PC's before Christmas last year. That means Nintendo Switch players have been left waiting and wondering when they get the Stardew Valley Switch update. Let's take a look at everything we know so far and see if we can figure out when the update will drop on Nintendo's hybrid console.

Stardew Valley Update 1.5 – What does it include?

The answer is a lot! The game offers the players the opportunity to start new farms on a beach, adds hundreds of new items, quality of life changes, quests, crops, animals and so, so much more. It also adds a whole new island and a raft of multiplayer changes.

ConcernedApe's full patch notes can be found right here.

Stardew Valley Switch Update – Here's everything we know.

The main hint at when the Stardew Valley Switch update will arrive came from the game's developer ConcernedApe's Twitter account.

Back on January 23, the account tweeted that the console version of the update had been submitted for certification. This means that Nintendo, as well as Sony and Microsoft, will be assessing the update.

ConcernedApe also put out a Tweet at the end of last year stating, "The 1.5 update will be coming to consoles early next year. It's possible it could be ready by the end of January but I can't guarantee that yet." This means that it's missed it's January estimate, but must be close.

How long will the certification take?

That depends. Each company will have different testing methods and will need to assess all of the content to ensure it works and is suitable for their consoles. That means, even though we're already over two weeks since submission, we could still be waiting longer, especially as Nintendo is generally one of the more rigorous testers. Saying that, however, I can't imagine it will take much longer as the average wait time is usually between 10-14 days.

After approval, it's then down to ConcernedApe. They will decide on an aligned release date across all platforms and inform players that it is coming. My guess, this will be before the end of February

Shiny Roserade Pokemon GO Best Moveset – Community Day February 2021

Shiny Roserade Pokemon GO Community Day 2021

Sunday, February 7 marks the second Pokemon Go Community Day of 2021. The monthly event sees a new Pokemon highlighted, with increased spawns, an improved shiny rate and an exclusive move. This month, players are treated to none other than the Thorn Pokemon, Roselia. During the event, players can capture and evolve a shiny Roselia to become a Shiny Roserade. How many candies does it take and what is the best Shiny Roserade Pokemon GO Moveset though? Let's take a look.

How to get Shiny Roserade?

Throughout Community Day, which takes place 11 am-5 pm local time, players have an increased chance of finding a shiny Roselia. There is no guarantee you'll catch one, but your best bet is to click on every Roselia and use an Incense. Once caught, the flower-like Pokemon can be evolved into a shiny Roserade. To do so, players need 100 Roselia candy, which should be easy, and a Sinnoh Stone. In order to get a Sinnoh Stone, players can complete battles against other trainers and Team GO Rocket Leaders or as a GO Battle League reward.

Like Roselia, Shiny Roserade swaps its red and blue flowers for a more sinister black and purple set.

Shiny Roselia Pokemon GO Best Moveset.

Evolving Roselia into Roserade on Community Day will grant the Pokemon access to a special charged move, Weather Ball (Fire). This is now, theoretically, one of the moves you should employ for Roserade as it gives the Pokemon coverage against Ice-type Pokemon, which are super effective against it. For optimum use, Weather Ball (Fire) should be employed alongside the Bullet Seed fast move and Grass Knot charged move. However, Poison Jab is also an effective fast move and Sludge Bomb could replace Grass Knot.

What's next for Pokemon GO?

Following today's Community Day, trainers will have the chance to take part in the Kanto Tour. This ticketed event will allow players to catch all of the Pokemon from the Kanto region and their shiny forms. This includes Shiny Mew. The event will take place towards the end of the month on February 20.

It's Aerith's Birthday and Fans are Celebrating on Twitter

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Aerith Honey Bee Inn

Aerith Gainsborough, of Final Fantasy VII fame, is celebrating her birthday in Japan already (2/7) and Japanese fans are celebrating along with her. On Twitter fans are posting artwork, screenshots, edits, videos, cosplay, and other amazing tributes to this much beloved character. Participants are posting using the hastag #エアリス生誕祭2021 and below you can check out some highlights:

There's tons of amazing content available in the hashtag, which will definitely continue tomorrow as more fans from other countries join in on the Aerith birthday celebration (particularly in the United States). So be sure to keep an eye out on Twitter.

Just last year Asuka Yoshikawa, Aerith's mocap actress in Final Fantasy VII Remake, revealed some really interesting news on her official Twitter account. According to the translated version by Twitter user Audrey, Yoshikawa and Sephiroth's mocap actor recently completed a four hour long session together. It's interesting to note that she mentioned the staff praising them both, which hints at a possible difficult or emotional scene between them.

And Briana White, who most Final Fantasy VII Remake players will know is the English voice of Aerith, posted on her personal Twitter account a couple of shots from a photoshoot with photographer Martin Wong showing off her amazing cosplaying skills as the iconic Centra. Thanks to the help of Twitch streamer and cosplayer Lady Zero, White's beautiful dress and ribbon enabled her to slip into the role of Aerith perfectly. Briana also sought the help of professional makeup artist, Twitch streamer, and cosplayer Helloiamkate, completing the Aerith photoshoot.

Final Fantasy VII Remake finally released on April 10th after a one month delay. Check out our extremely comprehensive review of the title here. I wrote a pretty comprehensive beginner's guide for players just starting out (including some handy Materia and weapon builds for Tifa) but you can also check out this incredibly intricate and damaging combo to see why proper character builds matter in Remake.

Bernie Meme Makes it to Demon's Souls Thanks to an Amazing Fan

bernie meme, Bluepoint Games, Demon's Souls, Meme, PlayStation, PlayStation 5, PlayStation Studios, PS5, Remake, Review, Sony

Reddit user tentaclebreath started their post with a self deprecating "I'm so sorry everyone…" before unleashing something truly amazing. They managed to reimagine the incredibly popular and infamous Bernie meme as a boss in Demon's Souls:

This is probably one of the most impressive versions of this meme I've seen, and one of the most hilarious to boot. As soon as I think nothing better can come along, gems like these come along and blow my mind.

Players quickly started investigating every inch of Demon's Souls and discovered a door that was not in the original game. The only problem is that it's locked and no one can quite figure out how to get inside — or rather that was the case until last night. Twitch streamer Distortion2 finally cracked the code on the door during a stream last night. To get inside, Distortion2 traded 30 Ceramic Coins to Sparkly the Crow to get a Rusty Key. Waiting for him and all other players who are soon to follow behind was the Penetrator's Armor set.

The Penetrator's Armor set is exclusive to the Demon's Souls remake and is a great set of equipment. According to the fan wiki, (which is probably a familiar website for all those who have played the game), the armor "provides the player with protection and different resistance against all types of damage and negative status effects, such as Blunt Damage, Bleed, Plague, and more."

In a more hilarious turn of events Collin Harris, a former technical artist at Bluepoint Games, revealed that rubber ducks were used to test out various tech and effects. Of course this was done nowhere near the launch of the game so no hidden ducks in the environment unfortunately.

You can check out our review of Demon's Souls here. We gave it an excellent score and stated that it "continues Bluepoint Games' hot streak of excellent remakes and gives early PS5 adopters a next-gen experience that they can sink their teeth into."

Cyberpunk 2077 Player Crashes Game By Blowing Up Every Vehicle

Cyberpunk 2077 V in a car shooting out the window

Reddit user keyvisuals uploaded footage from his PS5 showing off a hilarious result of his experimenting with Cyberpunk 2077. As it turns out, if you set a chain reaction and blow up every vehicle in a given area it completely crashes the game. Check out the video below and see for yourself if the resulting explosion is worth the massive crash:

Blowing up every vehicle (crashes the game) from r/cyberpunkgame

Regardless of your opinion it's a glorious display of destruction and at least we can enjoy the results without risking our own game.

The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 has been riddled with controversy and bugs, with the first update being introduced last week that fixed some issues. As of Friday, all versions of the game received Patch 1.1 as promised by the roadmap and apology that was released a few weeks ago.

Alongside the bugs that plagued its launch, Liana Ruppert from GameInformer suffered a major seizure while playing the game. This was due to light patterns similar to those used by neurologists to help induce seizures in patients. It was also later noted that the game didn't have a clear epilepsy warning at the start of gameplay, something which has now been remedied. This same RPG has seen its share of other controversies even before launching with reports of transphobia, and crunch culture, as well as the studio also refusing to share information about the game's accessibility.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. As for PS4, retail copies are still around but Sony has removed the game from the PSN Store. Meanwhile, the official Microsoft store features a statement warning players of performance issues until the Xbox One version is updated. The game is also playable on the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 thanks to backward compatibility. You can read our review of the game here: "Cyberpunk 2077 is a deeply conflicting game, one that you'll end up loving but will also hate and feel profoundly disappointed by."

This Official Bloodborne Watch is a True Class Act in Aesthetics

Bloodborne, From Software, merch, merchandise, PlayStation, PlayStation 5, PS4, PS5, Sony, Studio Japan, SuperGroupies, watch

SuperGroupies is well known for their exceptional quality in videogame themed merchandise and this absolutely stunning Bloodborne watch is no exception. This official Bloodborne watch costs 30,000 Japanese Yen (around $285), has a genuine leather strap and has the game's name tastefully featured on the back:

Bloodborne, From Software, merch, merchandise, PlayStation, PlayStation 5, PS4, PS5, Sony, Studio Japan, SuperGroupies, watch Bloodborne, From Software, merch, merchandise, PlayStation, PlayStation 5, PS4, PS5, Sony, Studio Japan, SuperGroupies, watch Bloodborne, From Software, merch, merchandise, PlayStation, PlayStation 5, PS4, PS5, Sony, Studio Japan, SuperGroupies, watch Bloodborne, From Software, merch, merchandise, PlayStation, PlayStation 5, PS4, PS5, Sony, Studio Japan, SuperGroupies, watch

Some of the fine details on the watch include Caryl Runes inside the circles in the watch under the 2, 3, 4, 11, 10, and 8 as well as a rune symbol under 6. The watch also resembles the Astral Clocktower (prominent during the Lady Maria's fight) and features a day and night cycle. The best part is that for fans these details are unmistakable but it doubles as excellent stealth merchandise that can be worn for any occasion.

London-based Etsy creator Jinn Media is making those dreams come true — recreating PS4 and PS5 box arts for games like BloodborneThe Last of Us: Part II, and Demon's Souls. One of their latest additions to their shop includes a recently-revealed Bloodborne crystal case demake.

Earlier last year we had Cursed Book of Madness: The Unofficial Bloodborne Fanzine, a collection of fan art and pieces inspired by Bloodborne which released in October 2020 from the team behind The First Flame, a Dark Souls-themed fanzine. Cursed Blood of Madness was available as a 48-page digital-only collection (PDF) and featured 36 different artists with works based on the game.

Another fan by the handle of Mitori (Twitter) shared their fan-made recreation of the Threaded Cane weapon, which is not only extremely accurate to the game, but is also completely functional and can extend its blades. You can check out a video of the Threaded Cane in action along with some photos here.

Teruyuki Toriyama, who has worked on Bloodborne, Demon's Souls Remake, and other titles, announced last year that he would be leaving SIE Japan Studio at the end of the year. Toriyama hasn't specified the reason behind this decision, but this is not an end for his game developing career as he revealed that he is going to continue this job at his new company.

Among Us Joins the Super Smash Bros. Battle in a Fanmade Mod

Among Us, android, Innersloth, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, super smash bros, super smash bros. ultimate, Xbox One, xbox series x

Japanese Twitter user ImposterSSB created quite the extensive game mod — by inserting the Among Us Imposter into Super Smash Bros. If you were wondering just how much effort has been put into this mod, the 14 minute video not only has an invitation opening segment but also a mock trailer showing off their moveset with some humorous flare. Just like in official fighter reveals:

After that there's a detailed video guide on how to use Imposter, including a breakdown of their entire moveset. My personal favorite is their Neutral Special, which is the infamous gun attack the Imposters can use in Among Us to kill their crewmates.

The amount of effort and talent it takes to not only implement such an extensive mod but a 2D one at that, especially one that interacts so cleanly with the actual combatants. Hopefully this inspires Nintendo to possibly introduce one of these little guys as an official fighter in the future. Meanwhile you can download and install the mod itself by going here (keep in mind this mod is made for Brawl, not Ultimate).

Innersloth, Among Us's developer, has released a recent devlog detailing future plans on the studio roadmap, as well as revealing more information on the content that players can expect to see throughout this year. The post touches on some of the bigger updates as well as some smaller tidbits of information.

The studio also confirmed the new "Airship" map is still on track to be released in early 2021 and is set to feature new tasks to complete, rooms to explore, and costumes for the adorable little crewmates. You can also expect to have the ability to choose what room you start in and will be able to climb ladders. When this update becomes available, it will be free to all players.

Among Us has been doing quite well, as it was at the top of the Switch download charts during its month of release. The incredibly popular title topped the download charts within 24 hours, just days before it was reported to have had half a billion players in November alone.

Final Fantasy XIV PS5 Open Beta Release Date Revealed

Final Fantasy XIV PS5 Open Beta Release Date

Square Enix held on February 6 an announcement showcase for Final Fantasy XIV, revealing the brand new Endwalker expansion, but also a PS5 version, and the release date of its Open Beta. A trailer for the release of Final Fantasy XIV on PS5 was shared as well. you can find it further below.

Players whose FF XIV service account has a registered license for the PS4 version may download and play the PS5 update edition at no extra cost. The monthly subscription is still required.

While the event only included producer Naoki Yoshida and his translator, the PS5 version of Final Fantasy XIV was announced on the event through a surprise appearance of Yosuke Matsuda. The CEO of Square Enix. The whole reveal was packaged in a comedic skit with Yosuke Matsuda revealing the PS5 version and Naoki Yoshida acting as if he forgot to bring it up. It was pretty cringey overall if you understood Japanese. Though simultaneously if you studied the language and reach that point then you must definitely be used to that as well. Seeing Japanese TV or live events like these are always meticulously scripted.

Anyways, Yosuke Matsuda and Yoshida Naoki announced Final Fantasy XIV will be launching on PS5 with an Open Beta on April 13, 2021.

This is also when the next patch for Final Fantasy XIV will be released.

Square Enix also revealed the Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker extension has a very surprising feature in the work. The development team is currently working on an Data Server Travel feature. This will allow players to temporarily move to another Data Center.

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Data Center Travel Lets You Play On Other Data Servers

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Data Center Travel

Final Fantasy XIV with its new Endwalker Expansion, will add a brand new feature highly demanded by players worldwide, the Data Center Travel feature. This is similar but different from the currently implemented World Travel System, which lets you move your character from one World to another without logging out of FF XIV.

The Data Center Travel will allow you to go play on other Data Center than the ones you usually play and first made your characters on.

Basically this means anyone anywhere in the world will be able to play with each other. Friends who are separated by the oceans will finally be able to play Final Fantasy XIV together even if they didn't start out on the same Data Server. This is huge and great news for all players and FF XIV fans around the world.

Here's how it work, before logging into Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, in the character select screen, you'll be able to use the Data Center Travel, and choose which Data Center to login into.

YoshiP mentioned they wanted to make it so you don't need to logout, like with the World Travel System, but that's too complicated with how the servers are built.

However, there are certain functions that will be disabled when using the Data Center Travel in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. Overall, there will be more restrictions than when using the World Travel System. But you'll be able to visit your friends in other Data Centers, play with them, do content with them, take screenshots, etc.

YoshiP also mentioned there will be simulations to check how it will affect each Data Centers' economy, but it should be negligible. So players shouldn't worry.

Be sure to check out our full summary of the Final Fanasy XIV Endwalker Announcement Showcase, with details on new Jobs, new Story contents, and more.

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Revealed by Square Enix With New Details

final fantasy xiv endwalker expansion reveal

Square Enix revealed the new expansion for Final Fantasy XIV, titled Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, 6.0 and will be launching in Fall 2021. We detailed below all the information from tthe Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker announcement showcase.

First let's check out the reveal trailer for Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker, with the Japanese and English versions below.

The announcement happened at a venue in Japan with no audience because of the Cvodi-19 pandemic. Producer Naoki Yoshida and his translator shared all the details on stage alone. While I could easily understand YoshiP's words, kudos as always to translators for being able to handle the pressure and translate live like that at events.

Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker will include two new Jobs. Naoki Yoshida mentioned that they received a lot of feedback about how FF XIV is lacking healers. So they first revealed the Jobs' roles. The first Job is a healer role, the second one is a melee DPS role. Only the first job was fully revealed for now.

The first new Job is the Sage, "Kenja" in Japanese. A Job who uses magic imbued weapons who definitely looks like Funnels from Gundam. The weapons they use are called Nouliths and were made specifically for FF XIV and its their first appearance in the franchise. In the main story, Alphinaud will Job Change to Sage.

The visuals of Nouliths change depending on what weapon you use. Lastly, the starting level of the Job is 70. So you need at least another Job at Level 70, and have purchased the Endwalker Expansion, to use the Sage job.

Next, YoshiP also described the Sage as a "Barrier Healer". They can heal but also prottecc the party, and can also temporarily buff their own magic abilities.

YoshiP *reads the stream's comments*: 'I"m seeing a lot "This is Gundam, These are funnels."in there. No comment".

Next, Naoki Yoshida said the words Final End Finale will be important to the plot, and the Endwalker Expansion will be the ending of the ten years old saga that started with A Realm Reborn. The end of 6.0 is the end of the Hydaelyn Zodiark Saga.

However, Naoki Yoshida stressed out this doesn't mean Final Fantasy XIV itself is ending. He's not quitting the FF XIV project either.

Next, the story intro for Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker was published. Don't scroll down any further if you haven't finished the Shadowbringer story yet.

YoshiP: "Maybe there's an Evangelion on the moon."

Next we have screenshots from the reveal trailer. Alphinaud is a Sage but has a customized costume. Alisaie is still Red Mage but might get a new costume. We have Fandaniel too:

YoshiP: "Fandaniel is not the last boss but he's important. Can't say anymore to avoid spoilers".

Then we've got Zenos, who considers the Warrior of Light his friend.

YoshiP: " I know you guys don't think of him as your friend tho".

YoshiP also mentioned many characters from previous story chapters will reappear. The story overall will be very complex, with lot of surprises.

Following that, YoshiP revealed the new features coming with Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker

The level cap is going up to Level 90. We'll also have new areas.  They can't show us actual gameplay yet, but we have artwork and screenshots.

We were first introduced to a new city, Radz-At-Han. The city is in Thavnair, a new field.

Net, we have another new field, Garlemald.

Next, YoshiP revealed new tribes appearing in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. The first one are the Matanga, the Arkasodara tribe.

YoshiP: "Some players might have recognized them".

The extension will also include new threats and new dungeons:

YoshiP: "Final Fantasy X fans might recognize it, it's Anima. The same staff member who did Anima's artwork in in Final Fantasy X works on FF XIV and remade its design for the game".

Three artwork of the new dungeons were shown, as included above.

Next, we've seen the first details of the High-End Raid in FF XIV Endwalker

YoshiP: "This person looks similar. We've seen that mark somewhere before. We can't tell yet where the Raid will be. But it's a completely new original story and Raid." The new raid is Pandemonium.

A new Alliance Raid was announced too. The staff is working on it, and details will be revealed on the next digital fan festival. It'll be a FF XIV original story Raid, centered on a certain unanswered piece of lore. It won't be a crossover like the ongoing NieR Automata raid.

Next, YoshiP revealed a new Small-Scale PVP Mode coming with Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker

This new PVP mode will be more casual and immersive by removing role restrictions. It'll also have a new type of rewards that aren't gear.

Estinien Wyrmblood will be available as a Trust NPC

YoshiP: "I know a lot of Dragoon betray people but don't worry he won't betray you."

New Element in Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Revealed: Island Sanctuary

Next, we heard about two new adjustments to the battle system.

First, the numbers used for battle calculations will be downscaled. This is something YoshiP brought up in the past. They're changing the numbers themselves, not the formulas.

This is not a nerf of the players' characters. Everything is staying the same, but the numbers are going down. One thing affected however is how you'll have more trouble clearing older content with an undersized party.

The other change is the removal of Belts. They also considered removing Rings, but a lot of players use it for fashion, so they're staying.

Lastly, the Lunar Whale from Final Fantasy IV is coming as a mount alongside Rydia, Edge and Rosa as Minions. The Final Fantasy XIV Festival 2021 is happening on May 15 and 16.

Final Fantasy XIV was also announced on PS5.

A new function will let players travel between Servers.
