For Honor

For Honor 2.26.0 Patch Notes

Here's the full list of patch notes for the March 11 update from the game's website:

Known Issue: Warden's Top Heavy to Side Heavy Unblockable is currently undodgeable. We are working on a fix and will release it as soon as possible.

BATTLE PASS FEST

  • Battle Fest is a weekend when players will grind double BP points compare as normal day (same as XP fest but for BP points)

FACTION WAR

  • Starting in Y5S1, changes are coming to the rewards warriors will receive at the conclusion of seasonal faction wars.
  • We made the faction-colored territories on the World Map more transparent to make the seasonal and event realisation elements more visible.

IMPROVEMENTS

FIGHTERS

General

  • Whenever a Hero is in the startup of a Guard Break, if that Hero is struck by a Guard Break it will now automatically perform a Guard Break Counter.

    Developer's comment:
This is to prevent situations where two players would attempt to Guard Break each other at a very specific timing and the first player to get Guard Broken would need to re-press the Guard Break button to tech it.

Warden

The changes from the Y4|S4 Testing Grounds are now live, with bug fixes and other improvements.

  • Shoulder Bash
  • Shoulder Bash is no longer accessible from Back Dodge
  • Shoulder Bash now slightly moves forward when feinted
  • Fully Charged Shoulder Bash no longer has additional forward movement when feinted
  • Any Non-Shoulder Bash Attack can now chain to Shoulder Bash.

Developer's comment: These changes should help Shoulder Bash both feel fairer and flow better. Warden now has to be on the offensive to use Shoulder Bash and rewards using every part of the kit instead of relying on only part of the kit.

  • Heavy Attacks
  • Side Heavy Openers now have flatter and larger trajectories
  • Top Heavy Finisher is now a 900ms attack (down from 1000ms)
  • Side Heavy Finishers are now 900ms attacks (up from 800ms)
  • Side Heavy Finishers are now Unblockable
  • Side Heavy Finishers now deal 30 damage (down from 35 during the Testing Grounds)
  • Top Heavy Finisher now deals 32 damage (down from 34 in the Testing Grounds)
  • Side Heavy Finisher trajectories are now flatter
  • Warden now moves forward more when performing Side Heavy Finishers
  • Light Attacks now chain to Heavy Finishers at 100ms during their recoveries (down from 200ms)

Developer's comment: Warden should now be able to use Heavy attacks more effectively; the increased speed on the Top Heavy Finisher makes it harder to interrupt and Side Heavy Attacks (both Openers and Finishers) are stronger both in group fights as well as the minion lane.

  • Zone Attack
  • Zone Attack recovery is now 500ms (down from 1000ms)
  • Warden now moves forward more when performing Zone Attack

Developer's comment: Warden's Zone Attack no longer needs to commit to an additional attack to be useful; the extra forward movement also helps in group fights to catch opponents that might be further away.

  • Additional fixes based on Y4|S4's Testing Grounds player feedback:
  • Fixed an issue where Side Heavy Finishers were undodgeable after a Top Heavy Opener (FH-1089)
  • Fixed an issue where Side Heavy Finishers were undodgeable after a Top Heavy Opener (FH-1022)

FEATS

  • [Adjustment] Replaced "Thick Blood" on Warden and Nuxia with "Thrilling Comeback"
  • Thrilling Comeback is a passive Feat that recovers a small amount of health upon entering Revenge

Developer's comment: Player feedback from the Y4|S4 Testing Grounds correctly noted that Thick Blood Warden negatively affected the viability of Testing Grounds Peacekeeper and Nobushi – as it nullifies their bleed entirely. Here, by changing the effect of Thick Blood entirely, we remove the unhealthy aspect of being able to shut down bleed heroes' kits for free, as well as the bad feeling of taking Thick Blood but not queuing into any bleed heroes. In this new Thrilling Comeback, it retains the passive feature of making you live a bit longer, and now is globally useful with a much more healthy design.

MAP

Forge

  • [Adjustment] Created new stair access points to Capture Zone A
  • [Adjustment] Created an access point from Mid-lane into the central workshop building
  • [Adjustment] Reworked Ashfeld lighting environment and is now daylight

BREACH

  • [Adjustment] Added a warning to the defending team when their Commander takes damage

USER INTERFACE

  • [Adjustment] We tweaked the size and opacity of revive/executed icons to make them less intrusive

BUG FIXES

GENERAL

  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that allowed the Special follow-ups after Superior Blocking/Deflecting attacks to trigger on ally or minion hits
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Centurion or Jormungandr to perform "Eagle's Talons" or "Hamarr Slam" on an opponent that will not be Unbalanced (FH-1136)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the dodge shadows VFX to remain stuck on players

FIGHTERS

Lawbringer

  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused Lawbringer's "Impaling Charge" to sometimes have offset animations when performing on an uneven surface

Orochi

  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused Orochi's top heavy opener to deal 20 damage instead of 24 (FH-1272)

Aramusha

  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused Aramusha's "Ring the Bell" to be interrupted on opponent death (FH-878)

Gryphon

  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused Gryphon to sometimes have offset animations when performing "Dauntless Chase" on an uneven surface (FH-1087)

CUSTOMIZATION

  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the "I Bring War" to have various offset issues on the Gryphon (FH-1194)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused Warden's "Folville" chest to apply Paint Patterns incorrectly (FH-1135)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Shugoki's helms to have issues with stretching and wrongly applied physics (FH-1153)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Tiandi's "Yi Ru Fan Zhang" Execution respawn timer starts 3 seconds earlier than expected (FH-1115)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Shugoki's "Ikko-Ikki" chest symbols and embossings to be displayed on his back (FH-1139)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Shaolin's "Chilly Snowflake" weapons have the wrong part names (FH-1127)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Gryphon's "Protector" Chest shoulders to not apply materials (FH-1103)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Warlord's "Hrym" arms right shoulder to have a stretching issue on one of the spikes (FH-1092)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Raider's "Steinunn" arms for Male Rider to have a stretched spike on the right shoulder plate (FH-1101)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the female Berserker's "Asmundar" helm yo be missing teeth compared to other similarly looking helmets (FH-1067)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused some of the Shinobi's helm sets to have fabric poking through the cloth in two spots near the top rivets in the back of the head. (FH-860)
  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused the Shugoki's weapon to stutters while respawning when the free roam emote 'Tantrum' is interrupted

PC

  • [Bug Fix] Fixed an issue that caused 100% CPU usage on PC upon For Honor boot (FH-1287)

Warzone: Have The Zombies Spread To Prison?

warzone prison

Although March 11 didn't bring the heavily speculated Nuke Event, it did bring the beginning of the end as Zombies have begun spreading over the Warzone map, they've officially reached Prison.

For those that don't know, when Season 2 of Warzone and Cold War rolled around on February 25, Zombies began invading Verdansk after a Cargo Shipped crashed into the side of the map. Now, it looks as though those Zombies have escaped Shipwreck and begun infesting the rest of the map.

We've got all the latest on the plague that has begun spreading over Verdansk.

Warzone Containment Protocol Message

As the latest Playlist Update went live for Warzone and Cold War, the Call of Duty Blog was updated with a new message regarding the Zombie outbreak.

The blog post states that The Emergency Broadcast System has issued a minor contagion warning for the southeastern zone of Verdansk encompassing the miasma epicenter ("ghost ship" Vodianoy) as well as territories immediately east, including the Zordaya Prison Complex and surrounding areas.

In short, Zombies are at Prison, get into Verdansk and take them out.

You can read the full blog post here.

Zombies Have Reached Prison

If you jump into Verdansk right now, you'll find the Zombies have officially spread from the new Shipwreck point of interest to Prison. There is also a red strike through the Prison marker when you drop in to the Warzone. You can check that out in the Tweet below, thanks to @Gaaba_.

It's also being reported that the Zombie spawner in the Shipwreck boat has been removed.

What's Next For Verdansk?

Well, although all of the leaks and rumours regarding a Nuke Event haven't come to fruition yet, it's likely that the Zombies will continue to spread across the whole of Verdansk until there's just no saving it.

If we had to speculate, expect more points of interests to be taken over by the undead during Season 2, and the Nuke Event occurs at the beginning of Season 3.

Keep your eyes on DualShockers as we bring you the latest Warzone news.

Bethesda Xbox Livestream – Where to Watch the Roundtable Discussion

Bethesda - Microsoft's Bethesda purchase to be ruled by EU Regulators

This week the Microsoft – ZeniMax acquisition took a few more steps to be permanently finalized.

To help clear the air on what we can expect from ZeniMax companies such as Bethesda Softworks and Machine Games, Xbox and Bethesda are doing a roundtable livestream that can be viewed by anyone.

Here's your guide on where to watch the Bethesda stream as well as some things you can expect.

Microsoft Purchase

Where To Watch the Bethesda Stream

The roundtable discussion starts at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. You can view it on YouTube right here:

What To Expect

When it comes to events like these, it's always important to make sure our expectations are tempered. Xbox has gotten out in front of the rumors of game reveals and hype to clarify what the roundtable discussion will entail. In a tweet from Aaron Greenberg, general manager of Xbox games marketing, he said that the event is "NOT FOCUSED ON NEWS/REVEALS, but a great chance to learn more about the teams & people at Bethesda."

It's safe to say that we won't be getting any sort of news on highly anticipated games like Starfield, the Elder Scrolls VI, or the upcoming Indiana Jones game by Machine Games.

Something we can expect to hear about are the new ZeniMax games that will be headed to Game Pass. Hopefully, we'll be getting a lot of games put on the service. If you're curious about what we here at DualShockers have on our wishlist, make sure to check out this article that details six Bethesda games we want to be included in the best deal in gaming.

More Bethesda

Since the start of the year, there have been a handful of updates to the upcoming fan mod Skyblivion. The ambitious project is working on creating the entire world of Tamriel in the Skyrim engine so that fans of Oblivion old and new can experience The Elder Scrolls IV. Check out our coverage of the mod right here.

Borderlands 3 Hotfix – All You Need to Know About the March 11 Patch Notes

Gearbox released the patch notes for the March 11 Borderlands 3 hotfix today. Here's what's new.

Borderlands 3 was one of the best games to play in 2020. Because of the global shutdown, there was no better time to play a silly online multiplayer loot-n-shoot with your friends. Today Gearbox released the latest patch notes for the Borderlands 3 March 11 hotfix. Here's everything you need to know about what's new.

MadMoxxi

Tniwe Cosplay – MadMoxxi – image from Facebook

March 11 Hotfix

The Borderlands 3 March 11 hotfix patch notes are as follows:

  • Loot variant enemies will now have a chance to drop the Legendary Rocket Launcher R.Y.N.A.H
  • Added the Firestorm Grenade Mod to Aurelia's boss pool

The Siren's Remnant skill was doing more damage than we ever intended for it. The skill is only supposed to affect gun and skill damage, but we (and the community—looking at you "Game Breaker Amara" build) found it was also adding unlisted bonuses to melee, slide, and slam damage. We have addressed this exploit and made changes to some of the gear that benefitted from this bug.

  • Removed unlisted melee, slide, and slam damage from the Siren's Remnant skill
  • Adjusted the melee damage done by the Fish Slap grenade mod
  • Lowered the sticky grenade bonus damage for the White Elephant artifact

WEAPON ADJUSTMENTS

We increased the damage of various pieces of gear to bring them more in line. These weapons are all receiving increased damage:

  • Webslinger
  • Devoted
  • Roisen's Thorns
  • Magnificent
  • Mother Too
  • Smart Gun XXL
  • Ten Gallon

Borderlands 3 Directors Cut Update

Included in the hotfix patch notes was an update on the Borderlands 3 Directors Cut. It's been delayed due to weather issues from last month in Texas. Here's the full statement:

Due to challenges arising from the severe weather that impacted Texas last month, the Director's Cut add-on will now launch on April 8. Thankfully, all of our team members and their families are safe and healthy, but our work on Director's Cut was unavoidably disrupted and we've ultimately decided to shift the release date to ensure we deliver the best possible experience. We appreciate your understanding, and we're excited for you to play Director's Cut when it releases next month.

Who Was Gordon Hall Creator of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars?

Gordan Hall, Rockstar Leeds founder, has passed away at the young age of 51.

The company was founded as Möbius Entertainment in the '90s by Hall, Jason McGann, Dave Box and Ian J. Bowden who then went onto develop games for the Game Boy Advance that included the handheld version of Max Payne and A Sound of Thunder. Rockstar Games acquired the studio and rebranded it as Rockstar Leeds.

Who was Gordon Hall?

Hall worked on games that included Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars and since then, Rockstar Leeds went on to offer their help at other sections of Rockstar while working on titles such as Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto V, and Red Dead Redemption 2. According to Games Industry, Hall moved to Rockstar San Diego in 2009 but decided to take some time out between 2011 and 2013 to research the psychology behind microtransactions. He then came back as a chief creative officer at Activision Blizzard Mobile to spearhead mobile games development.

Martyn Brown, business development at Five Aces Publishing and co-founder of Team17, stated in a quote for Games Industry that "Gordon was simply brilliant to be around, incredibly motivating and ever positive. His pursuit of excellence was staggering and he formed a great, trusting bond with those who chose to work (hard) alongside him." Brown continues "As a close friend, he was truly inspirational and socially speaking a real energetic one-off who could endlessly entertain at the drop of a hat, holding everyone in the palm of his hand. Gordon will be very sadly missed."

Hall's hard work and commitment within the game's industry will forever be acknowledged and appreciated. We would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to Hall's friends and family at this time. Hall is survived by his son James.
