Ghost of Tsushima Legends new map out now, another coming next week
Ghost of Tsushima Legends has got a new map for players to survive in, with the Survival map Twilight & Ashes out now. In addition, Sucker Punch has confirmed that a map based on the Iki island expansion will be available on October 1st, and that map is called Blood & Steel. Remember all of this content is free, regardless of which version of Ghost of Tsushima you may have. You can see a screenshot of Twilight & Ashes below. Venture into Iyo's Realm with our new Survival map, Twilight and Ashes, out now in #GhostOfTsushima: Legends! Next week on October 1, we'll launch an additional new Survival map, Blood and Steel, based on Iki Island! pic.twitter.com/9aO959DkqG — Ghost of Tsushima 🎮 Director's Cut Out Now! (@SuckerPunchProd) September 24, 2021 Recently, Ghost of Tsushima Legends received a new mode called Rivals, adding a competitive edge to the co-operative expansion. Instead of placing you all in the same arena, Ghost of Tsushima Rivals has both teams enter their own identical gauntlet. It's here that you'll hunt packs of demonised Mongol soldiers, each one dropping a resource called Magamata. This ethereal currency has two purposes. You can spend it at shrines, dropping temporary distractions and curses into your rivals' gauntlet. For example, you can lengthen the time it takes them to revive one another, shorten their max health, or even bombard them with fire arrows from the menacing hwacha. In March, a Ghost of Tsushima movie was confirmed with John Wick director Chad Stahelski taking the helm. By November last the year the game had sold over five million copies and hold the record for Sony's fastest selling debut IP.  In our review for Ghost of Tsushima, I wrote: Ghost of Tsushima is an artistic triumph, capturing a real cinematic feel through its visuals, immersive world and soundtrack. However, Jin is a serviceable main character and he and his journey to save Tsushima is often overshadowed by secondary characters and smaller, more personal stories found in the side quests. Throw in some formulaic missions and an awkward user interface, and Ghost of Tsushima is at times more style than substance. You can read the full review here. Source: Twitter

Alan Wake Remastered comparison trailer shows Xbox Series X version against Xbox 360
Alan Wake Remastered has got a new trailer and this one shows the comparison between the original Xbox 360 version, and the way the game will look on the Xbox Series X. As you will be able to see from the trailer Alan Wake Remastered has a lot more detail. The environments have much more detail with better textures, and the colours do not look as washed out as before. The objectives also take up less screen space, and the character models have more detail especially the facial expressions. You can check out the comparison below. Having been rumoured for the longest time, the Control developer announced the remaster earlier this month. Launching on October 5th, 2021, it's being published by Epic Games and will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The original Alan Wake, which launched in 2010, was an Xbox 360 exclusive. It was followed up with two DLCs, The Signal and The Writer, as well as 2011's bizarre spin-off, Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Alan Wake Remastered will bundle the base game with those two aforementioned expansions. The entire package has been 4K-enhanced, giving the fan favourite third person thriller a new lick of paint while preserving its eerie atmosphere. Alan Wake's torch-wielding gameplay wasn't universally loved though its dark story drew in mystery fans who have been pining for a sequel for more than a decade. When it was confirmed that the game shares the same twisted universe as 2019's Control, rumours of a sequel began to bubble. Alan Wake Remastered is available to pre-order on the following platforms: PlayStation 5 PlayStation 4 Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One PC (Epic Games Store) Source: YouTube

Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection releasing February 2022
Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection has been given a new release date by Square Enix, with the publisher confirming that the game will be available on February 1st 2022. Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection was delayed last month, with the main reason being to remove pressure on the development team as they geared up for the release of Life Is Strange: True Colors. That was released earlier this month. The Remastered Collection was announced back in March alongside the latest game in the series, True Colors. Remastered Collection will bring together both the original Life Is Strange from Dontnod and the prequel series Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, which was developed by Deck Nine. Both games are being given a thorough overhaul with new visuals across characters and environments, while the character animation will use full facial motion capture, and the gameplay has been updated with refined puzzles. Life Is Strange: Remastered Collection will be available on PC, Stadia, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. In our review for Life Is Strange: True Colors, Reuben wrote: Life Is Strange: True Colors is an incredible new addition to the series. It brings perhaps the most likeable protagonist yet, the absolutely gorgeous Haven Springs, and an excellent supporting cast together for an intensely emotional but hopeful tale. With enough gorgeous sweeping cinematic shots to put an indie film to shame, and some absolutely incredible writing, Alex's journey is something you must experience. You can read the full review for Life Is Strange: True Colors by clicking here. The game is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Stadia, and Switch. Source: Press Release
