| Kotaku Thu Oct 14 20:55:00 UTC 2021 | | Picture this. You're playing GTA Online in a public lobby, doing your personal crimes and heists while other players go about their business. Suddenly, the screen goes black, and when it comes back up you're in front of a home or garage entrance along with every other player in the lobby. Everybody is surprised,… Read more... |

| PCGamesN Thu Oct 14 21:54:57 UTC 2021 | | Call of Duty: Vanguard will be the start of a new arc in the zombies and Dark Aether storylines that have been unfolding parallel to the FPS game's main narrative over the past decade. For this entry, Activision has put developer Treyarch in charge of zombies mode, and the studio says it plans on telling a new, brutal story set against the horrors of the Second World War's Eastern Front. The setup for the story, called Der Anfang, involves the experiments at Project N Station, which wound up blasting a rift from our dimension into the Dark Aether - a plane of existence so horrible that it's indistinguishable from scriptural descriptions of Hell. Nazi scientists recovered powerful artifacts from beyond the veil, and each of them is associated with a powerful demonic force: the four-armed fellow we've seen in the teaser, for instance, is known as Kortifex, the Deathless. Kortifex is joined by Saraxis the Shadow, Norticus the Conqueror, Inviktor the Destroyer, and Bellekar the Warlock. All of them look like the types of people the Ghostbusters might have run into at the top of a haunted skyscraper in New York. However, players can use their associated artifacts to wield unique abilities that are effectively magic spells. |
| PCGamesN Thu Oct 14 20:49:26 UTC 2021 | | Minecraft Live 2021 is set for this coming weekend, and Mojang has unveiled the final mob that will be on the ballot during the show. The glare and allay mobs were revealed earlier this week, and now the devs have shown off the third possibility for inclusion in the sandbox game: the copper golem. The copper golem is a short little metallic humanoid that almost looks like a remote-control robot. As you might expect, it's made completely out of copper, and you'd be able to build one yourself. Once constructed and brought to life, copper golems are a bit unpredictable - but one thing's for sure, they love pressing copper buttons. What copper buttons, you ask? Well, if the copper golem wins the vote this weekend and ends up being added to Minecraft, copper buttons would be added as well. Copper golems would excitedly press them at random whenever they're around, which could lead to all kinds of interesting new contraption designs. You could, for instance, use copper golems to power a random number generator, for example. RELATED LINKS: Minecraft console commands, Minecraft skins, Minecraft mods |

| Rock Paper Shotgun Latest Articles Feed Thu Oct 14 21:28:06 UTC 2021 | | Sometimes a functional game strikes me as bland or forgettable. Dungeon Encounters appeals to me, oddly. I look at this game about exploring 99 levels of a dungeon, fighting enemies using an iteration of Final Fantasy's Active Time Battle System, designed by the man who created it, and I think: yes, you should be called Dungeon Encounters. It's out now, and there's a new launch trailer below. Read more |

| PC Invasion - FeedDDD Thu Oct 14 21:30:01 UTC 2021 | | Grinding Gear Games lifted the veil on its latest expansion for Path of Exile earlier today in a livestream. Path of Exile: Scourge once more shakes things up, bringing new gems, a new challenge, and a passive skill tree rework. Don't hold your breath too long for the latter, however. The rework isn't massive, but GGG did change some things up a bit. For the most part, PoE remains the same grindy ARPG with more loot than pixels. But this time, there be demons. I recall a time when some ARPGs were referred to as "Diablo clones." The [insert game here] clone moniker is rather tiresome these days. But here we have a Path of Exile expansion containing demons, and it wasn't that long ago when Diablo II: Resurrected launched. Coincidence?? Yeah, I think it is. Regardless, Path of Exile: Scourge brings demonic forces and a new challenge into the fold. So, let's talk about that. The expansion's primary hook is a new item, the Blood Crucible. ... |
| PC Invasion - FeedDDD Thu Oct 14 21:00:49 UTC 2021 | | In an absolutely bizarre turn of events, miHoYo has shown their hands as Elon Musk fans through a now-deleted Twitter community challenge. The Genshin Impact NPC, Ella Musk, received a new Twitter account the other day (a subtle @Paimon2TheMoon), and the Elon Musk simping was seemingly a ploy to get more followers on her account. I get the joke that they share last names, but it is weird to see an official account calling Elon Musk daddy. Well, maybe more than just a little weird. But the truth is, miHoYo knows what its players want more than anyone else. The Twitter challenge involved reaching certain milestones of new Twitter followers for the Ella Musk account. At 500,000 followers, the Genshin Impact account would be re-named to Paimon. Okay, pretty normal so far. Although, a strange reward for the players who likely don't care about the Twitter name of an official account. The real prizes, though, involved following Elon Musk, inviting Elon Musk to stream Genshin Impact, ... |
| PC Invasion - FeedDDD Thu Oct 14 20:30:34 UTC 2021 | | The Zombies mode has become an important part of Call of Duty since its inception in World War. Call of Duty: Vanguard is once again bringing the iconic Zombies mode back with a pair of new trailers, showcasing some of the mode's new lore and gameplay. Call of Duty: Vanguard getting a Zombies mode was somewhat of a surprise. The Zombies mode in general is headed by developer Treyarch, who handles a different set of Call of Duty games. So Vanguard wasn't guaranteed to get the mode, as the development team for this game is the Sledgehammer Games. But in a cool twist of fate, the two studios are collaborating to keep the Zombies dream alive, and it looks like this is something we can expect going forward. Undying collaboration The Zombies mode in Vanguard will once again take place in the Dark Aether storyline, one that already has tons of lore to build off of. The story is potentially returning to its roots with the new map Der Anfang, which is German for the beginn... |
| PC Invasion - FeedDDD Thu Oct 14 20:00:36 UTC 2021 | | There never seems like there's a shortage of crossover events for Rocket League. Even with the current 007 themed items in the shop, there's more coming to the garage than Bond's Aston Martin. Now, Rocket League is getting spooky with the most recent announcement of the Haunted Hallows and Batman crossover event. It brings with it goodies from DC's Batman universe, including the return of the fan-favorite Rocket League addition of the Batmobile for purchase. Hopefully this time it won't lose a wheel and the Joker won't get away. Seriously, how cold do those Mr. Freeze wheels look? Freezing, probably. But, there are more items than just wheels. The Rocket League Batman crossover will have unlockable items that can be obtained through a modified Rumble Mode called Gotham City Rumble. This brings in modifiers like Harley Quinn's Hammer (replaces the boot) and Poison Ivy's vines in place of the grappling hook. The Joker also makes a... |
