Lost Ark early access release time confirmed

MMORPG-meets-ARPG Lost Ark has been generating plenty of hype leading up to its worldwide release, and while it's not officially out until February 11, it's a modern game - of course you can pay for a few days of early access. Founders pack owners will be able to get in three days ahead of everyone else, so here's what you need to know for the Lost Ark early access release time.

Early access - or head start, as the developers call it - begins on Tuesday, February 8 at 9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm GMT. To get in at that time, you'll need to pick up a Founder's Pack, starting at $14.99 / £13.20 / €14.99. If you pick up your Founder's Pack after early access begins, you'll still be able to play ahead of the wide release.

Pre-loads will be available starting on Monday, February 7 at 9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm GMT, whether you're paying to get in for the head start period or waiting for the wider free-to-play release later in the week.

Shovel Knight roguelike gets four major updates

Shovel Knight's post-launch support is the stuff of gaming legend, and even as developer Yacht Club Games has announced its next project, that doesn't mean the old dirt-minded hero is getting tossed to the side. The roguelike puzzle spinoff Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon launched late last year, and it's got at least four major updates coming soon.

First up is a free update with a range of "accessibility options, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements", as the devs explain in the announcement. This one will let you control how fast the board fills when you fall in battle, and will offer new stuff like additional portraits, tips after the match ends, and a CPU level display on the tally screen.

After that, there are three DLC packs on the way. An online versus mode will let you battle both friends and randos, a selection of new playable characters, enemies, and items will be coming, and mod support will hit the PC version.

     The new GTA will be

Rockstar officially announced the next Grand Theft Auto today, though the studio stopped short of even officially naming it Grand Theft Auto 6. We know nothing concrete about it. You know who does know something about it? Jim Jagger, vice president of animation at Rockstar. He says it's going to be "special". And he'd know, right?

"This is going to be special," Jagger says in a retweet of the announcement of the new GTA. I'm sure you're all making shocked Pikachu faces at the prospect of a developer being excited about their own game, but look. You've all been Googling and reading news about fake GTA leaks for nearly a decade now. This one sentence might not be much, but it's real.

If you missed today's Grand Theft Auto news, Rockstar confirmed development on the next GTA game in the most unceremonious way possible. "With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we have previously delivered," the studio says, "and we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway."

Genshin Impact Version 2.5 LivestreamMore Genshin Impact is coming on February 16, with the reveal of version 2.5 through miHoYo's official live stream. Version 2.5 looks to be more of a smaller update for Genshin Impact. Most of the new versions during the Inazuma-era of the game have included a new area or expansion, yet version 2.5 seems to mostly revolve around events and a new character. Still, this should be a great version for fans of Yae Miko to dig into, as she'll finally be playable for those who are lucky enough to obtain her in Genshin Impact. Indeed, Yae Miko will be playable, available to summon on the update's first limited banner. Raiden Shogun and Kokomi are also getting re-runs, so if you haven't gotten the chance to get those two characters yet, now is your chance. The latter two characters will be available to summon on the second half of the update, so if you aren't interested in Yae Miko, now's the time to save your precious Primogems.   A brand new update ...
