YouTuber Ayato has a big project on his hands: making a DIY Kaneda bike from Akira. The Kaneda bike is one of the most iconic bikes in anime—no, make that popular culture writ large. There are numerous Kaneda bike projects on YouTube, but in my opinion, this one is the best.

In a series of clips, Ayato has been…

Galactic Civilizations IV's new Mimot race will conquer with cuteness

We're taking a break from the moody Drengin and scrappy Terrans to return to another one of the brand-new races coming to space-based 4X game Galactic Civilizations IV: the Mimot Brotherhood. They're cute, they're unassuming, and they will breed the galaxy out of existence if you're not careful. They've been available to play in the space strategy game for a while, so if you're interested you can pre-order today to get instant access to the beta and take them for a spin.

These furry spacefarers may lack the Arcean Republic's military prowess or the Xeloxi's affinity for stealing anything not nailed to the hull plating, but they more than make up for it with sheer numbers, courtesy of their Fertile ability. You will never lack for citizens with the Mimot Brotherhood, although the food to feed them may always be in short supply.

Thankfully, their other ability - Proliferation - states that whenever a ship is constructed, two are made at the same time. This means you'll have plenty of colony ships and constructors with which you can ship off those unwanted children to somewhere far, far away. Unfortunately, this ability also applies a -25% health reduction to all Mimot ships, which means you'll have to swarm your enemies if you want to compete militarily.

Beta Steam Deck update adds full Windows 11 support

Valve's portable powerhouse now fully supports Windows 11, thanks to a beta Steam Deck update. The in-progress patch enables fTPM for the handheld's AMD chipset, allowing players to use exclusive OS features. However, you'll still need to choose between Microsoft's platform and SteamOS, and the former still comes with optimisation caveats.

If you're brave enough to install Windows 11 on your Steam Deck, you can now delve into features like Microsoft's DirectStorage API, which could help speed up load times on the handheld. Yet, unless you get a kick out of tinkering with experimental gaming PC setups, you might still want to hold off, as a lack of driver support means Windows still isn't quite as good as SteamOS on the Deck.

As you'd perhaps expect, Valve's beta Steam Deck patch is also still being tested, meaning early adopters could run into a few quirks. Thankfully, an official SteamOS update also just arrived on the scene, featuring various improvements like the ability to type using dual trackpads.

Elden Ring player fights Tree Sentinel with DDR pad, wins

Elden Ring's Tree Sentinel provides one of the first oomph moments in FromSoftware's new PC game. The colossal horse-bound knight roams the path leading out of the tutorial area in Limgrave, though they're a little too tough to be hanging around in an area frequented by the uninitiated. After being mullered a few times, most new players swiftly tootle around them. You can imagine our joy, then, to see someone beat the big bastard with a dance mat.

Twitch streamer PeekingBoo is something of an expert with Dance Dance Revolution pads. From Super Mario to Celeste, they've played plenty of games on the humble dance mat while notching up some impressive speedruns.

Their new frontier, though, is Elden Ring. PeekingBoo's streams are generally a good time as they find ways to cheese the poor denizens of the Lands Between. When it comes to the Tree Sentinel, though, PeekingBoo decides to go blow for blow. The streamer uses the four directional buttons on the left of his dance pad for movement and the other four to his right for commands like attacking, dodging, jumping, and using an item. They take to the Tree Sentinel fight with some caution, though soon dance their way to victory.

Corsair One i300 review – a unique but expensive gaming PC

The Corsair One i300 marks the first time Intel's best gaming CPU from its Alder Lake lineup finds its way into the line of prebuilt compact gaming PCs, as well as DDR5 gaming RAM. It's without question one of the most powerful, stylish, and silent systems you can buy out-of-the-box today, but does that justify its eye-watering price tag?

Aside from packing the latest cutting-edge specs, the thing that makes the Corsair One i300 so attractive and unique is its form factor. Its sleek black brushed metal exterior is only 7.9-inches deep, which combined with its 15-inch height and 6.8-inch width gives it an awesome monolithic appearance. Looking at it in-person, I can't help but think it's absolutely bananas that Corsair is able to pack this level of hardware into such a small space. Its size also gives the system the advantage of being to fit in just about anywhere you'd want to put it.

It isn't lacking in personality either, with two built-in RGB light pipes running down the edges of its front panel that you can customise with iCue software. Better yet, the i300 can sync up with any other compatible peripherals you have to create a clean, uniform aesthetic, and contribute to enhancing the atmosphere of any iCue-compatible games. The small triangular cut-outs along the sides of the chassis that form in the intake vents are a nice touch too.

Razer keyboards, headsets, and chairs up to 56% off in sale

Razer gear is among the best you'll find on the market: its keyboards lead innovation, its headsets go toe-to-toe with the top, and resting your butt on its gaming chairs is like sitting on a cloud. The best PC games feel even better when you're playing them with a setup full of top quality RGB hardware, and right now you can get up to 56% off in Amazon's Razer sale.

One Razer keyboard included in the sale is the Huntsman V2 (a model we named one of the best gaming keyboards). It uses hard, durable doubleshot PBT keycaps for longevity, with labels that won't fade over time. It also uses Chroma RGB lighting and is ergonomically designed to avoid strain on your wrist or hands, and it's currently 40% off, saving you $100.

That's just one of many highlights, though. The Razer Basilisk V2 mouse is 56% cheaper, the Razer Kiyo Pro streaming webcam is half price, the Razer Kraken X gaming headset is 40% off, and there are many other discounts too. If you've been meaning to overhaul your gaming setup for some time, now could be the ideal time to do so.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Ti will need a wind farm for power

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Ti will undoubtedly rank among the best graphics cards, but it could be set to blow away the competition in more ways than one. While the majority of the RTX 4000 flagship's specs remain up in the air, one report suggests that the GPU is so power-hungry that it will need a wind farm for power.

We received a tip from wind turbine engineer Gus Towind, who claims to have personally installed PCIe Gen 5 power connectors suitable for the RTX 4090 Ti onto wind turbines across the United Kingdom. "I've never seen anything like it in all my years on the job," Towind says "when the first work order arrived, I thought they were winding us up, but more and more just seemed to appear out of thin air. I don't know if the grid's going to handle it."

It turns out that the installation contracts are predominantly coming from crypto miners, who have bought swathes of land surrounding the wind turbines with the intention of building a much less eco-friendly kind of farm.

Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu banner release date and abilities

Looking for the Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu banner release date? Following the discovery of a reference to Kuki Shinobi in Genshin Impact's game files, players have been eagerly waiting for more information on this possible new Genshin Impact character - and now we have some!

Kuki Shinobu's banner release date isn't known yet, but there are few things we can say for certain now that she's been officially announced via the Genshin Impact twitter account. We know she's an electro character, for example, and the current rumours suggests Kuki will be a new four-star character coming in a future Genshin Impact banner.

Thanks to recent leaks from the 2.7 beta, we also have some idea as to what her abilities might look like as well. It seems she's a sword user, with some healing-focused support abilities that work even when she's off the field. Kuki Shinobu - previously known as Kuki Ninja - is mentioned in-game in a couple of voice lines. She's the deputy of the Arataki gang, and was first introduced in Itto's official announcement tweet. Here's everything we know about Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact.

Elden Ring 2 delayed until George RR Martin beats Margit

Bad news if you've already beaten the latest FromSoftware hit: Elden Ring 2 has been delayed. "We wanted to start work on Elden Ring 2 as soon as development on the first game concluded," director Hidetaka Miyazaki tells us in an exclusive interview. "However, Mr [George RR] Martin won't agree to a meeting until he beats Margit, the Fell Omen. Every time we reach out, he tells us that we must 'put our foolish ambitions to rest'".

Acclaimed fantasy author George RR Martin was brought in to help craft the backstory for Elden Ring, and as Miyazaki tells us, "certain contract details" require that he serve a similar role on the sequel - a sequel FromSoftware knew it wanted to make ever since the "overwhelming" response to the first gameplay trailer.

Yet, according to Miyazaki, Martin won't agree to a meeting with the developers until he beats Margit, the Fell Omen, one of the first major Elden Ring bosses. Margit has proven to be a challenging roadblock to new players, and after soliciting advice from long-time Souls fans, Martin has insisted on beating Margit without the help of fancy builds, instead opting for a level-one melee class. Miyazaki tells us that Martin believes "if he cannot get good, his name shouldn't be on the game".

League of Legends patch 12.7 notes – Arcana skins

League of Legends patch 12.7 notes are starting to make their way onto the PBE, folks. While LoL patch 12.6 has only just been released, Riot Games is wasting no time getting to work on what's next for the MOBA game.

The 12.6 update has plenty to keep you occupied while Riot works on the next patch. The fashion-conscious among us have some new LoL Anima Squad skins to check out, which may be good news if you're a fan of Vayne, Miss Fortune, or Jinx. Rengar has also got a pretty hefty rework, while Hecarim has got some much-needed nerfs to rein them in a tad.

While it's early days for patch 12.7, we've got a wee glimpse of what's coming our way. Riot has revealed that we're getting Arcane skins for Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Ryze, and Hecarim, which essentially gives the LoL champions a warm red glow and some new duds. As is often the case this early into a new patch cycle, there are no champion, item, or rune balance changes on the PBE to eyeball just yet, but do keep checking back on these notes each day, as a bunch will likely appear soon. We'll be sure to post everything you need to know right here.

April Fool's Day mostly exists to demonstrate that marketing people are not funny, but I do like when developers follow through and actually make daft jokes reality. Case in point: renovate 'em up House Flipper has added two apartments from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. for you to fix up. You can refresh the 90s vibes of Rachel & Monica's flat, and make Chandler & Joey's flat at least somewhat resemble a place fit for human habitation. I approve of this April Foolishness.

Nine Sols is an upcoming 2D action platformer developed by Red Candle, the folks behind horror games Devotion and Detention. It's a pretty big leap from their usual fare, but based on a 40 minute demo I got to play this week, it's worked out a treat. There's a hint of Sekiro in there, with katana clashing combat, combined with a mysterious story that has me itching to know more. This is rare for someone like me, who often cares more for the action than the characters. Hey, keep an eye on this one.

FFXIV Patch 6.1 Release Date Revealed

FFXIV patch 6.1 will release on April 12, 2022. Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida revealed the launch date during the Letter from the Producer Live LXX on April 1, 2022. Patch 6.1 will come with a plethora of new content, which includes new main scenario quests and a raid.

Additionally, a trailer for patch 6.1 was shown during the presentation. It featured several major characters that will appear, and provided a glimpse into the Myths of the Realm raid.

Leading up to the FFXIV patch 6.1 release date, Yoshida spoke to 4Gamer about the Myths of the Realm raid. This will be an entirely new story set. It will explore the mythology and power of the Twelve deities of Eorzea. Unlike the Return to Ivalice and YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raid series, it will not be connected to any IPs outside of Final Fantasy XIV.

Other notable additions that will appear alongside patch 6.1 include the Dragonsong's Reprise Ultimate raid and the Crystalline Conflict PvP mode. Square Enix shared a roadmap leading up to Patch 6.5, which reveals what content will appear in each subsequent update.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The FFXIV patch 6.1 release date is April 12, 2022.

among us horse mode april fools

For April Fools 2022, Among Us players can activate Horse Mode. This will only be available for a single day. As one may expect, Horse Mode turns the crewmate or impostor that you control into a "cursed" horse-like figure. Aside from that, everything appears to play the same.

https://twitter.com/AmongUsGame/status/1509685149092384782

According to the tweet from the official Among Us Twitter account, the team came up with Horse Mode in 2021. However, it did not go through with it. For 2020 and 2021, the April Fools joke was "ehT dlekS." It was a reversed version of The Skeld, which is one of the maps in Among Us. The Skeld will not appear as "ehT dlekS" this year because of Horse Mode.

Aside from the different visuals of the crewmates and impostors, there is a "neigh" kill sound effect. According to the Innersloth website, the sound effect is not a real horse. One of the team's programmers, Gary, provided the voice, and it was originally a filler sound. Because of the "cursed" body shapes, they can only wear hats and visors, which will temporarily limit what cosmetics you can put on your character.

Among Us is available on Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Horse Mode April Fools joke will only be available on April 1, 2022.

FGO April Fool's 2022

Fate/Grand Order developer Lasengle (formerly Delightworks) has a standing tradition of releasing elaborate, fully functional FGO joke apps for April Fools' Day, and 2022 is no different. This year's gag, called Fate/Pixel Wars, is only available through April 1, 2022 in Japan.

Check out the video below for a preview of the FGO April Fools 2022 app.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSfozo0nMKk

The premise of Fate/Pixel Wars is the Presidential Election. Characters became "campaign officers" for the Goredolf for President 2022 campaign. Their goal: to gather support for the campaign from the population of wandering Servants to ultimately defeat the other candidates in the ultimate high-stakes popularity contest.

Fate/Pixel Wars uses fairly simple mechanics based on "Grow Games" such as Agar.io. Players are given control of a pixel-art rendition of the protagonist. They then move around the map, gathering up pixel Servants and growing their squad. The "blob" of characters grows large and unwieldy, encountering other blobs of characters. Larger blobs battle and absorb smaller ones, growing to take in any defeated groups.

The FGO system of class advantage also plays a role in the 2022 April Fools minigame. Players arrange their group of supporters into different formations, which are more effective based on their class. For example, a Saber-class formation is more effective against a Lancer-class formation, which is stronger against Archer formations, which beats Saber formations.

Lastly, Fate/Pixel Wars has a few gimmicks for players that download it. An AR camera can be used to view a special "summoning circle" to project their collected pixel Servants onto a real-world surface.

Fate/Pixel Wars is available on iOS and Android in Japan through April 1, 2022.

granblue fantasy bobobo-bo april fools 2022

The Granblue Fantasy April Fools 2022 event is a Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo collaboration. This is the second time the character has appeared in the game, following a similar collaboration event last year. The event brings back many outfits and items from the previous one, including Don Patch's sword and Bobobo-bo's five unlockable outfits. Additionally, a campaign will reward players with 3,000 crystals if 10,000 people wish Bobobo-bo a happy birthday. The event will run until April 2, 2022, Japan Time. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

https://twitter.com/granbluefantasy/status/1377274792462610434

The collaboration event is marketed as the "366th day of April Fools," referencing the previous year's Bobobo-bo collaboration. As with the previous event, it comes with a story featuring the titular character as well as others from the Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo series like Don Patch and Beauty. This year's collaboration also adds new trophies and a trivia page for Bobobo-bo characters.

Players can have Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo join their party by collecting sessalg. You can obtain sessalg through battles with Bo-bobo himself. You can also use the sessalg to purchase five outfits for Bo-bobo. The outfits will not change his appearance, but will instead unlock various voice lines for the character. Unlockable items include Don Patch's green onion sword and Bo-bobo's iconic afro. Since most of the items and outfits are the same as last year's event, players who have already obtained them will be unable to do so again during this year's event.

Finally, the official Granblue Fantasy account is holding a Twitter campaign celebrating Bo-bobo's birthday. If the hashtag #ボーボボお誕生日おめでとう ("Happy Birthday Bo-bobo") reaches over 10,000 tweets, all players will receive 3,000 crystals.

This isn't the first time Granblue Fantasy has collaborated with other franchises. The game frequently hosts crossovers with a wide range of games, anime, and other media. Recently, Cygames announced a collaboration with Final Fantasy XI. Last year, the game also hosted a Gintama collaboration event, as well as one with Doraemon.

Granblue Fantasy is available on iOS and Android devices. The Granblue Fantasy Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo collaboration event will last until April 2, 2022, at 12 a.m. JST.
