If you're not familiar with Trials of Osiris, it's a weekly PvP challenge where you enter a competitive gauntlet of 3v3 elimination matches. Your rewards are now doled out with a reputation system, so it's not about pure wins anymore, but you will still get special rewards if you can manage to go flawless. Trials lands with the reset every Friday at 9am PST / 12pm EST / 5pm GMT, and lasts until the Tuesday reset at those same times. PCGamesN Friday, April 1, 2022 12:38 PM  The latest Minecraft snapshot is here, and it's a good one. Each snapshot shows off new features, mobs, building types, and whatever else the devs feel like. It's a good way to test out how the proposed updates interact with the game without disrupting people too much, and the 22w13a snapshot adds in the adorable Minecraft allay mob. The allay is a new creature that is a sort of adorable blue sprite. They're not just friendly, but actively useful too. You can hand them items, which will gain you a new friend who will help collect that item from the nearby area. They're an oddity, for sure, but we think they'll rapidly become one of the internet's favourite mobs. You can see how much potential they have as partners by looking at how great they look while holding a book, but you can also see other uses by looking at how they act in the dark. Razer is up to its usual tomfoolery with a vibrating suit that looks like it belongs on the set of the next Tron movie, Kingston wants to tap into your emotions in order to power its RGB lighting, and OverclockersUK has yeeted RGB out the window entirely by revisiting the land of beige gaming PCs. Anyway, we need somewhere to dump all the duds we've stumbled across during our trips down to the news mines. Beta 3 introduces GalCiv 4's civilisation creator tool, which means players can now build their own factions from scratch - so if you've ever wanted to lead a race of Thomas the Tank Engines to galactic conquest, your day has finally arrived. The civilisation creator gives you control over every aspect of your faction, down to its component atoms, traits, abilities, and home planet. The civs you create can also be played by the AI, and the tool gives you options for how the AI will behave when playing your faction, allowing you to pick priorities, character traits, and ideology from extensive lists. Naturally, you've also got complete control over your civ's fleet design, but you can also upload custom artwork for your faction's leaders. So, again, this could be Thomas the Tank Engine, Shrek, the turtle pope from Elden Ring, your cat, your parents, someone else's cat, or a bunch of ugly ape drawings you found online for free. PCGamesN Friday, April 1, 2022 11:34 AM  As part of today's Live Letter 70, Final Fantasy XIV producer Yoshi-P confirmed that the MMORPG's first major content update for Endwalker, which was initially detailed during the previous Live Letter, will be arriving on April 12. This patch adds new main scenario quests, sidequests, and role quests, alongside a number of other updates to housing, job balance, and more. Following on from the climactic events of Endwalker's main story, 6.1's story quests will see the Warrior of Light and their friends set out looking for new adventures. This will include new role quests and the beginnings of the Tataru's Grand Endeavour series, which focuses on everyone's favourite Lalafellin receptionist. You'll have to wait until patch 6.15 to reconvene with the gentleman inspector Hildibrand Manderville and undertake Tribal Quests for the Arkasodara, however. We'll also be seeing a rollout of some more endgame content, including the new Myths of the Realm alliance raid, and more challenging versions of trials such as The Minstrel's Ballad: Endsinger's Aria and Ultima's Bane (Unreal) to test out the more hardcore members of the player base. PCGamesN Friday, April 1, 2022 9:58 AM  2022's first major update for RTS game Age of Empires IV, titled Festival of Ages, is due to arrive next week. The update introduces ranked multiplayer seasons, a content editor, mods, seasonal events, and a host of balance and quality-of-life tweaks. Developer Relic Entertainment showed off the new updates and features in a trailer and a developer livestream. Possibly the most exciting introduction for players will be the content editor, which is launching in an initial beta state and allows players to tweak a wealth of options, create their own maps, and rebalance units to their desires, so you can finally give your favourite civilisation the overpowered units they always deserved. Players will also be able to craft entire mods if they wish - a few examples of which can currently be experienced in the Public Update Preview beta. The other major addition with this update is the introduction of Seasons. As the name suggests, things will kick off with Season One upon the launch of the update, with Season Two set to follow in the coming months. These will feature Ranked Seasons for competitive multiplayer, allowing players to prove who's truly the best of the best, as well as Seasonal Events which will offer rewards for completing in-game challenges. There are a few rumours about the next Sims game floating around, but there's nothing concrete to report yet. In the absence of any confirmed details, it's about time we look ahead and start thinking about what we want from the next Sims game. The Sims 5 release date feels like it could be years away, so now feels like a great time to highlight want we want to see. While The Sims 4 did well, it's very hard to overlook some of the things that feel a little scaled down from previous entries in the series, not to mention all of the features that could have been implemented since in the form of post-launch content and patches. After all, we live in an age now where the game that releases is different from the one that players experience several years later. Hopefully, Maxis Studios knows exactly what it's doing, and craft something beyond our wildest dreams, but we also really want them to include a few features that fans have been asking for since the earliest days of the series. We're not saying we know better - we definitely do not - just that we'd like these to be included if that's okay please and thank you. |

With a month now passed since Bungie launched the FPS game's The Witch Queen expansion, which editor Rich named the developer's "best expansion yet" in our review, and many players having made their way through the newest Vow of the Disciple raid, the team at Bungie is looking forward to 2022's Festival of the Lost event with a second community vote on new armour. The devs have outlined their plans for #TeamMechs vs #TeamMonsters in a new blog post. The vote is an opportunity for players to have their say on a featured armour ornament set which will go on sale in the Eververse cosmetic store later in the year during the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost. Once the event is live, you'll be able to purchase it with Bright Dust or the premium Silver currency. Last year saw 200,000 votes cast by players to determine whether dinosaurs or monsters should be the featured theme, with the dinos taking a massive 81% of the vote. However, the design team at Bungie has revamped the monster outfits for 2022's lineup and is now pitting them against a trio of Gundam-inspired suits in the battle to be featured during this year's upcoming Halloween festivities. Such is the case with Innersloth, makers of breakout social deduction game Among Us, who have brought the horseplay with a limited one-day-only mode. Among Us - Horse Edition is available to play right now, and sees the notorious crewmates and imposters grow a second pair of legs and take on a more equine profile. They're cute, they're unassuming, and they will breed the galaxy out of existence if you're not careful. They've been available to play in the space strategy game for a while, so if you're interested you can pre-order today to get instant access to the beta and take them for a spin. These furry spacefarers may lack the Arcean Republic's military prowess or the Xeloxi's affinity for stealing anything not nailed to the hull plating, but they more than make up for it with sheer numbers, courtesy of their Fertile ability. You will never lack for citizens with the Mimot Brotherhood, although the food to feed them may always be in short supply. Thankfully, their other ability - Proliferation - states that whenever a ship is constructed, two are made at the same time. This means you'll have plenty of colony ships and constructors with which you can ship off those unwanted children to somewhere far, far away. Unfortunately, this ability also applies a -25% health reduction to all Mimot ships, which means you'll have to swarm your enemies if you want to compete militarily. PCGamesN Friday, April 1, 2022 7:04 AM  Valve's portable powerhouse now fully supports Windows 11, thanks to a beta Steam Deck update. The in-progress patch enables fTPM for the handheld's AMD chipset, allowing players to use exclusive OS features. However, you'll still need to choose between Microsoft's platform and SteamOS, and the former still comes with optimisation caveats. If you're brave enough to install Windows 11 on your Steam Deck, you can now delve into features like Microsoft's DirectStorage API, which could help speed up load times on the handheld. Yet, unless you get a kick out of tinkering with experimental gaming PC setups, you might still want to hold off, as a lack of driver support means Windows still isn't quite as good as SteamOS on the Deck. As you'd perhaps expect, Valve's beta Steam Deck patch is also still being tested, meaning early adopters could run into a few quirks. Thankfully, an official SteamOS update also just arrived on the scene, featuring various improvements like the ability to type using dual trackpads. PCGamesN Friday, April 1, 2022 6:50 AM  Elden Ring's Tree Sentinel provides one of the first oomph moments in FromSoftware's new PC game. The colossal horse-bound knight roams the path leading out of the tutorial area in Limgrave, though they're a little too tough to be hanging around in an area frequented by the uninitiated. After being mullered a few times, most new players swiftly tootle around them. You can imagine our joy, then, to see someone beat the big bastard with a dance mat. Twitch streamer PeekingBoo is something of an expert with Dance Dance Revolution pads. From Super Mario to Celeste, they've played plenty of games on the humble dance mat while notching up some impressive speedruns. Their new frontier, though, is Elden Ring. PeekingBoo's streams are generally a good time as they find ways to cheese the poor denizens of the Lands Between. When it comes to the Tree Sentinel, though, PeekingBoo decides to go blow for blow. The streamer uses the four directional buttons on the left of his dance pad for movement and the other four to his right for commands like attacking, dodging, jumping, and using an item. PCGamesN Friday, April 1, 2022 6:54 AM  The Corsair One i300 marks the first time Intel's best gaming CPU from its Alder Lake lineup finds its way into the line of prebuilt compact gaming PCs, as well as DDR5 gaming RAM. It's without question one of the most powerful, stylish, and silent systems you can buy out-of-the-box today, but does that justify its eye-watering price tag? Aside from packing the latest cutting-edge specs, the thing that makes the Corsair One i300 so attractive and unique is its form factor. Its sleek black brushed metal exterior is only 7.9-inches deep, which combined with its 15-inch height and 6.8-inch width gives it an awesome monolithic appearance. Looking at it in-person, I can't help but think it's absolutely bananas that Corsair is able to pack this level of hardware into such a small space. Its size also gives the system the advantage of being to fit in just about anywhere you'd want to put it. It isn't lacking in personality either, with two built-in RGB light pipes running down the edges of its front panel that you can customise with iCue software. Better yet, the i300 can sync up with any other compatible peripherals you have to create a clean, uniform aesthetic, and contribute to enhancing the atmosphere of any iCue-compatible games. The small triangular cut-outs along the sides of the chassis that form in the intake vents are a nice touch too. Following the discovery of a reference to Kuki Shinobi in Genshin Impact's game files, players have been eagerly waiting for more information on this possible new Genshin Impact character. Kuki Shinobu's banner release date isn't known yet, but there are few things we can say for certain now that she's been officially announced via the Genshin Impact twitter account. We know she's an Electro character, for example, and the current rumours suggests Kuki will be a new four-star character coming in a future Genshin Impact banner. Thanks to recent leaks from the 2.7 beta, we also have some idea as to what her abilities might look like as well. It seems she's a sword user, with some healing-focused support abilities that work even when she's off the field. Kuki Shinobu - previously known as Kuki Ninja - is mentioned in-game in a couple of voice lines. She's the deputy of the Arataki gang, and was first introduced in Itto's official announcement tweet. At the end of the side quest Honest Debt, you convince a man to either spare or gun down a rather horrible chap who wronged him greatly. There's nothing particularly remarkable about that - I've encountered the same thing dozens of times in games - but what comes after is a real doozy. Not content simply with nudging the fella into giving in to his worst impulses, I then proceeded to persuade him to wipe the very memory of his nemesis from the galaxy, up to and including hunting down his friends and family members. Bastilla Shan, noted Jedi do-gooder, pointed out that neither she nor the Jedi council would approve. I was giggling like a schoolgirl. |

The second most important thing is that Death Stranding's photo mode remains just glorious, brilliant fun, and it therefore felt appropriate, nay, necessary to give my good old BB Boys another trip for the album. |

For example, there's probably a generally accepted term for RPGs about traipsing around dungeons killing rats, while turning and moving strictly at 90 degree angles. But I actually typed out "Dungeons of Gridlock" because I genuinely thought that's what Legend Of Grimrock was called. For once, I am not trying to annoy fans of a thing I generally hate. That's because I've been playing Potato Flowers In Full Bloom, which is very much one of those games. And it's the first I've ever enjoyed. |

While this weakness is outweighed by the pleasures of playing PC games in bed or on the bus, most such games will drain the Deck quickly, requiring a degree of foresight if you want to entertain yourself on a long trip away from mains power. At the same time, different games will drain at different speeds, with some allowing Valve's handheld to last hours longer than others. Ultimately, I think the only truly accurate way to measure and judge the Steam Deck's battery life is to test a bunch of different games to see how long it lasts with each. So I have! Here you'll find a list of games with how long they took to empty the Deck's battery from full. I'll be coming back and adding more to the list as I test them, so you can see for yourself what uptimes to expect from your favourites. |

In poorer moments, it falls into the trap of the sketch show, flogging a perfectly fine jokehorse to the point of putrefaction. In richer moments, it flips your expectations with a huge scene-changing gag that solicits a hearty giggle. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is more mix for the bag. It's a loots-be-shoot with a moreish loop urging you onward, boasting characterful art design and thick-lined scenery goading you to pause for yet another snap in photo mode. For Borderlikers, the gun compulsion and farty japes will be enough. It exists as a handsome world to roam through with pals, half-listening to dialogue while Paula chews toast and Jeremy complains about work. As that, Tinalands is fine. It is also 100% not for me. |

It's a pretty big leap from their usual fare, but based on a 40 minute demo I got to play this week, it's worked out a treat. There's a hint of Sekiro in there, with katana clashing combat, combined with a mysterious story that has me itching to know more. This is rare for someone like me, who often cares more for the action than the characters. Hey, keep an eye on this one. |

On April 1, 2022, Adam "adamgryu" Robinson-Yu released the A Short Hike 99 online multiplayer mod. It is free and allows up to 99 people to play the game together. Any PC player can access it, with the Steam version available as the ashorthike99_mod beta branch. People who got it through itch.io or other storefronts will need to download it from the official site. Here's the official A Short Hike multiplayer mod announcement, which also includes a gif of three people playing on the volleyball court. The announcement warned that it is "rough" and won't be added as a full, official mode.
Adamgryu's A Short Hike multiplayer server will only be up for a brief time. The announcement offered a two week deadline. That means people can play with others online until April 15, 2022. However, the itch.io page did note people could set up their own servers in addition to or after that date. A Short Hike is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In honor of the new Holostars unit Uproar, Hololive shared an origin story comic for the group. Hizaki Gamma's four page short is available in Japanese and English. It follows the last minute formation of the group by Fuma Yatogami, the new unit's "leader." Yatogami Fuma is considered the "Spirit Jack of All Trades." The group manager tasked him with finding new talent. Since he couldn't find any, he joined with people he knew and recently met like Utsugi Uyu, Hizaki Gamma, and Minase Rio. In other Holostars news, Hololive shared an April Fools' joke that involved a fake otome game starring members from units other than Uproar. It joked that there would essentially be a "Tokimeki Holostar Gakuen" game. It suggested Hanasaki Miyabi, Kanade Izuru, Arurandeisu, Rikka, Astel Leda, Kishido Temma, Yukoku Roberu, Kageyama Shien, and Aragami Oga would be in it.

The FFXIV Endwalker art book appeared during the Letter from the Producer Live LXX. People will be able to pick up FFXIV Endwalker: The Art of Resurrection - Among the Stars - on September 13, 2022. Pre-orders are already open at the Square Enix Store. It will cost $39.99. That gets you both the book and a Wind-Up Ragnarok Minion to use in FFXIV. FFXIV Endwalker: The Art of Resurrection - Among the Stars - will be 288 pages long. It specifically involves concept art from the latest expansion. Both the Reaper and Sage will appear. So will some of the new bosses and enemies folks see in it. Both Old Sharlayan and Radz-at-Han locations show up in it as well. Here are some examples of pages from the FFXIV Endwalker art book. Some of the images look at the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, the new Reaper job, Lopporit concept art, and Labyrinthos. Finally, this is what the Wind-Up Ragnarok Minion will look like in FFXIV. This is one of many FFXIV books on the way. The Namazu and the Greatest Gift will show up in July 2022. The FFXIV Chronicles of Light short stories collection will return in October 2022. G Fuel announced it is making another unorthodox drink flavor for April Fools' again. This time, it has to do with Naruto. The Naruto Miso Ramen flavor is on the way, and there will be a Collector's Box with the powder and a shaker. There's no exact release window for it yet, but people can join a waitlist for it. As the name suggests, this Naruto G Fuel will taste like miso ramen. This is a callback to Ramen Ichiraku, the Konohagakure restaurant characters eat at in the series. The Collector's Box will give people one tub of this limited edition flavor. It's a standard 9.8 oz size, which gives you 40 servings. People also get the 16 oz shaker with a chibi version of Naruto on it. It can be used to make and drink the G Fuel. Here's a closer look at everything people will get. Rean Schwarzer, the protagonist of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series, will appear on a dakimakura cover. Fuji Dakimakura opened pre-orders for the official body pillow cover made in collaboration with Nihon Falcom. In December 2021, Fuji Dakimakura held a quick poll asking which attires fans would like to see in a Rean Schwarzer dakimakura cover. The store has since revealed that the traveling outfit from the second game and the instructor uniform from the third game were the top two winners. The two-sided pillow cover will feature Rean in the aforementioned costumes. The made-to-order dakimakura cover will be 160 cm (~63 inches) tall and 50 cm (~19.7 inches) wide. Fuji Dakimakura will use 2-way tricot to create the pillow cover. It will close the pre-orders on May 9, 2022, and ship the finished products domestically in Japan in June 2022. Fuji Dakimakura had previously sold official dakimakura covers of Ys VIII's Adol Christin, Dana Iclucia, and Laxia von Roswell. It also made pillow covers based on other company IPs, such as Bandai Namco's God Eater and Code Vein. The entire Trails of Cold Steel tetralogy is available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. An anime adaptation of the series is slated to appear in 2022. The next title starring Rean Schwarzer in The Legend of Heroes franchise is Trails into Reverie, and NIS America will release its English localization in 2023. MiHoyo revealed the Honkai Impact 3rd 5.6 release date is April 7, 2022. As expected, the new update will mean additional battlesuits. In particular, Pardofelis is appearing for the first time. The Chakram will appear as a new weapon too. There will also be Elysian Realm changes and a chance to get the Valkyrie Gloria battlesuit from taking part in the mode. First, a lot of Elysian Realm additions and changes are coming to Honkai Impact 3rd. Earning Valkyrie Gloria is one. She's a reward for going through its tutorial and trying the mode. More people will be able to play in this mode too, as you now only need to be level 30 to access it. People can also get Daybreak, Discipline, Helix, Reverie, and Stars Flame-Chaser Signets. Chapter 3 isn't available yet, but open access is coming. Sequence: Real is being removed and its items are being added to Sequence: Dangerous instead. Weekly challenges will also be changed, with rotating stage effects, buffs, and clear score rewards. The other big change is the addition of Pardofelis. She already appeared in-game as the person in charge of the Elysian Shop. Now, you'll also be able to fight as her with the Reverist Calico. It is the first to use chakrams as a weapon. The official Genshin Impact Ella Musk Twitter account shared an April Fools' Day video starring a specific Abyss Lector. The joke trailer is set up in such a way to suggest that the Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames: Treasures in Texts is an upcoming character. This marks the return of a notable NPC from the From Dusk to Dawn in Byakuyakoku quests. Back in the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXVII, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida teased the FFXIV Garo would return. During the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXX, its comeback was confirmed. A new image for the event appeared alongside a trailer. It also confirmed that there will be new gear for the Dancer, Gunbreaker, Reaper, and Sage. Here's the new image for the FFXIV Garo event's return. From left to right, it shows the White Mage, Black Mage, Warrior, Paladin, Dragoon, Monk, and Bard gear. While the announcement did confirm the Endwalker and Shadowbringer Dancer, Gunbreaker, Reaper, and Sage will get achievements, gear, and titles, none of them appeared in the image or trailer. Here's the new trailer for the crossover event. It shows off both the returning armor and mounts. This crossover first showed up when FFXIV patch 3.5 appeared. However, it was removed ahead of patch 5.1. Gear appeared for the Astrologian, Bard, Black Mage, Dark Knight, Dragoon, Machinist, Monk, Ninja, Paladin, Scholar, Summoner, Warrior, and White Mage at the time. Square Enix is continuing its trend of sharing FFVII Remake calendar images, and the one for April 2022 stars Aerith. They appeared for free on the official Japanese Twitter account. Each one features her clutching her staff, perhaps in battle in an area under Midgar's plates. Two variations are available. One is designed to be a PC background. The other is for phones. Both offer the exact same pose. First, here's the desktop FFVII Remake Aerith calendar for April 2022. And this is the one people can use on mobile devices. This means all four "main" party members from FFVII Remake appeared in 2022 calendar images. Things kicked off in January 2022 with Cloud and his Buster Sword. Barret starred in the image for February 2022. Tifa had her moment in March 2022. Now that FFVII Remake and Intergrade are out, the official Japanese Twitter account tends to share concept art, behind-the-scenes images, details about the game, and calendar images like these. For example, in March 2022 it went over how much Loveless tickets could cost in FFVII. It also showed the layout of Shinra Company bathrooms and looked at what each stall looks like. One of the defining features of the 2019 game Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the ability to invite a character to a tea party. Players will soon be able to experience the tea party and taste the blends in real life. Intelligent Systems has opened pre-orders for official tea sets based on the game title. It is working with the Japanese tea company Lupicia to actually create the tea blends. The real-life Fire Emblem Three Houses tea set will come in two different packages. The Fodlan Tea Break pack will come with one set of porcelain teacup and saucer, as well as a Hresvelg Blend can containing five tea bags. Lupicia will combine black tea with rose red and safflower flavorings to produce the blend in real life.
The second pack, Fodlan Tea Collection, will contain thirty tea bags with other blends seen in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This set will let fans taste the game's tea blends, such as Almyran Pine Needles, Dagda Fruit Blend, Leicester Cortania, and Seiros Tea.
Both sets are available individually at 5,500 yen (~$45), without including shipping fees. Pre-orders for both packages will close on May 31, 2022. Intelligent Systems and Lupicia will ship the items domestically in Japan between September and October 2022. The actual tea bags will have an expiry date of July 2024. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a turn-based strategy RPG available on Nintendo Switch. On March 31, 2022, it seemed as though a special website appeared to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Metal Gear series. However, it did not feature any kinds of clues or hints about what could be announced regarding any game or merchandise related announcements. However, later on April 1, 2022 it was revealed to be an April Fools' Day joke from an unrelated entity. Upon its reveal, it suggested it would be a site promoting Metal Gear series NFTs. Each one featured Dr. Hal "Otacon" Emmerich sprites. A Konami spokesperson told GamesRadar it had no ties to the company. It's been a while since Konami made any significant Metal Gear announcements about any potential game releases or re-releases. In November 2021, certain entries in the Metal Gear Solid series were removed from digital storefronts. Among them were the digital versions of Metal Gear Solid HD, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3. This was a result of Konami needing to renew the license due to specific footage that appeared within those titles. However, in December 2020 it was announced a Metal Gear Solid movie is in development. Oscar Isaac (Star Wars, Moon Knight) is set to star as Solid Snake. Other names attached to the film include script writer Derek Connolly (Kong: Skull Island, Jurassic World) and producer Avi Arad (Iron Man, Uncharted). However, outside of Isaac previously confirming that the film is still in production, any significant news on it has yet to be released. Square Enix will add new mounts in Final Fantasy XIV with the arrival of Patch 6.1. The company revealed several of these new additions during the Letter from the Producer Live 70. One of the mounts players can obtain once Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1 goes live is a pod from NieR: Automata. A furry mount that looks eerily similar to the Goobbue was also shown, alongside a hippo drawing a carriage. The presentation also showed two other mounts. One was a long-necked creature with hooves and wings. The other has has a similar model to the T-Rex. The Letter from the Producer Live also showed several new minions. This included a car minion, which appears to be driven by Nero tol Scaeva. The others were a kangaroo, a blue-footed bird, and a magitek of some kind. Players will also be able to obtain a minion inspired by a Pomeranian. It will have black and white fur. While many new mounts and minions were shown, the Final Fantasy XIV 6.1 Letter from the Producer Live did not disclose how players could obtain them. As part of the Letter from the Producer Live LXX, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida showed off the new FFXIV Hrothgar hairstyles. We already had an idea they'd be on the way from the past presentation. But now we have an idea of how some new styles will look. Six total Hrothgar hairstyles appeared during the FFXIV stream. All of them already are in game for some other races. While the new FFXIV Hrothgar hairstyles have a release date, there still isn't one for another addition for the race. Yoshida announced that playable female Hrothgar are coming to the game back when the Endwalker expansion was announced. In the February 2022 Letter from the Producer Live, he noted that the team is making progress, but there's no release date for the new characters. The Hrothgar aren't the only race to get new cosmetic options recently. Back at the end of 2021, new Viera hairstyles appeared. When that happened, female Viera ended up getting looks that resembled hairdos FFXIII's Lightning and NieR Automata's 2B wore. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. During a FFXIV Letter from the Producer Live LXX, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida revealed more information concerning the Myths of the Realm raid. The first tier of the Myths of the Realm raid will appear as part of the initial release of Patch 6.1 and is called Aglaia. Players will have the opportunity to uncover and explore the mysteries surrounding the Twelve through this new content. Additionally, Yoshida further elaborated on what players can expect to see from the raid. A brief glimpse into Aglaia was shown during the FFXIV Patch 6.1 trailer and during the Letter from the Producer Live broadcast. This offered a better look at the environments, which appear inspired by the in-game deity Rhalgr. While bosses were not shown during the presentation, the trailer did provide a glimpse into an enemy players will encounter as part of the raid. The boss is shown summoning a hammer that will slam down inside of the arena. Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1 will also add new main scenario quests, a PvP mode, and job changes. Future updates will see the inclusion of the Island Sanctuary, and the conclusion of the Pandaemonium raid series. Here are pictures of the new armor. As part of the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXX, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida went over FFXIV job changes coming in the 6.1 patch. Among them are a number of changes that can make certain characters or skills more viable. For example, there will be FFXIV buffs to help the White Mage's healing, increase the Dark Knight's survivability, and guarantee the Samurai critical hits. Here's the full, official list of everything changing in the game from slides Yoshida shared. The Samurai and Ninja both will see quite a few job changes in FFXIV. The samurai's Kaeshi: Namikiri, Kaeshi: Setsugekka, Midare Setsugekka, and Ogi Namikiri will all get guaranteed critical hits. However, it is losing Hissatsu: Kaiten. The Ninja's Mug will make enemies take more damage. However, Trick Attack only makes a Ninja deal more damage. The FFXIV White Mage and Dark Knight 6.1 job changes came up in the second slide. It started by bringing how Dark Knights will now get HP when they attack with Walking Dead. The goal is to make them a little less fragile. As for the White Mage, both Asylum and Cure Realm affect a larger area and Liturgy of the Bell can be ended early go heal more. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. I used a wired Xbox 360 controller on PC for years and years and, I have to say, the thing never stopped working, even if the buttons started to stick a bit and the rubber on the left stick rubbed off. I eventually switched to a DualShock 4 (which did stop working) and had mostly solid results, though the compatibility still wasn't all the way there.
