Humble Choice adds a cyberpunk platformer and Naruto

Another month is here, which means it's time to look at the Humble Choice games list for April 2022. Unlike last month's bundle, there's no big triple-A game like Mass Effect: Legendary Edition anchoring the selection, but there is a selection of great indie games, plus a Naruto brawler to satisfy your need for anime games.

If you've not been keeping up with Humble's regular tweaks to the Choice formula, the bundle now costs $11.99 USD and gets you access to every included game. No tiers to worry about, and no need to choose the handful of games you want to keep. The subscription also gets you access to a Game Pass-style library of indie games like A Short Hike and A Hat In Time.

The biggest game on the list this month is probably Ghostrunner, a first-person cyberpunk parkour platformer. We've also got the Destroy All Humans remake and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, for when you absolutely, positively need a game where you can play as both Boruto and his dad.

1 million Sea of Thieves players have reached the endgame

In Sea of Thieves, pirate legend is the top title for players to achieve - and the gateway to the endgame. As part of a new in-game event, Rare has announced that one million players have crossed the threshold into pirate legend status, and has provided a host of stats on what those players did to reach the big rank.

You achieve pirate legend rank by hitting level 50 with three of the game's factions. That, in turn, opens access to the Athena's Fortune faction and a selection of top-end voyages. Sea of Thieves has just over 25 million players overall, so about 4% of them have achieved legendary status. Of those, only 30,908 have hit the top rank with Athena's Fortune - though that cap is going to expand during Season 6.

Rare says it takes an average of 192 hours to reach pirate legend, though one unnamed player spent 2,664 hours getting to that rank. Only 50 players have done it completely solo. You can head over to Rare's announcement blog for a whole lot more stats like this.

Vampire Survivors update 0.42 brings new stage and weapon

There's a whole batch of new content for breakout hit roguelike game Vampire Survivors out today in a new Early Access patch. The update, dubbed patch 0.4.2, adds a brand new stage called the tower. There are seven new achievements to unlock, which means you can expect a new weapon, a new weapon evolution, and more.

The new stage is Vampire Survivors' spookiest level yet, with gothic skull statues, a deep blue tiled floor, and vampire-friendly red carpeting accenting the staircases and traps littered around the floor. It features a new set of enemies and special events, and if you've been following along since last time, it'll mark another step toward your ultimate goal of finding the resting place of the vampire himself.

If you want to work out how to acquire all of this new stuff yourself, you may want to stop reading here. Part of the fun in Vampire Survivors is experimenting with new builds and discovering the new synergies yourself, so we completely understand if you want to go in blind.

Total War: Warhammer 3 patch 1.1 updates the Realm of Chaos

Total War: Warhammer III's big 1.1.0 update has arrived, along with a beefy list of patch notes. The update touches just about every aspect of the strategy game, and adds some new features and options that will make the campaign more interesting and, hopefully, a bit less frustrating at key points.

For most players, the most broadly impactful changes in this update are the ones made to the Realm of Chaos campaign. As promised, the effects of the negative traits gained by entering the Chaos Realms has been roughly halved across the board, and Daemon legendary lords won't experience any negative trait effects whatsoever while traveling through their patron god's realm. All negative traits associated with a realm are now removed as soon as your lord has completed the survival battle there.

The race to collect souls works a bit differently now, too. When you intercept an AI lord at the Forge of Souls, they'll lose all the souls they've collected so far, rather than being wounded for 15 turns. It's now possible to block chaos rifts from spawning in your provinces by building the 'protection' chain of structures in a local settlement.

The Crucial P5 Plus is one of the very fastest NVMe SSDs on the market, hitting sequential read speeds of up to 6600MB/s. That makes it an ideal choice for mid-range to high-end gaming rigs, and it's also fully compatible with the PS5. No matter which manner of gaming machine you stick it in though, you'll benefit from faster loading times that should get even better once DirectStorage-compatible games start being released in the months ahead. Today, the Crucial P5 Plus is also heavily discounted, dropping below the £100 mark for the first time here in the UK.

Corsair's shiny Dominator Platinum DDR4 RAM looks great - and today, we found a 16GB kit that's 22% off over at Ebuyer in the UK. It hits the sweet spot spec of 3200MHz CL16 too, which I've personally found the best bang for your buck in terms of actual in-game performance. Of course, you're paying a little more here for the RGB lighting and the trendy white colour scheme, but there's no harm in choosing components for their aesthetics too.

My Time At Sandrock Early Access release gameplayBack in 2020, developer Pathea Games managed to meet its Kickstarter goal for its new project, dubbed My Time at Sandrock. This game serves as a sequel to 2019's My Time at Portia, a laid-back life sim that impressed quite a few Steam players when it dropped. As the title implies, this follow-up whisks players away to the land of Sandrock, a desert region in desperate need of revitalization. If My Time at Sandrock seems like it would appeal to you, then you can look forward to its Early Access release on May 26. Players can take part in a variety of activities in their effort to bring Sandrock back from its dire economic state. Throughout the game, players will work to level up their preferred skills and either bond with friends and the local community, or make use of their construction skills to augment production. Partaking in assignments from the town residents will allow players to build all manner of machinery, civic structures, and other constructions. My Time at Sandro...

Lost Ark Roadmap 1Lost Ark players rejoice, the roadmap for future content in the game is finally here after an initial delay. After the developer and publisher Amazon Games gauged fan reaction to the recent Argos raid update, the decision was made to delay the roadmap and wait to see the reaction to the latest in-game update. The wait is over now though, and we have fresh info on the two new classes coming soon to Lost Ark: the Glaivier and Destroyer. The two new classes will arrive separately, with one in April and the other in May. The first new class we'll get in Lost Ark is Glaivier, which is a new Martial Artist class. The Glaivier "slices and dices her way through the battlefield, weaving together attacks with her spear in glaive." This class will also have two skill sets, Focus and Flurry, each set represented by one of two weapons. The other Martial Artist Classes are the Wardancer, Soulfist, Striker, and Scrapper, making Glaivier the fifth class.   In May, the new Warrio...
