Which is my way of explaining why I'm writing about the surprise announcement that EA is making its first Lord of the Rings

Duke Nukem Forever began development in 1997 and was supposed to be out in 1998. It wasn't released until 2011, and when it did, it fucking sucked. But what if the game had come out in 2001, like it was at one point supposed to?

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a bit of a weird one. Originally conceived as a Kickstarter stretch goal for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the next JRPG from Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama, this smaller, more action-focused RPG has become both an official prequel to Hundred Heroes and a kind of intermediate stop-gap designed to tide players over until the main event next year. Focusing on the back stories of just a handful of the titular hundred you'll be meeting in Rabbit & Bear Studios' spiritual successor to Suikoden (the first of which memorably had a whopping 108 recruitable party members), Rising has the air of almost required reading for players eager to return to the lavish, retro worlds Murayama built his name on.

Intel Arc Gpu Alchemist Graphics Cards Delay Release 2022 SummerThe Intel Arc launch saga continues, with the latest delay murmurs stemming from Igor's Lab. According to sources which spoke to the German outlet, the release dates for desktop graphics cards of the Intel Arc Alchemist graphics cards lineup could delay into late summer. The window is quite wide, noting anywhere "from July 1, 2022 to August 31, 2022." Although still technically in Q2, which Intel noted as the official release quarter for desktop Arc graphics cards, it's not great news when looking at the bigger picture. This shift would put the launch uncomfortably close to the expected September announcements for next-generation graphics cards from AMD and Nvidia.   There are a lot of reports and rumors swirling about the ongoing delays for Intel Arc graphics cards. The general consensus by Igor is that the software — primarily the drivers — is not ready for primetime. Hardware has never been in question for Arc, as it sounds that Intel has som...
