Developed by Big Bad Wolf and published by Nacon, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is a narrative-driven RPG built within the Vampire: The Masquerade world, in the wider universe of the World of Darkness IP.      Warzone XP farm discovered in King Kong's testicles

Judging from the ads that run in popular podcasts, it seems clear that personal grooming is something we all need to be more diligent about. That goes at least double for King Kong, who's been tearing it up with Godzilla during Call of Duty: Warzone's Operation Monarch. Fortunately, a brave player has worked out how to do some necessary pruning on Kong's family jewels - and earn a big pile of Warzone XP for the battle royale game to boot.

Redditor Mundoschristmas posted a video of the stunt to the Warzone subreddit. The clip shows King Kong's large, hairy legs, with an attack helicopter cautiously hovering between them. The chopper's rotor blades are wide enough to just graze Kong's inner thighs, and each time one makes contact, the pilot earns more Warzone XP.

As Charlie Intel notes, getting into this position with your flying trimmer is no mean feat. King Kong is rather famously annoyed by aircraft, and in Warzone, he's usually pretty quick about batting them out of the sky. Considering what's just happened, it's hard to blame him.

Destiny 2 weekly reset times – all current activities

Want to know when the Destiny 2 weekly reset times are? Since its launch in 2017, Destiny 2 has years of content to discover, so it can be quite a daunting feat to do everything in the popular FPS game. On top of the sheer number of story missions, raids, and dungeons, some of the content changes every week. If you want all of the best loot, you need to keep track of every change.

The only exception to the regular Destiny 2 weekly reset times is with the Trials of Osiris pinnacle PvP challenge, which has its own schedule. You can find out more about those Destiny 2 trials rewards by following the link.

Thankfully, all of the changes that occur during the weekly reset happen on a cycle, so you can always plan ahead to get a top tier weapon, or farm items in a particular raid or dungeon. Some of the content requires at least one of the many Destiny 2 expansions, but there's still relevant stuff even if you are playing the base version, one of the best PC free games out there.

Stardew Valley meets Studio Ghibli in Spirittea this summer

The last time we heard from Spirittea was two years ago when it was in the middle of a Kickstarter campaign, and now it's finally close to release. It's a life game in the style of Stardew Valley with a big Studio Ghibli influence, particularly the otherworldly shenanigans of Spirited Away - and it's aiming for a summer release.

The player takes on the role of a writer who's escaped to the countryside, but an encounter with a magic teapot turns Spirittea into a ghost game. From then on, it's about doing Stardew-like hobbies and chores while also doing favours for spirits to help save them, as instructed by a cat spirit called Wonyan.

It all looks rather delightful and should keep ghost-loving Stardew Valley fans happy while they wait for Haunted Chocolatier. Similar to that game, Spirittea has elements of a management game in the mix too, with players also having to look after a bathhouse where the spooky citizens go to relax. Yes, you're playing the role of Yubaba in this game, so try to be a bit nicer about it.

Oculus Quest 2 add-on looks like Metal Gear Solid cosplay

There are numerous Oculus Quest 2 add-ons you can find in the market today that promise to enhance your VR experiences, from 4D Skyrim scented candles to $20,000 VR boots, but none that actually take your breath away. This could be set to change with the advent of a device that makes you look like a certain gas mask toting Metal Gear Solid character.

Researchers at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences  have crafted the 'AirRes Mask' for VR headsets like the Oculus Quest 2, which "precisely and robustly measures a user's breathing" to repurpose as an input method (via ExtremeTech). Demonstrating the functionality, Psycho Mantis the test subject blows into a harmonica, holds their breath to stabilise a gun, and blows out candles on a birthday cake. So far, so novel.

However, the resistance valve within the AirRes Mask also allows developers to "communicate the condition of a user's virtual avatar or the effect of environmental conditions, such as smoke," meaning it can effectively simulate suffocation, or shortness of breath.

League of Legends patch 12.10 notes – High Noon skins, durability buff

The League of Legends patch 12.10 notes are starting to launch on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) for all to see. While LoL patch 12.9 is live, thanks to the new update we already have an idea of what Riot Games is bringing to its popular MOBA game next.

First off, the biggest thing coming in LoL update 12.10 is a load more High Noon skins for various Champions. Patch 12.9 added some of these snappy new skins for the likes of Katarina, Leona, and more, and now 12.10 brings in five new ones, including Samira, Sion, and Twitch.

As previously announced, 12.10 also buffs the durability of every single champion, as part of Riot's goal to "slow the pace" of the game's combat so damage isn't so much of a focus. To that end, base health, health per level, armour per level, and magic resistance per level have all been increased across the board - so matches might not be over so quickly now.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 release date speculation

Epic Games confirmed the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 release date at the start of the current season. Unfortunately, we don't know the story details for the battle royale game's new season, but right now, there's a war between the Seven and the Imagined Order, set to conclude in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 end event.

No matter who wins this final battle, the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 release date will be upon us as the dust settles. So what can players expect? It's highly likely that the Collider, the enormous spire in the centre of the map, may change everything as we know it. We also reckon that the appearance of Sideways weapons, last seen at the end of Chapter 2, indicates that the Cube Queen is somehow still involved.

There are certainly more questions at this time than answers. Will Tilted Towers get rebuilt or eradicated? Was there a deeper meaning behind the secret Klombo snow mounds and Klombo sand mounds? And perhaps the most important question on fans' minds: will No Build mode become a permanent game mode after Chapter 3 Season 2? Of course, all will become clear when Fortnite Season 3 begins, but for now, here's everything we've managed to dig up about the new season.

Nvidia RTX 4000 who? The GeForce GTX 1630 may be on its way

As the GPU shortage finally comes to an end, the prospect of picking up a top-of-the-line RTX 4000 graphics card at MSRP in the coming months looks promising. However, it's beginning to look like Nvidia may surprise us all with the launch of a new budget-oriented GeForce GTX GPU in the near future.

According to sources close to Videocardz, Nvidia may be working on a GeForce GTX 1630 in alongside its upcoming RTX 4000 series. Not much is known about the card's specs, but it will supposedly replace the GTX 1050 Ti and likely cost less than $150 (the current price for the GTX 1650).

Given how cheap the GTX 1630 should be, it could be the best graphics card for anyone looking to build their first gaming PC or act as a prime candidate for those with extremely tight budgets. For now, we'll just have to keep our ear to the ground for when Nvidia officially announces this petite pixel pusher.

Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong review – fangs for the memories

Our Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong review starts with the titular 'Masquerade' - vampire society's characteristically elegant term for the secret of their existence - under threat. Prince Hazel of Boston's ruling Camarilla sect has just put out a code red following an attack on her kin at a party uptown, which makes clear that someone wants to disturb the status quo. Is it the Anarchs, a sect of vampires who refuse to live by the civilised Camarilla's code? Some internal skullduggery? A rival organisation?

Bram Stoker's vision of the vampire was that of a lone lothario, a creaking but impeccably mannered figure in ruffled collar and cuffs. Count Dracula thinks only of fine taffeta, new pick-up lines, and the comely young women of high society, and he'd last maybe 20 minutes in this game before the Camarilla Prince put a hit out on him.

The vampires of Vampire: The Masquerade are more like an undead illuminati: cold and calculating figures with fangs, yes, but also minds full of political machinations and manoeuvrings. They're pulling the strings of our society, keeping watch on everything we do, our environmental impact, our health. Because we're the walking blood bags they need for sustenance, and they need to preserve the Masquerade from us forever, lest we hunt them to extinction.

How to get leather in V Rising

Want to know how to make leather in V Rising? This new open-world vampire survival game is already off to an impressive start on Steam, and plenty of newcomers want to know the all important questions - such as how to make fancy leather pants.

In all seriousness, like most crafting games of this nature, your progression through the various tiers of item quality are gated behind quests or other obstacles, and V Rising leather is no different. Remember Valheim? While you don't have to go off and find a hulking frost giant to get your leather, you do sadly have to kill someone. Apparently only one person in this gothic fantasy land knows the secrets of suede…

As long as you follow the tutorial and complete all of the starting quests, you won't have much else to do to make leather in V Rising. The key thing is to make sure to construct the Blood Altar. This device lets you hunt down specific boss enemies that possess 'V blood', and it's something the tutorial naturally steers you towards. Once built, you're looking for one specific enemy to unlock the leather-clad utopia you so desire.

Best LMG Warzone Pacific: the best LMGs in Season 3

Looking for the best LMG in Warzone Pacific? Warzone LMGs are all too often overlooked when it comes to the best Warzone Pacific loadouts. It's not hard to see why, either. In general, they take just as long to down enemies as one of the best assault rifles in Warzone, and they have similar rates of fire and ranged effectiveness, too. However, unlike the game's most popular weapons, LMGs are very heavy and come with some of the worst aim down sight speeds, mobility, and 'gun ready' times in the game.

Those stats can make clearing out buildings, re-armouring, and switching weapons very difficult, and we've died countless times simply because we were stuck in the 'gun ready' animation. Thankfully, some of these issues can be fixed with the right attachments, making the best Warzone LMGs surprisingly competitive in the right scenario.

Since the time to kill speed changes in previous Warzone updates, LMGs have fallen out of favour compared to other guns. These weapons can still be viable in the right loadouts, so you should definitely give one of these monstrous weapons a try.

Vampire survival game V Rising hits over 46,000 Steam players

There's a new vampire survival game out on early access and the V Rising Steam player count is very promising indeed - in fact, it seems to be an immediate hit on Steam, as the peak for yesterday stood at more than 46,000 players.

There are a lot of great vampire games on PC and, if the initial player counts are anything to go by, V Rising could take a bite out of all of them and stake its claim to the list. The new game by Battlerite developer Stunlock Studios, V Rising is an isometric open-world game where players start as a weakened vampire and have to rise to become the next Dracula or Robert Pattinson.

It released yesterday, May 17, on Steam Early Access, and according to SteamDB, the launch was a big success. The peak concurrent player count for the last 24 hours was a 46,593 players, and the game still has 32,457 players online right now as of the time of writing. Impressive, especially remembering it's still only in early access.

Overwatch 2 talents: all the new hero abilities

Overwatch 2 talents are among a wave of new features coming to Blizzard's team-based FPS game. This new ability system is part of Overwatch 2's Hero Missions, which sees you teaming up with your friends to dismantle some Omnics.

These missions are more focused on combat as opposed to Story Missions which concentrates on the lore. Each hero has a set of new abilities they can unlock over time if they level up. Tracer, for example, unlocks a talent that causes damage to enemies if she blinks through them - though you'll have to reach level ten to unlock that skill. It should be noted, however, that the Overwatch 2 talents are limited to Hero Missions and won't factor into PvP. Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan explains that the team wants the competitive experience to be a level playing field rather than a case of "my Tracer is better than yours."

The Overwatch 2 release date is still some ways away - so these talents may change. There are also a few talents that we don't know of yet, though we'll update this guide when we find more. Now that's out the way, here are the Overwatch 2 talents.

Warframe dev 'Soulframe' trademark may hint at a new project

Does Warframe developer Digital Extremes have a mysterious new project in development? A new Soulframe trademark doesn't leave any clues but could point to an upcoming game from the veteran shooter development - possibly even along the same lines as its popular multiplayer game.

As spotted on Reddit (via Gematsu), last week Warframe studio Digital Extremes applied for a trademark in Europe for "Soulframe". You can check the trademark page at the European Union Intellectual Property Office for yourself. There's not much to go on, but it does seem to confirm Soulframe - whatever it is - as "computer game software".

A quick check of Digital Extremes' other trademarks on the EUIPO site shows that the studio isn't one to trademark things lightly. Out of the nine trademarks it has, all of them are for the developer's previously released games - from the likes of Warframe and Dark Sector to mobile games like Survived By and the cancelled The Amazing Eternals.

Alienware AW3423DW review – The ultimate HDR OLED gaming monitor

I've been waiting a long, long time for a gaming monitor like the Alienware AW3423DW to arrive on the market. For several years now, even the very best PC screens have left me wanting with their dime-a-dozen IPS and VA panels, while all I wanted was an LG OLED in a size suitable for my desk. Now, after having spent just over a month with this ultrawide QD-OLED display, I can happily report that the future of gaming monitors looks bright, very bright.

Before I dive into what makes the QD-OLED panel inside the AW3423DW such a gamer changer, let's take a moment to talk about its design and other general features. Assembling the monitor is a toolless and fairly straightforward affair, requiring you to combine its big boomerang-style feet with its surprisingly heavy stand, before slotting on the display.

While putting it together was easy, shifting the AW3423DW from its box to my desk was a touch more difficult. Its 10kg weight doesn't sound like much of a problem, but the 34-inch ultrawide panel is 7kg itself, meaning it can feel unwieldy to handle. This isn't an issue once you've got it where you want it, but it's certainly worth keeping this in mind and exercising an extra degree of caution when moving the monitor.

The best Stoner 63 Warzone Pacific loadout

Looking for the best Stoner 63 loadout in Warzone? Running out of bullets is a common problem in this battle royale game, but not for the Stoner 63. If you're looking for a reliable LMG to use in Warzone Pacific, the Stoner 63 might be your best shot.

Assault rifle and SMG users will know the pain of having to reload your gun in the middle of a fight. No matter how fast your reload speed is on a weapon like the FFAR 1 or the Mac-10, there's always the danger of being caught out while switching your magazines. This problem almost never happens with the best Stoner 63 loadout thanks to its huge magazines, storing over 100 bullets to ensure you can fight off numerous enemies at any given time.

That said, the stock Stoner 63 has a few issues you should keep in mind, such as heavy recoil and surprisingly small magazines. However, if you choose the right attachments for this LMG, you should have no problems handling the recoil and you won't need to worry about reloading until after you've taken out an entire squad.

     Best gaming monitor in 2022

The best gaming monitor might offer a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time at 1080p for a great price, or it might boast 4K resolution in an ultrawide format. There isn't a 'one size fits all' when it comes to monitors. Which genre of game you play the most, and what you really value in a screen, makes a massive difference. But a good monitor, just like the best gaming chair, has an incredibly long lifespan compared to many other components and peripherals, making it a great investment for your gaming PC setup.

There are serious questions you need to ask yourself first to narrow down your selection. Do you favour image quality over lightning-fast pixel response? Do you need Nvidia's G-Sync or AMD's FreeSync? Does it even matter now that Nvidia supports FreeSync?

Are you into the pro-gaming, competitive esports world and crave the super-high monitor refresh rates of TN tech rather than a quality panel? Do you want a traditional 16:9 screen or have you been seduced by the ultra widescreen beauty of a 21:9 aspect ratio? Do you need a monitor so wide you can almost see those Fortnite enemies standing behind you? Or does it absolutely, positively have to be the best 4K gaming monitor so you can spot each individual blade of grass in The Witcher 3? And, finally, how convinced are you by the prospect of high dynamic range gaming?

Last time, you decided that little inconsequential choices are better than controlling a turret. I am pleased that quite a few people did actually pick turrets. But this week, in the name of experimentation, I'm trying an approach that seems frankly inefficient. What if we... picked between two similar things? While I can't imagine many will think this good, let's give it a go, for science. Tell me, what's better: random critical hits, or controlled critical hits?

Time travel stories can have pretty high stakes, because usually you only travel in time when you really need to change something. A killer robot is trying to kill a lady because of something her son will eventually do, that kind of thing. My favourite episodes of Doctor Who, by contrast, were always the ones where the Doctor met a miserable dog-alien thousands of years in the future, and the dog alien is like "Not only is the planet about to blow, but my marriage is in trouble," and then the episode was mostly about the latter issue rather than the former. This is all by way of introduction to Eternal Threads, a puzzle game where you go back in time to stop everyone in a house share dying in a fire.

To save a present that has been rendered apocalyptic by time travel itself, you are part of a team who go back and change tiny things in the past to fix it, in this case 2015. While it is imperative for some reason that the fire does indeed happen, it is just as important that all six occupants live. You can alter small decisions they make in the week running up to the fire, and so save their lives by choosing whether they go to the pub, if they comfort each other in times of need, or what they have arguments about. The beat of a butterfly's wing, indeed.

It's been about eight months since I first had a hands-off sneak peek at the new and about-to-be-rebooted Saints Row, and six since we've heard it was being delayed to August this year. With its late summer release fast approaching, Volition recently showed off a larger chunk of some actual gameplay to press in another remote preview session. It looks almost exactly like what you'd expect it to look like: a fun open world game where you shoot people and smash cars into other cars.

Barring any catastrophic eventualities where this game actually ends up being just a load of bugs propping up other bugs in a fluorescent trenchcoat, I feel almost 100% confident in saying to you that this will be an enjoyable product when it comes out. But I also should be honest and say that the gameplay I saw has congealed into the same kind of sticky morass and blurred whirling lights in my memory as my first all-night benders. It's a big collage of colours and explosions, and words like "cops", "switch car" and "plan", leaving a general impression of fun but, so far, few specifics in its wake. And to be even more frank about it all, I can't think of a nailed on reason why any of it has to be a Saints Row game.

3D gaming is… well, if not dead, then at best being kept in an iron lung by a teensy niche of enthusiasts. However, Acer will be making another attempt to take it semi-mainstream when it releases the Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition gaming laptop in September 2022. Its 15.6 screen, powered by an RTX 3080 and Intel Core i9-12900H CPU, promises both standard 2D at 4K and glasses-free stereoscopic 3D-o-vision. A bit like the Nintendo 3DS, only much more powerful, higher-res, and costing $3400 / €3299.

From the 90s onwards, movies taught me that vampires spend all their time eating and having sex with people (often concurrently). Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong has taught me that they actually spend most of their time walking around looking at things, sometimes stopping to have tense conversations or pick up keycards. There is occasional eating.

This is probably because the three vampires you play as in Swansong aren't exactly on their down-time. Set in Boston in 2019, you begin in medias res after a sudden violent attack on a party has left the Boston vampire court reeling. The Prince, an Annie Lennox cosplayer called Hazel Iverson, has called three of her most trusted lieutenants in to firstly check on the immediate aftermath, and thereafter investigate the wider fallout and strike against whodunnit. Since developers Big Bad Wolf are the folks behind The Council, the role you take isn't an action hero but different shades of spy and/or detective. Neither leaves you much time to loaf about being all sexy, though.

New Splatoon 3 Screenshots Show Octarian Enemies

There are some new Splatoon 3 screenshots, and they focus on showing Octarian enemies that will show up in-game. As with the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion, these will be a new variant. Like Sanitized Octarians, they look a bit different than usual. This time, their tentacles appear to be covered in hair. No Octolings appear in this look at foes.

The first two screenshots shows a number of different Splatoon 3 Octarian enemies. There are the basic Octotroopers again. These are perched on top of black, blue, and yellow vehicles that appear to hop around and have a means of shooting ink. One of them, on top of a black machine, is a Twintacle Octotrooper. In the upper left corner is an Octocopter. In the picture with multiple foes, there is a larger one with a weapon on its head looks like the newest take on the Octobomber. Octostamps also wear headphones now.
[gallery ids="927364,927365,927366" link="file"]

There also seem to be some Octarian enemies in the Splatoon 3 screenshots based on existing foes. There are also flying Octoballs that resemble disco balls. Finally, there are some new missile-like enemies. In the past, Octozepplin and Octomissiles showed up. These new enemies look like they have bomb elements, but they run on the ground rather than fly.

Persona 2 character merchandise at Persona 25th collaboration cafe

Atlus, Sega, and Genda GiGO Entertainment revealed details about the second wave of the Persona cafe that takes place in Tokyo and Osaka. The time-limited cafe and taiyaki stand will come back with new merchandise featuring characters from Persona 23, and 5 between late May and early July 2022.

Persona 2 fans will want to visit the cafe and taiyaki stand between May 28 and June 10, 2022. Purchases of any food and beverage made during this period will reward a random item decorated with a Persona 2 character. Persona 3-related items will replace them in the next segment on June 11-24, 2022. The final cafe segment, which runs from June 25 to July 10, 2022, will feature Persona 5 merchandise.

The first wave of the Persona cafe ran from February 12, 2022 to March 27, 2022. Like the upcoming second wave, it consisted of three different segments. The first one focused on the series' mainline title protagonists. The second and third segments featured merchandise from the first Persona and Persona 4, respectively.

The cafe collaboration is one of Atlus' numerous projects to celebrate Persona's 25th anniversary. The company is working with brands like Felissimo to produce merchandise based on the game series. It will also hold a festival in Saitama for the same duration as the cafes in Tokyo and Osaka. Atlus will wrap up the celebrations with a Super Live 2022 concert at Makuhari Messe in October 2022 and the final announcement in Fall 2022.

The Persona collaboration cafe's second wave will be available in Akihabara, Tokyo, and Namba, Osaka, from May 28 to July 10, 2022.

Final Fantasy VII 25th anniversary

While the English rebroadcast of the Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier game livestream won't appear until May 19, 2022, it showed up in Japan already and involved FFVII 25th anniversary news. Tetsuya Nomura confirmed announcements would appear in June 2022. [Thanks, aibo, Audrey, and Xenosaga on Resetera,]

This falls in line with other announcements Square Enix made concerning FFVII 25th anniversary game announcements and news. In January 2022, both Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase teased new projects and FFVII Remake part 2 news. That same month, an anniversary logo with Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth on it debuted. Since then, a fan art gallery appeared.

There are a few other FFVII games that should be getting releases and new updates alongside the 25th anniversary. Season 3 of FFVII The First Soldier is on the way. There also should be news about the FFVII Ever Crisis launch. That is the mobile game that will remake a number of past Compilation of FFVII projects. Those will all appear as games in the app. It will also mark the first worldwide release of the Turks prequel Before Crisis: FFVII.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. FFVII The First Soldier is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. More FFVII news about games and projects in honor of the 25th anniversary will appear in June 2022.

Hooked on You

Death's a beach, and you're dating a killer. Behaviour Interactive is developing a dating sim parody of its multiplayer murder game Dead By Daylight. Called Hooked on You: A Dead By Daylight Dating Sim, the game is coming out in Summer 2022.

Check out the Hooked on You trailer from the Dead By Daylight 6th Anniversary stream event below.

https://twitter.com/HookedByBHVR/status/1526635490497155074

The Hooked on You trailer shows off Dead By Daylight's cast of murderous killers enjoying fun in the sun while on a seaside getaway. Four of the game-original characters - The Trapper, The Wraith, The Huntress, and The Spirit, are seen in swimwear, ready to mingle.

According to the Hooked on You official site, the Dead By Daylight dating sim is a single-player experience set on Murderer's Island, where the player is tasked with getting to know the killers and striking the sparks of a relationship. Players will need to "choose the right words" to help them loosen up and deepen their relationship. Each killer will have multiple possible endings, including romantic, platonic, and even hostile outcomes. Considering how deadly the killers are under normal circumstances, a bad ending could be quite violent.

Hooked on You: A Dead By Daylight Dating Sim is coming in Summer of 2022 to PC via Steam. Behaviour Interactive has not confirmed a release window more specific than Summer 2022. The core Dead by Daylight game is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. It's running an Attack on Titan and Resident Evil crossover.

fate/grand order constantine

Ahead of the release of Lostbelt 6.5 in Fate/Grand Order, Constantine XI is available as an SSR Servant. He is in the game as a Rider class and has a support-oriented kit. He will be in the gacha until June 8, 2022. Constantine XI will not appear in the Story Summon gacha after this banner ends.

In history, Constantine XI was the last Byzantine emperor, who died during the Fall of Constantinople. In Fate/Grand Order, Constantine is the poster Servant for Lostbelt 6.5, Traum. Shinichiro Kamio provides his voice. Kamio previously appeared as Busujima in Hypnosis Mic, Sonju in The Promised Neverland, and Katai in Komi Can't Communicate.

His skills generally focus on buffing the party's attack or increasing his own NP gauge. In particular, his skills and Noble Phantasm tend to provide extra bonus buffs to Servants with the Roman Trait. Constantine's Noble Phantasm, Theodosius Constantinos, increases his own Buster performance, as well as grants him a one-time Invincibility status for one turn. It also greatly increases the entire party's Defense, as well as gives the Reduce Damage Taken status for Servants with the Roman trait.

You can watch Constantine's Noble Phantasm here:

Fate/Grand Order is available on iOS and Android devices worldwide. Constantine is only available in the Japanese version. He will be available in the game until June 8, 2022.

Dead by Daylight Resident Evil

Multiplayer survival horror game Dead By Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive continued its run of crossover announcements by partnering once more with one of the original survivor horror franchises: Resident Evil. The new Dead By Daylight x Resident Evil crossover is code-named "Project W" and will contain new playable characters for use in the game.

Check out the teaser trailer for the announcement below.

https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1526646323428171778

The teaser shows a survivor attempting to escape into a rainy alley, only to be accosted by an unseen killer or monster. She's then thrown against a burning police car, followed by the Dead By Daylight x Resident Evil: Project W logo.

Project W isn't the first time Resident Evil and Dead By Daylight have come together. 2021 saw Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, and the Nemesis added to the playable roster. While it's almost certain that more Resident Evil characters and items will be added to the game's roster this time around, exactly who will join is unconfirmed. The "W" in the title suggests that longtime RE villain Albert Wesker may be the subject of the add-on, and possibly Ada Wong as well. Their names, at least, have a "W" in them.

Dead By Daylight is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile devices. A cosmetic-only crossover with Attack on Titan is also planned.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak - Insect Glaive

The second wave of Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak weapon videos has appeared on the franchise's YouTube channel. Capcom has published new videos featuring the Great Sword, Hammer, and Insect Glaive.

The Great Sword will feature a new Strongarm Stance where the Hunter uses Ironsilk to fend off monster attacks temporarily. This move will have the same input as Hunting Edge. Great Sword users will also be able to use Switch Skill Swap to alternate between Charged and Surge Slash Combo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imxWwkkigSE

The Hammer will have Impact Burst as an alternative Silkbind Attack to Impact Crater. The weapon's charged attacks will gain an additional shockwave that contributes to flinching enemy monsters. It will also have Spinning Bludgeon: Charge as a Switch Skill alternative to the Silkbind version.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rog2ioutl9U

Insect Glaive users will receive a new alternative for their Kinsect controls in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. Instead of recalling the companion, they can throw it to launch an Awakened Kinsect Attack. Another Switch Skill Swap option will allow them to trade the Jumping Advancing Slash with a version that attaches the Kinsect onto the weapon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJBVUHZwOTk

Capcom started publishing individual weapon videos for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak on May 16, 2022. Sword & Shield, Switch Axe, and Heavy Bowgun were the first three weapons shown, with their videos released on that day. The company will eventually publish videos for all fourteen weapon types in the game.

Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak will release for Nintendo Switch and PC on June 30, 2022.

kirby tomica

Dream Tomica No. 168 from Takara Tomy will feature Kirby and his Warp Star. It is not to be confused with Dream Tomica 168 Initial D FC3S RX-7. The Kirby Tomica will cost 770 JPY (approximately $5.95) and it will come out in July 2022. It does not appear to be part of the ongoing Kirby 30th anniversary campaign. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

The Kirby Tomica is in the shape of a Warp Star, with Kirby riding atop it. It also has an Invincible Candy-shaped steering wheel. While Tomica cars usually look like ones that you could conceivably ride in real life, the Kirby Tomica would be rather difficult. It does not appear to have a nook for the driver to sit in. Kirby also throws driving safety out the window, as he rides the Warp Star without a helmet or seatbelt. Other intellectual properties Takara Tomy has released Tomica toys for include Sanrio, Demon Slayer, and Rilakkuma.

As mentioned earlier, this Tomica does not appear to be part of the Kirby 30th anniversary. Items that are part of the celebration include necklaces from U-Treasure, an Ichiban Kuji lineup, and a palm-sized lamp.

The Kirby Tomica will come out in July 2022 in Japan. Those living overseas can purchase it through proxy services or in select hobby stores.

Nihon Falcom Nintendo Switch Retro Title

President of Nihon Falcom Toshihiro Kondo revealed the company's interest in releasing "retro" titles for the Nintendo Switch. This information was shared through an interview, which also mentioned why Kondo was particularly drawn to the idea of Nintendo Switch releases. He also reveals that there are potential plans to release more titles outside of The Legend of Natuya: Ad Astra for the Switch. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

When asked about his interest in releasing titles for the Nintendo Switch, Kondo had this to say:

The Nintendo Switch is a console that is very familiar to me, as my children often play it. Additionally, there is a wide range of people from various age groups because of the convenience of it being a handheld console. Once we had released titles on the PSP, we had a wider variety of different age groups playing our games, and we expect releasing titles on the Nintendo Switch will have the same effect.

However, on the issue of releasing "retro" Nihon Falcom titles for the Switch, Kondo states that these titles will potentially appear as downloads. The reason for this is that releasing these titles as physical versions is more difficult.

When asked about Nihon Falcom titles outside of the announced The Legend of Natuya: Ad Astra appearing on the Nintendo Switch, Kondo states that there is already a plan in mind. However, he can't provide details just yet and will share more information about this in the future.

ffxi shutting down

Final Fantasy XI is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. While rumors have circulated about the MMORPG's future, director Yoji Fujito revealed that FFXI won't be shutting down "anytime soon." Additionally, the director talked about the upcoming Prime Weapon, and the article includes various interviews with past and current staff. [Thanks, ryokutya!]

The interview comes from this week's issue of Famitsu, releasing on May 19, 2022. The issue's main cover celebrates the MMORPG's 20th anniversary, and the special feature includes interviews with the current director and producer, as well as past collaborators like Hiromichi Tanaka. The special feature also provides a timeline starting from the game's launch and talks briefly about FFXI's future.

Notably, Fujito reportedly addresses concerns that the game may shut down sometime in 2022. "Due to past comments, there may be some people who are worried that the game will be shutting down in 2022," Fujito stated, "but I don't think you will have to be concerned about that happening anytime soon." Similarly, producer Akihiko Matsui mentioned that all of the higher-ups at the company are telling the team to "continue doing FFXI."

On the topic of the upcoming Prime Weapons, Fujito revealed that users will be able to obtain them. Specifically, players will be able to obtain the weapons through the progression of the story. However, it's still unclear when the developers plan to add the Prime Weapons.

Dead by Daylight Scavengers killer survivor industrial areaThe Dead by Daylight developer has just acquired Midwinter Entertainment, the studio known for the 2021 free-to-play shooter Scavengers. In the same move, the console release of Midwinter's PvPvE game has been canceled. According to a press release, Midwinter Entertainment will officially join up with Behaviour Interactive on June 2.
