Even years after my last unalloyed school break, as soon as June hits, everything seems to go slower, softer. Daytime stretches into late, mirthful sunsets like it did when I was a kid at camp. But I've realized that these hot months no longer mark that idyllic time in childhood when it's okay to let my guard down.…

This custom Lego gaming PC almost looks official

The idea of a Lego rig isn't new, but a modder has gone the extra mile and created an ultra-compact gaming PC using the Swedish blocks. Dubbed 'The Cube', the creative build adds an array of colourful bricks to a Thermaltake Core V1 case, armed with one of AMD's best graphics cards and an AIO cooler.

Assembled by TheatreBoz, the custom Lego gaming PC doubles as a diorama, complete with a multicoloured aesthetic that almost looks like Minecraft biomes. Various Minifigures can also be spotted across the system's exterior, making the project feel almost like an official product. The blocky build even includes a Lego-themed external case screen, something that injects a bit of fun into monitoring the system's vitals.

As for the Lego gaming PC's specs, it's packing an AMD RX 6700 XT GPU, a Ryzen 5700X CPU, 32GB of RAM, and an Asus ROG Strix motherboard. There's also an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 120 AIO cooler keeping things chilly, which should help boost fps while combatting any overheating issues.

     How Starfield base building works

Starfield base building is one mechanic, among plenty others, that was confirmed as part of the 20-minute Starfield reveal at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022. The lengthy gameplay tour detailed a ton of features, from characters and cities to Starfield guns and exploration, but for the homebodies out there, the base building is the most appealing aspect.

With over 1,000 Starfield planets confirmed, the ability to set up shop on - presumably - any of them is a slightly daunting endeavour; that's a lot of Starfield base building to do. It's a clear evolution of the settlements system in Fallout 4, too - while there were designated locations to transform into fortified homesteads across the Commonwealth, Starfield looks set to follow in the footsteps of Fallout 76 by requiring you to place an Outpost Beacon before expanding your base around that.

There's plenty more to glean from the gameplay reveal though, so we've combed through the footage frame-by-frame to learn about everything to do with base building in Starfield.

Spider-Man Remastered mods are coming, here's Andrew Garfield

The long-awaited PC release of one of the best superhero games ever made was finally confirmed at the PlayStation State of Play event, and creators are already planning their Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered mods in advance - including the one movie suit that didn't make it, Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

While there are plenty of great games like Spider-Man on PC, the PS4 and PS5 exclusive Spider-Man game by Insomniac is one of the best open-world games around - it's certainly up there with the fantastic Batman: Arkham games in terms of a quality comic-book game experience, so it was deeply upsetting that Sony kept it confined to PlayStation.

Until now, of course, as Spider-Man Remastered swings to PC on August 12 - and modders are already planning for it. The release of God of War on PC allowed for many fantastic mods to happen, and creators are hoping and expecting Spider-Man to get a similar level of mod support.

The best horror games on PC in 2022

What are the best horror games on PC? Horror games tend to turn traditional action concepts on their heads and force you to run and hide from your enemies. Scary games leave you feeling vulnerable rather than empowered, and more than most, they are the gaming experiences that haunt you long after you play.

Of course, there is a lot more to the best horror games than jump scares and gore, too. So while we have included a few obvious picks like Outlast and Amnesia, you can also expect to find games that use different tactics to raise your heartbeat and get your palms sweating. Don't worry about this list getting out of date, either: we hop back into our lists regularly to add new scary games.

Remember, as Roosevelt once said, "we have nothing to fear but that bit in FEAR where you're going up a ladder and Alma suddenly pops out and you are all like argh!" Here are the best horror games on PC you can play right now... if you dare.

The best zombie games on PC 2022

What are the best zombie games on PC in 2022? You can hardly take a step on Steam without zombie games clutching at your ankle, so it's a valid question. Don't dismiss the entire genre just because there are tons of brainless clones, though - below we have collected some of the best zombie games to shuffle their way onto PC.

Zombie games range from simulation-style management games, to co-op games that are more Lovecraftian period pieces, and if you like, you can even take a shambling detour through tower defense games and post-apocalypse parkour. Popular culture's fascination with the undead has given us a lot of gifts - and a lot of memes - so it's important you get your bearings and learn what's what.

This list of zombie games has everything an undead enthusiast could ask for. We have the harrowing moral quandaries posed by The Walking Dead, the high-octane FPS action of Call of Duty, and the traumatising horror of Resident Evil. Whatever state of decay your taste is in, these are the best zombie games on PC and no, we will not be taking any questions at this time.

This Skyrim mod is basically Hogwarts Legacy

We're still a way off from the Hogwarts Legacy release date, and if you can't stand the wait, this Skyrim mod recreates the feel of the upcoming Harry Potter RPG game in an entirely different open-world game - or at least, the magical combat system.

One of the most impressive parts of the recent Hogwarts Legacy gameplay showcase was the fighting system, where players quickly duel with wands and zap off spells with flicks of the wrist. It looks a lot of fun, so it's a shame the game isn't out until late 2022. Luckily, modders are here to help. Elden Ring recently got a Harry Potter mod, but this upcoming one for Skyrim could have it beat.

'Hogwarts in Skyrim' by creator Smooth uses the ADXP/MCO mod as a base for smooth third-person combat, and then adds various combat moves inspired by the Hogwarts Legacy trailers - including wand attacks such as stupefy and glascius (freeze), a teleport-dodge, and some ridiculous 'ultimate' abilities like a big lightning storm.

     Fortnite Grapple Glove locations

Want to know all the Fortnite Grapple Glove locations? We're only into the second week of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, and already we're getting new gadgets. The Grapple Gloves are functionally the same as the Spider-Man Web Shooters from Chapter 3 Season 1, but with some minor cosmetic differences.

You can find a Fortnite Grapple Glove set in consistent locations across the Fortnite map, in this case, shacks with purple chests inside. And you'll need to find them eventually, because there's an upcoming challenge that requires the use of the Grapple Gloves to complete it. You'll need to find a pair of these powerful gloves, equip them, and then swing for a total of 50 metres.

Each Grapple Glove you collect has 30 shots in standard games, though you only get 10 in competitive modes. In case you run out of charge, the popular battle royale game has other options to increase your mobility, not counting the fact you can still sprint and vault around, of course. The Fortnite Baller vehicles in Rave Cave work very similarly to the Grapple Gloves, and you can also ride Fortnite animals for as long as they'll bear your weight.

AMD RDNA 3 GPUs may show up in October to battle RTX 4000

AMD RDNA 3 GPUs could show up to challenge Nvidia later this year, as the rumour mill points towards an October release. The news follows reports of a slight RTX 4000 delay, pushing the green team's next-gen ETA back a month. In other words, both best graphics card contenders might enter the gaming PC ring at roughly the same time.

According to hardware leaker Greymon55, AMD RDNA 3 GPUs will launch in "late October, no later than mid-November." The insider also reveals that the red team's Ryzen 7000 CPUs may launch slightly earlier than their graphics counterparts, which suggests a September release.

As with all release date rumours, it's best to take these RDNA 3 whispers with a grain of salt. That said, Greymon55 claims the information is both new and reliable, so we may very well see AMD's Radeon RX 7900 XT fight it out against Nvidia's RTX 4090 and top-end Intel Arc Alchemist card in a spectacular graphics card royal rumble.

Resident Evil upgrades can't be reversed and fans aren't happy

As revealed at the Capcom Showcase, current-gen Resident Evil upgrade patches for three of the best horror games on PC - Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 Biohazard - have rolled out on Steam. However, a number of fans are upset, as these next-gen Resident Evil updates force players into the new versions - and more, seem to break mods and lighting.

Capcom has released PC graphical upgrades for three of its most recent Resident Evil games, apart from Resident Evil Village, which will get its upgrade alongside a new DLC expansion in October. The first annoyance about the updates is that Capcom has raised the minimum specifications for all three games - Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7.

However, there are a number of details that fans are less than thrilled about. DirectX 12 is now enforced, so if you were barely running these games before, you'll especially struggle now - which also removes pre-Windows 10 PCs from support. In a number of cases, the new ray-traced lighting system is more accurate but may remove the spooky ambience of the previous pre-baked lighting.

Starfield planets – all known systems, moons, and worlds

So you want to know about Starfield planets? As you'll no doubt have seen from the recent Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Starfield has planets. Over 1,000 of them, to be precise, spread across over 100 star systems. On average, each system will have around ten celestial bodies for you to gawp at.

But these Starfield planets aren't simply there to be eye candy. Some are home worlds of the many Starfield factions, where you can visit their main headquarters in Starfield cities like New Atlantis, on the planet Jemison. But many other worlds are desolate places ripe for exploration, which is just as well as the sole concern of Constellation, one of the primary groups, is to push the frontiers of human understanding.

We now know you can build outposts in Starfield, hire characters to staff them, and harvest resources. It's likely then that every planet has at least one point of interest worth delving into or some valuable materials that are hard to find. After all, just because there's no settlement to visit, doesn't mean there isn't lost treasure waiting for someone to find. Enough speculation though - here's everything we know about Starfield planets so far.

Hidden Fallout 76 message claims Todd Howard is

Fallout 76 and Fallout 4, Bethesda's vast, open-world games, are teeming with secrets to uncover. There's no telling what kind of stupefying wonders you might encounter in the Wasteland – Deathclaws, Assaultrons, and now a secret message claiming that studio head and director of the upcoming Starfield, Todd Howard, is "amazing".

That's right. In both Fallout 76 and Fallout 4, if you can find a poster of the periodic table of elements, use a scoped weapon to zoom in, and then maybe squint your eyes a little, you can just about make out a lovingly worded dedication to Todd Howard and his videogame-making prowess. This is the message in full:

"Todd Howard is amazing in everything his hands touch – no kidding".

You can find this poster, and its hidden tribute, in a few locations. In Fallout 76, it's on the Nukashine, in the basement of Big Al's Tattoo Parlour in Morgantown. You can also find it in the Overseer's home in Sutton, and in Foundation, inside the trailer belonging to Ward.

     Starfield ship design primer

Want to know about Starfield ship design? One of the more surprising reveals to come out of the extended gameplay footage that aired during the Xbox and Bethesda showcase was that not only can you fly space ships, but you can customise and build your own vessels as well. We may not know the exact Starfield release date, but from the gameplay released so far we know (and can infer) a surprising amount regarding ship building.

Starfield ship design seems to use a highly visual editor, with a ship model rendered in 3D that allows you to 'snap' parts on and off depending on what you want. During the presentation, Todd Howard mentions that you can "completely customise the look and layout", and says that there are plenty of different types of modules from different manufacturers - all for a price, of course.

It's also implied you may need certain Starfield skills to be able to purchase or equip certain modules, so it's possible you'll need to specialise your character if you want to really kit your ship out with the latest bling. Even if you can't equip the parts you want, you'll at least be able to make it look pretty with different colour schemes and other cosmetic tweaks. Here's a guide to everything we know about Starfield ship design.

     The best PC DnD games

Are you looking for the best Dungeons and Dragons PC games? The mere mention of Dungeons & Dragons conjures up images of people excitedly unleashing a hail of dice onto a dining room table. From its appearance on Futurama to its inclusion in Netflix's horror series, Stranger Things, the seminal tabletop roleplaying game is arguably the most recognisable of all pen & paper RPGs.

DnD has also had a long-standing presence on PCs ever since Pool of Radiance in 1988. Since then, the '90s gave us some of the best RPGs ever, and more recently we've seen plenty of games that use variations on DnD rules as the base for their gameplay, but with a wholly original setting.

So gather your party and venture forth with us as we take a look at the best Dungeons and Dragons games on PC that you can play right now, from those that embrace the setting and characters to games that just use the rulebooks. As a side note, many of our recommendations are modern versions of classic games, but the older versions still work well, albeit without the various quality of life improvements.

The best single-player MMOs in 2022

Looking for the best single-player MMOs? There's a lot to like about MMOs: the humongous new worlds, the compulsive clicking, the levelling that never really ends. Everything but the people milling around in them, really. These are the best single-player MMOs to play if you want something massive and online without committing to the multiplayer part.

From MMOs like The Elder Scrolls Online which promises the atmosphere of Skyrim with an internet connection, to a galaxy far, far away where you can join the fight in one of the best Star Wars games, the best single-player MMOs take many different forms.

Here's a list of the loneliest MMOs out there, so even though they're full of hundreds, and thousands of players, you'll - probably - not have to interact with a single soul and can go about your time ignoring fellow players, or, if the game calls for it, taking them down. It's all the fun of a large shared digital world, without the need for having to interact with anyone - a win-win situation.

Exosuit up for dinosaur-stomping action in Exoprimal

Exoprimal has a bit of everything for action lovers - powerful Exosuits, team-based battles, and an unfathomable number of dinosaurs raining down from portals in the sky, all of whom are ready to hunt you down and cause a lot of trouble.

These dinosaurs are ferocious, focused, and do not fight among themselves - you and your companions are their only targets. And if they weren't dangerous enough on their own, your team of five will also be facing off against another squad, Both teams will be vying to complete objectives before their opponents in order to win the match. It's a good thing you'll be encased in an Exosuit that's capable of fending off wave after wave of raptors.

Being a team-focused game, you'll need to make sure that you're choosing a class that you're not only comfortable playing as, but also one that complements the rest of your team make-up. You have three main classes to choose from, but each class has a range of Exosuits to pick as well, so you won't be limited to just one way of approaching each challenge that you have to take on.

Get ready: the Exoprimal Closed Network Test is coming

It's time to Exosuit up and get ready to face off against an army of dinosaurs that are teleporting from the sky. Exoprimal's Closed Network Test is coming soon, allowing you to get your hands on the game and try out its 5v5 team-based battles for yourself.

The Closed Network Test will run during July, with sign-ups opening soon. The lucky ones who manage to get themselves access to the game will have the chance to try it out before anyone else, allowing them to unleash fury on relentless hordes of dinosaurs before the game's full release in 2023.

You'll be able to play as any of the game's three classes - Assault, Tank, and Support - and join up with a team of four other players in the Dino Survival mode. This mode has your squad battling against dinos to complete objectives set by an AI called Leviathan, who's tasked with assisting you on your mission. But be warned - there's another team also racing to complete objectives, and if they finish up before your team, then you lose.

The first Starfield bugs are turning heads – literally

Some things in life are inevitable, and Starfield bugs are right at the top of the list. Bethesda Softworks finally gave us what we've been waiting for during the Xbox Bethesda Games Showcase and presented several minutes' worth of Starfield gameplay. While we were digging into the backgrounds, planet names, and devotees of the jumping religion, one fan spotted something else: the first Starfield bug.

The first bug shows up roughly halfway through the gameplay reveal, as the camera pans out around what looks like one of the Constellation bases. If you blink you'll miss it. In fact, if you don't zoom in, you'll probably still miss it. The only indication something potentially awry is taking place is a slight shudder from the NPC model. Reddit user LotteryGamer took a closer look and saw what seems to be the NPC looking backward in the normal way, and then getting their head stuck while their body continues moving forward.

What makes this even better and gives it that usual Bethesda charm is the timing. Right as the NPC's head gets stuck in reverse, another character who's exiting the compound notices and just stares as the clip ends.

A few days ago I sat in on a presentation for Lightyear Frontier, a 3D farming and crafting game set on a remote planet at the edge of the galaxy. In fact in the presentation the game was referred to as a "farmadventure", which isn't a portmanteau and you only have to go another centimetere along to get farmventure, which is just about a portmanteau and, furthermore, is fun to say.

Developers Frame Break are keen to emphasise how chilled out Lightyear Frontier is: it's very peaceful, and there's no death (a "survival game without survival"). It's all about ecology and being one with nature. This does, at times, feel slightly at odds with the other eye-catching thing about Lightyear Frontier, which is a bloody massive tractor mech stomping about everywhere.

If you played Hypnospace Outlaw, there's a high chance you'll remember Zane "Zane_Rocks_14" Lofton. He's one of the more memorable characters you meet in Tendershoot's alternate reality web simulator, an angsty teenage boy whose home page is slathered in camouflage textures and GIFS of exploding handguns. Since release, Zane has become one of Hypnospace's de facto mascots, a beloved dweeb that is abrasive but also kind of painfully relatable? It's hard to laugh at Zane's baggy trousers and love for Linkin Park-esque rap-metal when you grew up in the mid-2000's. I mean, we all bought a dog lead from Wilkinson's and hooked it between the belt loops on our jeans at one point, right? …right?

Ahem. Anyway. Announced earlier this year alongside Dreamsettler (a proper sequel to Hypnospace), Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengance of the Slayer is an FPS spin-off that stars the fan-favourite teen. Slayers X is framed as being an in-universe project that Zane worked on as a teen, and has been uncovered by his now 37-year-old self, who is determined to finally see it released. There's a short demo available as part of Steam's most recent Next Fest, and I'm delighted to say it's exactly what I hoped it would be.

As far as I'm concerned, when the game can no longer process just how ridiculous my run is, I've beaten it and I win. Reader dear, I'm delighted to say I finally managed that in 20 Minutes Till Dawn. The DNF Duel Enchantress Trailer Shows Off Her Puppet

The Enchantress, another DNF Duel character, is making her debut ahead of the game's release. Arc System Works shared a trailer showing how the character fights in the game. It turns out she won't be alone, as the bear doll Madd will join her in battles.

In Dungeon Fighter Online, the Enchantress is a subclass of the Female Mage. She's known for her puppeteer skills and fighting with dolls. This trait returns for DNF Duel, as the Enchantress introduction even shows her carrying the bunny doll Happy and summoning Madd. Once the fight begins, she attacks by swinging a broom, casting spells, and using Happy and Madd to attack alongside her.

Here's the full video. We see the Enchantress come in, first. Then, she uses a number of her standard and special attacks. At the end, we see her celebrate her win against the Swift Master.

Now that DNF Duel's release date is drawing near, lots of additional cast members are appearing. In the last few weeks, the Launcher, Troubleshooter, and Swift Master all showed up.

DNF Duel will some to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on June 28, 2022. The last open beta for the game appeared back in April 2022.

One Piece Shanks Ship Red Force wooden ki-gu-mi puzzle

The ship owned by Shanks from One Piece will appear in the real world as a miniature wooden puzzle. Azone will sell a Wooden Art ki-gu-mi puzzle of the Red Force ship in mid-July 2022 in Japan. The set will be available at 4,950 yen (~$36.80).

The Red Force wooden puzzle will contain 187 pieces. They will come packaged in a set of runners. But unlike plastic model kits, the owner will be able to take off the parts by hand without any cutting tools. After setting all pieces, it will result in a miniaturized version of the Red Hair Pirates' ship with an overall length of 140mm (~5.5 inches).

Shanks' ship will join other One Piece ships that Azone had produced ki-gu-mi puzzles of. The existing series lineup includes the Going Merry, Thousand Sunny, Trafalgar Law's submarine, and the Spade Pirates' ship.

The Wooden Art ki-gu-mi puzzle of Red Force, Shanks' ship from One Piece, will be available in Japan in mid-July 2022.

grail front moonsault operation fate/grand order

The Japanese server of Fate/Grand Order will start a new Grail Front event, Moonsault Operation, from June 15 to June 29, 2022. Moonsault Operation will take place in SE.RA.PH, which is an artificial space within the Moon Cell. Players will need to have first finished the Final Singularity before they can access Moonsault Operation.

Grail Front events are different from normal ones in that they play like a board game of sorts. You and the enemy Master choose your Servants and Craft Essences and then place them on the special map. You then expend Movement Points to direct your Servants around the map, and when you encounter an enemy, you enter a battle. How many Servants are in the battle depends on how many Servants are in the neighboring nodes. You win if you eliminate all of the enemy's Servants, or if you eliminate the Master.

In total, there will be seven different maps that will release over the course of seven days. Each victory will garner you a Holy Grail Droplet and if you collect seven, you can turn it into a Holy Grail. Jinako will be the banner Servant, which implies that she will also be on pick-up in the gacha.

Fate/Grand Order is available on mobile devices, and the Moonsault Operation event will run on the Japanese server from June 15 to June 29, 2022.

one punch man movie

A live-action movie of the popular anime and manga series One-Punch Man is in development in Hollywood, and Justin Lin of the Fast and Furious movies will be the director. Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, who previously wrote for Venom, will collaborate once more in order to script the One-Punch Man movie. [Thanks, Deadline!]

News of a live-action One-Punch Man film first came out in 2020. However, at the time, we only knew the producers and the writers. Arad Productions (Venom, Iron Man) will produce the film. Lin had announced in April 2022 that he would step down as director for Fast X but would remain as a producer. This would be his next project after that. Though there is no confirmation that there will be more than one One-Punch Man film, Deadline repeatedly used the word 'franchise' for One-Punch Man. This implies that there may be more after this upcoming movie.

One-Punch Man started out as a webcomic by ONE, who also penned Mob Psycho 100. While Mob Psycho 100 remained a comic that ONE both drew and wrote for, Yusuke Murata became the illustrator for another version of the One-Punch Mancomic. It follows the story of Saitama, who is so powerful he wins all of his battles with a single punch. Because of this, he feels bored of his strength, though his life changes after he becomes the unwilling mentor to Genos, an android teenager.

The Hollywood live-action movie of One-Punch Man is in development.

AOC PD32M ReviewSay hello to the latest monitor from the joint effort of AOC and Porsche Design, the AOC Agon PD32M. The aim for this monitor is to meet almost every top-of-the-line spec a monitor can reach. From its screen size and resolution to its response time and construction, this is a monitor intended to tick every box. But, if you want it, it's going to cost a whopping $1,799 USD at MSRP. There's a lot to talk about, so let's jump right in to our review of AOC's Agon PD32M gaming monitor. The PD32M is a very expensive monitor, so much so that it makes it extremely difficult to recommend to the average consumer. However, the display brings a lot to the table in terms of visuals, gaming performance, and features. I've spent enough time with AOC's PD32M to find things that really impressed me and aspects that proved to be problematic.   First impressions and specs As soon as I unboxed AOC's PD32M for this review, its presence was undeniable. With a 31.5-inch...
