PCGamesN Saturday, June 18, 2022 6:05 PM  Valve may have already released "the best handheld around" as we coined it in our Steam Deck review, but the company is already hard at work putting together Steam Deck 2. This isn't too surprising given how many people are clearly interested in the Deck, with the amount of reservations already pushing the expected availability of the device all the way back to 'after Q2' of this year. Time will tell, however, how much of an upgrade it will offer and whether it can stand up to competitors like the Ayaneo Next. Gabe Newell, co-founder and president of Valve, nonchalantly confirmed the existence of Steam Deck 2 in an interview with Edge magazine, saying that the release of the company's handheld gaming PC would "help frame our thinking for Deck 2." Newell elaborated that the design of a new Deck would concern itself with capitalizing on "the capabilities that mobile gives us, above and beyond what you would get in a traditional desk or laptop gaming environment." Unfortunately, Valve is keeping the finer details of what it's cooking up in its Washington offices under strict lock and key. However, we do have some ideas of what to expect from the Steam Deck 2's specs compared to the company's current portable powerhouse. Honkai: Star Rail ended its second closed beta, and HoYoVerse released some numbers it gathered from the experience. It has done so in a similar vein with the Teyvat Times for Genshin Impact, which is another game from the company. This information mostly consists of statistics regarding the character most used, the most amount of damage dealt with a single attack, and the monster players defeated the most. According to the post, the highest damage from a single hit is 323,891, with Seele behind these numbers. Herta twirled a total of 3,482,448 times, and players hunted down Treasure Trotters the most. There is a body count of 42,357 Treasure Trotters from the closed beta. As far as parties go, the Honkai: Star Rail character players deployed the most was Dan Heng. However, HoYoVerse did not provide an exact number of people who used him. Finally, thus far, players lost their entire party 149,840 times. The full list of numbers is available on Hoyolab. Honkai: Star Rail is an upcoming addition to the Honkai franchise. It takes place in a similar sci-fi setting, though it will have different stories and new characters. Unlike Honkai Impact, which is the other game in the Honkai universe, it will feature a turn-based battle system. Development started in 2021. The true powerhouse of the Arataki Gang deserves playable status on her own, and HoYoverse is delivering the goods. Kuki Shinobu is set to release in the latter half of Genshin Impact's version 2.7 update, and there's a new trailer showing off some of Kuki Shinobu's skills. She keeps Arataki Itto in line, and she'll be a great asset to your party. Kuki Shinobu is a 4-star Electro character who will fill the unique niche of being the element's first healer. Electro characters lack the survivability that some other classes have, so Kuki Shinobu will fill in a welcome role for teams that utilize Electro characters like Fischl or Yae Miko.
