Diablo Immortal charms: how to upgrade, salvage, and sell

Not sure how to make the most of your Diablo Immortal charms? It's been quite some time since we last saw charms in Blizzard's long-standing RPG game series, though they're quite different from their debut in Diablo 2. In a nutshell, Diablo Immortal charms are equippable items that increase the potency of your skills. They're specifically designed for late-game gear progression. You can't even equip a charm until you're at least level 56, though in all likelihood several will have found their way into your inventory by that point.

Unlike most items you can equip in-game, Diablo Immortal charms don't come with class restrictions; you are free to equip whichever you like, regardless of their bonuses. Be sure to equip a charm that will prove useful to your character, both in terms of being compatible with your class, and with a bonus for a skill you actually use.

Charms take a great deal of time and materials to upgrade, so the optimal time to start investing in them would be once you're at Hell 1 difficulty or above. If you're a bit short of the Diablo Immortal leveling cap then it's best to prioritise kitting your character out with all the set items and Legendary gems you desire before turning your attention fully to charms.

You can now play Red Dead Redemption 2 using AMD FSR 2.0

Red Dead Redemption 2 now unofficially supports AMD FSR 2.0, thanks to the same mod that brought the upscaler to Cyberpunk 2077. The open-world game probably won't gain official support any time soon, but you can still use the red team's GPU tech using the third-party solution.

Available to download via Nexusmods, the Red Dead Redemption mod works by replacing the game's Nvidia DLSS library with AMD FSR 2.0 files (via Wccftech). Just like with Cyberpunk 2077, the graphics card tech isn't optimised for Rockstar's sandbox sequel, and it'll cost a few frames compared to its officially supported competitor. That said, the open-source nature of FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 means you can potentially boost fps and achieve sharper visuals on a variety of older GPUs.

Using AMD FSR 2.0 with Red Dead Redemption could smooth out the spaghetti western experience on your gaming PC, but online players should proceed with caution. The mod's creator warns that tinkering with files might result in a server ban, as is usually the case with Rockstar games.

The best Elden Ring armor sets

Are you searching for the best Elden Ring armor sets? In this RPG game, upgrading your armaments using Elden Ring smithing stones and Ashes of War is just as important as leveling up your character. Elden Ring armor, however, tends to be overlooked by comparison - many players spend several hours wearing the same equipment. Unlike in real life, however, not changing your clothes for days at a time is somewhat understandable in Elden Ring, as impressive gear is difficult to come by - particularly in comparison to other methods of upgrading your build, like Elden Ring talismans.

The best Elden Ring armor is far from useless, however. There are some armor sets out there which come with powerful abilities, though their usefulness largely depends on what type of character you're building towards. If you've got a fashion-conscious Tarnished, Elden Ring makes it difficult to find armor that is both protective and stylish, but it certainly can be done if you know where to look.

There are three ways to earn armor sets in Elden Ring: repeatedly kill the same enemies until they drop their entire set, kill a specific enemy to earn all of their items, or find the equipment in a hidden chest. Here's everything you need to know about the best Elden Ring armor sets, including where to find them and what bonuses they provide.

Anyone who's played one of Firaxis' XCOM games in the last ten years will have a story about missed shots. Shots that, even with a 90% chance of hitting their target, still end up going wide and punching a hole in your carefully laid plans. In the moment, they induce feelings of white hot injustice, but for many, they're an integral part of what makes XCOM, well, XCOM. Looking back on his time making XCOM 2, however, Firaxis' creative director Jake Solomon tells me that he, too, now feels the pain players have felt for close to a decade.

"It was really interesting for me to return back and play XCOM a couple of years ago, and man, when I missed shots, I was unbelievably frustrated. I felt the ghosts of everybody everywhere looking over my shoulder," he says.

After an FPS game that's not all about which assault rifle has the best vertical foregrip? Well, Snow War looks to fill that gap. As a modern revamp of an 18-year-old Half-Life mod by the same name, it's an FPS where bullets are spheres of snow and guns are human arms... and snowball-launching crossbows. Not to mention it's set in the 80's with a synthwave backing track. I'm sold.

Liam and I thought Overwatch 2's first PVP beta was fine! It was just hard to say just how much of that came down to the "2" in its title. We jumped back into its ongoing second beta, in the hopes that we'd finally wrap our heads around the game. Maybe we'd got it all wrong the first time around? It's the sequel to the biggest hero shooter out there! This time, this time we'd feel the "2" part come alive beneath our fingertips as we insta-locked Torbjorn on attack.

Dear reader, Liam and I emerged from our Overwatch 2 session having had a marvellous chat. We caught up on life, talked about Monster Hunter Rise, and how nice it is that the RPS Treehouse is complete again. Everything except Overwatch 2 itself was discussed... Which says it all, really.

FGO USA 5th Anniversary

Aniplex and Lasengle officially began 5th Anniversary celebrations for the English edition of Fate/Grand Order. As with other anniversary celebrations, the FGO USA 5th Anniversary brought with it a brand-new playable Servant. For players who had "read ahead" to anticipate developments based on the Japanese edition of FGO, this particular Servant was much-anticipated. She's a Caster-class variant of Fate franchise alum Altria Pendragon (nicknamed "Castoria", "Castria", and "Saber (Caster)").

Caster Altria arrived on the FGO USA 5th Anniversary limited summoning banner. She's widely hailed among FGO players familiar with her on the Japanese version as a extremely powerful, support-oriented Caster. In that sense, she does for Arts-elemental Servants what Skadi did for Quick-elemental ones and Merlin did for Buster mains. She goes a step further by charging the Noble Phantasm gauges of her allies and having a Noble Phantasm that raises an impenetrable defensive barrier around the party.

For those in search of a surer thing, the FGO USA 5th Anniversary also opened a one-time "Guaranteed SSR" paid summon. Available for 15 paid Saint Quartz (which have to be purchased from the store with money rather than saved up through in-game missions), players can make an 11-unit summon on one of five Guaranteed SSR banners. This year, the banner offerings are arranged by debut year, with all the limited-rarity Servants from a given yearlong period sorted into a single banner. For example, Servants like Edmond Dantes and Gilgamesh (Archer) are all clustered together on the banner for June 2017-July 2018. More recent Servants like Space Ishtar and Ruler Altria are on the July 2021-July 2022 banner. Summoning on a Guaranteed SSR banner guarantees that at least one of the results will be a limited-rarity 5-Star Servant from the banner. The banner also has a higher chance of dropping limited-rarity 4-Star Servants from a given year.

Fate/Grand Order is available on iOS and Android. The FGO USA 5th Anniversary event lasts until July 17, 2022.
