MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighter, a statement that might draw comparisons to Nintendo's original take on the genre, Smash Bros. But a good platform fighter will take the basic foundation established by Nintendo's popular franchise and use it to create something newish. MultiVersus accomplishes that…

It's not quite Steam, but the Nintendo Switch is full of free games.      If you can beat this horror game in two hours Steam gives you a refund

Horror games are often the victims of diminishing returns. Even the best videogame scares – the dogs through the window in Resident Evil, the rusty wheelchair death at the start of Silent Hill, the first Clicker in The Last of Us – lose their power once you've survived them once. But this is the first time that a horror game has directly acknowledged the genre's short lifespan, taking your attention span and turning it into a challenge – overcome your fear, beat the big evil in less than two hours, and Steam will give you your money back.

Red Dead Redemption 2 gets new single-player missions thanks to mod

Red Dead Online updates may be as finished and dead as the legendary bear Arthur Morgan uses as a hat, but the superb single-player experience of Red Dead Redemption 2 is still being kept alive, thanks to this ambitious mod which aims to build out Rockstar's western sandbox with new missions, characters, and cutscenes.

Life of Crime by CruelMasterMC is still a work in progress, but it already has a character creator, new heist and train robbery missions, and a fully realised introduction sequence which sees your customised cowperson break out of Siska Penitentiary, meet their contact, and embark on the eponymous life of crime.

The goal here is to diverge from the game's main Arthur Morgan/John Marston storyline, and drop the player into the role of a different, struggling ex-con, trying to survive on the plains of New Hanover. Thanks to some of CruelMasterMC's cutscene work, there are a few places where your anonymous gunslinger crosses paths with the Dutch van der Linde gang, but this is largely intended as a whole new single-player Red Dead experience.

Keep forgetting to record your best moments? Try a game capture app

Picture the scene. You're playing League of Legends, carrying your whole team from your position in the bot lane. An opportunity to strike comes in, and you take it. You dive under the enemy turret, unleash all your skills, and score yourself a double kill. Life is good.

But then, just as your sweet moves lead to your team taking the enemy Nexus, you realise you weren't recording. Disaster! You can tweet about your incredible play all you want, but people will never believe you unless you can provide video proof. Who can blame you for not turning a recorder on – how were you to know that this would be the greatest game of your life?

Luckily, there's a solution. Outplayed, an app available through Overwolf, handles all the recording for you, and it can be set up to just record your best moments. You won't have to worry about pressing a button to activate your recording, or having to sift through hours of footage to pull out a few seconds worth of highlights – Outplayed does all the work for you.

Next Valorant Night Market 2022 date speculation

So you want to know when the next Valorant Night Market is? For those who don't know, the Night Market is another way players can get weapon skins for their favourite Valorant guns outside of the usual bundles or offers. This is a bespoke set of offers on a random set of six weapon skins, so the discounts available will be unique to each player - but they only last a couple of weeks.

The Valorant Night Market will feature skins from select, deluxe, and premium collections that released at least two acts prior to the one the market opened in, and it won't feature skins from battle pass or agent contracts. Exclusive and ultra skins are also omitted. Here's everything you need to know about the Valorant Night Market.

Assigning these abilities to classes is to some degree speculative, as some of the talents could be gained from sources other than the new talent trees, but it's interesting nonetheless.      Diablo Immortal players just want to pet a dog

Much of the recent discussion around Diablo Immortal has focused on the RPG game's microtransactions, events schedule, and the newly-added class change feature. However, some Diablo Immortal players have a much simpler request to implement one feature that is glaringly absent from the multiplayer game: the ability to pet a dog.

Petting animals in games is big business nowadays, and many developers have implemented the ability to show some love to their game's furry friends in an attempt to capitalise on the trend. Now, a thread on the Diablo Immortal subreddit has asked the development team at Blizzard to "let us pet the dog!"

The dog in question can be found to one side of Rakkis Plaza in Westmarch, the game's main hub town. Located just next to market vendor Dya, the faithful mutt mostly just lounges around on the ground - though you can catch them standing up from time to time as you wander about town getting your business done.

Diablo Immortal-style loot boxes criticised for

Marvel Snap, the upcoming, superhero card duelling game from former Hearthstone director Ben Brode, is facing criticism from players during its closed beta period, owing to microtransactions and loot boxes which some fans say could end up "killing" the game.

Particularly contentious are Marvel Snap's newly launched "Nexus Events", whereby players can spend real money to purchase in-game gold, which is then exchanged for the opportunity to win powerful cards. Ten chances of claiming the cards, or ten "pulls", currently cost 1,800 gold – the minimum a player can buy is 300 gold for $4.99 USD, meaning that ten pulls costs precisely $29.94. The percentage chance of winning one of these cards, which in the first Nexus Event are designed after either Mighty Thor Jane Foster, or the archvillain Destroyer, according to figures published in game is 1.5%.

Riot outlines chroma policy, reverts Akali VFX changes

Fans logging onto the PBE to try out the new League of Legends Star Guardian Akali skin were delighted to see that, while it looks very nice, it also had a deeper interaction with chromas that they're used to seeing with these periodic releases. With each colourisation of the skin, the abilities had been changed to match, giving the entire line a much more cohesive look - and Akali mains a reason to purchase everything on offer.

It wasn't long after the PBE release of the skin that Riot developers took away the ability re-colour, setting all of the champion's projectiles and effects to the default purple. This was met with an extremely long, extremely negative, Reddit thread. Fans were confused and angry that Riot had seemingly chosen to take away a feature that was already there - in their eyes shoehorning 'ability VFX' into more premium chroma purchases.

     Fastest VPN for maximum performance

When seeking to protect your privacy on the internet, it is reasonable to ask the question 'Which is the fastest VPN?' After all, while VPNs can help you to speed up your connection speeds by stopping your internet service providers from limiting your bandwidth, that benefit is rather nullified if the VPN itself has particularly slow download speeds.

So which is the fastest VPN? Well, to answer that question, it's best to look at the download speeds of the major VPN providers. This can be most easily quantified in megabits per second (Mbit/s).

However, one problem that we face in determining the fastest VPN is that, by their very nature, VPNs use a huge number of different servers, and different servers can be faster or slower than one another. Two people using the same VPN provider, for example, might experience different connection speeds because one of them uses a server in Japan, while another uses a server in Argentina.

FIFA 23 Icons list and leaks

Want to know which players make up the FIFA 23 Icons list? Exclusive to Ultimate Team, Icons are the best players to have ever graced the sport. All Icons have four cards released throughout the game, each one representing a different period of the player's career. Ultimate Team has strict team-building rules to stop players from assembling any team, but Icons don't have any restrictions at all, being able to slot easily into any team. No matter who you pair them up with, as long as they're in the correct position, Icons will always be on a minimum of five chemistry.

EA is adding new players to the FIFA 23 Icons list this year, and we expect the same players from last year to feature too. There have been some great candidates for Icon cards that have retired in the last year or so, and there are a number of players from the '80s, '90s, and '00s that haven't joined the football game yet. Here are the players we believe could be coming to the FIFA 23 Icons roster later this year.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the re-release of WoW's beloved, second expansion from 2008, is already confirmed to be launching later this year, but now fans think they have found a precise date, owing to a supposed leak on Blizzard's official website.

As reported by WoWHead, on July 21 the Blizzard page for Wrath of the Lich King Classic was briefly updated, listing the expansion's re-release date as September 26. The page has apparently since been reverted to its previous state, removing the potentially leaked date, and now once again lists the Lich King as arriving (or rather, re-arriving) in "2022". The leaked date was also noticed by users on Reddit.

Diablo 4 beta spotted on Battle.net launcher

The Diablo 4 beta has been added to Blizzard's Battle.net launcher, as spotted by some rather eagle-eyed users. While it isn't currently visible on the launcher's front-end, new data in the catalogue configuration files shows that a beta test for the RPG game is being prepared to be surfaced on the launcher.

This isn't the first time that Diablo 4 has appeared in the Battle.net launcher's catalogue files, as there are already multiple references to 'Fenris' - the codename that Blizzard confirmed it had been using internally for the project in 2018. Some of these are also tied to Diablo 3. However, Wowhead confirms that this new data shows that the beta itself has now been added.

This latest news suggests that players might be able to get their hands on the fantasy game's beta in the near future - although it's quite likely that the initial rollout will be fairly limited. Typically, Blizzard tends to restrict its first rounds of testing to 'friends and family,' before moving to wider-reaching closed beta and then open beta tests.

Genshin Impact Handguards: Nobushi locations guide

Want to know where you can farm Handguards in Genshin Impact? The day has finally come, your favourite character's banner is live, but you're completely unprepared. Without any ascension materials, you won't be able to use your new character in your main party unless you spend several hours farming items.

Handguards are one of the ascension materials that characters and weapons from Inazuma need to reach their full potential. This ascension material is considerably harder to acquire than most as the items are dropped by just two enemies. Kairagi and Nobushi locations can only be found on Inazuma and Handgiards have a notoriously low drop rate, even on World Level 8. If you're planning on spending some primogems on an upcoming Genshin Impact banner, you may want to prepare some ascension materials beforehand for your future Inazuman character.

I like a building game that doesn't need constant babysitting. I also like one where you get to be a bit creative and build according to your whims as much as to necessity. The Final Earth 2 is an ant farm kind of game that places very few limits on what you can build where, and lets you cheaply restructure as needed even if you mess it up.

The idea is you build vertically, with each building taking up a block, and your people freely travelling through all of them to get to work or home or the pub. Everyone else who plays it seems to build enormous, elaborate, impressively well organised structures that are even kind of beautiful. I build a random pile of crap. I am absolutely rubbish at it.

It's kind of remarkable how little we really know about Nvidia's next gaming graphics cards, the RTX 40 series. AMD are openly working on next-gen, RDNA 3-based Radeon GPUs, and Intel are gearing up for the full launch of their Arc Alchemist cards before the end of summer – yet there's not been so much as a single presentation slide on Nvidia's wares. Not the kind of hype-building you'd expect, given how many of the current generation's best graphics cards have GeForce badges.

Arriving to fill that info void are, inevitably, leaks. If you don't regularly hang out in PC hardware circles, know that there's a veritable cottage industry of in-the-know insiders: anonymous but widely known tipsters like Greymon55 and kopite7kimi, who've shared enough accurate details on previous GPU and CPU launches that at least some of their sources are solid. Recently, unannounced Nvidia cards like the RTX 4070, RTX 4080 and especially the RTX 4090 have become this industry's hottest commodities, meaning leakers are also the primary source of GeForce details for the gaming tech world at large.

Inazuma Eleven Victory Road of Heroes

Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes has received a new name after news about its development went silent for a long time. Level-5 revamped its website and blog while revealing that it has renamed the new Inazuma Eleven game to Victory Road of Heroes. The name change also came with a large overhaul of the game's storyline.

While the green-haired Unmei Sasanami will still be the new game's protagonist, the revamped Story Mode will focus on depicting his own story. The main storyline will have Unmei gather members for a soccer club at a new school in Nagasaki with an all-new cast of characters. Level-5 will still retain the promised feature of recruiting characters from prior Inazuma Eleven entries, but players will do that in a separate Chronicle Mode.

Level-5 also promised more versatility in the new game's controls and displays. All platform versions will allow players to choose between horizontal and vertical play fields. Mobile devices and undocked Switches will also have a screen orientation option. The Nintendo Switch version will have the most versatile control scheme where players can utilize both the controller and touchscreen.

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road of Heroes will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, iOS, and Android mobile devices in Japan. Level-5 will publish more information about the title in Winter 2022.

It's time for some hell with Cell (and Frieza). Dragon Ball: The Breakers has a release date, and it's launching soon. A Tweet from the official account confirmed that Bandai Namco's open-map Saiyan survival simulator launches on October 14, 2022.

The announcement also confirmed the presence of universal ruler Lord Frieza as one of the playable villains via a trailer.

https://twitter.com/DBTB_EN/status/1550118401992888320

The trailer takes place on the planet Namek, where a player character attempts to save a trapped Namekian child. Seen through the telltale projection of a Scouter, the player briefly channels Son Goku's power to deliver a blow. It doesn't work, and Frieza in his first form emerges from the smoke. Gameplay footage reveals that Frieza will transition through his first four forms over the course of a Dragon Ball: The Breakers match, with the more slender Super Frieza being effectively invincible.

The trailer also promoted a pair of limited physical releases of Dragon Ball: The Breakers. The base game is digital-only, through pre-orders unlock the Android 18 Transphere (enabling transformation into Android 18) and Scouter (Blue) cosmetic accessory. The Special Edition comes with the game on disc or cartridge (or digital code for PC), as well as a costume, victory pose, and a Yellow Dragon vehicle skin. The Limited Edition pack comes with all of the Special Edition and pre-order content, and adds a steelbook case, a set of stickers featuring the Raiders, a green Potara accessory, and a physical Cell Shell figure.

Dragon Ball The Breakers

On its release date Dragon Ball: The Breakers will treat series fans to some "asymmetrical survival" gameplay. The game pits a team of low-powered Survivors against a single superpowered Raider. The playable Raiders are Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu. The Survivors use gadgets and skills to try to find keys scattered throughout the map while avoiding the Raider. The Raider must find ways to power up (for example, by feeding on civilians or Surviors) and evolve their form to better hunt down Survivors. Survivors can charge up their Change Power to briefly transform into a Dragon Ball hero like Goku or Vegeta to take on a Raider in direct combat.

The game is supported by a gacha system to unlock new change characters and premium currency. Prior to its release date, Dragon Ball: The Breakers will receive another Closed Network Test. Interested players can register at this page.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers is bound for PS4, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 14, 2022. Check out Siliconera's preview from the previous Network Test period.

Kirby's Avalanche Daiva Story 6 Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo has added three new games to its Nintendo Switch Online classic lineup, including Kirby's Avalanche for the SNES and Daiva Story 6: Imperial of Nirsartia for the NES. Fighter's History for the SNES is also available. All three games are available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

Kirby's Avalanche is a puzzle game released back in 1995 for the SNES. The game is known as Kirby's Ghost Trap in Europe and is a puzzle game featuring Puyo Puyo mechanics. In fact, the game is a western adaptation of Japan's Super Puyo Puyo, with the game's Puyo Puyo characters replaced with characters from Kirby. Notably, it is the only game in the Kirby series not to receive a Japanese release.

Fighter's History was originally an arcade fighting game, which later received a port to the SNES in 1994. Data East developed the game as well as the sequels that followed. Capcom later sued Data East for infringing on its copyright of Street Fighter II, due to its similarities. The court ruled in favor of Data East, noting that Capcom's copyright did not apply to martial stances, kicks, or punches.

Daiva Story 6: Imperial of Nirsartia is the sixth game in a seven-game series. Released in 1986 for Famicom, the game has been a Japanese exclusive until now. Interestingly, the war simulation game appears to be untranslated from its Japanese release. Nintendo also provided the passcode "たたかう" in its announcement video, which allows players to start from a planet-side battle.

Check out the video below:

Earlier this month, Nintendo added Mega Man: The Wily Wars and Zero Wing to its classic games lineup. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards also appeared back in May 2022. Meanwhile, Custom Robo and its sequel appeared for Japanese subscribers but did not make it to the west.

Kirby's Avalanche, Daiva Story 6: Imperial of Nirsartia, and Fighter's History are available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The original games are available to play on the NES and SNES.

Cloud Dress Version

Cloud Strife is the best-dressed person in Final Fantasy VII Remake, and that's about to translate to the real world. Square Enix announced a new Play Arts Kai Cloud Dress Version figure. It's based on Cloud's dolled-up look from Final Fantasy VII Remake's Wall Market segment.

In the segment, Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith infiltrate the lawless, decadent paradise of Midgar's Sector 6 Slums area. Their objective to interrogate local hedonist/crime boss Don Corneo is complicated by the Don's love of his "brides". Cloud is forced to dress the part, with the help of Aerith and the people of the Market, giving rise to the iconic Cloud Dress Version costume.

The Play Arts Kai Cloud Dress Version figure is patterned after a specific look Cloud adopts to get close to Don Corneo. In the game, Cloud's dress design is determined by the side quests the player completes while in the area. Completing no side quests puts Cloud in a basic black dress. Doing quests massage purveyor Madam M unlocks a lavender gown with white frills. However, Chocobo Sam's side quests unlock the dress the figure takes its inspiration from. The figure thus wears saloon girl outfit with a tight bodice and thin sleeves. The color scheme is more purple-and-blue than black-and-blue this time, though.

Check out some photos of the Cloud Dress Version Play Arts Kai figure in the gallery.

The figure is available for pre-order via the Square Enix store, with a July 2023 release date. It'll cost $194.99 USD. A larger, non-poseable Static Arts version of the figure costs $199.99 USD and is expected in November 2023. Unlike the recently announced Bring Arts Cloud Strife action figure, neither figure includes any NFTs or cryptocurrency integrations.

persona 5 royal ps5

During a Q&A between the Persona 5 Royal team and Persona Channel, one of the answers revealed that owners of the PlayStation 4 version of the game will not be eligible for a free or discounted upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version. Even if you own the game on the PS4, you will have to purchase the PS5 version at full price. Other questions on the form are in regards to the game itself.

Those familiar with the game from when it initially came out in 2019 may already know these answers. You do not need to play other games in the Persona series or the original Persona 5 in order to play Persona 5 Royal. There is a new third-semester storyline after the main plot, as well as new characters Takuto Maruki and Kasumi Yoshizawa. There are also new mechanics such as the Thieves Den.

Several other game companies have allowed PlayStation 4 users to upgrade to the next-generation console versions of their games for free or at a discounted price. For example, if you owned Star Ocean: The Divine Force or Atelier Ryza 2 on the PS4, you could get the game on PS5 for free. However, other companies did implement a similar rule for their games. Players who obtained Final Fantasy VII Remake for free due to having a PlayStation Plus subscription were not entitled to the free PS5 update.

Persona 5 Royal is available on the PlayStation 4. Persona 5 Royal will come out on the PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch on October 21, 2022. Those with the Xbox Game Pass will be able to access Persona 5 Royal from that date as well.

Fifa 23 Pc Specs Revealed Minimum Recommend RequirementsFollowing the confirmation that FIFA 23 will be the next-gen version on PC, publisher Electronic Arts has now revealed the minimum and recommended specs. There were some concerns that the shift to next gen would drastically increase the game's PC requirements. However, most mid-range rigs should have no problem running FIFA 23. The minimum requirements are Windows 10/11, an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or equivalent, 8 GB RAM, an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti or equivalent, and 100 GB storage space. Although these are a jump from last year's requirements, they are still relatively low. Most PC gamers should have no problem meeting them. The necessary storage space may arguably be the biggest hurdle.   The recommended PC specs for FIFA 23 are Windows 10/11, AMD Ryzen 7 2700x or equivalent, 12 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 or equivalent, and 100 GB storage space. These are a fair bit more demanding than the minimum requirements. Those with older PCs may struggle to meet the CPU requi...

Neopets Data Hacked 69 Million Accounts Password Emails Vulernable 2Neopets has been hacked, exposing the personal data of reportedly 69 million accounts. The official Neopets Twitter account has warned players that both their email addresses and password may be vulnerable. It also advises that users change their password on other websites if it is the same as their Neopets account. Changing your password on Neopets will likely have little effect, however, as this is thought to be a live breach. The hackers who obtained the data are trying to sell it. An entry for the data has been posted on BleepingComputer, a website that covers computer technology and cyber security. The post prices the database at four bitcoin (roughly $95,000 USD). Despite Neopets only listing email addresses and passwords as vulnerable data, this post also claims to have access to ages, birth dates, genders, nationalities, and IP addresses. Thankfully, it doesn't appear as though credit card information is involved.   This is not the first time that Neopets has been ha...
