If true, this means the current Fortnite season would have two additional updates instead of the usual one, and that has quite a few possibilities. Shiina says Epic is currently playtesting Fortnite v21.51. One commenter said that, based on the usual Fortnite schedule, version 21.50 should be out on August 30, and since the X1 updates usually go live a week later, that would mean Fortnite v21.51 should, theoretically, launch on September 6. The Apex Legends Season 14 release has proven very successful so far, with the new update pushing the game to a new Steam concurrent player record. However, many players have recently expressed dissatisfaction with the matchmaking system in the ranked mode for the FPS game. One of the most highly upvoted posts on the Apex Legends subreddit at the time of writing is the latest in a series of rants from players at lower ranks who say they are fed up of dealing with Masters and Apex Predator rank players appearing in their lobbies. Another popular post urges developer Respawn to "stop worrying about matchmaking times," claiming that players would rather sit in queue for a little longer than end up in matches with players of vastly differing skill levels. Now, it appears that the community has taken matters into their own hands. A viral clip shows a huge group of rival players seemingly teaming up with their enemies to eliminate a Predator rank player in their lobby. Saber will no longer be the only Fate series character to appear in Melty Blood: Type Lumina, as Mash Kyrielight will soon join her in the game's roster. Following the coverage for Neco-Arc the previous day, Type-Moon and French Bread have released another press release detailing the Fate/Grand Order heroine's inclusion through the imminent Summer update patch. [Thanks, 4Gamer!] True to her Shielder Servant class in Fate/Grand Order, Mash will excel at defense in this fighting game. Some of her moves will let her ready her shield to charge forward or parry her opponent's attack. The Type-Moon Games YouTube channel has two new Melty Blood gameplay videos featuring fights between Mash Kyrielight and Saber. The Japanese and English versions are uploaded separately. Bandai Namco and Sunrise have confirmed the global broadcast for the prologue story of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. It will appear on the GundamInfo YouTube channel on September 1, 2022. The global release will air three days earlier than the Japanese one, which will come on September 4, 2022. The Prologue will tell the story of Elnora Samaya. She will become the test pilot of Gundam Lfrith, a prototype mobile suit equipped with multiple GUND-BIT weapons that can also form a shield. Mamiko Noto will provide the Japanese voiceover for the prologue's protagonist. Elnora is married to the Gundam's development manager, Nadim Samaya, and they have a daughter named Ericht Samaya. The four-year-old girl has many similar features to the grown-up protagonist Suletta Mercury in the main show. Bandai Namco had previously shown The Witch From Mercury Prologue through several screening events. One of them took place at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 21, 2022. The global broadcast will be accessible to everyone who could not attend the physical events. Perhaps the most significant addition to Genshin Impact's upcoming 3.0 update is Dendro. The last of the seven elemental types present in the world of Teyvat, Dendro was previously only present in-game as an element wielded by enemies. Now, it'll be in the hands and projectiles of the Traveler's friends. First among them will be Tighnari, the game's first 5-Star playable Dendro character. HoYoVerse uploaded a character teaser video for the big-eared Forest Ranger to give players a look at his personality and motivations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ox9_6NJP4J4 The Tighnari character teaser shows him penning a letter to his unnamed master. In the letter, Tighnari (pronounced "Tie-nah-ree") rejects the chance to join the Akademiya, as he is concerned about a sinister phenomenon affecting Sumeru's rainforest. He instead suggests that the Akademiya send researchers into the forest to aid the research. Tighnari is voiced in English by Elliot Gindi, who also played Amibaras in the Undercity podcast series. In Japanese, he's voiced by Sanae Kobayashi, who played Kat in Gravity Rush and Shin-ah in Yona of the Dawn. HoYoVerse also dropped some details on how Tighnari will actually play. As the game's first 5-Star Dendro character, many players are likely to try to obtain him to get a leg up on using Dendro in combat. He uses a bow and is characterized as a burst damage dealer, dealing high damage in a short period of time. Like Ganyu and Yoimiya, his charged shot has two levels, the 2nd of which launches a "Wreath Arrow" that generates tracking projectiles. His Elemental Skill, Vijnana-Phala Mine, creates a field that taunts enemies and reduces the charge time on the Wreath Arrow. His Elemental Burst, Fashioner's Tanglevine Shaft, fires a large number of tracking projectiles that deal Dendro damage. Tighnari debuts on the Wish banner when Genshin Impact 3.0 launches. Players will also get a chance to obtain Collei, a 4-Star Dendro bow-user, for free from the seasonal event. Genshin Impact is available on mobile devices, PC, PS4, and PS5. There's a new Genshin Impact web event to help players kill time while waiting for the 3.0 update. The Genshin "Journey Through Pages" web event plays out in players' web browsers. Travelers need to assemble clues left by Knights of Favonius Librarian Lisa ahead of their next big trip. They'll need to piece together sheets of enchanted paper to unravel their journey. In practice, this means assembling a small map from unlocked paper tiles. Players can earn tiles for the Genshin Journey Through Pages event by playing the game itself. Accomplishing activities like daily commissions and consuming resin will earn Activity Points. Activity Points can be spent to gain Encounter Pieces, which expand the map. Then, Travelers can switch to an exploration mode, taking control of their character and exploring the map. Various encounters are available on the Genshin Impact Journey Through Pages event map, and they unlock rewards like Primogems, progression items, and other goodies. Overall, players can expect to earn 120 Primogems, 9 Hero's Wits, 8 Mystic Enhancement Ores, and 60,000 Mora. The Genshin Impact Journey Through Pages web event is live and runs through August 23, 2022. The summer event "Summertime Odyssey" is ongoing until the release of version 3.0. In the Summertime Odyssey, players return to the Golden Apple Archipelago to adventure with Xinyan, Fischl, and Kazuha. Players can earn a free copy of Fischl and a costume from activities in the event. The game itself is available on mobile devices, PS4, PS5, and PC. Bandai Namco and Project Aces continue their official lore explanation for the Ace Combat series with Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. Following the first video for Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, the series mascot Nugget returns to explain the story summary of the franchise's second PS2 entry. Ace Combat 5 was the first title to reveal the complete map of the Strangereal world outside of the Usean continent. The Circum-Pacific War covered multiple continents as a war between two of the world's largest nations, the Osean Federation and the Union of Yuktobanian Republics. However, the war also had a background where a number of Belkans infiltrated both nations and pitted them against each other to avenge the loss of the Belkan Federation in a previous war. The Japanese video, which also has English closed captions, explained how the protagonists formed the legendary Razgriz squadron to rescue the pacifist leaders of both nations and unravel the conspiracy, bringing an end to the war. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1kgrwuvZyY With the publication of Ace Combat 5's lore video, Project Aces has established a schedule based on the games' chronological release order starting from the PS2-era games. A new Suikoden orchestra concert will appear physically in Japan. Titled "Symphonic Poem from Genso Suikoden," the concert will take place in Tokyo on October 16, 2022. Pre-orders for the concert tickets have been available in the country since August 12, 2022. [Thanks, 4Gamer!] The concert's official webpage also revealed the complete setlist. Grand Philharmonic Tokyo will perform tracks from all five mainline series entries, with more emphasis on those from the first two titles. The orchestra will also include a pipe organ and mixed chorus. The concert will begin with "Requiem" and "Into a World of Illusions" from the first Suikoden. A medley of music from all five mainline entries will follow afterward. The latter parts will be entirely comprised of Suikoden II tracks. Despite the lack of new Suikoden entries, orchestra concerts featuring the series' tracks have been held frequently in Japan. The upcoming concert will feature a return of physical venue and audience after the COVID-19 pandemic forced online-only performances. In April 2021, Japan Game Music Orchestra held weekly online concerts featuring different tracks from the Suikoden series to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Today in a new blog post, the developer detailed the in-game store and what to expect while also going over the seasonal content heading to Diablo IV. Diablo IV will have a cosmetics shop and a Season Pass, which is to be expected. The in-game store, which the developer simply dubs "the Shop," will contain cosmetics and transmogs for weapons and armor. You can purchase these items with premium currency, as is the way. However, none of the items for sale "in the Shop grants a direct or indirect gameplay advantage," Blizzard reports. The gear may look diabolic, but they don't offer in-game stat boosts. That something comes in the form of Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider, a 16-bit side scrolling jump-and-slasher developed by JoyMasher, the studio behind games like Oniken and Blazing Chrome. Considering that JoyMasher's previous titles have generally adopted similar retro stylings and have all reviewed well, it seems likely that Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider will be a game worth playing. Surprisingly, even though The Arcade Crew just announced this game, the publisher plans to release it as soon as fall of this year. And while the video is far from a confirmation, it could hint at what's to come. Helldivers came to Steam in December 2015, so it's approaching its seventh anniversary. If you don't know, Humble Games is the publishing division of Humble Bundle, the digital storefront best known for its charity bundles.
