PCGamesN Saturday, August 20, 2022 1:37 PM  Some of the more fearsome Elden Ring mounts can be turned against their masters, it appears - as one particularly funny gameplay clip demonstrates. There are countless Elden Ring bosses and other foes in FromSoftware's giant open-world game that ride upon a range of different creatures. While you might have faithful steed Torrent by your side, some of the enemy mounts can be much more monstrous - and, apparently, less willing to be ridden. A clip posted to the Elden Ring subreddit by user lexbauvelt shows a rather dramatic instance of a fight against a Nox Swordstress riding a Giant Ant. You might assume that this partnership is the result of a symbiotic relationship between the two communities, developed over many years sharing the same space. However, this appears to not be the case, as the ants appear to be less than pleased about the whole situation. In the clip, lexbauvelt knocks the Nox Swordstress (try saying that three times quickly) from her position atop the Giant Ant. The mysterious robed figure rises from the ground and prepares to continue her attack regardless - only to be dramatically impaled from behind by her former steed. As users in the comments point out, the ants have glowing magenta eyes that suggest they may have been charmed against their will by their Nox riders. PCGamesN Saturday, August 20, 2022 12:52 PM  A "pretty big" feature is set to arrive on the Diablo 2: Resurrected PTR soon, following the end of the RPG game's current ladder season. As the spiritually eldest (active) child in the family, Diablo 2 has felt a little left out in the cold lately in light of Diablo 3 season 27 release date news, a Diablo Immortal roguelike event added as part of the lastest major patch, and an update on the plans for the Diablo 4 season pass and microtransactions. As the previous ladder season for Diablo II: Resurrected comes to a close, community manager PezRadar has taken to the forums to share news of Blizzard's upcoming plans for the remaster of one of the best fantasy games. Responding to a post querying what is next in line for the game, PezRadar says, "I know it has been a bit quiet on the D2R front especially this week as all other Diablo titles have had some sort of news." However, he reassures that the team is "hoping to share some news about the PTR next week." Acknowledging that Diablo 2: resurrected has fallen "a bit outside our windows we were aiming for with ladder seasons," he teases that "the team is working on a feature they would like to test in PTR that is pretty big." Apparently, the team is hopeful that it'll be ready to share next week, but wants to ensure that accurate feedback can be collected before it goes live. PCGamesN Saturday, August 20, 2022 11:50 AM  Blizzard has announced the Diablo 3 season 26 end date for late August, and when we can expect Diablo 3 season 27 to begin. With some fans of the fantasy game series and multiple prominent Diablo community members deciding to quit Diablo Immortal in the wake of its microtransactions and events schedule, many of them are returning to Blizzard's previous RPG game ahead of the Diablo 3 season 27 release date. The new seasonal update has players excited for it after PTR testing ran throughout July. The most prominent feature of season 27 is a new item called Angelic Crucibles. These can be used to 'sanctify' any of your equippable legendary items - a special process which automatically applies perfect ancient-level stats on the item's affixes, and also adds a unique class-specific power from a list of three options per class. Among the highlights from the PTR have been the Barbarian's Hammer of the Ancients, which has proven incredible for both solo and group play. Necromancer's Death Nova has also proven very strong, as has the Monk's new Wave of Light sanctified power. Witch Doctor's Bogadile build has also been popular with its ability to deal vast damage in a coordinated group using the Mundunugu's Regalia set. We first saw Lies of P gameplay in 2021 - the creepy-looking game from developer Neowiz sees you guiding Pinocchio on his "unrelenting journey to become human." The tweet in question (warning: flashing lights) comes from now-famed insider The Snitch, who has proven to be a very reliable source of upcoming game news in recent months, often leaking multiple titles ahead of major events. This latest tease is a video showing a simple green screen with white lights and sounds pulsing out a message in Morse code. "The wise man say, you'll find your way." That's the message, translated into English. The rap fans among you may recognise that line as a lyric from the Kanye 'Ye' West track 'Pinocchio Story,' which has led fans to surmise that the tease in question is related to news of the upcoming game. The Summer Lion King won't be the only character wearing a bunny girl costume in Fate/Grand Order for much longer. Challenging her for the throne is the Scáthach, Scottish warrior-queen of the Land of Shadows. The latest FGO event, Land of Shadows Battleground Blitz, begins next week. From August 22, 2022, the Masters of Chaldea will learn under Scáthach's wing, studying the art of war. More specifically, they'll study the art of a Holy Grail War. The classic ritual of the Fate franchise is the center of the FGO Land of Shadows event. The Battleground Blitz will see players unlocking seven "Grail Front" endurance battles. Mimicking the Holy Grail War, each Grail Front pits Masters and their Servants against each other. They'll move their parties across the map in an endurance match. Parties have limiting factors, like a cap on point cost for their Servants and Craft Essences. They'll also be unable to leave a Grail Front without starting over. Victory is achieved when all of an enemy Master's Servants are defeated. Crafty players can also target the Master themselves to end the battle quickly. In exchange, victorious players will earn Grail Tears and FGO Land of Shadows event currency. Currencies can be traded in for goodies, Command Codes, and other items. Meanwhile Grail Tears can be exchanged for a Holy Grail itself. Holy Grails are essential items for Palingenesis, a process that allows a Servant to break through the maximum level cap. Players can also earn a Spiritron Dress costume for Scáthach(Lancer), dressing her in a bunny girl costume. The summoning banner also features Scáthach (Lancer).
