Saints Row Severance Package: should you fire or kill Atticus?

Want to know whether to fire or kill Atticus in the Saints Row Severance Package mission? As one of the later Saints Row missions, Severance Package is surprisingly easy, tasking the leader of the Saints to cause millions of dollars worth of property damage by blowing everything up with a prototype tank. The aim: to plummet Marshall's stock price and force a vote of no confidence in its leader, Atticus Marshall.

Even when the open-world game cuts to the board room at the end of the Saints Row Severance Package mission, there is a tie in the vote. Some want to force Atticus out of the company, while others want to keep him around. With a dramatic spin of a chair, it turns out you have the deciding vote. Atticus' days of running Marshall are essentially over, but the method of his dismissal is up to you.

Volition's latest open-world, action-adventure game is as huge in story as you'd expect, so there is an incredibly long list of characters with speaking lines. While we couldn't possibly list everyone, we've compiled a catalogue of every named Saints Row character. Hopefully those names that have been escaping you are below as part of the Saints Row cast list - more info on all the major names can be found further down.

Tower of Fantasy 2.0 update reveals new desert region Vera

We're already getting eyes on the Tower of Fantasy 2.0 update and its new region Vera, just weeks after the anime game's western release. So far, Tower of Fantasy has launched to huge popularity in the west, pulling in massive Twitch viewer numbers and causing lengthy Tower of Fantasy queue times at launch. Thankfully, these issues have been quickly addressed by developer Hotta studio, who has also taken to naming and shaming Tower of Fantasy cheaters in an attempt to curb troublemakers from ruining the multiplayer game experience.

Now, the developers have shared a look at the upcoming Tower of Fantasy Vera 2.0 update, which will see players exploring a vast desert landscape and the floating Mirror City known as Mirroria. We got to see a short trailer showing several Tower of Fantasy characters zipping across the desert landscape on speeder bikes alongside some brief, panning shots of the cyberpunk-looking city. Vera, Hotta Studio explains, was under the jurisdiction of the Seventh District of Hykros before the Cataclysm, after which it lost contact with the main Plane.

Vera's climate is hot and dry, as you might expect from a region dominated by desert. The Gobby is the main desert region but, given its relatively uninhabitable nature, most of the people in the Vera region live in the Mirroria. A failure in the Vera Tower of Fantasy following the Cataclysm means that Vera's space-time dimension cannot be calibrated on the main Plane, and nor can it obtain a stable supply of original energy. Thankfully, this means that, outside of a few heavily polluted areas, the intensity of original energy radiation in Vera is gradually decreasing.

Dead by Daylight killers tier list: all 28 deadly characters ranked

On the prowl for a DBD killers tier list? Six years in, the Dead by Daylight character roster is bigger than ever, boasting a massive 28 killers at the time of writing, and a further 31 survivors. Thanks to that huge list of names, it's certainly difficult to keep track of who you should main. Combined with the July 2022 overhaul of 40 killer and survivor perks which has completely shifted the game, and there's even more to consider.

The joy of an asymmetrical horror game has always been the ability to be the bad guy. While there's certainly something thrilling about putting yourself in the shoes of a survivor (there must be a reason we all wonder how we'd do in a zombie apocalypse, right?), nothing gets the heart racing like shirking the lawful-good responsibilities of real life and taking on the role of a blood-thirsty killer. Every one of the following DBD killers has their own terrifying unique power, from ranged axe throws, to infectious bile and close-range chainsaw attacks. But which is best? Find out with our Dead by Daylight killers tier list.

How long is Saints Row? Like other similar open-world games such as GTA 5, it's easy to get sucked into driving like a maniac through the traffic-clogged streets, endlessly shooting at cops and other gang members, or taking on every side activity available.

However, before long, you'll probably start wondering 'just how long is Saints Row', or more specifically, its campaign. Check out our Saints Row guide if you're just getting started, but for now, here are all the details on how long the game is, along with all of the Saints Row missions.

     All Saints Row collectibles locations

Want to know where to find all Saints Row collectibles? As you progress through the open-world game's main campaign, you'll eventually snag yourself an abandoned church that could do with some decorating. During a side mission, Kev asks that you take a photo of a cannon at a nearby fort, and it's these photos you can use to get copies for the Saints' headquarters. All you need to do is line up the shot within the on-screen guidelines and when it's green, take the picture.

As for the rest of the Saints Row collectible locations, you can find them by looking at the phone and opening the collectibles app. Doing this gives you a detailed list of places on the Saints Row map where you can hunt for these structures. Since these collectibles are relatively large and glow blue if you haven't already found them, you should be able to spot them quickly.

All Saints Row lost wheels locations

Want to find all of the Saints Row lost wheels? These parts unlock some quirky-looking Saints Row cars. Not all of them are the best vehicles in the game, some are frankly an acquired taste, but they're still worth adding to your collection for their novelty alone.

It can be tempting to find all of these Saints Row lost wheel locations as you progress through the campaign, but we recommend that you save them until you at least unlock one of the few aircraft in the game. Flying is required to reach some of the lost wheels, and it's a safer way of getting around the Saints Row map without running into trouble.

Minecraft Legends rewrites the rules of the sandbox game

Minecraft Legends rewrites the rules of Minecraft to team you up with enemy mobs in a "fairytale" action strategy game spin on what is undoubtedly one of the best sandbox games of all time. In a developer preview with PCGamesN at Gamescom, the team behind the new Minecraft Legends RTS explains some of the key details that players can expect when the game arrives in 2023.

Minecraft Legends is a strategy game - but one that sees the player take the role of a hero in the world. You will become the commander of your forces and direct your troops from the front lines. Minecraft Legends features a main campaign mode with multiple difficulty settings and versus options, as well as plenty of challenges for players to complete. There will also be a marketplace available.

Players can choose from a range of heroes, but these are purely cosmetic - there are no different classes or weapons, instead all players will have their sword. Instead, the focus is on making pals - your allies will help you to gather materials as well as building up and manning your base structures. This is all in service of helping you in your fight against the Nether World forces that have overrun the Overworld with their hordes of piglins.

WoW Shadowlands hotfix nerfs the challenging Karazhan dungeons

A WoW Shadowlands hotfix is a dime a dozen dropping every week, and most of the time they're fairly minor. A bugfix here, a minor adjustment to a class ability there. On the rare occasion the venerable MMORPG receives a meatier update, however, it's usually in response to content receiving a severe spike in difficulty, or a bunch of game-breaking exploits being discovered.

In this case it's a result of Return to Karazhan: Upper/Lower, a pair of dungeons from the Legion expansion, making their return as Season 4 Mythic+ dungeons. The WoW devs note that they generally want "to give players a chance to relearn the mechanics before making large nerfs", but that Lower Karazhan in particular "continues to stand out as an outlier in difficulty". Let's go through the changes.

Hearthstone battle pass upsets players with

A new Hearthstone battle pass that adds a separate rewards track for Battlegrounds season 2 has been slammed by some prominent players of the card game for rewards included in its paid tier that they describe as "pay to win." The change means that players can no longer get Battlegrounds Perks with their earned in-game gold, leaving some free-to-play players are feeling left out in the cold. The new update also introduces Runestones, an intermediary currency, which has also been met with generally negative reception.

The Battlegrounds season 2 update introduces a distinct progression track to its battle pass, which includes the usual mix of rewards for free and paid tiers. Usually everything in the Hearthstone battle pass is cosmetic, and most of the rewards included in the Battlegrounds tier also fall into that same category. However, it also notably locks the ability to choose from four heroes instead of two behind a real-money paywall.

Previously, players would be offered a choice of four heroes at the start of a run instead of the usual two if they had access to Battlegrounds Perks - these were previously included in the Tavern Pass, which was available for 2500 in-game gold or $19.99 USD. Now, players no longer have a way to access this benefit as a completely free player, instead having to buy them with real money through Hearthstone's new 'Runestones' - an intermediary currency being introduced to the game that can be purchased with real money.

Park Beyond, an upcoming theme park management sim in the vein of a juiced up Rollercoaster Tycoon, is trying to balance two slightly opposed teams in its target audience. There are people who love doing the management bits - the bean-counting, optimising the amount of salt on fries to make people thirsty and buy more drinks, paying close attention to demographics and average spends and that sort of kidney*. Then there are people who want to design a park full of cool-ass rides and different themed zones, a true magical wonderland. Inside this Park Beyond are two wolves, in other words, and each needs a different but equally robust set of tools to wrangle.

After some hands on with an early build of Park Beyond, I have a little more faith that Limbic Entertainment are going to be able to pull it off. The toolset for building a rollercoast is, in particular, impressive. It's never been so easy to make a ride that breaks both the laws of physics and the laws of health and saftey. The coasters in this game are an absolute menace. In a good way.

The only Zelda game I've played was Link's Awakening, on the Game Boy. I do not feel short changed by this. In fact I get the distinct impression it was one of the best, if not the one that most distilled the series' essence.

That essence has made its way into Blossom Tales II, a charming light adventure game in the classic "going on an adventure" sense rather than the "rubbing every item on every other item until you're allowed to play again" genre sense.

You're playing out a story playfully told by your grandfather, who's cast you as the wee hero of a village out to rescue your brother from the sinister Minotaur King. Both of you occasionally interject, sometimes prompting a decision that changes the game a little as your granddad amends things to your liking. It doesn't go to the full meta-narrative lengths of a Juarez Gunslinger with it, but it's a cute touch and keeps the framing relevant.

PQube Mojiken A Space for the Unbound

Indonesia-based Mojiken, developer of the indie adventure game A Space For The Unbound, announced that it has terminated its contract with its western console publisher, UK-based PQube games. According to a statement from Mojiken and Toge Productions (its PC publisher), PQube engaged in "predatory practices" related to the usage of a diversity fund grant. As a result, A Space For The Unbound is delayed "until further notice."

Here's the full statement from Mojiken and Toge Productions, shared via the official A Space For The Unbound Twitter account.

https://twitter.com/ASFTUgame/status/1562319004949028864

In the statement, Mojiken and Toge Productions claim that PQube used its relationship with Mojiken, an Indonesian developer, to obtain a "diversity fund" grant from "a well known console platform" in August 2020. Diversity fund grants are commonly used by platforms as an incentive to support underrepresented game developers. These typically include game developers located in the countries with less established game industry presence, like Southeast Asia, Africa, South America, and South Asia. However, rather than granting the funds to Mojiken as intended, PQube allegedly withheld information about the grant. It instead used the funds as a "recoupable minimum guarantee" (essentially an advance, to be paid back via royalties), and as leverage to increase the share of revenue PQube would gain frp, A Space For The Unbound sales. Mojiken says that it "only uncovered the true amount of these funds and their intended purposes in March 2022".

Mojiken said that "[It is] absolutely heartbroken" to learn of the move by PQube, and that as it "clearly cannot trust" them, it has terminated the contract. At the time of the statement, it said that PQube is "still refusing" to return publishing rights on consoles for the game to Mojiken and Toge Productions. As such, the release of A Space For The Unbound will be held back until they can reclaim the rights and find a new publisher.

In a follow-up tweet, Mojiken and Toge Productions encouraged supporters to refrain from engaging harassment or other "negative or harmful actions," such as "review-bombing" or boycotting PQube-published games. They said doing so "will affect the developers who created [the games] and have nothing to do with our situation...All we ask is for people to read our statement and for your understanding of our delay."

In a statement sent to GamingOnLinux, PQube responded to the accusations, claiming that it supported Toge Productions "at every stage of product development throughout their delays and difficulties," with support "over and above grant funding". PQube claimed that Toge "have sought for some time to unilaterally enforce unreasonable revised terms to [their] agreement." It called the callout "disappointing" and said  it "will respond through the appropriate channels."

A Space For The Unbound is in development for PC and consoles, but is delayed until further notice. Its demo is available now on PC.

More information on characters and the battle system of Valkyrie Elysium has appeared on PlayStation Blog. New characters include Armand, as well as the Einherjar Kristoffer and Taika. As well, the new information focuses on the basics of the battle system, such as Divine Arts and summoning Einherjar.

Armand (who is voiced by Harry McEntire in English and Natsuki Hanae in Japanese) is a male human that Valkyrie finds in Midgard. He is looking for something, but does not know exactly what he searches for.

[gallery columns="1" ids="934166" link="file"]

Einherjar are characters (specifically dead warriors) you can summon in battle with your Soul Gauge. When Valkyrie summons them, she becomes the same element as them, and they buff her attacks. Valkyrie changes color depending on her element to make it easier to keep track. As well, Divine Arts of the same element of the Einherjar you're summoning receive a bonus.

Square Enix and Soleil have teased two Einherjar characters. The first is Kristoffer (Cassie Bradley in English, Maaya Uchida in Japanese). She is a spear user and was the princess of South Lucarda. Taika (Safiyya Ingar in English, Saori Hayami in Japanese) is a mage. In life, she was a Guardian.

[gallery columns="4" ids="934167,934168,934169,934170" link="file"]

You can gain new Divine Arts through treasure chests and such. Once you equip them, you can build up your Arts Gauge through items or combos to unleash powerful attacks. Other abilities you can use in combat include Soul Chain, which lets you extend a string to reach and move to faraway locations on the map.

You can customize your skills depending on your play style. For those who wish to see if a particular set of abilities works for them, you can go to the training ground Vingolf. Guarding an enemy attack at the right moment will cause time to move slower. You can also obtain a large number of souls in this fashion.

Valkyrie Elysium will come out on September 29, 2022 for the PS4 and PS5. It will come out on Windows PC on November 11, 2022.

Hideo Kojima, the creator of Death Stranding and the Metal Gear series, is starting a new podcast exclusively on Spotify. Hideo Kojima presents Brain Structure will "shed light" and "deep-dive into the brain" of the popular game developer. The podcast series will start on September 8, 2022, with episodes released every Thursday. The series will be available in both Japanese and English.

Tales From The Borderlands Release DateWith the grisly death of Telltale Games, the future of any and all of its properties was called into question. Though it was leaked earlier this month, we now officially have a release date for New Tales from the Borderlands. Yes, they slapped the word "new" in it and that's the title. Hey, it worked for Mario, didn't it? The game will be released this October and is being developed by Gearbox in place of Telltale Games. That isn't to say that the game is in all-new hands, however, as some writers from the last game are on board with the sequel project. New Tales from the Borderlands is exploding onto PC on October 21, giving us just a couple of months to wait and see if this revival packs the same narrative punch as its predecessor. The game will feature a trio of new main characters, and their names are Anu, Octavio, and Fran. Thankfully, it'll also run on the Unreal Engine, as opposed to Telltale's engine that had all sorts of issues across...
