If you've ever watched Studio Ghibli's gorgeous animated film about a young girl who finds herself in a mystical bathhouse full of spirits, you might have contemplated what running such an establishment might be like. Onsen Master is a co-op game from Waking Oni Games that hopes to realise those dreams by tasking you with running various onsen, while staving off the antics of troublesome yokai. Placing you in the shoes of the titular Onsen Master's apprentice, Mu, you are tasked with running the onsen (the Japanese name for hot springs and the facilities that surround them) located on the island of Izajima. You must keep your customers satisfied, preparing the appropriate ingredients to soothe what ails them and making sure they make it to the right baths without wandering off and causing trouble. The customers are the least of your worries, however - there's a dark cloud hanging over the island, causing mischievous spirits called yokai to appear. These yokai will attempt to disrupt the flow of your business, so you'll have to deal with them before resuming usual service. As you progress through the story and search for the Onsen Master, you'll even come across boss fights such as a giant, skeletal yokai rising out of the water to cause havoc in your establishment. PCGamesN Saturday, September 3, 2022 12:43 PM  The phrase "Bob Ross God of War cosplay" probably isn't the first thing that would come to most people's minds when trying to think up what to wear to their next convention. After all, Bob Ross is one of the most calming presences in television history - known by many as the father of ASMR for his relaxing, upbeat presentation and gentle brush strokes. God of War's Kratos, on the other hand, is… not. He is, in fact, perhaps the angriest figure in the history of videogames. Combining Sony's furious father with the soothing artist, then, is rather a stroke of inspiration on the part of Reddit user bradleyb623, who shared his delightful DragonCon outfit to the Cosplay subreddit. It combines the iconic soft, fluffy permed hair sported by Bob Ross with the pale-faced look and iconic red marking associated with Kratos (and, of course, a rather magnificent beard). The outfit skews much more Ross - a loose blue shirt and jeans - but the look is rounded out by the equipment, which draws inspiration from the axe and shield wielded by Kratos in the 2018 God of War. However, Brad reimagines them as a giant paintbrush and palette, as so often sported by Ross. There's many of his favourite colours there, of course - from Alizarin Crimson and Cadmium Yellow to Bright Red and, of course, Prussian Blue. Sadly, there's no Titanium White on show, but it looks like some may have been used to craft some of the remaining colours. The whole thing is brought to life with Brad's fantastic expression, which perfectly captures the roaring fury of Kratos. The amount means that the championship for the MOBA game has already become the tenth highest prize pool for an esports tournament with over a month left to go for money to still be raised. However, it's seeing a slower initial growth rate than the previous two Dota 2 yearly tournaments. The International marks the climax of Dota 2's yearly esports tournaments, with teams qualifying through the Dota pro circuit and regional qualifiers. At the time of writing, the Dota 2 site lists the prize pool for The International 2022, also known as TI11, at $8,139,958 - $1.6 million of which comes from Valve's base prize contribution, with the rest being made up from sales of the in-game TI11 battle pass for Dota 2. 25% of the money raised by battle pass sales goes towards the pool, which suggests that Valve has already made over $25 million from sales of this year's battle pass. Players can purchase the battle pass for $9.99 USD / £7.19 GBP, or can shell out $29.35 USD / £23.49 GBP for one pre-leveled to 50 or $44.99 USD / £35.99 GBP for a level 100 pass. Once bought, the pass can be leveled up by playing Dota 2 and completing challenges, additional levels can be bought with real money. The pass includes a range of unique cosmetics to unlock, including arcanas (high end skins with reworked skill effects, animations and sounds) for Faceless Void and Razor; personas (re-imaginings of a hero) for Phantom Assassin and Crystal Maiden; a prestige bundle for newcomer Primal Beast; and a whole wealth of taunts, cosmetic items, and more. The addition of 'one of the best farming games' to Final Fantasy XIV's list of accolades came as somewhat of a surprise when it arrived as part of the FFXIV 6.2 update, but players have been eagerly grinding away to maximise their island's potential. One of the most compelling parts of running your island is collecting the various animals that can be found around the environment, and the most elusive among these are the rare animal spawns that can show up at certain times or during certain weather conditions. These special creatures, which include the likes of the Black Chocobo, the rainbow-coloured Dodo of Paradise, the bizarre, owl-like Paissa, and the rather gorgeous, fluffy Twinklefleece. However, users aiming to hunt down these rare spawns should be aware of one particularly dangerous nuance - which, if you aren't careful, can lead to a rare spawn being wasted. As Reddit user FlareHeart explains, when you have a full roster of animals in your pasture, the game will ask you to release one to make room for any new creatures that you capture. It seems like a cruel joke for the roguelike game to add cheat codes this late in development, but here we are. Patch 0.10.0 gave would-be vampire hunters a chance to enter some codes for powerful abilities. You can click on the Yellow Sign entry seven times to unlock this secret menu, but it will disappear not long afterwards. To permanently unlock the Vampire Survivors cheats, you need to find the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane, which you can obtain by slaying the Bone Orb in the Bone Zone. Once you pick this up, a new secrets menu will appear on the main menu. Not only can you enter cheats here, but you can also see the conditions for unlocking the hidden Vampire Survivors unlockable characters. Of course, you can also just enter codes to unlock them; we have the full list below. Good Smile Company has opened up pre-orders for its Pop Up Parade figure of Hatsune Miku as she appears in "Vampire." This is the large version, which means that she stands at around 24 centimeters tall, instead of the usual 17-18. Pre-orders close on September 29, 2022. She costs 8,800 JPY/$62.99. Those in Japan will get her around March 2023, while those in North America can expect her in May 2023. Miku still has her signature pigtails, but they are a lot shorter than the default version. Another difference is the fact that she has a mole under her eye. And, of course, that she is a vampire. Like in the music video, she is posing like she is pulling down a mask to reveal her teeth. Furyu will release its JRPG Trinity Trigger in the West in 2023. The game launches in Japan on September 15, 2022. Chastened by the calamity their direct combat caused, the gods withdrew from the front lines, leaving their "Arma", massive weapons, stuck in the ground. Rather than risk destroying everything in their struggle again, the gods resorted to an indirect conflict, selecting "God Warriors" as proxies to represent their side and fight in their name. Cyan Elreius, a man who wants a quiet and normal life, discovers that he's been chosen to become the Warrior of Chaos. Rather than accede to the cruel destiny God Warriors face, he sets out on a journey with his companions Elise and Zantis to defy the gods and save the world from their conflict. Trinity Trigger operates as an isometric game with real-time combat. Its systems involve small creatures called "Triggers" that can transform into weapons and change up the characters' abilities. That's why we waited a bit to post about the latest trailer for the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime, which actually went up back on Wednesday. Studio Trigger's "Official NSFW Trailer" for the series leans heavily into over-the-top violence and spicy content that puts the "edge" in "edgerunners". It's also one of the most substantial looks yet at the show's action scenes, just under two weeks before it debuts on Netflix. Waking Oni Games released its latest game, Onsen Master, on September 1, 2022. It is available on the Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X. Onsen Master is a management game in which the player "must revitalize various hot springs" in Izajima. In Onsen Master, your day consists of taking customers to the onsen of their choice, as well as keep up with maintenance. Most of the time, however, you are dealing with the customers and making baths to suit their particular ailments. In total, there are six levels in the story mode. There is also a co-op function, as well as a local PvP element. There is also the option to just start playing the game without the story in Arcade Mode. This is a collaborative effort between Waking Oni Games, Argot, White Thorn Games, and The Keyframe Crew. According to White Thorn Games's website, they "are dedicated to realizing a Ghibli-like dream." Spirited Away may have served as an inspiration, due to the shared public hot spring setting, along with its use of supernatural clientele.
