Most of the quests and tasks in Disney's Dreamlight Valley are fairly simple and straightforward, with characters like Goofy often telling you exactly what to do or how to do it.      Sims 4 art surfaces that shows what the life sim could have been

A piece of Sims 4 art surfaced online – or resurfaced, to be more accurate, since it first appeared in 2014 – that seems to show a rather different vision of what Maxis' life game might have been if the team followed through on their vision. Redditer saltydungeonmaster unearthed a piece of concept art in The Sims 4 Studio, the tool used for making the best Sims 4 custom content, showing a vast, open field that, on first glance, seems like the setting for your average Sims neighborhood. Look a bit more closely, though, and you see there's quite a bit more going on.

     All Disney Dreamlight Valley characters

There are plenty of Disney Dreamlight Valley characters to rescue and befriend from your favourite films in this adorable farming sim. The Disney game is still in early access though and as a result, we know some are missing right now, but will be coming to the valley later down the line.

While Disney Dreamlight Valley is part life sim, it is also very story driven, and some of the characters you come across make up part of that story. Others can be chosen and unlocked in any order from inside the Dream Castle - though you'll want to read our Disney Dreamlight Valley guide beforehand, as it recommends you spend your Dreamlight on something else before unlocking all of the realms. Here though, we take a look at every Disney Dreamlight Valley character you'll come across in the story, as well as all of those you can currently rescue from their realms, and the ones we're yet to see in-game.

Diablo Immortal whale asks Blizzard for rollback from $34k 'orb debt'

A Diablo Immortal whale who says he "owes Blizzard $34,000" following the removal of third-party Eternal Orb purchases from his account calls for a character rollback. As everyone comes to terms with the phrase 'Diablo Immortal orb debt' following Blizzard's recent clampdown on purchases from third-party websites in the fantasy game, some affected players are trying to appeal for clemency from Blizzard.

Silkypico, a high-spending player who now faces an Eternal Orb debt of -2.4 million in the action-RPG game that he estimates would cost around $34,000 USD worth of in-game microtransactions to pay off, has asked Blizzard for an option for individual character rollback as an alternative to paying back the orb amount. "The option that should have been given to me is a) pay back what you owe, which is $34,000, or b) we will roll back your account to a date before the 'toxic assets' were added."

Admitting to his use of third-party 'black market services' (which he says took place between August 1-8 and were the result of a "payment loophole originating in Asia"), Silkypico says he'd be happy to accept the punishment of having his levels and gear returned to where they were at in July. In fact, he doesn't think it would be too much of a problem. "The way that the server paragon system is designed, I could advance back to my current level within a couple of days." He adds that any gear he had would be obsolete by paragon level 240 anyway - although this does beg the question of just how much of a 'punishment' this option would be.

     Humankind developer

A Humankind sequel might not be the first thing on developer Amplitude Studios' mind as the first Humankind expansion Together We Rule is announced for autumn 2022, but studio head Romain de Waubert says he is "sure that there will be" a Humankind 2 of some sort down the line. Following its previous successes with Endless Space and Endless Legend, the studio is looking to build on Humankind, its take on the Civilization style of 4X strategy game.

PCGamesN spoke with Romain de Waubert de Genlis, creative director at Amplitude Studios, about where he sees the future of the series heading. The most obvious comparison point is Sid Meier's Civilization series, which is now on its sixth numbered, mainline entry. Amplitude has already shown its willingness to follow up on a success with a sequel courtesy of 2017's Endless Space 2.

Asked by PCGamesN whether there will ever be a Humankind 2, de Waubert responds, "Yes, I'm sure that there will be," referencing improved tech and the development of new platforms such as Windows 11 that will lead to a moment "where it makes sense to bring back." He is emphatic that tech and visuals aren't the be-all and end-all, however, and that "it needs to make sense" before the team considers developing a new game.

Tower of Fantasy hackers are stealing accounts: A 2FA PSA

An increasing number of Tower of Fantasy hackers are stealing accounts, according to players of the open-world game. Following the discovery of how easy it is to get into custom accounts, players warn of the importance of enabling two-factor authentication to prevent dangerous players from getting access to your account. Affected players can even be removed from the account altogether, meaning they will lose all access to the anime game and their earned upgrades and equipment.

A PSA on the game's subreddit notes that using what developer Hotta Studio calls a 'custom account' (when you sign up using just an email and password without linking to another platform such as Apple, Gmail, or Facebook) leaves you vulnerable to hackers. Linking your Tower of Fantasy account to another platform allows you to enable 2FA, or two-factor authentication - one of the most reliable ways to protect against unwanted access.

Using just an email and password leaves you with no 2FA protection, meaning that hackers only need to guess your password to gain access to your account. Once they're in, they can bind the account to a platform they own, sign out of your custom account, and then remove your email from the Tower of Fantasy account - leaving you completely separated from your previous login. Some players say they have even been accused of selling their accounts when contacting support to try and recover their data.

Genshin Impact events – all current and upcoming events

Want to know more about the upcoming Genshin Impact events? A new version of Genshin Impact arrives every six weeks, complete with new characters, quests, and events. It's difficult to keep track of which events are currently running and if there are any new ones coming soon, so here's a schedule for all current and upcoming Genshin Impact events.

There are usually a number of Genshin Impact events running simultaneously, and they aren't just in-game events. When a new Genshin Impact character joins the game, the devs launch a web event at the same time - players learn about the latest characters through an interactive story told through a web browser. The rewards for completing different events range from in-game items like primogems and mora, to real life prizes like mouse mats and plushies.

Just like the Genshin Impact banners, most events are only available for a limited time, so it's worth participating as soon as you can. New events are usually added to Genshin Impact after an update, but it's worth keeping an eye out on this page as the devs do like to surprise the community.

Third person skater shooter Rollerdrome has some really cool weapons, but what is it that makes them so special? I mean, there's only four of them, and you're forced to constantly perform tricks to regain ammo, which doesn't make them easy to use. I think it's because of their more literal significance in the game. Rollerdrome threatens you with multiple enemy types called Houseplayers, all formidable, especially in the heat of battle when they combine their efforts. Luckily, the four distinct weapons you're equipped with act as an equaliser; each weapon is a solution for a particular enemy. Developers Roll7 could have easily added a bunch of copied and pasted guns from every generic shooter, but instead they were more intentional about the weapons they included, with each weapon complimenting the gunplay and the game as a whole.

Process of Elimination

It's a festival of deduction as thirteen detectives team up to tackle a case. Process of Elimination was announced by NIS America at its NISA Showcase 2022 event on September 7th. The game comes out in Spring 2023. It's set for release on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Check out the game's announcement trailer below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQYo8QqqKUA

Process of Elimination is a mystery game pitting the Detective Alliance, a group of the world's top criminal investigators, against a serial killer known only as "The Quartering Duke". With over a hundred victims to his name, fear of the Duke has paralyzed the nation. To restore order and end his reign of terror, the Detective Alliance must put a stop to the spree. Unsuspecting newcomer Wato Hojo stumbles onto the Alliance's get-together on the mysterious Morgue Island, only to find out that the killer lurks amongst them. Now, the detectives must prove their own innocence and unveil the Duke's identity before time runs out.

In Process of Elimination, players will team up with the thirteen members of the Alliance, each with their own unique skills and personalities. You can interact with the detectives in dialogue trees and seek out evidence to bring clarity to the case. Interactive maps and crime scenes will provide investigation targets, and the player's "Denouement" ability will help absorb information, gather clues, and even predict the future.

The Rose of Versailles Movie

Classic shoujo manga series The Rose of Versailles is getting an anime movie adaptation. The movie was announced as part of the series' 50th-anniversary celebration, with comments from the series' original creator Riyoko Ikeda. Alongside the announcement, an official website as well as a new teaser trailer and key illustration also appeared. The film is currently in development. [Thanks, ryokutya!]

The Rose of Versailles began as a manga series that appeared in Shueisha's shoujo manga magazine Margaret in 1972. The series revolves around Marie Antoinette and the fictional Oscar François de Jarjayes. The manga ran until 1973, after which TMS Entertainment picked it up for an anime adaptation in 1979. Since then, the series has appeared in many other forms, including numerous spin-offs and sequels, a live-action drama series, live-action film adaptation, and stage plays.

The Rose of Versailles Movie

The new teaser art for the movie shows the two main protagonists side-by-side. Monster Menu The Scavenger's Cookbook

NIS America's NISA Showcase 2022 event brought with it several new game announcements. One was a game that Nippon Ichi Software, NISA's Japanese parent, first revealed back during the 2021 Tokyo Game Show: Shikabanegurai no Boukenmeshi. Now, it's being localized for the overseas market as Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbook. It'll arrive on Switch, PS4, and PS5 in Spring 2023.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7mrQHhf6is

Billed as "an all-you-can-eat survival adventure", Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbook is a strategy RPG with a focus on cooking-based mechanics. The story premise is simple: A party of adventurers is trapped inside a deep dungeon, bereft of supplies. Desperate, they decide to eat monsters to survive and thrive in a hostile ecosystem. Players will need to master tactical combat, dungeon-crawling exploration, and cooking to make the most of every run. Cooked dishes can boost party members' stats, damage monsters in combat, and even improve the item drops from enemies. Players will also be able to create their own team of four party members, with customization options for race, class, appearance, voice, and pose.

The game features art and character designs by Disgaea artist Takehito Harada. You can check out some samples and screenshots in the gallery.

armed fantasia

Wild Bunch Productions has revealed more detailed information on the gameplay and world map of Armed Fantasia. Akifumi Kaneko, who created the Wild Arms series, is in charge of the game's development. The game shares its Kickstarter with Penny Blood and Armed Fantasia was the first to meet its $750,000 stretch goal In doing so, this allowed the team to implement a role change system. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The role change system will allow you to let characters equip all sorts of ARMs and not just the type they start with. In doing so, this will add more options as to how you organize your party, as well as put characters in outfits they would normally not have access to. There is no information on all of the types of ARMs that will be in Armed Fantasia just yet, though.

Armed Fantasia has a gadget system for exploring dungeons, and each character will offer a new gadget for the player to use. Protagonist Ingram will use bombs, which will explode after a set period of time.

[gallery columns="1" ids="934974" link="file"]

This gadget will let you destroy walls with cracks in them, as well as break boulders. In doing so, you can create a platform to jump on so that you can reach higher places. Ingram can set multiple bombs at once, which will cause a bigger explosion. According to Kaneko's Twitter, the team is in the middle of development a hookshot-type gadget as well.

https://twitter.com/akanekotwitte10/status/1567081530828390400

The next stretch goal for Armed Fantasia is $800,000. When it reaches that number, it will let the development team place 20 mini-game puzzles on the world map. Clearing those mini-games will garner the player various bonuses, such as items that will greatly benefit the player in finishing the game.

There is also new information on how you can traverse the world map. You will be able to jump, and there will be mounts you can use on land, in the air, and on the water. There will be bounty hunts you can partake in, as well as set pieces such as chasing after a shadow in the water with a boat.

Armed Fantasia will come out on the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC. It is currently in development.

GrimGrimoire OnceMore English

NIS America officially confirmed that it will localize and publish GrimGrimoire OnceMore in English during its NISA Showcase 2022 event. NIS America has the English GrimGrimoire OnceMore release scheduled for a Spring 2023 window on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.

Check out the teaser trailer embedded below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fD4XpY73XDs

GrimGrimoire OnceMore hit store shelves in Japan in July 2022. The game is a modernized remaster of developer Vanillaware's very first title. Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2007, GrimGrimoire was a 2D real-time strategy game. Players take control of aspiring mage Lillet Blan as she enters the Silver Star Tower, a renowned academy for magicians. Unfortunately for Lillet, not all is what it seems within the tower walls. Amid mysteries, monsters, and a time loop, she'll need to master magic to uncover the tower's secrets. Some of the concepts expressed in GrimGrimoire would go on to inspire the development of 2019's 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim.

Check out some screens in the gallery below.

[gallery columns="4" ids="935038,935039,935040,935041,935042,935044,935045,935046" link="file"]

The GrimGrimoire OnceMore English release will boast remastered graphics to bring the hand-drawn 2D visuals up to par with modern resolutions. The magical skill tree and user interface will be improved and the performance updated to take advantage of new hardware. New spells called "Grand Magic" will also unlock new options in a fight. Extras like an art gallery and a re-recorded voice track with new actors are also part of the effort.

Here's the current Japanese voice cast list. GrimGrimoire OnceMore will have an English dub option, too.

  • Lillet Blan – Saeki Iori (King Halo in Uma Musume, Vanilla in Nekopara)
  • Margarita Surprise – Miharu Hanai (Twin Turbo in Uma Musume, Tomoe Murakami in Idolmaster Cinderella Girls)
  • Gammel – Teruo Seki
  • Advocat – Hiromichi Tezuka (Weisz Steiner in Edens Zero, Takeru Mikimoto in Lost Judgment)

GrimGrimoire OnceMore is available in Japan on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Its English release is set for Spring 2023.

PS5 firmware update

A new firmware update is live for all PlayStation 5 owners globally. It's the latest major update to the system's firmware, following its beta testing period. The headline addition from the new PS5 Firmware is support for 1440p resolution. Also included is the "Gamelist", which is Sony's take on the "Folder" system from the PS4. A blog by PlayStation SVP for Platform Experience Hideaki Nishino detailed the changes inbound with the new update.

As mentioned, 1440p HDMI video is the main addition. "1440p" stands for screen resolutions with a vertical dimension of 1440 pixels. The most common 1440p resolution is 2560 x 1440 (a 16:9) aspect ratio. 1440p isn't as common to see in TVs, but is popular for PC monitors as a midway point between 1080p (1920 x 1080) and the more demanding 4K (3840 × 2160). Now the PS5, which previously could detect only 1080p and 4K, supports it too. There's one caveat, though: Using 1440p disables VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support, which only works on 1080p and 4K. VRR is often used in games and on screens that support it to eliminate screen-tearing by syncing the refresh rate of the display to the frame rate of the game.

Check out a video promoting the PS5 firmware update below, with a handy visual reference for the area difference between the three resolution tiers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9_zzJbT_rI

There's more in the package than 1440p, though. The PS5 firmware update features the highly-requested "Gamelist" feature. Gamelists live in the "Your Collection" tab of the PS5's Game Library. Just select "Create Gamelist" and choose up to 100 games to add per list. You can have up to 15 Gamelists. Games can be added to multiple Gamelists, as well. The feature should allow finer organization and sorting of PS5 owners' game libraries.

A few more convenience and social features are also included in the PS5 firmware update. Players can now quickly compare 3D audio and Stereo on a single screen to decide which presets they prefer. The "Activity" system in the PS5 menu will also make it easier to resume an in-progress activity. You can now also Request a Share Screen from a party member, as well as receive notifications when a party member is playing a game you can join directly. The PS5 now supports things like triggering a YouTube search via voice command (in English).

For PS App users, the update adds the ability to launch a PS5 Remote Play session directly through the app. This feature requires that both the PS App and separate PS Remote Play app are installed on a device, though.

The latest PS5 firmware update is now available globally. PS5 owners can access the update through their systems.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Treasure Hunt Trailer

Nintendo has released a new trailer for the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet versions. In it, players are introduced to the three story paths available to them: Starfall Street, the Path of Legends, and Victory Road.

Check out the trailer below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NreJ_VEcuYE

First up is Starfall Street, where players will face off against Naranja Academy's troublemakers. Team Star, a group made up of several squads of the school's delinquents, has been causing trouble for teachers and students alike. Players must go to each squad's base and fight off an onslaught of Team Star Grunts' Pokemon in order to challenge the squad boss. Squad bosses will appear on their custom Starmobile cars, which will assist them during the battle. Both the party Pokemon and the Starmobile must be defeated in order to take down a squad boss.

Next, players are introduced to the Path of Legends. Arven, a new character, is looking into healthy recipes for Pokemon food. His quest has led him to search for Herba Mystica, rare herbs found only in Paldea that are said to heal a Pokemon the moment they eat it. The Herba Mystica are guarded by massive, formidable Titan Pokemon, however, which makes them even more difficult to obtain. By helping Arven defeat the Titan Pokemon and collect the Herba Mystica, players will be offered some of his hand-made dishes.

The last story shown is Victory Road, which will be very familiar to Pokemon veterans. Players who accept Nemona's suggestion of becoming a Champion-ranked trainer must challenge Paldea's eight Pokemon Gyms. After defeating every Gym Leader, players must go to the Pokemon League headquarters to take the Champion Assessment. Those who pass will be deemed Champion Rank Trainers.

The new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trailer also introduces several new characters. Though a bit overbearing and curt, Mela, the boss of Team Star's Fire crew the Scheder Squad, will finish any task she sets her mind to. Arven is an upperclassman at Naranja Academy who is good at cooking but bad at Pokemon battles. The mild-mannered chairwoman of the Pokemon League, Geeta, is the strongest Trainer in the Paldea region, and the Grass-type user Brassius is the Artazon Gym Leader. Additionally, the Rock-type Klawf, Fire- and Psychic-type Armarouge, and Fire- and Ghost-type Ceruledge are all new Pokemon that will appear in the upcoming game versions.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release worldwide for the Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022.

nijisanji en wixoss header

Members of Nijisanji will appear as cards in the Wixoss TCG as part of the Nijisanji Diva pack. There is enough variety in the pack that you will be able to make a deck with solely Nijisanji cards. Wixoss has collaborated with Nijisanji in the past, adding livers such as Tsukino Mito to the roster. However, Nijisanji Diva will be the first time that members from Nijisanji EN make an appearance.

The members of Lazulight and Obsydia from Nijisanji EN will debut in Wixoss with the Nijisanji Diva pack. These members are Pomu, Elira, Finana, Petra, Selen, and Rosemi. Hyakumantenbara Salome, who has been making waves and breaking records for VTubers since her debut, will also appear as a bonus when you purchase the box. Some of the boxes contain a rarer version that has Salome's autograph on it.

There is also the chance to obtain cards of Sasaki Saku and Shiina Yuika with their signatures on them. The final bonus is a card of Lize Helesta with a serial number on it. Takara Tomy will only release seven cards with serial numbers, and they are exclusive to the first production batch.

[gallery columns="2" link="file" ids="934969,934970"]

Wixoss is a multimedia franchise focusing on the Wixoss TCG. Aside from the real-life game, there are also multiple anime series and manga adaptations. The TCG is similar to other card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic the Gathering in which you use your cards to wipe out your opponent's points.

The Nijisanji Diva pack, including cards of the Nijisanji EN members, for Wixoss will be available from December 24, 2022.

NieR Automata mod hidden churchBack in July, a Reddit user claimed to have discovered a major secret area in NieR: Automata long after its release. Supposedly, as A2, this player opened a hidden door in the Copied City area that led to a mysterious environment withits own dedicated cutscene. For a few days, this discovery appeared legitimate, as the user uploaded extensive video evidence showing the secret in full. However, it turned out that this secret church resulted from an elaborate mod created by DevolasRevenge, Woeful_Wolf, and RaiderB, which understandably disappointed some players. Now, though, you can add this secret to NieR: Automata if you so wish because the mod has recently been made public. According to the mod description, first-time players should ideally access the church at level 90 or so. It also recommends that you disable certain powerful chips like Shock Wave and Overclock, although this only matters if you care about a balanced level of challenge. You can either install the mod with NAMH, ...

Microsoft Flight Simulator Sim Scenes Splash 1Microsoft Flight Simulator boasts the amazing feature of offering the entirety of our planet Earth on a virtual, 1:1 map for its players to explore. In the two years since the sim has been out, many players have beamed over being able to fly over familiar areas such as their hometowns or vacation destinations they've visited in real life. But, of course, with the whole world within reach, why just stop at the known? The stunning visual prowess of the simulator has led me to go on a series of globe-trotting adventures to places I've never seen with my own eyes. So I wanted to share some of the best locations I've visited so far in Microsoft Flight Simulator; most of which aren't too famous. They should offer the excitement of venturing into the unknown! Before we begin our adventure, we have to go through our safety briefing. Or in this case, general rules of thumb. While this piece is in list form, it's not in any particular order.      Gizmo Multiversus 2The lovable, adorable, squeezable mogwai is the pet of dreams. This capable critter was able to charm viewers of Gremlins back in 1984, and he's back to win over more hearts as the next playable MultiVersus character. I do hold a special place for Gizmo in my messed-up, horror-loving heart. And, fitting for such a friendly fella, he'll be a support character in your 2v2 MultiVersus matches. Now you can bring the pet of the '80s into the MultiVersus ring with you. Gizmo is still a ferocious little gremlin, so don't underestimate his abilities in the ring. The official MultiVersus Twitter tweeted out a post with Gizmo's upcoming attacks and abilities, which will see him tag along with another character to become the best support critter out there. Gizmo has his "Hunter's Bow" from Gremlins 2, allowing him to fire flaming arrows that inflict the "Ignite" ailment. He also has an ability called "Gizmo Go-Go," which wil...

Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners Update Phantom Liberty Expansion ScreenshotIt's been a bumpy road for CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk 2077, but we're finally learning more about the game's promised expansion — Phantom Liberty. Granted, we still have to wait until next year to get our next bit of story content for the game. But what about after? Well, as spotted by mp1st, Phantom Liberty may be the only expansion coming to Cyberpunk 2077 in the end. The revelation comes from an unusual source. Responding to a comment on the Phantom Liberty trailer, the Cyberpunk 2077 account mentioned the expansion is the only major story content in the works.   "Glad to hear we sparked your interest," the account replied.  "As for the future, Phantom Liberty is the only planned expansion for Cyberpunk 2077." It's probably not the news Cyberpunk fans want to hear, but it does make sense. The game landed with quite an impressive thud, and CDPR spent most of its time trying to fix it. It's been two years, and things finally ...

Assassins Creed Mirage Announced new games ubisoft forward 2022Ubisoft is planning its Ubisoft Forward showcase this Saturday, with a focus on Assassin's Creeds. Right, not just one from what reports are saying. According to industry insider Tom Henderson, Ubisoft is showing off not just Assassin's Creed Mirage, but multiple new games coming to the franchise. According to the report, supported by Bloomberg, there are five games in the works along with DLC coming to AC Valhalla. I recall a time when Ubisoft wanted to pull in the reins of the franchise, but that's looking to be over. Ubisoft is revealing Assassin's Creed Mirage for the first time, and it'll be joined by the final DLC for Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Beyond those two, Ubisoft will apparently hint at four other projects — one heading to mobile, and another as a VR game.   The new Assassin's Creed games don't have names, but the reports do include minor details. Assassin's Creed Project Red is said to take place in Japan an...
