When you start your first run you only have a handful of Vampire Survivors characters and a few weapons available. However, on each playthrough, more items, weapons, and characters unlock for you to use in future attempts. These items are vital if you wish to use Vampire Survivor weapon evolutions to maximise a weapon's damage output for the best Vampire Survivors build. The game also locks new characters behind requirements, such as leveling up your gear to a certain threshold, finding items in a level, or slaying a quota of monsters. Later on, you can also find Arcana to give your weapons unique bonuses to annihilate your foes. Some of these unlock conditions are vague and confusing, so we thought we'd list how you can get all of the Vampire Survivors characters, weapons, items, and levels. The Street Fighter 6 release date is pencilled in for 2023, so there's plenty of time for more characters to be revealed. Looking back to older games in the series, Street Fighter 4 launched with 25 characters, but the lacklustre Street Fighter 5 featured just 16 characters on day one. Capcom appears to be learning from its past mistakes, so we're hoping for a large roster this time around. There are only 11 characters revealed on the Street Fighter 6 roster so far. Remy will ask for your help washing dishes and cooking some simpler recipes before he can trust you with his most famous dish. However, Remy won't tell you exactly what you need for the Dreamlight Valley ratatouille recipe, and you'll need to figure it out from ingredients around the kitchen. There are currently 53 Genshin Impact characters available (not including Dori who arrives in the latter half of the Genshin Impact 3.0 update), so there's no shortage of candidates for your dream team. But with so many different weapons, elementals, talents, ascension bonuses, and constellations upgrades, finding your favourites can be challenging. Don't let the placement of the characters on our Genshin Impact tier list deter you from pulling on the next character banner. While base stats and elemental abilities are important, the value of a character also depends on personal playstyle, available weapons and artifacts, and team composition. That being said, if your favourite character is in C tier or below, you may struggle to get past some of the more challenging Spiral Abyss floors. Don't worry too much if your favourite character is on one of the lower tiers; you can still make it work with our recommended Genshin Impact builds. In general, being on a high tier means that the character is the best Genshin Impact character in their role, is not too difficult to build, and performs well regardless of teammates. Being on a lower tier means that there are better alternatives, or the character needs a very specific build or team to shine. How the turn tables have turned. I'm able to win Nate around on at least one of my desperate bids to classify things that aren't eras as eras, although he does promptly shut me down on the most ridiculous one. It may surprise you to know that we don't actually talk about too many history games (although time travel comes up a lot). And stick around for a thrilling Cavern Of Lies. On the one hand, it was a tabletop deckbuilding game that saw you picking through roguelike-style dungeons by choosing different cards dealt out by its mysterious Dealer. On the other, it was also an action-packed hack and slasher, bringing its fantastical fight sections to life in fully 3D combat arenas - and there hasn't been anything quite like it since. Voice Of Cards certainly had a go, but its tedious battle system landed it straight on its own discard pile. Thankfully, we've now got the infinitely more engaging Foretales, a new narrative card game from French developers Alkemi, and it comes pretty damn close to capturing that Hand Of Fate goodness. It doesn't ever venture into the realms of 3D admittedly, erring more toward the Inscryption school of tabletop combat encounters, but it does nail the delivery of telling an artful, swashbuckling adventure through cards and cards alone. And much like Hand Of Fate, this isn't a one and done affair, either, as there are multiple paths to take through this entertaining fantasy yarn, and several game-changing decisions you'll have to make as you try and avert a string of terrible visions threatening to destroy its anthropomorphic animal world. You won't succeed at preventing them all during a single playthrough, but its hard choices only make its overarching story that much more gripping. |

Bandai Namco's moved the release date of One Piece Odyssey back a bit. Originally slated for a release within 2022, Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will land on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S on January 12, 2023. The PC edition pulls into port a day later, on January 13th. Check out Bandai Namco's TGS 2022 trailer for the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHXtyxULPX0 The One Piece Odyssey release trailer teases the story of Waford, the "legendary island" the Straw Hats are shipwrecked on. They meet a mysterious girl named Lim, who, wary of their status as pirates, somehow steals and scatters the crew's considerable power. The crew have their powers sealed away behind mysterious cube artifacts, and will need to scour Waford for their cubes to see them returned. Lim also takes them to "a special place" that allows them to visit "the world of their memories", prompting a vision of Princess Vivi and the Kingdom of Alabasta. Alabasta was the site of the Alabasta story arc, and one of the Straw Hat Pirates' most important adventures in getting together as a crew. The TGS 2022 special program also detailed some of the bonuses coming with purchases of One Piece Odyssey before release date. Pre-orders of the game will receive a set of cosmetic outfits for the crew that recall their first, pre-time skip character designs. Pre-orders also get 10 Energy Apple items, 10 Excite Apple items, and 3 Golden Jelly items. A Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will also be sold, which includes 2 Petite Jewelry accessories, a Sniper King outfit for Usopp, 100,000 Berries, and the Adventure Expansion Pack, an upcoming DLC. Fans looking forward to Star Ocean: The Divine Force will be able to give the game a try next week. Square Enix announced that a Star Ocean: The Divine Force demo version will launch on September 20, 2022. It'll launch at roughly midnight "local time" depending on your region. The demo will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The content of the Star Ocean: The Divine Force demo is expected to last about two hours, from the beginning of Raymond's story until the point where the party reaches a place called Delryk Village. It's said to match up roughly with the live gameplay demonstration shown at the Star Ocean Special Program from the Tokyo Game Show. The program also debuted a new trailer for the game. It features the theme song, "PANDORA" by singer HYDE, who had a video message for fans. The game will once again feature a narrative that blends sci-fi and fantasy. This time it features dual protagonists: Raymond, Captain of a trade ship that lands on an underdeveloped planet, and Laeticia, the Princess of a kingdom on that planet. The combat system will emphasize high-speed action, and exploration enhanced by the ability to float in the air and fly around areas to explore freely. The special program revealed the game's box art, too, from illustrator Akiman.

Two of Arc System Works' latest fighting games will appear on Xbox consoles. The Tokyo Game Show 2022 Xbox Stream confirmed that BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and Guilty Gear Strive will be available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X in Spring 2023. BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is a crossover fighting game featuring characters from multiple franchises. The game launched with characters from BlazBlue, Under Night In-Birth, Persona 4 Arena, and RWBY. Arc System Works later added new characters from Arcana Heart, Senran Kagura, and Akatsuki Blitzkampf into the roster. Meanwhile, Guilty Gear Strive is the latest entry in the Guilty Gear series that came out first on the PS5, PS4, and PC in June 2021. However, the stream did not confirm whether the Xbox version of BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will have a rollback netcode. When the game initially launched for PS4, Switch, and PC in 2018, the netcode that it used was not rollback. While Arc System Works later announced the rollback netcode implementation, only the PS4 and PC versions received it in mid-April 2022. Both Guilty Gear Strive and BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle are currently available on PlayStation 4, PC, and arcades. The latest Guilty Gear title is also available on PlayStation 5, while the BlazBlue crossover game also appears on Nintendo Switch. Arc System Works will release both fighting games for Xbox One and Xbox Series X in Spring 2023. A new day(life) has dawned for players who don't have an Apple Arcade subscription. Various Daylife, the Square Enix-published RPG from Team Asano, which helped produce Octopath Traveler, Triangle Strategy, and Bravely Default, is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC. The PS4 edition of the game launches on September 16, 2022. Originally launched in 2019, Various Daylife was previously an Apple Arcade-exclusive title. When not adventuring, they'll take up jobs to raise money, improve the team's attributes, foster relationships, and earn equipment. Success can unlock new abilities, jobs, and combat classes, which can be used to take on new and more rewarding types of work. The year's end will be a busy time for fans of Final Fantasy VII. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion had its release date confirmed by Square Enix's latest trailer for the game. It comes out on December 13, 2022. Though the launch date trailer first debuted during Tuesday's Nintendo Direct, the confirmed Crisis Core Reunion release date applies to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC editions, as well. It shows off the game's new graphical style, which brings it into line with the style of recent FFVII revival projects, particularly Final Fantasy VII Remake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlJVGCDBtyg Crisis Core Reunion is based on Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, which first released in 2007 on the PlayStation Portable. Crisis Core helped flesh out the larger setting of FFVII, detailing the workings of Shinra's private army, and introducing characters like Genesis and Angeal to the FFVII setting. The game once known as Project EVE has a new name, and it debuted anew at Tuesday's State of Play as Stellar Blade. Developer ShiftUp has been working on the title, which features work from artist Hyung-Tae Kim, character designer for Magna Carta, Blade & Soul, and Destiny Child. It'll launch under the aegis of Sony Interactive Entertainment for PS5 in 2023. It features gameplay and cinematic footage, and a Korean-language voiceover. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Kim outlined the story. Protagonist Eve land on the surface of an uninhabitable Earth to reclaim its hostile environs for humanity. They meet with a survivor named Adam and go to the last surviving city on the planet, Xion. She forms relationships with her comrades as they struggle to rebuild the city and retake the planet from an alien species called the NA:tive. The winners of Japan Game Awards 2022 were announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022. One title received the highest recognition among others. Elden Ring won the most prestigious Grand Award at the Japanese award-giving ceremony. Japan Game Awards is an annual award ceremony that takes place inside Tokyo Game Show. The Japanese public voted for outstanding games released in the previous fiscal year that ran from April 1 the previous year to March 31. The judging panel would then determine the top ten games suitable to win the Awards for Excellence and the best title among them to win the Grand Award. While the event also gives awards based on sales performances, it also included a couple of special awards. The Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Award is one such example that the Japanese minister directly presents to an outstanding individual. From Software's president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, won the award in the 2022 edition. The Game Designers Award is another special prize given by a group of top Japanese game creators. The Super Smash Bros series creator Masahiro Sakurai leads the group, which also includes PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya, NieR series creator Yoko Taro, and Capcom's Shu Takumi of Ace Attorney fame. Released back in March, Triangle Strategy had its development handled by Producer Tomoya Asano, who set this game apart from Octopath Traveler, his previous work, by making it a tactical RPG rather than a more traditional RPG. It received solid reviews upon release, but those who wanted to play it had to own a Nintendo Switch. This week, however, Square Enix announced that Triangle Strategy will come to Steam on October 13, so more players can soon join in on the fun.
