Diablo Immortal clans top leaderboards without even playing

Inactive Diablo Immortal clans are making it into the top ten leaderboards for the Blizzard RPG game without actually playing, pushing active clans out of qualifying spots for the game's end-of-week event, the Diablo Immortal Shadow War and compromising its corresponding Rite of Exile. This has left fans calculating how the system works behind the scenes to create such seemingly odd results.

The best Hearthstone decks for beginners

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, and welcome to the best Hearthstone decks for beginners. Trying out any new game for the first time can be confusing, especially when it asks you to make a deck from cards you don't own yet. Give yourself a little time and practice, and you'll be deckbuilding with the best of them.

Though it definitely helps to have a robust collection of cards, it's not essential to own every legendary card in the game. Your opponent may have an expensive deck, but that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to win. As long as you understand what cards your opponents could have and try to play around them as best you can, you should have no problem climbing the ranked ladder.

Overwatch 2's visual design leaves fans feeling unsatisfied

Overwatch 2's visual design and UI is leaving fans of the latest Blizzard game feeling profoundly unsatisfied. Following multiple bouts of Overwatch 2 server downtime and numerous bugs, including one causing accidental store purchases, players who have actually been able to spend time with the multiplayer game seem to be of largely one mind - it's fun to play, but its presentation is just… bland.

Fallout 5 should 'go to New Orleans and use cars' says ex Bethesda dev

Fallout 5 is a ways off. Bethesda director Todd Howard said earlier this year that the studio's pipeline will see Starfield released first, followed by The Elder Scrolls 6, with Fallout 5 coming in last place. The RPG game is in an early stage of development and Howard also added last year that there's currently a "one-pager" on what the team wants to make. So, to satiate our long wait time, we decided to ask a former Bethesda developer that worked on Fallout 3, 4, and 76 what they'd like to see.

Microsoft's official Xbox controllers, whether from the Series or One generations, are an awesome gamepad for PC gaming too. By default though, your options for connecting the controller are Bluetooth (on later models) or a wired USB connection - rather than the low-latency 2.4GHz wireless you get on Xbox consoles, which requires Microsoft's $25 Wireless Adapter for Windows. That adapter is down to $18 at Newegg today, and is well worth picking up while it's discounted.

NetEase has revealed more details about the upcoming Bungo Stray Dogs crossover event in Identity V. In total, there will be five costumes for Survivors. Four of them will be available in the logic path. Meanwhile, the skin for Dazai will be available to buy with Echoes from the shop. The crossover will run from October 13 to November 13, 2022.

The Bungo Stray Dogs characters who will appear in Identity V are:

  • Osamu Dazai ("Prisoner")
  • Atsushi Nakajima (Mercenary)
  • Doppo Kunikida (Novelist)
  • Akiko Yosano (Doctor)
  • Ranpo Edogawa (Painter)

When pulling from the crossover Essences, you will not get duplicates of any A skins. Aside from skins, you will be able to get exclusive portraits, accessories, and graffitis. There will also be a free version of the Tiger Tail accessory for the Mercenary. You can then upgrade it to either an A or S accessory with tokens. The maximum amount of tokens you can get for free through daily battles is only enough to turn it into an A accessory.

Bungo Stray Dogs is an action/mystery manga series. An anime adaptation premiered in 2016. All of the characters in it are references to famous literary authors, and their superpowers are based on iconic pieces of writing. In early October 2022, Bones released a new piece of key art for the upcoming fourth season of Bungo Stray Dogs. It will start airing in January 2023.

Identity V is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC, and the Bungo Stray Dogs event will debut on October 13, 2022.

Steam Deck

Valve continues to work on its Steam Deck handheld, and has announced that in addition to various updates, more people will now be able to actually get one. Interested Steam Deck buyers can now order a Steam Deck without having to make a reservation. According to Valve, it has managed to get clear of supply chain and manufacturing issues that forced it to implement a queuing system to manage orders. Now, players no longer have to make a reservation just to order a unit in countries where the Steam Deck is offered. Buyers with existing reservations will have theirs prioritized as well. Reservations will still be needed, however, in places just getting the Deck for the first time, like Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Valve also unveiled a bespoke Steam Deck Dock. Officially called the Docking Station, the dock allows a Steam Deck to be plugged into a power supply. It'll also be able to use video output to plug into a monitor or TV, and an ethernet port for wired online access.

Check out the official Valve Docking Station in the launch trailer below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvokyBOYe8Y

The dock contains three USB-A 3.1 ports, a USB-C port for power, a Displayport video output, an HDMI video output, and an ethernet port. It also supports up to 4k displays and Freesync. The Docking Station includes an identical power supply to the Deck, allowing users to use it to charge up the device or use it as a mini desktop console. It's also designed to support propping up the Deck so users can see the screen. The Docking Station isn't necessary, though. Users can opt to use most third-party USB docks or hubs instead. Pre-orders for the Docking Station are open at this link. The dock costs $89 USD.

Other updates for the Steam Deck operating system include additional language support, customizable options for working with docked mode, and improvements to offline mode stability. "Virtual Menus" expand the range of inputs available for more complex games, and a "mode shift" allows players to remap controls while holding down a button.

Check out a summary trailer highlighting Valve's Deck-related news below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRnZrSBK3R4

The Steam Deck is available to order from Valve's official website. Prices range from $399 USD to $649 USD, determined by storage size and speed.
