Naruto global character poll

The Naruto and Boruto stage presentation at the ongoing Jump Festa 2023 event revealed a big announcement for the Naruto fan base: a popularity contest. A new global Naruto character poll will take in votes from across the world. The twist is that the results of the poll will inspire a new work of manga from series creator Masashi Kishimoto.

The formal name of the Naruto global character poll is "NARUTOP99," and the official voting site is accessible at this link. Though character popularity polls are a common sight in manga, this is the first worldwide poll done for Naruto.

Check out a trailer for the contest below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8czN6GUqHw

The Naruto global character poll voting is open now, and participants can vote once a day for any character they wish. The selection is extremely broad: Virtually every named character that has ever appeared in the Naruto manga is eligible for nomination, for a total of 488 candidates. There don't seem to be any characters from Boruto's generation, though. Participants can vote once a day, as well. This suggests that the organizers intend to gather "points" for each character to help weight a ranking order when the tallies are in.

When the voting ends on December 31, 2022, Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto will create a short one-shot manga chapter following the winner of the Naruto global character poll.

Naruto is published in English by Viz Media, and is readable in Shonen Jump. Its sequel, Boruto, is ongoing. A special gallery opened in Japan to celebrate the anime's 20th anniversary.

Spy x Family Loid, Yor, and Anya Look Up and Petit Rama Figures Teased

At Jump Festa 2023, Megahouse didn't just announce new Bleach figures. It also showed items from another anime series. More Spy x Family Loid, Yor, and Anya Forger Look Up and Petit Rama figures are on the way.

There's already one Anya Look Up figure. It debuted back in October 2022. A second one, referred to a "Special" version, will show up in the next batch. Art wasn't shown of it or the other upcoming Spy x Family Look Up figures of Loid or Yor, and the teaser picture only showed the existing Anya one in a holiday stocking.

The Petit Rama series is a collection of diorama scenes brought to life. For the Spy x Family figures, moments from the anime and manga appear. One involves the moment in which Anya runs up to Loid and hugs his leg after her "father" saved her from a dangerous situation and is considering sending her away. Another shows Yor in the middle of a high kick. The second figure is just of Anya. Finally, there's an angry Damian Desmond one.

Jump Festa 2023 runs until December 18, 2022.

Sasuke's adventures as an adult will appear in animated form after all. Naruto: Sasuke's Story (aka Sasuke Retsuden) will be adapted as part of the ongoing Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime series.

An announcement at Jump Festa 2023 revealed that in January 2023, the Boruto anime series will enter the Sasuke's Story arc. The story details Sasuke's adventures as a traveling agent of Konoha Village. Far from the Land of Fire, he infiltrates an observatory. With Sakura's help, he begins an undercover investigation, hiding his identity as a ninja and uncovering a secret conspiracy that threatens global balance.

The arc first appeared in 2019 in novel form as Naruto: Sasuke's Story - The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust. It was written by Jun Esaka, and received a manga adaptation from Shingo Kimura.

Check out a poster promoting the arc.

The Boruto anime arc will also be accompanied by a new opening and ending theme song. Bands Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Humbreaders will perform the opening and ending, respectively. Asian Kung-Fu Generation performed the 2nd opening theme of the Naruto anime, "Haruka Kanata".

Following that arc, the next arc in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will be the "Code" arc, which is the current arc in the manga. The arc concerns Code, an Inner from Kara. It also involves characters like Ada.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations airs on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and on Adult Swim's Toonami block. The Sasuke's Story arc will be adapted in the anime by January 2023, while the manga edition is accessible via Viz Media's Shonen Jump service and Shueisha's Manga Plus service.

Bleach SH Figuarts, Mega Cat and Look Up Figures Announced a

An array of Bleach figures appeared at Jump Festa 2023, with Megahouse revealing Look Up and Mega Cat Project additions and Tamashii Nations showing off the promised SH Figuarts one. Each one is in a different stage of production. Also, lead Ichigo Kurosaki appears in each situation.

First, Bandai's SH Figuarts of Ichigo as seen in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War will appear first. This showcases him in his latest outfit. Its subtitle notes it is the Bankai: Tensa Zangetsu version. As it is a painted prototype, it appears furthest along in development.

Next is Megahouse's Bleach Look Up figures. Ichigo and Byakuya Kuchiki will join this collection. These are unpainted prototypes in the development process.

Finally, Megahouse showed imagery of the Bleach Nyan Mega Cat Project announcement. No prototypes appeared. However, the official art showed cat versions of Ichigo, Orihime Inoue, and Uryu Ishida.

Jump Festa 2023 runs until December 18, 2022. Release windows weren't offered for any of these figures. However, the SH Figuarts, Mega Cat Project, and Look Up lines all appear outside Japan.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

The next season of Jujutsu Kaisen is coming midway through next year. A new trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 launched at the ongoing Jump Festa 2023 event on December 17, 2022. The preview revealed that the season will begin broadcasting in July 2023, the typical summer anime seasonal block. Japanese broadcast networks MBS and TBS will air the series in Japan for two "cours" (programming blocks that cover roughly three months of episodes each). People can expect a run of between 22-26 episodes, depending on cour length.

The new trailer shows off art from the season. Check it out below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUXHOBT0sUM

The subtitle beneath the Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 logo confirms officially, that the season will adapt the "Kaigyoku," "Gyokusetsu", and "Shibuya Incident" story arcs. As seen in the pages of Gege Akutami's original Jujutsu Kaisen manga, Kaigyoku and Gyokusetsu are jointly referred to as the "Gojo's Past" arc or the "Hidden Inventory/Premature Death" arc. They dig into the events of Gojo's life as a second year student at Jujutsu High, when he cooperated with Suguru Geto to escort the Star Plasma Vessel. Earlier releases of poster art from the season effectively confirmed this by showing off Gojo's appearance circa-2006.

Meanwhile, the Shibuya Incident story arc is the direct continuation of events from the first season, taking place in the series' present. The main cast is forced to battle against an alliance of cursed spirits and curse users, aiming to defend Gojo from being sealed.

Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen premieres in July 2023 in Japan. International release plans have not yet been announced.
