God of War is the top-rated and most-played Sony game on Steam

It's only been out a few days but the God of War PC port is already proving a tremendous hit for Sony - with several records being broken on the publisher's games, including God of War's Steam concurrent player count and the user rating.

Four years after the God of War reboot hit PS4 to much acclaim the game finally arrived on PC via Steam this week, to just as much acclaim or more, somehow. With sequel God of War: Ragnarok out this year on PS5 and PS4, there's obviously a lot of excitement over the series - meaning that a lot of new players are checking out the PC port, and loving it too, apparently.

While God of War's concurrent player count on day one was slightly lower than fellow PlayStation port Horizon: Zero Dawn on its first PC day, Sony Santa Monica's title seems to have rallied the troops since then - as the player count has only risen since then, reaching an all-time high for a Sony game on PC of 73,529 earlier today.

Sweet Transit is Transport Tycoon meets Factorio, and it's out this year

The PC has a wide range of fantastic games, but something it always needs more of are fun, relaxing titles to enjoy but not get too stressed over - or an update of '90s classic Transport Tycoon mixed with a little bit of Factorio, which is what new title Sweet Transit is all about.

Transport Tycoon released in 1994, the same year that the XCOM series began - but unlike that classic strategy series, Transport Tycoon never got a revival despite original creator Chris Sawyer's attempt at a sequel with Locomotion and the original being well-remembered even today as a more chill alternative to SimCity.

Now ex-Factorio developer and 3D artist Ernestas NorvaiĊĦas has teamed up with publisher Team 17 to create Sweet Transit, which seems to be a spiritual successor to Transport Tycoon. The game's described as a "cosy train-driven city builder" - not enough games are called "cosy" these days - "where the railway is king and trains are the sole means of transportation and expansion".

Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 raised nearly $3.5 million for charity

After a week of the Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 event and multiple speedruns by various streamers for charity - which included games such as Deathloop, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and even Deltarune - the organisers have revealed that AGDQ 2022 has broken records and raised almost $3.5 million USD for charity.

The latest Games Done Quick charity event kicked off last weekend with the fantastic likes of Deathloop - which streamer CreeperHntr completed in under half an hour - and by the middle of the week the organisers revealed that AGDQ 2022 had hit the $1 million USD mark faster than any previous speedrunning charity events.

Now AGDQ 2022 has wrapped up and the final total raised for charity Prevent Cancer Foundation is a whopping $3,416,729 USD - which is apparently "officially the most we've ever raised in the history of
Games Done Quick" according to a tweet on the event's account. It's a truly fantastic achievement by any measure, especially tied to such an entertaining event.

WWE 2K22 might finally be coming out in March

It's been a few years since wrestling fans have got a new WWE game, but now a leak suggests the WWE 2K22 release date may be as soon as March - with the leak also revealing pre-order details, early access, and the cover featuring a very colourful Rey Mysterio.

As 2K Games is hoping people have forgotten, its last wrestling was WWE 2K20 released back in 2019 and was incredibly broken. It became the laughing stock of the internet, and was actually so bad WWE 2K21 got cancelled altogether. 2K Games told fans the series would be taking a year off to make sure that disaster wouldn't happen again.

Well, it's been more than that - in fact, it's nearly been a full year since WWE 2K22 was announced and there's still no word about the game's release. Until today, of course, as leaker Nils Ahrensmeier has posted a lot of information about the game - including WWE 2K22's two covers and a release date of March 11, with three-day early access starting March 8 available presumably as part of the deluxe edition or a pre-order bonus.

AGDQ streamer beats Sekiro boss blindfolded and makes us all look bad

Much like From Software's more famous Dark Souls games, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is one of the toughest games around - with early boss Gyoubu one of the toughest fights in the game. Now, as part of the AGDQ 2022 event, streamer Mitchriz beat the Sekiro boss blindfolded and made us all look terrible in comparison.

The latest Awesome Games Done Quick event ran its series of streams for charity this week, and AGDQ 2022 quickly shot past $1 million dollars raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation in record time. While all the speedrunning streams so far have been impressive, taking on one of the toughest bosses in one of the toughest games around without taking a hit or being able to see the screen is on a whole new level.

Streamer Mitchriz, however, did exactly that. You can check out the whole fight below as part of yesterday's stream, with the Gyoubu boss battle coming around 17 minutes into their blindfolded speedrun. Mitchriz managed the whole game in a respectable speedrunning time of around two hours - and was completely blind for the whole thing, remember.

Pandemic has been delisted on Steam for

Publisher Asmodee Digital has quietly pulled the digital version of Pandemic: The Board Game from Steam, with other digital platforms to follow soon. While perhaps not a board game on PC that people might want to play right now, the publisher has said that it's delisting Pandemic for "a multitude of reasons".

Back in August 2018, Asmodee published a digital version of the popular board game Pandemic by Z-Man Games on Steam - tasking several players with containing a crazy "what if" science fiction scenario where a deadly infectious disease spreads over the planet. Of course, it all got a little too real after a while, but the game continued to be sold on Steam throughout the last two years - even getting a "Mutation" DLC last year.

On January 6 this year, however, Asmodee delisted Pandemic from Steam. According to Reddit user bad_boy_barry (via PC Gamer), who got in touch with the publisher, it confirms that it is removing Pandemic from sale. "We have worked hard over 4 years on Pandemic and withdrawing it from the stores has not been an easy choice," the statement reads.
