But I admitted I'd reached my exhaustion point, which abated briefly, then came back with full force by the end. Honestly, as much as I admire the game and its brilliance, I reckon it might be a bit too much for me. And as FromSoftware set the Soulslike standard, I find myself hoping that future Soulslikes don't get too caught up in trying to mimick Elden Ring. |

Square Enix announced new information about Dragon Quest games will appear at its Jump Festa booth. Details through the official Jump Festa website state that the developer will be showing off the "latest trailers" for the series. There will also be a photograph area at the booth where attendees can take pictures. However, details were not disclosed as to what kind of trailers will appear. No mention of the upcoming Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate is on the website. Jump Festa will be held from December 17-18, 2022. Square Enix previously released Dragon Quest information during Jump Festa. This has included a teaser trailer for Dragon Quest XI S. Alongside the release of the teaser trailer, Square Enix had also disclosed the voice actors that would appear in the Japanese version of the game. Similar information regarding upcoming Dragon Quest titles could be revealed at the upcoming event. The next new installment in the game series, Dragon Quest: XII The Flames of Fate was announced in May 2021 through a special program. However, this was simply a title card reveal with scarce bits of information provided through the stream. The title will feature a revamped "command battle" system and a darker tone by comparison to older entries in the series. Capcom updated its Platinum Titles list, revealing titles like Devil May Cry V and Monster Hunter: Rise moved up the ranks. While Monster Hunter: World still remains in the top position, with Resident Evil 7 securing spot number two, Monster Hunter: Rise now rests at third place. Having sold 11.2 million copies, Monster Hunter: Rise sufficiently supplanted the Resident Evil 2 remake, which previous occupied that position at 10 million units sold. However, Devil May Cry V is just short of breaking into the top ten of Capcom's Platinum Titles list, resting at 6.10 million units sold worldwide. As of writing this, Street Fighter II still occupies spot ten at 6.30 million units sold. Resident Evil Village also ranks somewhere in the top ten, sitting at spot nine with 6.60 million units sold. This may change, however, with the newly release Resident Evil Village Gold Edition releasing in late October 2022. That is assuming Capcom will bundle in its sales with the original release of the game. Capcom continued to see success in its recent releases. Monster Hunter: Rise quickly supplanted Street Fighter II as Capcom's best single-platform selling title. With its release on PC, sales continued to grow, seeing it quickly climb Capcom's internal chart. The Dendro Archon Nahida is finally playable in Genshin Impact, which means now you might start worrying about equipment like an Artifact set. Fortunately, she is a super easy character to build! There are a lot of sets that work, and you don't need a big investment to get her ready to explore Teyvat. The Spire of Solitary Enlightenment in Sumeru is a fantastic Domain to visit for a possible Nahida Artifact set, because both of the primary ones there could work well for her. It all depends on how you want to build her. Not to mention, this is a Domain you unlock just by walking up to it, so there's no added headache to accessing it. All of the bonuses from the set inside work for her. But for the primary stat for each piece, keeping Dendro damage boosts, Elemental Mastery, and perks that increase her critical hit damage and percentage will all be helpful. Why is the Gilded Dreams Artifact Set Good for Nahida in Genshin Impact?I like the Genshin Impact Gilded Dreams Artifact set for Nahida myself. As a catalyst user dealing Dendro damage, you want her Elemental Mastery to be high. Two pieces of the set gives you an 80 point boost. The other part of the set bonus involves Elemental Reactions. Which again, Nahida and Dendro are good at triggering. She'll get buffs based on the party's elements every eight seconds after one comes up. If you pack the party with characters whose element isn't Dendro, you can set yourself up for a good time due. For each one who isn't, her Elemental Mastery will increase by 50. So three different elements means a 150 boost. If you do include an extra Dendro person to take advantage of Sprawling Greenery to boost Elemental Mastery based on reactions, then she gets a 14% attack boost for each person who also has Dendro. (At the very least, someone could make their Traveler a Dendro unit to take advantage of that.) So for my team, I paired Nahida with Ayato and Klee, so as to take advantage of the Dendro and Pyro burning reaction and Dendro and Hydro Bloom reactions, as well as the Burgeon effect from all three at once. Kokomi rounds out the group for additional healing. Why is the Deepwood Memories Artifact Set Good for Nahida in Genshin Impact?But, if you don't want to try and build a party for a specific Nahida Artifact set in Genshin Impact, then Deepwood Memories is great. It is all about maximizing her Dendro damage output. Which means you can put her on the field, maybe use her as your main DPS, and reap the rewards. You don't even need to worry about Elemental Reactions. (Though you should, because Dendro ones are great.) The two-piece set bonus for Deepwood Memories boosts Dendro damage by 15%. That's a fantastic start. If you have four pieces equipped and Nahida uses her Elemental Skill or Burst, all enemies hit by it will have decreased Dendro resistance for 30% for a few seconds. Which, if you're planning to use her as your on-field DPS, can create an endless cycle of fantastic damage. What if I Want an Artifact Set for Nahida That I Might Already Own?If you've been regularly going through Trounce Domains, odds are a few complete Wanderer's Troupe sets are already lingering in your inventory. This is completely fine Artifact set for Nahida in Genshin Impact. If you have two pieces, she'll get an 80 point Elemental Mastery boost. Any player would be happy to get that! Also, Nahida is a catalyst user, and the four-piece set bonus for this one increases a bow or catalyst user's charged attack damage by 35%. There are better four-piece bonuses to be certain, but it is very serviceable and low effort! New Pokemon merchandise is on the way, and this time it will involve shoes from Puma. The official Twitter account shared a quick teaser video announcing the collaboration. It didn't offer any additional details about the new collection. All it noted is that it will appear "soon." People interested will be able to purchase the gym shoes from the Pokemon Center online storefront. Here is the full teaser from Twitter. Given the shade of yellow used for the Puma logo and Pikachu's appearance, it seems reasonable to guess the electric mouse will be a part of the collection.
Puma products with notable Nintendo characters on them aren't uncommon. For example, in 2020 the company released some NES sneakers. In 2021, it introduced an Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection. Likewise, Pokemon merchandise often appears from popular manufacturers or creators. Uniqlo's sold shirts with characters on them. In early 2022, the Pokemon Meets Artist shirts showed up in-store. Converse created shoes inspired by the little monsters. Square Enix announced new Final Fantasy XI concept art on the We are Vana'diel site designed to celebrate the MMORPG, and this time We Illustrate Vana'diel celebrates the FFXI city of San d'Oria. There are 26 pieces of art shared. Each one is labeled, so people can see how different designs influenced the final appearance of areas around the city. When people first begin playing FFXI, they will choose their Allegiance to a starting country like Bastok, San d'Oria, or Windurst. Of the three, San d'Oria is known for being the Elvaan home. People who visit can explore the Chateau d'Oraguille, home of the royal family, go to the northern or southern parts of town, or visit the port. You can find the Temple Knights and Royal Knights at the chateau, as well as members of the royal family like King Destin. The area is also known for its Blacksmiths' Guild, Carpenters' Guild, Leathercraft Guild, Tanner's Guild, and Woodworker's Guild. The pieces of art in the gallery showcase a number of points of interest. For example, you can see the auction house plans, the San d'Orian Cathedral's details, guilds like the Blacksmiths' and Carpenters', and important places around the Chateau d'Oraguille. The Kirby Cafe is coming back to Japan with a Winter edition. The official Twitter account confirmed it will return on November 17, 2022. People in Hakata, Nagoya, and Tokyo will be able to visit the pop-ups. Details already appeared not long ago for the cafe's last Nagoya presence in Nagoya Parco back in August 2022. Here's the official announcement, which includes the new art of Kirby and Waddle Dee for the event.
There are no details regarding the menu, merchandise, or music that will appear for Kirby Cafe Winter yet. However, in the past there have been different kinds of food and drinks inspired by entries in the series. The items sold tend to show characters like Kirby and Waddle Dee in chef attire. For example, Karby from Kirby and the Forgotten Land showed up as a menu item. Often soundtracks will appear with new versions of classic tracks that play while folks are visiting the cafe. Past installments also included set-ups with Kirby series decorations. The Kirby Cafe Winter will appear in Hakata, Nagoya, and Tokyo in Japan starting on November 17, 2022. In the Splatoon 3 Salmon Run mode, people can participate to earn a unique piece of gear as a monthly reward, and the Brain Strainer is now available. People who play and earn a certain number of bonus points will be guaranteed the headgear. It is also possible to essentially "reroll" it and get a version with different skills by coming back to play again and earn another one. Like many pieces of silly Splatoon 3 gear, the Brain Strainer is inspired by common, contemporary, household items. It is essentially an upside-down colander being worn as a hat. There are various lights and wires coming out of it, as well as an antennae. It features a Back to the Future sort of vibe. You need to earn 200 bonuses points to get one. Like other items earned from this mode, the Brain Strainer is a part of the Grizzco line, will have four random abilities, and is billed as a two-star item. You can't get it by "ordering" a copy off of someone already wearing one in the hub. This is the third Salmon Run reward so far. When Splatoon 3 launched, people could earn the Bream-Brim Cap. After that, the Lo-Vis Visor appeared in October 2022 as a Splatoon 3 Salmon Run bonus. Splatoon 3 is available for the Nintendo Switch. There is a new Octopath Traveler II character, and the video goes over the 2 cast members Osvald and Partitio. Each one is a party member whose story you'll follow. Partitio is the Merchant of the game. That's the role Tressa filled in the first game. Osvald, like Cyrus, is a Scholar. Here's the full Octopath Traveler II trailer. First, it shows Partitio and how he can spend his money to help his journey. He could buy things from people he meets. You can offer folks you encounter money for their possessions. You can also pay someone on the street to hire them as an ally. That companion can help in battle or when buying or selling. After that, Osvald comes up. With a new character in Genshin Impact comes the whole question about how to outfit them. People can only equip certain kinds of weapons, after all. Also, based on their roles and stats, you may want to focus on certain traits. Both Nahida and her A Thousand Floating Dreams catalyst weapon will appear on Genshin Impact banners starting on November 2, 2022. However, there are a number of different pieces of equipment, both four-star and five-star, that could fit for her. Yes, A Thousand Floating Dreams is Considered the "Default" Weapon for Nahida in Genshin Impact.So, when HoYoVerse introduces a new five-star unit in Genshin Impact, there's always a limited weapon banner with a piece of equipment designed specifically for their needs. In the cast of Nahida, that is the A Thousand Floating Dreams catalyst. Its primary stat is Elemental Mastery, which can hit 265 if a person gets it to level 90. (Naturally, its attack also grows as you build it up, with 542 as the maximum.) In addition to promoting Elemental Mastery, so Nahida's Dendro attacks will hit hard, this catalyst offers buffs for her and her party members. If the other people in her party are also Dendro characters, she will get an additional 32 points of Elemental Mastery per character. If they are from different elements, she'll get a 10% damage bonus for every one of them. Also, the other people in their party will all get 40 points more added to their Elemental Mastery because Nahida is around and equipped this weapon. What About Other Five-Star Weapons?Aside from Elemental Mastery, you'd want to really focus on elemental damage and attack power for Nahida. So another good option could be Kagura's Verity, a catalyst introduced alongside Yae Miko and "made" for her. However, its nature means it is also fantastic for a lot of mages you may want to have on-field. Its primary stat is critical damage, which can get up to 66.2% at level 90. (Its attack can get to 608 at that point.) Its special ability is Kagura Dance of the Sacred Sakura, which increases Elemental Skill damage. This will go up to 12-24% and you can have three stacks of the Kagura Dance effect kick in after using Elemental Skills. If you have three stacks, there's a 12-25% All Elemental DMG bonus that kicks in. It isn't boosting Elemental Mastery for her, but it will help maximize her damage output. Which Four-star Catalyst Weapons Could I Use with Nahida in Genshin Impact?Oh, well, are people lucky for Nahida. There are two catalysts you can get from banners that are fantastic for her, as well as one craftable one that can really help you out. To make things easier, here's a list with the descriptions for the two four-stars from banners that would be well-suited for her.

Kotobukiya has announced a new model kit based on Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time, and it's based on the latest incarnation of the Unit-02. It's formally called the "Evangelion Production Model-New 02α (JA-02 Body Assembly Cannibalized)", but that mouthful can be shortened to Evangelion Unit-02α (for "alpha"). The kit is set to go on sale in April 2023 in Japan. The model stands at 218mm (about 8.6" inches) tall, set to 1/400 scale. As a plastic model kit, it requires assembly, but the different parts are colored, with some pre-painted. As such, users should be able to get close to the desired look without additional painting needed. Having practically destroyed itself at the end of Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, the Evangelion Unit-02α was created by incorporating its remaining parts with the body assembly of something called JA-02. JA-02 is likely a reference to Jet Alone, an automated Eva-like mecha from the original TV series. The Eva Unit-02 head and parts of its torso stick out of the olive drab-colored JA-02 body and legs. Numerous missile and ordnance launchers also stick off its back. Piloted by Asuka Shikinami Langley alongside Mari Makinami Illustrious in the Eva Unit-08γ, the Eva Unit-02α participated in Operation Yamato, the last attempt by WILLE to stop NERV's apocalyptic plans. There's a Front Mission 1st: Remake release date, and it will arrive rather swiftly. Forever Entertainment will release it on November 30, 2022. It will cost $34.99/€34.99. There will also be gameplay shown off on November 3, 2022. This falls in line with the promised release date for the game, which got a November 2022 release window back in September 2022. As for the price, there will be some discounts. It will be 10% off between November 16-30, 2022. That will bring the price down to about $31.49/€31.49. The announcement also mentioned a 15% "owner discount." However, it didn't mention what the criteria would be to get that reduced price. As for the new gameplay trailer for Front Mission 1st: Remake, the YouTube Premiere page is already live. It noted that people can get a look at Switch footage at 6am PT/9am ET/2pm CET. People will get to see what this version of Huffman Island looks like and how the Wanzers look as they head into battle. It should also offer an opportunity to hear the updated soundtrack. The Adventurer's Trials event is about to begin in Genshin Impact, and HoYoVerse offered more details about how it will work and what people will get out of it. As usual, Primogems, Talent Level-up, and Weapon Enhancement materials will be among the rewards people can get. Everything kicks off on November 4, 2022. As long as someone passed Adventure Rank 20, they can participate. Adventurer's Trials will be one of Genshin Impact's Challenge Domains. There will be five steps to it. These can be completed alone or with allies via co-op. The first four are Sequential Trials, with each one featuring three pre-determined challenges. These will involve trial characters, so people won't need to prepare parties. They will be the same each time you head into it. The final trial will be a Fortuitous Trial. This one adds a random element. Again, trial characters will be used. However, it uses randomly generated trials. This means you won't know which three will be in there each time. As for the rewards, here are the items you can earn for taking part. HoYoVerse didn't list specific amounts for each one.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The Nahida and Yoimiya banners and Dendro Hypostasis are now live alongside the 3.2 update.
