Destiny 2 Triumph-hunter shadowevil completes all active objectives

Destiny 2 Triumph-hunter shadowevil completed all active Triumphs in the popular FPS game, capping off a long and arduous but rewarding series of challenges that positions him among a few elite players who have completed the impressive feat.

Destiny 2 has hundreds of Triumphs, some of which include challenging achievements such as earning solo 'Flawless' distinctions on dungeons and 'Flawless' distinctions on raids. Flawless entails beating these activities, which are already some of the most difficult in the game, without dying. However, with hard work and the help of a solid fireteam, shadowevil was able to complete them all.

Yoshiro Kimura and his studio, Onion Games, are known for being off-beat. They make games that go in hard on their own strange internal worlds, wrapping up a particular sense of passion and energy in earnestly oddball humour. Undertale makes for a handy comparison - which makes sense, because many of the team worked on Moon, one of the games that inspired it.

I'm telling you all this because it might pique your interest in their upcoming sandbox RPG, which we now know will be out at some point next year.

sonic frontiers patch

Sega released its first major patch for Sonic Frontiers, and it will fix two major bugs. This patch is only for PS4 and PS5 players. Sega plans on releasing the patch for other consoles and regions in the near future. More information on the schedule will appear on the official Twitter account for Sonic.

Before the patch, players may encounter two bugs. The first one is that the boss on Kronos Island may disappear if you retry the fight. The second one is that a large gimmick on Chaos Island may still appear on the map as "unsolved," even if you already solved it. This patch will fix both of these issues in the PlayStation versions of Sonic Frontiers. Patch 1.10 will also fix random crashing bugs, audio issues, and other minor performance issues. Sega also improved the UI and added some gameplay optimizations. It has also improved the general stability of the game.

While Sega has stated that Patch 1.10 is only for PS4 and PS5 players thus far, Tails' Channel and Push Square reported that it will appear on Xbox and Windows PC as well. However, TheGamer stated that the Xbox Series X version of Sonic Frontiers does not yet have the patch to fix bugs. It is likely that PC and Xbox will simply get the patch before the Nintendo Switch version of the game. But until Sega says anything, only PlayStation players will get the patch for now.

Sonic Frontiers is the newest entry in the Sonic franchise, emphasizing its open-world concept and its RPG format. Sega recently announced a free DLC for the game that will allow Sonic to grill meat and wear Monster Hunter-inspired outfits. You can read our review of Sonic Frontiers here.

Sonic Frontiers is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch. Patch 1.10 for Sonic Frontiers will only be for the PlayStation consoles until further announcements from Sega.

The story focuses on Ruka Minazuki, who returned to an island she had been held captive on during her youth. Like previous games in the series, Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will be a survival horror game that will allow you to protect yourself with a magical camera.

Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will come out for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC on March 9, 2022.

Sonic Frontiers

Sonic Frontiers is the latest entry in the Sonic series, with Sega putting a lot of emphasis on this new take on the decades long franchise. Like other notable Japanese series, like The Legend of Zelda, Sonic is set in an open world in what is arguably one of Sega's most experimental titles in the series. While there are a lot of great ideas thrown into this eclectic, hybrid open world platformer, it doesn't always stick the landing. That said, what Sega attempted is an ambitious step forward in the series in the race to try something new.

The story of Sonic Frontiers is fairly stock and standard. Sonic and friends are whisked away into an unfamiliar world after investigating the disappearance of the Chaos Emeralds. (These remain a staple plot device in the series.) After being sucked into this alternate dimension, Sonic is tasked with restoring his friends from their now mostly incorporeal forms. They are stuck somewhere between Cyber Space and reality. Its narrative is typical fare. Sonic needs to recover the Chaos Emeralds and save his friends. But it sets itself apart is in its open world gameplay.

Sonic Frontiers

The overworld map in Sonic Frontiers feels surprisingly sparse. Handfuls of trees dot the horizon or sometimes break up fields of sparse fields of short grass. The color palette also does it little favors. The scenery features swatches of washed out greens, browns, and grays. Of course there are ruins scattered throughout the map (with the same muted color palette), and more interesting sleek, futuristic platforms and railways that create short environmental puzzles. But these felt like they more or less were placed around the map at random, rarely leading me to anywhere significant or to a Portal Gate. These "doorways" would bring me to the more focused content the game provided.

My experience with the open world was a mostly empty one, with textures popping in and out as I raced at breakneck speeds through the aforementioned areas littered with a few rails, bounce pads, and platforms here and there. There are also overworld bosses that spawn at specific points on the map. These require you to dash through color-coordinated rings to boost your speed in the Asura's case, or time the use of your now stamina-laden dash to reach a weak spot on its body.

Everything is relatively simple. The more challenging aspects of the game are mostly found through its general difficulty selection or padded out by Sonic now having to unlock skills through the acquisition of Skill Pieces. Getting these skill points isn't exactly hard, but it's more or less the tedium in acquiring them when in previous Sonic games most of these unlocks were tied to story progression in the form of items. It isn't egregious in Sonic Frontiers, but it also makes the now combo-based combat fall into a lull fairly early on in the game, since you unlock the best stuff later on.

But where Sonic Frontiers truly shines isn't in its open world exploration or mostly mindless combat. It's in the small, contained Cyber Space segments. Cyber Space levels in Sonic Frontiers appear in two forms — the classic, side-scrolling platformer levels from earlier Sonic games and the 3D rail riding affairs found in the Adventure titles. Both of these types of levels are great! They are often punctuated with vibrant scenery and fast-paced electronic music punctuated with vocals that feel like they were pulled from Sonic R. Because of their constrained nature, these levels feel concise in the experience they deliver. It makes them probably one of the best parts of the game. The music is excellent all around and is also one of the stronger points.

There are a few other activities Sonic can engage in too, like fishing with the notorious (or beloved, depending on who you talk to) Big the Cat. This was one of my favorite pastimes, mostly because I just enjoy fishing and it was a little more involved than I expected it to be. You can also get some pretty decent rewards as well. This makes it more than just a leisurely activity to do on the side if you've gotten a bit tired of racing back and forth across the map. There is also a "pinball mini-game" that is available further in that's also pretty fun.

Unfortunately, outside of these mostly enjoyable gameplay segments Sonic Frontiers suffers from major performance issues on the Nintendo Switch. In addition to texture popping and environments not loading properly, load times are fairly long. There were also instances in which I would be challenging a world boss and, when hit by an attack, major issues would occur. I would either get stuck under it until my invincibility wore off, which would result in a prolonged game over, or I'd rubber band through it and sometimes under the map. Paired with the long load times, this became increasingly frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this version of the game for this reason, along with the fact that playing the game in handheld mode isn't ideal. The camera sits so far behind Sonic that it can be hard to actually make things out on the map if you don't swivel your camera around to try and zoom in.

Sonic Frontiers is a game that is made up of a thousand different interesting ideas, all threaded together in a way that should create something good. But for all it manages to accomplish and for all the great ideas that lurch just beyond the horizon, Sonic Frontiers skids to a halt as it sprints to the finish line. The result is a fragmented and sometimes disjointed mess. Paired with its performance issues, it makes this a tough game to recommend, even if it has pockets of truly enjoyable gameplay that make me excited to see what the developers will come up with next.

Sonic Frontiers is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch.

The best life games on PC in 2022

What are the best life games on PC? Well, it depends on what you're looking for and what kind of fantasy you envision. Daily life might be demanding and exhausting at times, but life games offer a chance to unwind and have greater control over someone else's existence.

It's more than just farming and dating – though there's plenty of that as well. The best life sims probe what it means to be alive, and maybe try transforming into a cat as well because why not. Like life itself, life games come in all forms, and while your mind might leap to games like Stardew Valley and other stalwarts when the genre comes up, there are a host of inventive takes on the formula.

We've sorted through the clones and copies to pick out some of the best life games on PC. Some reward careful management and creativity. Others ask you to be as strange as possible, but will reward you for it anyway, and some have touching stories to tell that might just reveal something about yourself in the process.

Crossplay allows you to play with friends on other platforms, so if you are looking forward to playing the Microsoft exclusive game with friends on Xbox consoles, you'll need crossplay.

Unfortunately, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will not have crossplay on launch, but that's because come the Darktide release date, the co-op game will only be available on PC. The whole game was delayed from September, with the console release still not known, which also means any date for Darktide crossplay or cross-save also remains to be seen.

     Best Darktide weapons

The best Darktide weapons aren't only tools of destruction, they're a means of keeping you and your squad safe. They're used for tearing anything that looks remotely fleshy and are vital in carving a path so that you and yours can live to fight another day. The question is, though; which of these Warhammer 40,000 weapons does their job the best?

Whenever you venture out on the Emperor's orders in the FPS game, you'll have two things on hand; a melee weapon, and a gun. By increasing your Darktide trust levels, you can access shops to buy new gear. Your melee weapons are used when the horde gets a bit too close for comfort, or simply as a plan B should you run out of ammo - they're powerful, but lack damage when you come up against something with armour in the co-op game. Your guns, however, generally lack the ability to take out huge groups of enemies due to ammo constraints but can be great at single-target takedowns, no matter which of the Darktide classes you choose.

Best Darktide Zealot build, weapons, and feats

The best Darktide Zealot build, while primarily focused on hand-to-hand combat, has a versatility that is vital to your squad's chances at survival. The Zealot's central ability, Chastise The Wicked, propels your forward into a group of enemies, but what do you do when you're in the midst of the horde?

This build connects your sustainability and your damage; by utilising the Zealot's Martyrdom ability, you're able to deal consistently high damage as long as you're able to manage your health appropriately, with the Until Death ability saving you should things get out of hand. Your primary focus with this build in the co-op game is to get into the mix and stay there, with your teammates providing additional damage when you need it. Being a one-person army, however, it's likely you won't need any.

     Darktide Penances guide

Darktide Penances can be a bit of a mystery at first, as you'll be receiving points from seemingly out of nowhere when you're bashing heads in Tertium. You'll gain a lot of these points if your missions from the Emperor go well, but what are they, and can they be spent on anything?

If you've been successful in clearing out Pox Walkers from the Tertium underground, then you'll no doubt have a small fortune of Penance points at your disposal. There are multiple forms of currency in the co-op game, with gold perhaps being the most useful of all as it enables you to purchase some of the best Darktide weapons in the armoury, but what can you spend your Penance points on?

Darktide classes guide – Ogryn, Psyker, Veteran, and Zealot details

Each of the four Darktide classes has distinctive weapons and several skills that define their play style. Your choice at the beginning is just the start, as with every trust level gained, you get access to new feats and guns to turn your lowly prisoner into a heretic-purging hero.

As for character archetypes in the multiplayer game, the four Darktide classes are the ranged specialist Veteran, the Psyker, who is Warhammer 40,000's equivalent of a magic user, and two classes that excel with melee weapons: the Zealot and the Ogryn. If they all look a bit drab at first, don't worry, as you can earn Darktide cosmetics by increasing your trust levels or completing a bunch of unique challenges, known as Darktide Penances. Join us now as we consult the codex to get the lowdown on these classes.

Best Darktide Psyker build, weapons, and feats

Want to craft the best Darktide Psyker build? As the magic users of the Imperium, Psykers channel the warp, manipulating it to cave in the craniums of your enemies under intense pressure. They also get buffs for every Warp Charge they gain, which with the right tools equipped, can make them more formidable as the mission continues.

To get the most out of the Psyker, which out of the four Darktide classes, is the one who will likely deal the most damage out of the group, you need to commit to a strategy that may not be the most obvious at first. Since your role as a DPS dealer in the co-op game requires you to stay relatively far away, you will need protection from ranged gunfire - a common threat in the 40K universe.

Best Darktide Ogryn build, weapons, and feats

The best Darktide Ogryn build is more utilitarian than destroyer, but that doesn't mean you can't cave heads in while you're keeping the rest of your squad alive. The Ogryn is as close as you're ever going to get to a living tank; a hulking beast, standing head and shoulders above anyone else in your squad, they wield huge chunks of metal like they're a child's toy, and can withstand an immense amount of punishment.

The Ogryn is such a large target for your enemies that creating a DPS build leaves you extremely vulnerable to ranged fire, especially on harder difficulty levels. Creating sustainability not only helps you stay alive longer, but while you're drawing the ire of the horde in the co-op game, your squad can operate around you and decimate your foes, perhaps even earning some Darktide cosmetics by completing some of the many Penances.

     Darktide Grimoire locations and uses

The Darktide Grimoire locations are collectible items hidden in certain missions, and extracting with them in your inventory can net you some excellent rewards. As we know all too well, you can't take your eye off the hordes in Darktide for a second, lest you be torn limb from limb, but if you're planning on leveling up fast, you're going to want to take a few detours to find the hidden Grimoires.

Anyone familiar with one of the best Warhammer games, Vermintide, may already be familiar with the idea of Grimoires. They were a kleptomaniac's dream in the co-op game; the collectibles were in set locations during each mission, and finishing the level with one in your inventory increased your rarity of loot. However, grimoires in Darktide don't work in the same way and may leave some players scratching their heads.

Katharine quite liked what she played of the town-building RTS last January, but the devs decided feedback from their closed beta meant the game warranted more time in the oven, and thus a third major postponement since the game's original 2018 announcement. Gaming monitors are great, but if we're being realistic, they can very easily become one of the priciest building blocks in your entire PC gaming setup. If you are currently screen shopping, then, your best course of action is probably to take advantage of the current Cyber Monday gaming monitor deals.

My curated picks are all below, and as always, I'm only recommending sufficiently good hardware that's available on a meaningful discount. A couple of our best gaming monitor members are even in here, though it's a broad church overall, with 1080p, 1440p, and 4K screens making the cut alongside the occasional ultrawide model. We're looking for gaming credentials specifically, too, so heightened refresh rates and support for variable sync tech (like FreeSync and G-Sync) are important.

The board game is a hybrid of competitive deckbuilding and exploration, where 1-4 players travel around an overworld collecting cards to play in separate combat encounters. I do dig deckbuilding, but I suspect this might lack a little magic to anyone who isn't after a nostalgia kick.

Mirrorshades cannot be the iconic eyewear of modern-day cyberpunk, I learned during a Microsoft Teams meeting. For decades, cyberpunks, hackers, and internauts have donned a cool pair of shiny shades to strike a cool pose. But mirrorshades are a serious security hazard in this age of video calls: other people can see your screen and desk reflected in the lenses. If you're mirrored up, people can gain access to private data or see if you are, for example, playing Windows Solitaire instead of paying attention to the meeting. So what's a 21st-century cyberpunk to wear? It's not like you can go without cool glasses (or stop playing Solitaire during meetings). I have ideas.

For what has felt like my entire life (but was probably only the months of October and November) every ad I was served on YouTube was for a sale on Her Interactive's Nancy Drew games. I remember it not only because the content is burned into my brain, but because they themed it around getting involved in cosplay, and got a bunch of cosplayers - and no disprespect to them, because they did a great job - to dress as characters from the games. And I kept thinking, like... what? Apart from Ms Drew, what characters are worth cosplaying from a series of licensed Nancy Drew puzzle games?

Anyway it clearly didn't matter, because I saw the ads so often that I went and bought the most recent one out of curiosity. You win, Her Interactive! Midnight In Salem is a spooky mystery wherein Nancy Drew must solve an arson case (with the Hardy Boys in tow, no less) that has possible occult tie ins. It came out in 2019, and is Nancy Drew #33. 33 Nancy Drew games! Imagine. Also, I cannot download it and I have spent over two weeks trying.

Matthias Linda is feeling tense. Chained Echoes, the retro Japanese-inspired RPG he's been working on as a solo dev for the last seven years, is almost ready to release on Steam, but he tells me there's "still so many little and not so little things to do" before the big day hits on December 8th. "[I] still need to patch the languages into the console versions. Still need to pass one submission," he says over email. "I can't really think about the release itself, just about the things I need to finish till then."

But he also says he's "happy at the same time". After a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2019, Chained Echoes has been gradually gathering steam ever since - and judging by the 90-minute demo I was able to play recently, it's clear Linda's got something really quite special here. Not only do its 16-bit-style visuals look absolutely stunning, but its turn-based combat's also unlike anything else I've seen. You've still got your classic list of commands to pick from, but as battles progress you'll need to maintain a kind of flow state known as Overdrive to deal the optimum amount of damage. Overextend your party's abilities and you'll leave yourself vulnerable to critical hits from your enemies, but go too slow and you'll need to build your Overdrive bar back up to regain those lost stat buffs. It's a fascinating system, and was borne out of Linda's desire to "build a bridge between the worlds" of considered, turn-based tactical combat and the fast-paced action of real-time.

How to Find Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's False Dragon Titan Location

When going through the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Path of Legends storyline, finding the location of the False Dragon Titan might prove a bit challenging. This is because while the island in Casseroya Lake where it lives is very clearly marked, you don't see an obvious "Titan" Pokemon there when you arrive. Rather, there's a bit of an investigation that needs to be done.

Also, as a note, there will be spoilers for this part of the Path of Titans storyline below.

How to Find Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's False Dragon Titan Location

How to Find the False Dragon Titan in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

First, you need to make sure you are strong enough to even survive reaching the False Dragon Titan location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Most of the Pokemon around here are about level 50. (Give or take a few levels.) Also, while we never see the Titans' levels, my team featured characters at least at level 48.

When you get to that island, make sure you have a Pokemon with dragon or fairy-type moves in the first position. This is because it is entirely populated with Tatsugiri, and you want to be prepared in case you speak to the "wrong" one. At the very southern tip of the landmass, the one past the small strip of land covered by water, you'll see a single Curly Form Tatsugiri. Speak to that one. It will say, "Ai! Tiaitaaaaaa!" This signifies it is the "titan" you're looking for and will kick off the fight.

How to Find Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's False Dragon Titan Location

How to Defeat the False Dragon Titan in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

This fight ties in to the new Pokemon lore that involves Dondozo and Tatsugiri. Basically, it can "Commander" the Pokemon in Double Battles in-game, and that essentially happens for the False Dragon Titan fight. The first phase involves Dondozo. I recommend having Pokemon with electric and grass-type moves, since it is weak to both of them. If you raised a Meowscarada or Pawmot, both could come in handy!

The second phase of the fight means following Dondozo for a bit as it goes for the herb. Again, this will be clearly marked on the map and it doesn't really "run" at a fast pace. A second fight against it kicks off, with Arven joining you with a Greedent.

Finally, the third phase of this boss battle brings out the Tatsugiri alone. You remember that Pokemon with dragon or fairy-type moves I mentioned earlier? Prepare for its moment to shine as you best it. Once you do, you'll get another scene with Arven and an upgrade for your legendary mount.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available for the Nintendo Switch.

Good Smile Company's Next Berserk Figure is a Guts Nendoroid

At WonHobby G 2022 Autumn, Good Smile Company announced work on a new Berserk figure, which will be a Guts Nendoroid. There are no concrete details about it yet. It is so early in development that only a placeholder image appeared as part of the reveal.

Here is the announcement for the Berserk Guts Nendoroid.

While this will be Good Smile Company's first Nendoroid of Guts, it made plenty of Berserk figures in the past. For example, there are Band of the Hawk and Berserker Armor figmas. There are scale figures too. In addition to Guts, other characters from the series appeared as merchandise too. There are figures of Femto and Skull Knight as well.

As a reminder, major Berserk news is on the way. The official website is counting down to a reveal. On December 10, 2022 at 9:30am CT/12:30am ET/6:30pm CET, some kind of announcement tied to the series will appear. The Berserk: The Golden Age Memorial Edition anime also began airing in October 2022.

There is no release date yet for the new Berserk Guts Nendoroid. People can stream the anime via Crunchyroll. Dark Horse Manga handles the manga.

Good Smile Company offered another look at the its new Chun-Li figure, which will be its first Street Fighter Nendoroid

As part of the WonHobby G 2022 Autumn announcements was a peek at a Street Fighter figure. Good Smile Company showed the Chun-Li costume in her classic Street Fighter costume. This time, she showed up as a painted prototype.

Here's the first look at the figure. She's striking a dynamic pose, with a leg part that makes it look like she's about to start kicking a foe. It also features the character with a more serious faceplate.

While Good Smile Company hasn't made a Street Fighter Nendoroid before Chun-Li, it worked on other figures before. At Anime Expo 2022, it showed off the Chun-Li and Cammy Pop Up Parade figures. That is the company's budget line. Those tend to be around seven inches tall and cost tend to cost ¥3,900 (~$28) each.

Chun-Li's next major role will be in Street Fighter 6. She was one of the first confirmed fighters for the game. She'll show up both with a new look and her Classic costume.

There's no release date for the Street Fighter Chun-Li Nendoroid yet. Street Fighter 6 will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2023.

Next New Shonen Jump Manga Series is Ichigoki's Under Control

Shonen Jump's run of new manga series continues with Ichigoki's Under Control. This is the third of four new titles debuting in the magazine. It's written by Seiji Hayashi, who also created I'm from Japan. People can read it in English via Viz Media and Manga Plus.

Ichigoki's Under Control begins with Kai Ichigoki at school. However, when his friends talk to him, his head turns 180 degrees around. It's then revealed that his childhood friend Misao Chiisaki is inside his head, essentially piloting him like a mech. She's essentially a teen mad scientist. After a previous experiment left her incredibly small, Kai took her to the zoo to extract certain ingredients. While doing so, a gorilla attack killed Kai. However, Misao resurrected him by turning him into a robot and acting as his pilot. If she isn't in the cockpit, his body goes haywire. Until she can make him into a full cyborg, the two need to learn to get by together.

The two other new Shonen Jump manga series are The Ichinose Family's Deadly Sins and Cipher Academy. The fourth one will appear in December 2022.

Ichigoki's Under Control is available to read via Viz Media and Manga Plus. The next chapter will appear on December 3, 2022.

As part of the Good Smile Company WonHobby G 2022 Autumn announcements, the Atelier Ryza 3 Reisalin Stout figure appeared

As part of the Good Smile Company WonHobby G 2022 Autumn announcements, the Atelier Ryza 3 Reisalin Stout figure appeared. It appears to be rather far along in development. The example shown during the event was a painted prototype.

Here's a closer look at Good Smile Company's first Atelier Ryza 3 figure. She's wielding a staff, as usual. This new one looks like a variation of Celestial Seeker, a weapon she wielded in the original game. There's the same pinwheel design at the top. There's also a flag attached to the top of it. As for her outfit, it calls back to ones worn in the past game both in terms of its color scheme and style.

Earlier in November 2022, new key art showed off Ryza and other characters returning for this third entry. People could see how Lent Marslink, Klaudia Valentz, and Tao Mongarten will look this time around.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key will come out on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam on February 24, 2023 worldwide. There's no release window for Good Smile Company's Atelier Ryza 3 figure yet. However, Alter has a figure of Reisalin coming out in 2023.

Genshin Impact December 2022 Calendar Stars Ganyu, Birthdays

A new month is about to begin, which means HoYoVerse prepared a new image. The Japanese Twitter account shared the Genshin Impact December 2022 calendar, complete with Ganyu as the featured character and a host of birthdays. It continues the trend set with past calendars of showing chibi versions of characters' faces on their birthdays. Also, new folks like Dori, Layla, Nilou, and Tighnari appear.

First, here's a closer look at the Genshin Impact December 2022 calendar.
Genshin Impact December 2022 Calendar Stars Ganyu, Birthdays

As for the December birthdays, Ganyu got to be the "star" Genshin Impact character as hers came first. It is December 2nd. Here's the full list of birthdays coming up this month. If you show up in-game that day, you get a "gift" in your mailbox from the character with items like their favorite meal.

  • December 2nd: Ganyu
  • December 3rd: Nilou
  • December 19th: Layla
  • December 21st: Dori
  • December 29th: Tighnari
  • December 31st: Zhongli

It is unknown how these calendars will work when January 2023 comes around. The very first one, back in January 2022, kicked off the trend with the first character whose birthday came up would be the "star" of the calendar.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. The 3.3 update will appear on December 7, 2022. The current Childe and Yae Miko rerun banners will appear until December 6, 2022.

At WonHobby G 2022 Autumn, Good Smile Company shared the prototypes for the Helltaker Cerberus and Modeus Nendoroids.

Good Smile Company's WonHobby G 2022 Autumn event involved a peek at the Helltaker Cerberus and Modeus Nendoroids. Prototypes of each of the characters appeared. Cerberus' were in painted forms, suggesting they are further along. Meanwhile, the Modeus one showed up as an unpainted prototype.

First, here's a look at how the Cerberus Helltaker Nendoroids will look. The characters appear as a set of triplets in-game. Following a survey asking which folks from the series should get figures next, they were among the characters chosen. Good Smile Company didn't note how it would handle this one, given all three characters always show up at once. However, it seems there could be one standard-sized Nendoroid produced.
See the Helltaker Cerberus and Modeus Nendoroids 1

As for Modeus, her figure showcases some of her telltale Helltaker accents and accessories. For example, there are hearts in her eyes. Also, there are hearts all around her head.

There are already two Nendoroids for the game out. The first figure was of Lucifer. Justice appeared after that.

Helltaker is available for PCs for free on Steam. However, there is a $9.99 version that includes a digital art book and recipe for pancakes. There are no release windows for the Cerberus or Modeus Nendoroids yet.

Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes Clarke and Hot Springs Details Shared

The new Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes character Clarke, details about the Theater, and insight into preparation of its Hot Springs area came up in the November 2022 update. Clarke runs the theater in-game, which will feature voiced lines for its "shows." Also, Producer and Art Director Junichi Murakami brought up challenges in creating hot springs versions of characters, while still making them recognizable.

With the hot springs, Murakami noted that the Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes character designs meant it was easier to keep people distinct when preparing their sprites. He noted that he didn't encounter as much trouble when making each one.

Here's his full statement from the Steam update.

Simply putting characters into hot springs is tough in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. One scene alone means X(100 + α) more cuts to make (lol).

To that end, and to avoid panicking down the road, I'm doing my own work whenever I get a chance. But in doing that, I'm faced with a number of questions.

For example, "Isn't it weird for this character to wear a hat in the hot spring?" or "They'll have to tie their long hair up before getting in the water," are just for starters. What about what they're wearing under their outfits?

I approached one character after the other, putting together bath time versions for each, and after a while it's now possible to tell who is who, even in their bare pixel form! How cool is that?

I was actually a little worried.

You see, usually changing the costume, accessories or other distinctive features like a character's hairstyle on their pixel art is likely to make many of them look the same as one another, especially as there are so many. But that didn't happen this time. The individuality of each character is pretty clear.

I think this comes down to everyone having unique physiques and physical expressions—something we talked about a few times at Tokyo Game Show.

As for the theater, it will be a minigame which lets people assign characters to roles in plays. There will be voice lines for this segments. This area is tied to Clarke, a 55-year-old man whose wife divorced him because he became so invested in running it. He's from The League of Nations and is very mature and well-dressed. He's also very passionate about his work.

Here's the Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Clarke art:

Dirge of Cerberus Remake

Members of the Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core Reunion team confirmed that there are currently "no plans" for a FFVII Before Crisis or Dirge of Cerberus remake or remaster. The info comes from an interview with Korean site Ruliweb.comwhich spoke to Crisis Core Reunion Executive Producer Yoshinori Kitase, Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura, and Producer Mariko Sato. Also hinted at in the interview were why the team chose to remaster Crisis Core Reunion in the first place, and how it's connected to the Final Fantasy VII Remake project. [Thanks, @xenosaga7]

According to Nomura, a Dirge of Cerberus remake would be "confusing" to experience before the main story of the FFVII Remake project is completed. This is because the story of Dirge of Cerberus takes place three years after the conclusion of Final Fantasy VII. As such, there are no plans yet to work on a remaster or remake of that title. Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII originally released in 2006 on the PS2, and put players in control of Vincent Valentine, a "secret" character from FFVII. While Vincent himself has yet to appear in the FFVII Remake trilogy, Weiss from Dirge of Cerberus appeared as a secret boss in Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.

There are also "no plans" currently to do an FFVII Before Crisis remake or remaster, as Square Enix is still assessing "overseas demand". Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII was a Japan-exclusive mobile action-RPG released on NTT DoCoMo's FOMA 900i series cellphones. Its planned overseas release was cancelled as popular western "feature phones" didn't meet the technical requirements needed.

When asked why the team chose to remaster Crisis Core, Kitase answered that producing Crisis Core Reunion fits in the timeframe between installments of the FFVII Remake trilogy. It takes a long time to produce games on that scale, but the team wanted fans to have ways to keep experiencing the story and world of Final Fantasy VIICrisis Core represented and interesting opportunity, because of how Zack is front-and-center for that game's story. Thus Crisis Core filled that need.

As for how Crisis Core Reunion fits in with Final Fantasy VII Remake, Nomura said that the team has changed nothing from the original Crisis Core, narratively speaking. This makes the story seem "inconsistent" with that presented in Remake, and that contradiction is "intentional." However, Nomura encouraged fans to be patient, and play the FFVII Remake trilogy to its conclusion, which will reveal why Crisis Core Reunion's story is not contradictory at all.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will come out for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on December 13, 2022. The original Crisis Core FFVII is available for the PSP.

Street Fighter II Pocky

Glico is going a step further for its crossover event with Capcom. From November 29, 2022, the companies will bring a classic fighting game together with a classic snack. The result: Street Fighter II Pocky. [Thanks, Dengeki!]

The Street Fighter II Pocky promo mainly involves specially decorated packages of chocolate-flavor Pocky. Pocky is the classic Japanese snack consisting of flavor-coated biscuit sticks, sold in Japan and around the world since 1966. The special "Pocky KO" limited edition packages feature the character sprites from the game on the box and snack wrappers.

The other key aspect to the promotion is a special PC and mobile-based edition of Street Fighter II itself. Called Street Fighter II Pocky Edition, the web-based game can be accessed by entering a code included in the Pocky KO packages into the campaign site. Rather than standard SFII, the Pocky Edition adjusts the game graphics to be more Pocky-like. For example, the health bar is replaced with a "Pocky chocolate-to-pretzel ratio." There's also a special "Pocky KO" rule where players have to defeat their opponents once their health hits the right chocolate-to-pretzel ratio of coating on a Pocky stick. Victory screens and poses have also been modified to feature Pocky. The game supports single-player play as well as online multiplayer play.

Glico also teased the creation of a physical arcade cabinet to house Street Fighter II Pocky Edition, though the details will be published on the campaign site when the promotion launches.

This also isn't the first time Pocky hooked up with Street Fighter. In 2019, Glico and Capcom launched the Pocky K.O. Challenge Campaign ahead of the 2019 Capcom Cup, though it used Street Fighter V. This was where the the "Pocky Ratio" rule was debuted.

The Street Fighter II Pocky promotion launches in Japan on November 29, 2022.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzen RemakeThere's a small chance of a Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan remake sometime in the future. This was suggested in an interview by Ungeek which sat down with the executive producer, Masayoshi Yokoyama, and chief director, Hiroyuki Sakamoto, from Ryu Ga Gokotu Studio. There they explain the desire to remake Kenzan, as well as the difficulties surrounding it. For starters, Yokoyama says that it "would require an entire new game of its own to really give it what it deserves." So remaking Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan wouldn't be a simple matter. Yokoyama then goes on to explain that "it would require a lot of time and a lot of effort," which isn't a surprise given the game's age. Finally, he says that "Like a Dragon: Ishin would have to become a huge hit on the market to start that conversation alone." So, even if the team wanted to remake Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan, there are a lot of boxes to tick first. A Kenzan remake is possible Fans of the series were hoping ...
