Genshin Impact Genius Invokation is perhaps the most ambitious addition to the 3.3 update later this year. It's a trading card game on PC that lives within the ultra-popular free game. Luckily, you can also play against your friends, but Mihoyo has only confirmed that this is for fun, with no rewards obtainable from playing against real people.

Once you get your first Genshin Impact Genius Invokation deck, you can challenge a host of other in-game characters who happen to also be card game fans at the Puspa Café in Sumeru City. While we've seen glimpses of the cards, the main question likely on everyone's mind is just how exactly do you play the new Genshin Impact trading card game (TCG)? Sadly, we can only speculate as this is an upcoming mode. However, we can at least give you a sneak peek at some of the cards, our observations based on the footage shown, and let you know which characters you can play against in the Puspa Café.

The best open-world games on PC in 2022

Looking for the best open-world games on PC? From the early days of gaming, with Ultima and Lords of Midnight, open-world games have always been right at home on PC - indeed, those pesky consoles often couldn't handle it. Compare the ambitious early version of Halo to the final, more confined result, for example - and only the PC could hold sprawling regions in the very first Elder Scrolls games. Nevertheless, the leap into full 3D with Grand Theft Auto 3 and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind really brought the idea of open-world gaming to the masses.

These days, open-world games are their own genre. You can find accurate depictions of real-life cities or countries, huge fictional expanses with their own landmarks, complete worlds to check out - or even entire galaxies, depending on where you want to go on your next adventure in one of the best open world games on PC.

Given the genre's broader scope, the coolest thing about them is that they can come in various forms: the important feature is that they allow you to explore freely. As such, our list of top open world games features everything from the best FPS games to racing games with massive worlds to drive through.

The best hacking games on PC in 2022

Looking for a list of the best hacking games on PC? Game developers have long valued the 'hacker ethic' — the will and skill to grab a game by the scruff of its code, rip it apart, and put the pieces together in a new way. Id Software prioritized the nascent modding community when they were creating Doom, Valve courted it from Half-Life onward and the entirety of the MOBA genre stems from folks futzing with Warcraft III.

Of course, most players are just that: players. We see numbers and letters in a line of code; not meaning. But, there's a lineage of games that have sought to deliver the fantasy of being in complete command of a computer's functions; of using that control to wreak destruction, or to avert it. Whether part of the sci-fi world of a multitude of space games, encouraging team work in one of the best co-op games, or of course putting you in the hacker's seat of an RPG game, we've got something for everyone in our list of the best hacking games.

Sons of the Forest release date and everything we know so far

The Sons of the Forest release date has been a hard one to pin down. Seemingly in a horror survival of its own, every time we get close to it, it manages to wriggle free and escape our clutches. The anticipated follow up to the acclaimed The Forest was slated for release in May 2022, but developer Endnight Games deemed this date "overly ambitious", pushing its release to late 2022. Apparently that too was overly ambitious, and a new release date was set - will this one stick?

Beyond announcements concerning the Sons of the Forest release date, Endnight Games is keeping details about the survival game remarkably close to its chest, and comms have been few and far between. Aside from a handful of creepy teaser trailers, we've been kept in the dark about what players can expect from the horror game. The Sons of the Forest Steam page is similarly brief, but promises crafting, co-op, and yes – cannibals.

Best battle royale games: what are the top BR games in 2022?

The best battle royale games come in all shapes and sizes, but they all revolve around one core idea: lots of players go in, and only one leaves. Battle royale is a violent, unpredictable, and frenzied multiplayer mode where the only goal is to endure until you're the sole survivor.

All tactics and styles of play are equally viable in the best battle royale games. You can win by hiding in bushes and waiting for the herd to thin out, or scavenge a weapon and start reducing the numbers yourself. With the explosion of Fortnite, Warzone 2, and Apex Legends, you would be forgiven for thinking there are only three battle royales out there, but there are now numerous other contenders to challenge them, each with its own spin on the established formula. And with player counts fluctuating all over the place, it's important to know the most popular battle royale games so you can be sure to get a match.

Whether you're after a battle royale FPS game like Warzone 2 or an inventive new twist on the formula, there's something out there for everyone. So, to help you broaden your horizons, we have assembled this handy guide to the best battle royale games on PC.

Where to find Fortnite dirt bikes

Want to drive Fortnite dirt bikes across the island? Introduced during Chapter 4 Season 1, they have great traction, allowing you to speed up hills and use them as ramps to pull off sick tricks. The points don't matter a great deal, but at least you can easily travel around off-road, and no matter the road surface, you can reach similar top speeds.

In the battle royale game, you can find Fortnite dirt bikes in many places, though we recommend searching towns, gas stations, and parking spaces on the side of roads on the Fortnite map are the best places to look. The dirt bikes also have the distinct advantage of allowing you to shoot and drive simultaneously, something previously only doable while riding Fortnite animals.

The best dinosaur games for PC in 2022

Looking for a list of the best dinosaur games on PC in 2022? Whether you're looking to hunt the Mesozoic monsters or want to stomp and chomp humans while playing as them, the appeal of dinosaurs in gaming is endless.

What is not endless, however, is the number of dino games that successfully realise that fantasy. Let's be honest: until recently, fans of dinosaurs and big guns haven't exactly walked the primrose path, even on PC. It's been a long hard road, marked by velociraptors that look like lumpy dogs, rifles that feel as satisfying as lobbing a bullet by hand, and jeeps that seem to magnetically roll themselves into a nearby ditch, no matter what keys you press.

Still, the undeniable lure of blasting a T-Rex in the face with a grenade launcher continues to resonate with a great portion of the gaming public, and while few triple-A developers have proffered quality dino games, there are a few ambitious indie dinosaur games that fill the gap in the market. If dino thrills are what you're looking for, here are the best dinosaur games on PC.

How to unlock the Fortnite Doom Slayer skin

Do you want the Fortnite Doom Slayer skin? There have been rumblings that the Doom Guy was coming to the island for the longest time, but it's now here, albeit with very little fanfare. You'd think that Cacodemons would cover the island, throwing fireballs all over the place, but alas, they're just an unlockable glider.

To get the Fortnite Doom Slayer skin, you must purchase the Chapter 4 Season 1 battle pass, reach level 26, and unlock all of the items that appear before it on page five. You're going to have to play a lot of matches in the battle royale game, so the best way to speed up the process is to complete the available quests. Some early quests this season require you to find Fortnite Oathbound chests to gather the most lethal Fortnite weapons available this season: the Ex-Caliber Rifle and the Shockwave Hammer. Keep grinding and you should soon get there.

Bay 12 Games's hugely ambitious colony sim, which is notionally a game about building a fortress for small, bearded humanoids, but is really an engine for generating elaborate fantasy histories and player-driven stories within them, has been in active development since 2003, with an initial launch in 2006. Since then, it has been continually developed by brothers Tarn and Zach Adams, who have added a truly wild amount of stuff over the last two decades. It's also famously as impenetrable as its title suggests, mainly due to its ASCII visuals and unwieldy, keyboard-exclusive control scheme.

Fire Emblem Engage Griss Mauvier

Nintendo revealed the final two members of the "Four Hounds." Griss and Mauvier are the two newest characters and villains in the upcoming TRPG Fire Emblem Engage.

Griss is the right hand of Zephia, leader of the "Four Hounds," the villain group of Fire Emblem Engage. He is an unhinged sorcerer that practices dangerous magic arts and has a penchant for violence. Gris is merciless in the battlefield, and he appears to grow stronger the more damage he receives. Despite his scary personality, he seems to rely on Zephia as their leader.

https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1600030941380227072

Mauvier is the complete opposite of Griss. He is an honest, loyal soldier and a simple man. He is the most composed of the "Four Hounds," but no one truly knows what his real thoughts and intentions are.

https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1600031865909694464

Kenjiro Tsuda will voice Griss in the Japanese dub of Fire Emblem Engage. He is best known as the voice of Zeke in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Genichirō Ashina in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Seto Kaiba in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise.

Tomoaki Maeno will voice Mauvier in Fire Emblem Engage. He has previously voiced Kyo Kusanagi in The King of Fighters franchise, Denam Pavel in Tactics Ogre: Reborn, and Zhongli in Genshin Impact.

Fire Emblem Engage will come out worldwide on January 23, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.

Forest Pokemon 2

Takara Tomy Arts released a new wave in its "Forest Pokemon" capsule toy line, which first debuted in February 2022. As with the first wave, the second set introduces a handful of new Pokemon from across the series to relax and play near a tree. The first set included Pikachu, Starly, Buneary, and Munchlax. The Forest Pokemon 2 set adds another iconic Pokemon, Bulbasaur, followed by fellow Generation I Pokemon Butterfree and Pinsir. Treecko from Pokemon Emerald represents Generation III [Thanks, Famitsu!].

Each of the Forest Pokemon 2 toys comes with the Pokemon itself and a small model tree. The idea behind the set is to collect more than one, with the plastic "forest" growing thicker with each Pokemon purchased. Bulbasaur is seen cradling a toy duck in its vines. Butterfree sits on a grassy mound, Treecko reclines in the shade, and Pinsir stands guard in ready position. Butterfree's tree also comes with a small grassy ring around its base. Each of the figures in the set stands at about 3.6cm (1.4 inches) tall, with the tree standing 8.8cm (3.5 inches) tall. The toys are available individually via capsule machines scattered throughout Japan, at a price of 300 Yen (about $2.20 USD) per attempt.

Trails of Cold Steel Crow Armburst Figure Appears Next Year

Kotobukiya is preparing yet another The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel figure, and this one is of Crow Armburst. This will mark the first scale figure of the character. It will appear in Japan in May 2023. The standard version will be 19,000円 (~$139). There will also be a deluxe version for 22,000円 (~$161). That includes extra parts for both the Crow and already-available Rean Schwarzer figures.

This version of Crow will be a 1/8th scale figure. This means he'll stand at almost 10 inches tall. The basic version of the figure has him wielding his Double Sabre. Here's how that one looks.

The deluxe version includes additional arm parts to swap in. Each one has him holding a orbal pistol in his hand. Someone can then mix and match, so he is wielding the Double Sabre and a gun at the same time. You can also change his facial expression with this one. He can be posed either smiling or shouting.

On the base of both versions of the figure is the Azure Knight Ordine.

Rei Ayanami Wears Her Black Plugsuit in Rebuild of Evangelion Figure

Another Rei Ayanami figure is on the way, and this time it is a Rebuild of Evangelion one showing her in her black plugsuit. It is based on her Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo appearance, complete with optional SDAT poses. It will show up in May 2023 in Japan. In July 2023, a North American release will follow. Good Smile Company noted it will cost ¥33,000/$229.99, and pre-orders are open.

As this is a 1/4 scale figure, Rei is quite tall. She'll stand at about 16 inches. There is only one optional part, which involves the SDAT. People can switch her right arm. One part has her hand over her chest and is empty. The other looks like it is holding the player.

In the Rebuild of Evangelion films, the Shinji's SDAT player is rather prominently featured. Over the course of the movies, it eventually goes from him to Rei.

Here's a closer look at the Rebuild of Evangelion Rei Ayanami figure in her black plugsuit. Due to the color of the SDAT, it is often difficult to tell when she is or isn't holding it. In one photo, a CD is next to her to provide a sense of scale.

This Rebuild of Evangelion Rei Ayanami figure will appear in Japan in May 2023 and in North America in July 2023. Pre-orders for it are open until February 9, 2023. The Rebuild of Evangelion films are available to watch on Amazon Prime.

Fire Emblem Engage Yunaka new character

Nintendo introduced Yunaka, a new character and party member, along with the "Thief" class for Fire Emblem Engage. This is the latest entry in the long-standing SRPG series, ahead of its January 23, 2023 release date. She will be another ally for the group.

https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1600032974439067654

Yunaka is a mysterious girl that the party meets during their travels. Alear and Alfred stumble upon her while she searches for a lost item. She is a cheerful and energetic person who can easily get along with anyone, even with people she has just met, all thanks to her easygoing and friendly demeanor.

https://twitter.com/FireEmblemJP/status/1600033755112308737

Yunaka starts with the Thief class. Thieves are experts at lock picking and can use their swift movements to toy with their enemies at will. Their proficiency with daggers allows them to poison foes.

Yunaka is voiced by Ai Fairouz in the Japanese dub of Fire Emblem Engage. She previously voiced Jolyne Cujoh in the anime adaptation of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Sei Shōnagon in Fate/Grand Order, and Power in Chainsaw Man. It is currently unknown who will voice Yunaka in the English dub of Fire Emblem Engage.

Yunaka is reminiscent of previous incarnations of the iconic merchant Anna, who will return in Fire Emblem Engage. But, unlike Anna, Yunaka shows a serious and dangerous side during combat.

Fire Emblem Engage will come out worldwide on January 23, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.

Dragon Quest Treasures Has No Multiplayer, But Offers Online Treasure Hunts

There's no traditional multiplayer in Dragon Quest Treasures. However, there is a way to interact with others, in a way. Square Enix's latest announcement about the game goes over The Gang Network. This is a feature that allows you to interact with other players by sharing Treasure Hunts and Treasure Tours in Dragon Quest Treasures. Both require Nintendo Switch Online.

Here's how the Dragon Quest Treasures The Gang Network and its asynchronous multiplayer works. When you check in with the NPC AL4N at your hub, you can access both online options. With a Treasure Hunt, you can hide treasure, seek treasure, set up the randomiser, and check your hidden treasures. When you hide a treasure, you pick a location and spot on in Draconia for others to download and seek. When found, it makes your treasure more valuable based on the number of downloads. When you or someone else finds a treasure this way, you'll find a replica of the actual item. This can be sold at a shop like B. Rix's Emporium for money.

The Treasure Tour is basically a way to show off your monsters and treasures to other Dragon Quest Treasures players without traditional multiplayer. There are two options. You can manage monsters or welcome monsters. You choose which monster and treasure for the management section and can send it out. With the welcome section, you can see others' monsters or enter specific Gang ID and secret passwords from friends to get their character. Again, these actions can raise the value of your treasure if the person who sees it "likes" it. Also, when you see a visiting monster and its treasure with a Treasure Tour, you get a replica of the item you can sell.

Dragon Quest Treasures will come to the Nintendo Switch on December 9, 2022.

Pokemon Scarlet Violet Tyranitar Salamence Tera Raid

The next set of Tera Raid Battles will involve a pair of classics from Generations II and III. Tyranitar from Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal,  and Salamence from Pokemon RubySapphire, and Emerald. The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tyranitar and Salamence Tera Raids are scheduled to begin on December 9, 2022. These will run through December 11, 2022. The Pokemon leading the Raid battle will be different based on the player's version of the game. Owners of Pokemon Scarlet will face Tyranitar, and Pokemon Violet mains will face Salamence [Thanks, Inside!].

Both Tyranitar and Salamence will show up in their respective four-star and five-star raids. Though the battles are not listed as having a fixed Tera Type, the promo image shows off a Ghost-Tera type Tyranitar and a Steel Tera-type Salamence. Tyranitar's regular typing is Rock and Dark, while Salamence is usually Dragon and Flying.

Tera Raid Battles like the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tyranitar and Salamence raids allow players to encounter Pokemon that would be rare or even unavailable in Paldea under normal circumstances. The previous Tera Raid centered on classic Pokemon Eevee and Charizard. As with previous Raid events, defeating the featured Pokemon gives players a chance to capture them. And if the current Raid works like last time, players that beat Tyranitar and Salamence will only be able to them to their teams once.

Tyranitar first appeared in Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. The large Tyranitar is described as being able to shake the ground and alter the landscape with its very strength. It's also quite insolent, caring little about others and spending its time seeking challenges and opponents to fight.

Salamence appeared in Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. It evolves from Shelgon and is the final form of Bagon. Unlike its previous forms, Salamence grew wings thanks to the strength of its desire to fly.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch. Check out Siliconera's official review of the games.

See the Atelier Ryza 3 Playable Characters' 3D Models and Art

All sorts of details about the Atelier Ryza 3 playable characters appear in sets of 3D models and art design documents. Gust and Koei Tecmo showed an array of images looking at both new and old members of the cast. These showed up alongside the Atelier Fanart 2022 campaign. The idea is that these can assist when people are creating their own fan art of characters. The Japanese Twitter account also mentioned them being helpful for cosplay purposes.

First, here are all the Atelier Ryza 3 playable characters' 3D models from different angles.
[gallery columns="6" ids="942261,942259,942257,942258,942263,942260,942256,942255,942262,942264,942265" link="file"]

Next, here is the art of the different characters. These are more detailed and focus on their outfits. Each one focuses on on different elements, which could be helpful when drawing people or making real-world outfits based on their designs. Ryza and Klaudia's sheets are especially intricate.
[gallery columns="6" ids="942253,942266,942267,942268,942269,942270,942271,942272,942273,942274,942275" link="file"]

Gust and Koei Tecmo are pretty good about regularly sharing art of Atelier Ryza 3 playable characters. For example, the key visual did exactly that. It showed Ryza with her childhood friends Klaudia, Lent, and Tao.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key will come to the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam on February 24, 2023 worldwide.
