He's a systems engineer by trade, so he knows his way around the dense innards of space vessels. He's also handy around a toolbox and is more than familiar with high-risk equipment like the Plasma Cutter. Oh, and he's remarkably good at slicing and dicing necromorphs into juicy squelchy lumps. What a resume! But did you know that our favourite space engineer also has lots of secret talents too? When Dead Space originally came out in the back end of 2008, his corporate overseers at EA sent Mr. Clarke to do all sorts of odd jobs before he popped off on the believeable, but bleak USG Ishimiura. Golf caddy, professional skateboarder, even a part-time dragon slayer. Heck, he's recently been back on the second gig train with his stint in Fortnite just earlier this week. Dead or Alive series publisher Koei Tecmo took action against an unauthorized seller of DOA body pillows in Japan. The company referred the offender to the Kanagawa Prefectural Police for violations of copyright on January 24, 2023 [Thanks, Famitsu!]. According to the announcement from Koei Tecmo, the offender possessed DOA body pillows (also called "dakimakura" or "hug pillows") with covers that "adapted or copied the appearance" of characters from Dead or Alive without authorization. The offender possessed 22 body pillows and pillow covers purchased online with intent to resell them to others. The pillow designs featured six characters who appear in Dead or Alive 6, which had been modified in various ways. The modifications included deleting their clothes. The announcement didn't list which characters were found in the offender's stash of DOA body pillows, but did mention that the character Marie Rose was among them. In its statement, Koei Tecmo condemned the act as "extremely malicious" and damaging to the image of Dead or Alive. Such acts of copyright infringement are relatively common, and this isn't the first time Koei Tecmo (and Tecmo before it) took action on behalf of Dead or Alive specifically. In the past it cracked down on vendors selling things like videos created using versions of Dead or Alive games that used similar "nude mods". The secondary market for fan-created works is very active, and many companies producing IP will issue "derivative works" guidelines to advise creators on what sort of content can be created and monetized without them. For example, in 2021 HoYoVerse (then miHoYo) listed rules on creating fan-made merchandise based on Genshin Impact. Uma Musume publisher Cygames also updated its guidelines to caution creators against making and selling work that "damaged" the names of the real-life racehorses that are represented in-game. A metaverse attraction called Naruto X Boruto VR will go live in Spring 2023. This will be a VR ninja training experience. You will be able to have Kakashi, Sakura, Naruto, Boruto, Sasuke, or Itachi to train you in the arts of ninjutsu. The Naruto X Boruto VR Mission: Zero experience will run from March 21, 2023 to May 28, 2023 in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. It will cost between 2,500 and 3,000 JPY, depending on what day you go. There are four different missions that you have to complete in order to be a full-fledged Konoha shinobi. Your first training is to learn how to run and jump through a VR recreation of Konoha. Then, you learn how to use the Rasengan and aim it at enemy ninjas. Afterwards, you learn how to imbue a sword with chakra and then smack people with it. Finally, you have to use your training to defend the village from Shukaku. The Naruto x Boruto VR experience will likely be a limited time attraction rather than a gaming experience you can purchase or take home. The game will randomly select a trainer for you. It is unclear if characters like Sasuke or Sakura will teach you moves other than the Rasengan if they train you. After your training, you can purchase limited edition merchandise from the site or take pictures with Naruto characters in VR. The Naruto X Boruto VR attraction will be available from March 21, 2023 to May 28, 2023 in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. Hu Tao is one of the best Pyro DPS characters in Genshin Impact, but your artifacts can really make or break how useful she is. There are a few options that you can put on her depending on how you want to play her. In general, though, she works best as a constant on-field DPS rather than an Elemental Burst nuke character. So you should build her with that in mind. Here are some artifacts that you can put on your Hu Tao: 4 PC Crimson Witch of Flames Hu Tao's best-in-slot artifact set is the Crimson Witch of Flames. At 2 pieces, it increases her Pyro DMG by 15%. At 4 pieces, it increases the DMG from Pyro Elemental Reactions, as well as boosts the 2-piece bonus when you use an Elemental Skill. This is a set that works no matter what party you run your Hu Tao with. You can use her as a solo Pyro DPS, or as part of a Melt or Vaporize party. 4 PC Shimenawa's Reminiscence Shimenawa's Reminiscence is a set that focuses more on Hu Tao's Normal Attack and Elemental Skill. This is because with a 4-piece bonus, you give up Energy for a 50% DMG boost on her other attacks. Hu Tao's main bread and butter really comes more from her Normal Attack and Elemental Skill rather than her Burst though, so that isn't so bad. However, because Shimenawa's Reminiscence does not offer any major bonuses to her Pyro DMG (which is all she does), you have to carefully choose each piece in this set if you want it to be as effective as the other choices. 2 PC Tenacity + 2 PC Crimson Witch/2 PC Gladiator/2PC Shimenawa Hu Tao's Elemental Skill increases her ATK based on her Max HP. So when you are choosing artifacts for Hu Tao, it does not hurt to have a HP% Sands rather than ATK. Because of this, a 2-piece Tenacity set helps to increase how much her Skill will boost her ATK. There is no need to go for the whole 4-piece since the 4-piece skill is more support-oriented. So you can use your choice of an attack-boosting 2-piece for your remaining slots. 4 PC Lavawalker Because Hu Tao is a pure Pyro DPS, your opponent will always have Pyro on them. This will allow you to activate the 4-piece bonus effect of the Lavawalker set. For reference, a 4-piece Lavawalker will give a 35% DMG increase when you hit an opponent affected by Pyro. This is one of those sets that work the best if you are using Hu Tao as more of a solo DPS because you want that continuous Pyro application. Hu Tao is a limited character, so you will not always have the chance to pull for her. This gives ample time for you to farm for artifacts or other materials while you wait for her re-run. Of course, no matter how good your artifacts are, you have to remember to upgrade her Talents as well if you want to maximize her usefulness.
