Spellcasting is, of course, one of the biggest draws of attending Hogwarts - that and getting into magical mischief - so which spells will we be able to use in Hogwarts legacy, and how will spellcasting and combat work? Counting all of the contextual spells, there are 31 learnable Hogwarts Legacy spells in total. Of these 31 spells, you can allocate 23 to up to four different spell slots, which you can get by unlocking the relevant Hogwarts Legacy talents with points earned by leveling up to the max level cap. As for learning the spells in the open-world game, this will happen either by attending class, as a reward for completing assignments or learned during main story missions. By far one of the more annoying collectibles in the game, it's not until you have a word with Gladwin Moon back in Hogwarts that you learn about these owl-like figurines that contain Demiguise Moons. The trick is that, during the day, you can't interact with them, but you can pinch their moon during the night. Hogwarts Legacy locks are intricately linked with Demiguise Statues and Moons, however, unlike other collectibles in the open-world game, such as the Daedalian keys, you will find Demiguise Statues scattered across every region, not just in Hogwarts. There are 30 Demiguise Statues to find, and the game doesn't count the two from Gladwin's quest as part of your search. We've got the details on all the Demiguise locations in the RPG game - just make sure you press F (or R3 on controller) when you're on the Hogwarts Legacy map screen to wait until night-time, so you can pluck the moons from their grasp.
