All Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotics, listed

Wondering about the new Destiny 2 Lightfall Exotics? No need to fiddle through your collections - we have a full list of all the new Exotic guns and armour pieces that await you in the latest expansion.

If you're wondering where you'll find these golden goodies, we can help with that too. Generally, new Exotic armour pieces are earned through completing Destiny 2 Legendary Lost Sectors, while newer Exotic guns tend to be linked to quests - more on all that below. Older Exotics, both weapons and armour, can be bought from Xur, drop from certain activities or, if you're very lucky, just while you're out in the world. Read on for a full list of every new Exotic in Destiny 2's Lightfall expansion - on which point, note that you'll need to own the Lightfall expansion to have access to these.

Destiny 2 Lightfall review in progress – left in the dark

Destiny 2 Lightfall promised to be the groundbreaking penultimate storyline in a narrative developed over nearly a decade. But the issue is sometimes game developers make promises they can't keep. Not every expansion and campaign storyline can change the game like Forsaken or introduce us to compelling narrative twists like those in The Witch Queen. However, Lightfall feels like a significant step backwards from the complex, interwoven threads that once led an entire community to grieve for the death of Cayde-6 or, even more recently, shed a tear at Rasputin's sacrifice.

Perhaps there's some confusion among the developers as to what Destiny 2 means to players compared to what it means to those in charge. The development team sought to deliver a futuristic neon city and a Darkness subclass that's ironically bright in the FPS game, while what could have truly satiated players is a clearer grasp of the stakes surrounding the Traveler, the Veil, and the future of humanity.

Note that this review is relatively early in the gameplay experience, reflecting several hours of campaign content. There's a lot to explore in Destiny 2 Lightfall, and we're still working our way through it. Still, with several hours of the Legendary campaign completed, suffice it to say it's notably underwhelming.

I have a soft spot for SimCity (2013). It was beautiful and it was fun, even if it was heavily compromised in its construction.

Cheery RPS fanzine PC Gamer recently spoke to some of its design team about those compromises, their causes, and the enormous series-killing backlash that followed.

"It already seems inevitable that there will be stories two weeks from now about how Forspoken failed to meet Square Enix's sales expectations," I wrote as the demo for the Isekai romp arrived on PC. How wrong I was! It took six and a half weeks.

"Reviews of Forspoken... have been challenging," says Square Enix's latest financial report, and its sales have been "lackluster".

Resident Evil 4's demo dropped on Thursday and in all likelihood its ganados-packed village is difficult and scary enough for me. If you're made of stronger stuff, you might be interested in the demo's secret ultra-hard "Mad Chainsaw Mode", though.

Lemnis Gate is a multiplayer shooter trapped within a turn-based timeloop, in which players work across turns to support their past selves and stymy their opponents. If that were possible in reality, this would be the perfect moment for a new iteration to appear and throw a shield around Lemnis Gate, because its developers have announced that it will close down this summer.

Yet another NieR Automata pop-up shop will appear in select Loft stores throughout Japan to promote the anime adaptation of the game. The theme of the new NieR Automata pop-up shop is "relax time," and it depicts protagonists 2B and 9S relaxing and spending time with a pet cat and a pet bunny. The new pop-up store will offer everyday items and merchandise of 2B and 9S, including acrylic stands, keychains, pin badges, plastic file folder, bookmarks, bags, T-shirts, hoodies, cushions, and ashtrays.

These are the exact dates and locations that the NieR Automata pop-up shop will appear in:

  • Sakae Loft in Nagoya, from March 17, 2023 to April 9, 2023.
  • Shibuya Loft in Tokyo, from March 21, 2023 to April 10, 2023.

  • Yokohama Loft, from May 16, 2023 to June 4, 2023.
  • Tenjin Loft in Fukuoka, from May 18, 2023 to June 4, 2023.

The theme of the new NieR Automata pop-up shop is stylized as "relax ti[M]e," similar to the different ending titles that players can achieve in the Square Enix and PlatinumGames action RPG.

Who are Your Favorite and Best Fate Series Servants?

The Fate series is huge, with games, anime adaptations, and all sorts of spin-offs, which means lots of characters and servants. It might get overwhelming! But it also means there's always somebody to root for. We figured let's talk about all the Fate servants we feel are the best and why they're our favorites.

Man, there have been so many really good Fate Servants that it's hard to choose just one. Do I choose the OG Rider Medusa because she was my fave from even before I knew Fate/Stay Night existed? Do I choose Ishtar, because she's the Servant version of Fate alum and Objectively Best Girl Rin Tohsaka? Or do I choose the original Saberface, Altria (or Arthuria, or Artoria, depending on which side of the war you're on)? It's impossible to pick just one!

Except it isn't impossible, because as a loyal adherent to the ideology of Jalterism, I pick Jeanne d'Arc Alter, patron saint of Doing Whatever Jalter Wants. -- Josh

Who are Your Favorite Fate Series Servants Hassan
Fate has a lot of iconic characters, but my heart belongs to King Hassan, or "Gramps" as the community calls him. An unconventional Assassin design, some truly wild story moments and Jouji Nakata's intimidating baritone all add up to servant worth whaling for. Also, he's just a really interesting historical figure. Doko Da! -- Elliot

lancer cu best fate servant
While I think there are characters with much better and more striking designs, I love Lancer/Cu Chulainn the most and think he's the best Fate servant. He's a practical character and quite strong! He's got a good personality! His thoughts on Scathach can be quite funny! It is a little unnerving how many animals he considers viable food sources, but still. This lancer is a good dude.

Though if we're just going by character design, then Sei Shounagon is definitely the best Fate/ servant in my opinion. The color scheme is so striking!
