Genshin Impact Kirara banner release date and abilities

Want to know about the Genshin Impact Kirara banner release date? Kirara is the only confirmed character coming to the Genshin Impact 3.7 update, but there's a good chance a second surprise character could be on the horizon.

Kirara is the first cat-girl to appear on the Genshin Impact roster, but most importantly, she's a four-star sword-wielding Dendro character. Judging by her abilities, Kirara should work well as a support character, providing shields to her fellow party members. That being said, there are a lot of Dendro supports right now, so we'll have to see where Kirara ends up on our Genshin Impact tier list in the free PC game.

Genshin Impact 3.7 release date, new characters, and more

Want to know the Genshin Impact 3.7 release date? Even though the 3.6 update has only just graced our screens, it's time to gather more information about the banners and events ahead.

The Genshin Impact 3.6 update has started off strong with banner reruns of Nahida and Nilou, two excellent characters that have earned high spots on our Genshin Impact tier list. The second half of the update includes two new characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, though we don't know how good they are just yet. In comparison, Genshin Impact 3.7 release date looks to have fewer new features than 3.6 so far. One reason for this may be because of the rumours of a new region and map coming to the free PC game, as well as the introduction of the Hydro Archon lurking around the web, so we may not need to wait all that much longer for the Genshin Impact 4.0 release date.

What is the current and next Genshin Impact banner?

Genshin Impact banners rotate every few weeks on a precise schedule, and we always know what to expect thanks to regular updates from Hoyoverse. The developer of the anime game always keeps its fans in the loop with regular Twitter posts and livestreams, so you can plan where you want to spend your hard-earned Primogems.

With a two to three-week turnaround for banners, the roster of Genshin Impact characters is always changing, and the free PC game regularly introduces two new characters to wish for. Every limited-time character banner - or Event Wish - contains a five-star character, and three four-star characters with increased drop rates. There's also a Genshin Impact Weapon banner - Epitome Invocation - which runs alongside each character banner and changes weapons every update.

Genshin Impact codes May 2023 – redeem free primogems

What are the new Genshin Impact codes? Gathering currency in Genshin Impact can be quite the grind. While you can earn Mora and Primogems by completing quests such as daily commissions, an injection of extra funds will always be gratefully received.

Fortunately, developer Hoyoverse occasionally sends out free gifts in the form of a Genshin redeem code. Most codes only work for a limited time - and they grant essential goodies like free Primogems and Mora - so it's a great idea to redeem them as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Genshin Impact codes are released periodically, frequently appearing in Hoyoverse's special programs that reveal information about future updates coming to the free PC game, but they can also drop to celebrate milestones or to coincide with new Genshin Impact events.  Below you'll find all the active Genshin Impact codes for May 2023, and we'll also detail what they get you, explain how to redeem them, and fill you in on where to look for more.

Monster Menu Demo Features a Really Cute Character Creator

In Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbook, players face off against a roguelike dungeon-crawler with turn-based, strategic battles. However, there are no default characters. Like games like Etrian Odyssey, you're customizing your own crew. What shocked me though, after sampling the Monster Menu demo, is how cute the character creator really is.

[caption id="attachment_962659" align="alignnone" width="1200"]Monster Menu Demo Features a Really Cute Character Creator Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]

To start with, there are eight base "characters" to choose when you begin the Monster Menu demo and enter its character creator. However, you're not really choosing a default avatar. What you're really doing is picking their outfit. Once you pick one of the eight options, each one lets you completely customize all other elements of the character.

[caption id="attachment_962660" align="alignnone" width="1200"]NIS America Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]

Some of these are pretty typical. You set the person's name, then choose if their gender is male, female, or unknown. After that, you select their starting class. That influences initial equipment, skills, and stats. So your "healer" would be the Chef. If you want a challenge, you can go with a Jobless layabout with lower-than-usual stats. Typical options like Archer, Mage, Swordsman, and Thief appear as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdOwZ7iyLV4&ab_channel=NISAmerica

But it's after that when I found playing around with the Monster Menu demo character really ended up being fun. There aren't a wide array of face, hair, and accessory options, for example. Like you may only get seven or eight possibilities. However, the bangs and back of a hairstyle are considered separate parts. You can adjust someone's height. You can alter the color of the outfit, hairstyle, and both left and right eyes. In addition to normal skintones, there are otherworldly ones too. Selecting a personality type alters the automatically generated biography on their status screen. None of these are tied to any specific initial character style or gender as well, allowing for quite a few possibilities.

[caption id="attachment_962661" align="alignnone" width="1200"]Monster Menu Demo Features a Really Cute Character Creator Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]

But the part I had the most fun with is the Edit Pose section. Instead of just showing default character portraits based on your chosen variations, you get to adjust them. I felt like it was a way to inject a little extra personality into a game where you're creating self-inserted, blank slate characters. There are multiple poses, which change the character's body position, different facial expressions, and options to make it look like your character is, say, blushing or half-dead. Once you get a look you like, you can use the Mini Stats option to decide on your character portrait, Menu Screen for a slightly larger photo, Cut-in to show what they look like for a team attack, and Line of Vision to just focus on their eyes or a brief line. It surprised me with how charming it is.

[caption id="attachment_962662" align="alignnone" width="1200"]NIS America Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]

The character creator we get to mess around with in the Monster Menu demo is not as intricate as the one in the Street Fighter 6 one, to be sure. But I still feel like it's a pleasant surprise when I hopped into it to check things out. There's a sense of variety here that I didn't expect, and it's quite fun to play around with to see how an explorer could look.

Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbook will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on May 23, 2023 in North America, May 26, 2023 in Europe, and June 2, 2023 in Australia, and a demo is available now.

I Love the Tears of the Kingdom Friendly Constructs

In various The Legend of Zelda games, we end up meeting all sorts of allies, enemies, and folks just hanging around, and shortly after the introduction Tears of the Kingdom introduces the Constructs. After awaking on Great Sky Island, a number of helpful ones like Stewards and on alert Soldiers can appear. But what especially struck me is just how personable they are, even if they're on the attack.

When I first met the friendly Steward Construct after coming out of the game, I was struck by how novel their design is! It's expressive, even though the face is motionless. The extended arms and neck allow for these exaggerated movements that lend additional personality to them. Whether it was one I was approaching to learn more about this area and perhaps what I should do next or one that wanted to bop Link on the head with wooden stick, I loved seeing these animations that made them both goofy and a bit of a threat.

[caption id="attachment_963056" align="alignnone" width="1200"]I Love the Tears of the Kingdom Friendly Constructs Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]

But even better was getting to hear them speak. Instead of behaving in a purely robotic fashion, given these are robots, it sounded like any other person would. They'll refer to smells as delicious. One cutting wood will motivate themselves with positive talk. They'll express caution by warning the player that the Soldier Construct types will attach. But not out of actual malice, but because their function is to protect and he's an "outsider."

My affection for them only grew as I saw them both alone and in their little communities. Happening upon a home, one explained about cooking and potion crafting. There was even food nearby that I was "welcome" to take. When learning about Zonai devices, there's a whole community working together, trying to build a raft. It can really feel like they're getting by, and they're so welcoming to Link. Considering how the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Guardians reacted to my presence, it was so refreshing to come in and see many of Tears of the Kingdom's Constructs behaving the exact opposite way upon my arrival.
[caption id="attachment_963057" align="alignnone" width="1200"]I Love the Tears of the Kingdom Friendly Constructs Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]
However, as I got to see more of our new friends, I couldn't help feeling both delighted and melancholy when happening upon certain situations. As you encounter more of Great Sky Island, you'll see both the friendly and unfriendly Constructs the Zonai left behind in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Sometimes when you do, Rauru's spirit will be nearby observing them. Speaking to him leads to more thoughtful moments about their existence. When happening upon one acting as a lumberjack, he'll explain how he feels bad that they're still performing their tasks, even after the Zonai are gone and those actions are unnecessary. However, there's also a great sense of fondness for them. He explains how his people appreciated just how skilled they became and respected them as teachers. He clearly is affectionate toward them.
[caption id="attachment_963058" align="alignnone" width="1200"]I Love the Tears of the Kingdom Friendly Constructs Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]
But in a way, that made it even better. It humanized the Great Sky Island Constructs even further in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It lent a backstory to what could easily have been robotic, nameless NPCs that would be forgotten once the tutorial area's done. But even now, I keep thinking about these friends in the sky and worrying about how they are because of that extra context.

It really speaks to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's design that these Great Sky Island Constructs could end up being memorable characters. They could have been throwaway NPCs. Put a few around the area. Have them talk. But instead, their designs and dialogue offer this sense of personality that makes them feel like more than that. After spending time around them, I can see why Rauru and the Zonai cared about them so much.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.

Best Honkai: Star Rail Serval Relic and Light Cone Build

As far as four-star damage dealers go in Honkai: Star Rail, Serval is one of the more enjoyable. Unlike a more single-target fighter like Dan Heng, she works best on groups of enemies. Using an electric guitar as her weapon, she can deal out the Shocked status then use that to create chains of further damage across entire groups. With the right Light Cone and Relic setup, someone's Serval build can shred through groups of enemies in Honkai: Star Rail with little effort.

What are the Best Light Cones for a Serval Build in Honkai: Star Rail?

With Serval, you want to maximize her ATK stats as much as possible. Not just for her standard attacks, but to boost the damage over time (DoT) caused to Shocked enemies.

For five stars, Night on the Milky Way is ideal. It grants her a stacked ATK boost in large group of enemies, and massively boosts her ATK when she inflicts Weakness Break. Serval is already excellent at dealing with crowds with her Skill and Ultimate, and these boosts make her even more effective.

For a four-star choice, I've personally found The Seriousness of Breakfast to be useful. It increases DMG by 12%, but the ATK boost she gains from defeated enemies makes her stronger the longer a fight goes on. I found this to be especially useful in fights against the Automaton Grizzly in Belobog. It's already weak to Lightning, but it also loves summoning allies which end up becoming fodder for this ATK boost.

For three-star options, Sagacity is useful as its ATK boost is the perfect match to her Ultimate's ability to extend the Shocked status. Both last for two turns, so they neatly feed into each other and give a decent boost to DoT.

[caption id="attachment_962758" align="alignnone" width="1200"]Best Serval Honkai: Star Rail Relic Sets Light Cone Screenshot by Siliconera[/caption]

What Are the Best Relic Sets for a Serval Build in Honkai: Star Rail?

The ideal Relic set for Serval is the Band of Sizzling Thunder, which was seemingly tailor-made for her, and not just for its rock band aesthetic. Two Relics in the set will grant her a 10% increase to Lightning DMG while a full set increases her ATK by 25% when she uses her Skill. Since her Skill is the best way to inflict Shocked, the boost this grants to DoT is extremely useful. It can be found in the Cavern of Corrosion: Path of Holy Hymn, which you'll find after you reach Cloudford on The Xianzhou Loufu.

However, since that may take a while to get to, the Musketeer of Wild Wheat set is a good fallback. Once again, it's all about boosting her ATK stat as much as possible, which this set grants her twice. With two sets, her ATK is boosted by 12% while a full set specifically boosts damage from her Basic ATK by 10%, which are both useful.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for PC and mobile devices. Versions for PS4 and PS5 are coming soon.

genshin impact 3.7

During the Genshin Impact 3.7 special program, HoYoVerse revealed upcoming banners, as well as the release date, and the only new character who will appear in this version will be Kirara. She is a 4-star. The second part of Yoimiya's story quest, as well as Kaveh's Hangout Event, will also debut in Genshin Impact 3.7.

Kirara is from Inazuma and is a 4-star Dendro Sword unit in Genshin Impact. She will be a support character in your party, both as a combatant and explorer. With her Passive, she can approach animals on the overworld without startling them. Her Skill is a shield and holding it down will transform her into a cat under a cardboard box. It increases her speed, jumping height, and climbing ability. As well, you can deal Dendro DMG when you slam into enemies. Her Burst deals AoE DMG and creates Dendro bombs that act like Dendro Cores from Bloom.

The first half of this version of Genshin Impact will re-run the Yoimiya and Yae Miko banners. Kirara will also debut in those. The second half will be Kazuha and Alhaitham. With the exception of Alhaitham, all of the event wishes are Inazuman (including Kirara). Yoimiya's return is likely due to the fact that she will have her second story quest in this update. It will focus on her and the Traveler visiting Sumeru together, and her English voice actress hinted that the story will have a very upbeat vibe.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Version 3.7 of Genshin Impact will come out on May 24, 2023.

Here Are the Genshin Impact 3.7 Special Program Primogem Codes

Another Genshin Impact Special Program means more codes for Primogems, and the 3.7 ones are live now. As usual, all of the typical rules and conditions apply. The three codes are only available on May 13, 2023. They can only be used a certain number of times before they run out. However, if you do get to redeem them, you get some nice freebies.

Here is the full list of the new Genshin Impact codes from the 3.7 special program.

  • 2SRKFQ2YSMVV: 100 Primogems, 5 Hero's Wits
  • 5A92W9JZBLCH: 100 Primogems, 50,000 Mora
  • XT82F8JZS4TR: 100 Primogems, 10 Mystic Enhancement Ores

In case you want to have the images to double check, or so you can just see the artwork for this latest update, here are the three released. Since Kirara is our newest character, she shows up on one of them. The others show other focus cast members who will feature prominently in banners and events.

As for redeeming codes, it varies depending on the device. PS4, PS5, or mobile players will want to go to the Settings/Account section of the menu. There will be an Account area. You need to select Redeem Code there to enter them one by one. On a PC, you can basically copy and paste the codes into the official website. Once you enter them all and they redeem, then you'll find the items in your in-game mailbox.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the 3.7 update will arrive on May 24, 2023. The Genshin Impact Primogem codes from the 3.7 Special Program can be redeemed until they run out or until 8pm PT/11pm ET on May 13 2023, whichever comes first.

New Genshin Impact Character Charlotte Appears in 3.7

A new character name Charlotte will show up in Genshin Impact, but she won't be playable just yet. During the 3.7 Special Program, "she" appeared as a host alongside Lumine and new playable character Kirara. While people won't be able to pull for her on the banner, they will see her appear as a major character during the upcoming Genius Invokation TCG event storyline.

A few details did come up about what Charlotte will be like as a character in Genshin Impact when the new 3.7 update arrives. She's a journalist from Fontaine. That's why she's showing up at the Genius Invokation TCG event in Mondstadt. She's covering it for The Steambird newspaper. This means she travels all around Teyvat for work.

We also knew some details about who plays her. In Japanese, Charlotte is voiced by Azumi Waki. She's also a major character in Uma Musume Pretty Derby, Special Week. People might also have heard her as Peony in Fire Emblem Heroes, Olive in Astral Chain, and Sanae in The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls.
