Mortal Kombat 1, a reboot of the long-running fighting game franchise, is somehow coming to the Nintendo Switch and will also cost $70. That makes it only the second game on the platform to adopt the new price point often reserved for "next-gen" games, and the first made by an outside publisher.

Starfield will have more hairstyles than Fallout 4, based on science

We're all mentally preparing our own Starfield characters. How will they look? What will they wear? What will be their background? But with the Bethesda RPG game just around the corner, and the Starfield Direct even nearer, it seems the space sim has the edge on its cousin, Fallout 4, in one very niche, but very important way. Using objective observation and deductive reasoning, it's been discerned that Bethesda's latest will allow for a large variety of hairstyles, helping Starfield character creation to really go with a bang(s).

However, the Necromancer skills have received some tweaks, so let us walk you through it.

As in previous RPG games in Blizzard's long-standing series, the Diablo 4 Necromancer class is primarily a summoner specializing in raising a skeletal militia and hulking golems to overpower every enemy. Blizzard has confirmed that this iteration of the class will be the most customizable in the series, and we can attest to it.      Fallout 5 release date speculation, single-player, and latest details

What is the Fallout 5 release date? Following the reveal and subsequent release of the multiplayer spin-off Fallout 76, news and rumours about a proper Fallout 5 have been scarce. It has been a while since we witnessed the bombs drop and enjoyed our single-player sojourn through Fallout 4's Boston, and it's fair to say that few were left satisfied by Bethesda's foray into multiplayer with Fallout 76, which was devoid of human NPCs, traditional questing, and basically, all the things we've come to love about the series on its release.

Naturally, then, we're already itching for news of the Fallout 5 release date – unless that's a pesky Radroach bite. No, no, we're pretty sure it's excitement. Numbered releases in the Fallout series can be half a decade apart, so we could be waiting a long time before we can pick at the remains of a new Fallout location. But if the game's heritage is anything to go by, a new entry in the series could very well be one of the best PC games ever. So, for the moment, we'll have to be satisfied with rumors and hearsay: there is little in terms of Fallout 5 news. We've compiled all the Fallout 5 information that's currently out there below, along with our Fallout 5 wishlist.

     Best Diablo 4 Barbarian build

If you love to rip and tear, our best Diablo 4 Barbarian build is the one for you. After a rocky performance in earlier beta tests, the Diablo 4 Barbarian received a slew of balance changes that may leave you feeling unsure how to spec at launch. Thankfully, our best build rises to the occasion, and – in our experience – puts all other builds to shame.

Of course, our hunt to find the best Diablo 4 Barbarian build necessitated a trip into Sanctuary during the Diablo 4 beta, where we got to grips with all the changes to the RPG game's well-loved classes. While the Barbarian's kit has received a bit of a shake-up with the introduction of the arsenal system, it's still the dedicated melee class we know and love. That said, Diablo 4 skill trees are as versatile as they've ever been, and it's easy to spec into a sluggish skill rotation. To avoid that, here's the best Diablo 4 Barbarian build if you're looking to get your hands dirty in potentially one of the best PC games of this year.

Lego 2K Drive has stirred up a surprising amount of thoughts, perhaps moreso than any other video game so far this year. I think it's because the game is an open world kart racer, a combination of words that sing to my nostalgic love for old-school racers, where as a kid I'd worshipped the majesty of Muppets Race Mania and Mario Kart (this is the only time I mention Mario Kart). In all respects, 2K Drive nails Lego's historically strong presentation, with slick courses and a genuinely lovely combo of grassy hills and dusty plains which certainly seem like a chip off Forza Horizon's shiny paint job. Building is upheld too, as a mighty garage lets anyone create an interesting set of wheels. The wheels start spinning, though, as the live service gates start closing. I don't think the gates totally shut off what's meant to be a fun time, but it certainly tries. Even an innocent kart racer can't escape the perils of live service, it seems.

Watch Clive Fight a Morbol in Final Fantasy XVI

Square Enix regularly shares clips from Final Fantasy XVI showcasing gameplay, and the latest features Clive facing a Morbol and a Knight of the Blinding Dawn. These latest segments seem to show his period of life when he was acting as the First Shield of Rosaria. As he wasn't the Dominant of Phoenix, he took on that role to support and protect his brother Joshua. While the Knight of the Blinding Dawn is a new foe, the Morbol is a recurring Final Fantasy enemy that also shows up in titles under the name Malboro.

We start by seeing Clive face the Morbol in Final Fantasy XVI. He doesn't have any Eikons yet, so he's using only skills available to him. On the left, we can see he has four Potions and three High Potions for healing, as well as a Stoneskin Tonic. (In past Final Fantasy games, Stoneskin can increase defense.) He also has access to an attack, a fire spell, a Phoenix Shift, and a jump. When the Knight of the Blinding Dawn fight begins, we can see that holding R2 changes the Attack option to the Rising Flames ability, which Clive uses as the video draws to a close.

As a reminder, we also recently learned that Final Fantasy XVI would be on the June 2023 cover of Game Informer magazine. Square Enix shared the art, which shows Clive and Ifrit on the front and Joshua and Phoenix on the back.

Final Fantasy XVI will come to the PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023. There will be a six-month exclusivity period. There is also a PS5 console bundle with a digital copy.

Next Guilty Gear Strive DLC Is Asuka R. Kreutz

As teased back in March 2023, the last season 2 Guilty Gear Strive DLC character will be Asuka R. Kreutz. A new trailer appeared showing him off in-game. Those of us familiar with both this installment and the series in general will recognize how notable his inclusion is. He'll debut on May 25, 2023. If someone has the Season Pass 2, they'll already get the character. However, as with past add-ons, he'll be sold separately for $6.99 as well. On the same day he debuts, the Tir na Nog battle stage will appear. Free 25th anniversary color options for 24 characters will appear on that day for all players as well, and there will be 48 paid color options on sale as well.

Those who already played through Guilty Gear Strive got to see quite a bit of Asuka R. Kreutz ahead of his DLC debut. He features prominently in the story, and part of the game's adventure kicks off with him willingly being taken into custody. However, we didn't get to see him really fight until now. After his introduction in the trailer, gameplay begins at about the 23 second mark. That also involves a look at the Tir na Nog stage. People can see the free and paid color options for the 24 characters starting at the 1:32 mark.

The video closes with a reminder that Bridget, Delilah and Bedman?, and Sin Kiske are also a part of season 2, and that season 3 is on the way.

Guilty Gear Strive is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC, and the Asuka R. Kreutz DLC release date is May 25, 2023.

Honkai: Star Rail Getting Chat System, Character Camera Mode Adjustments

HoYoVerse went over some of the things people can expect in the 1.1 Honkai: Star Rail update and beyond, and they include a story change, Camera Mode character expression adjustments, and an easier way to find enemies for items. Some adjustments involve specific characters, like Seele. Those will show up beyond 1.1 as a result.

There are two major additions confirmed for the 1.1 update. One is that Honkai: Star Rail will get a Chat System. This will allow someone to chat with someone who is on their friends list, in the same sort of way as Genshin Impact. As they're no multiplayer, this could work just while someone is online at the same time. The enemy drop materials will also be more detailed. If there's an item you're looking for and you select its sources page, you can see exactly which enemies would drop it and where. The Honkai: Star Rail Camera Mode will also offer more in character expressions for people, with the example image showing Dan Heng in 1.0 and in 1.1.

As for changes coming after the 1.1 update, there are some related to the Honkai: Star Rail story and Seele's ultimate. The Xianzhou Luofu Trailblaze Missions will no longer include the Sanctus Medicus Missions like they did in 1.0. These will become Adventure Missions instead in the future. As for Seele, her Ultimate attack involves flashing imagery. Another update will add settings to allow people to mitigate and avoid discomfort from that.
