The action roguelike released back in 2018 is getting a sequel, aptly named Wizards Of Legend 2. This follow-up is being developed by Children Of Morta's Dead Mage but will have supervising guidance from the game's original devs, Contingent99. Wizard Of Legend 2 looks to be very much in the same vein as the first game - fast-paced spell-casting combat - but it's also had a 3D glow-up and will also now support 4-player online co-op. Nice! I'm not the biggest fan of the name, but I love love love the 2D animation in #BLUD. The great visuals don't come as a surprise when you know that developers Exit 73 are also an animation studio too, with #BLUD being their debut game. This vampire-slaying RPG has you play as Becky Brewster, a highschooler who spends the day fretting about homework and friends and the nighttime slaying demons. From the look of the trailer, #BLUD looks to be bursting with humour and fun; one to keep an eye on for sure. |

Songs Of Syx will compare to probably every colony sim you've played, in fact, but it feels like a fundamentally different game conceptually. The usual parts are there. Chop some trees, chip some stones, and chep some crops to get your pioneers' basic needs met, then get to expanding. But Syx isn't interested in testing you or manufacturing drama. It's not about surviving, not about building a happy little colony. It's about how growth changes not just the scale, but the nature of a settlement. Despite similarities with its influences, it defines itself with a different dynamic, a whole different ethos to its peers. And it's one that even playing it my own awkward way hasn't broken. |

Capcom announced a new Event Quest for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. In "Oooooh Shiny…?", the goal is to hunt a Silver Rathalos in the Lava Caverns, and players must be at least MR 10. The quest is available now for players on Steam and Nintendo Switch, after they've installed the latest update to the game. Players on other systems will not have access to the quest yet. https://twitter.com/monsterhunter/status/1658990399237640192 The latest Event Quest will reward players with the Arrival Pose Set, as well as additional items that can be sold for a large amount of Zenny. Capcom did not specified what these additional items will be. Players can claim the quest from the Courier in Kamura Village or Elgado Outpost by choosing the Add-On option. It's the latest Event Quest to be added to Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Sometimes these quests can award new items, such as the new pose in the latest quest. Other times, Event Quests simply award points, as in the Gore Magala Event Quest in November. Chiyomaru Shikura, formerly the chairman and executive director of Mages, shared some information of what could have been regarding a live-action adaptation of Steins;Gate. Apparently, there had been talks of a live-action show after the anime for the game ended. The deal ended up falling through due to disagreements over the main actor. [Thanks, Famitsu!] Shikura had been very optimistic about the live-action show, because the producer who would have handled it was someone whose work he admired. He did not name the producer or the studio that would have worked on the live-action Steins;Gate adaptation. During discussions though, the studio stated that it wanted a Johnny's actor to play protagonist Rintaro Okabe. Shikura joked that single request caused a divergence in the timeline. Though Shikura likes Johnny's, he thought it was an unreasonable request because he didn't think a Johnny's actor could fit as Okarin. But he decided to go ahead anyway and requested Tomoya Nagase, whom he thought could portray Okarin. However, the producer replied that they couldn't get Nagase and the decision on who to cast was not in the producer's hands anyway. As a result, Shikura decided to turn down the offer, and thus the Steins;Gate live-action drama never came to be. Steins;Gate (the anime adaptation) is available on streaming services such as Crunchyroll. The original game is available on consoles such as the PS4 and mobile devices. The multiplayer, online, free-to-play game Sword Art Online: Integral Factor is finally coming to the PC via Steam. Although there is no release date set for now, the Steam page is already live. Until now, the game has only been available on mobile devices. The Steam page currently features a teaser video showcasing some of the characters you can find throughout the story, along with some screenshots. As you can see, the pictures still show the interface from the mobile version, with the attack and skill buttons showing on the screen. Moreover, the page shows that the game will be available with English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean subtitles and interface options. However, the audio is listed only in Japanese. Developed by Asobimo and published by Bandai Namco, Sword Art Online: Integral Factor released originally for mobile devices in 2017. It presented a retelling of the original series story where the players can affect the outcome. Just like in the anime's first season, the player appears as a beta tester trapped in the virtual world of Aincrad just after the truth about dying in-game was revealed. Since its release, this game featured many collaborations and special events featuring characters from other games such as the Tales of series. Most notably, in 2020 it held a special collaboration event with characters from Persona 5 Royal that showed the worlds of Aincrad and Mementos colliding. Sword Art Online: Integral Factor is currently available on Android and iOS devices, and a PC version will come at a later date via Steam. The first event in Honkai: Star Rail will take place in Boulder Town from May 19, 2023 until June 6, 2023. Boulder Town: Super League will give rewards such as Stellar Jades, Condensed Aethers, and Travelers' Guides. The Super League will still be available after the event ends, but players will only be able to obtain first-clear rewards and not the time-limited event ones. In order to participate in the Super League, we must be at Trailblaze Level 21 at the minimum. As well, we must complete the "Ring and Stage I," "Ring and Stage II," and "Gladiator" Adventure Missions. Basically, you need to more or less fully clear the events for Boulder Town's Fight Club. During Super League in Honkai: Star Rail, the player undergoes five matches which consist of four matches each. The enemy line-up will be random and when you defeat them, you will gain a buff. The event version of Super League will have a timer, and you get more rewards the faster you clear the rounds. As of the time of writing, Honkai: Star Rail is in the latter half of its launch version 1.0. The Fight Club existed in the first half though, and it played a small part in the Jarilo-VI storyline. You could also visit it as part of the Adventure Missions and fight against enemies. It's unclear if the Super League will have its own event story or if it will pick up an existing plot thread. PlatinumGames released the first of a new development diary series for Bayonetta 3. In this initial episode, Series Creator Hideki Kamiya, Director Yusuke Miyata, Producer Yuji Naoko and Animator Takaaki Yamaguchi reflected on the Demon Slave mechanic and the importance of dancing to Bayonetta's character. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9w3axyTHbbk In the development diary, the team first discussed the Demon Slave mechanic. According to Kamiya, the mechanic was devised before Bayonetta 3. He felt it was a good match for Bayonetta and revised it for the new game. Miyata envisioned the concept like a dolphin show, with Bayonetta as the trainer. He also fought with Kamiya over how many demons they were going to be. Kamiya wanted to keep it at five, but Miyata kept revising the number upwards, and won in the end. Miyata also talked about getting to the essence of who Bayonetta is when designing the game. After asking around the team, the keyword "dancing" came up a lot, and he decided to implement this heavily into her moveset. Both Miyata and Yamaguchi discussed the difficulties they faced trying to incorporate dance moves into combat. Initially Bayonetta felt too light and combat didn't feel impactful enough, so they had to keep tweaking it. This is the first of four Bayonetta 3 developer diaries. Nintendo revealed more details about the new Painbrush weapon coming to Splatoon 3. From what can be seen, this fan brush weapon appears to spread ink in wide areas at the cost of big amounts of ink. It was announced as part of the Sizzle Season 2023, along with a blaster reminiscent of the classic Super Scope peripheral for the SNES. Take a look at a preview of how the Painbrush works from the official Splatoon Twitter account below. The appearance of the new Painbrush in Splatoon 3 is meant to resemble a fan brush, while its handle looks like a palette cup. As you can see in the video, attacks with this brush will always start with a slow initial swing which are followed by much faster ones. Moreover, just like other brush weapons, you can run holding the brush against the floor by pressing ZR. Unlike previous brush weapons, this variation is designed for a longer range at the cost of a slower start-up. More importantly, the preview also shows that you can splat enemies with just about two direct hits. However, these attacks seem to be quite draining when it comes to ink usage, as the ink-tank reserve reduces swiftly with each strike. As for the add-ons, the Painbrush will come equipped with a Curling Bomb as the sub-weapon and a Wave Breaker for the special. This makes for a playstyle more focused on fast, head-on movement with the long narrow strokes and the paths left by the Curling Bomb. Additionally, the Sizzle Season will also bring more catalogs with various content such as new Tableturf Battle cards, outfits, and emotes. Notably, there will also be the new Challenges, which will change up the experience with different game conditions such as a stage-wide fog or high jumps available for all the players. Pre-orders for Tales of Festival 2023 merchandise based on the series' games and characters are open from May 18-28, 2023. This festival is slightly different from some of the previous ones, as it's the 15th anniversary of the event. There are three categories of merchandise that you can choose from. You can pre-order character goods (character-specific items), event goods, and special goods. For the character goods, you can buy a "phone tab" (a clear cardholder for character goods that you can attach to our phone to show off who you stan), acrylic stands, acrylic stickers, acrylic coasters, towels, fans, and keyholders. Each game will have two to three characters that are featured. For example, you can get goods of Veigue or Claire from Rebirth, and Kohak or Hisui from Hearts. As a note, only games starting from Tales of Destiny 2 have character goods. [caption id="attachment_963992" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Event goods are merchandise more specific to the Tales of Festival 2023. Items include T-shirts, color lights, and acrylic sticks. There are multiple variations of the T-shirts and sticks depending on which game you like. The acrylic sticks all feature the mascot of a particular entry. The unicorn is Phantasia's, whereas Quickie is Eternia's. Finally, special goods are slightly more generic items. You can buy bracelets, scarves, and plates. Like with the event goods, there are different looks for the game that you like. The bracelets have two charms—one charm shows the title of the game and the other displays the Tales of Festival 2023 logo. As for the scarves, they use the color of the game's title. For example, the Xillia scarf is green because the logo for Xillia was green. The Tales of Festival 2023 game and character merchandise is available for pre-order between May 18 and 28, 2023. They are available via Asobi Store. However, Asobi Store does not offer international shipping, so a proxy service would be needed. FuturLab and Square Enix announced both paid and free updates for PowerWash Simulator would take us to new places, and the next one is a paid piece of SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack DLC. The add-on will arrive in Summer 2023. When it does, it will cost $7.99. An initial trailer appeared, acting as a vague teaser, It shows that as PowerWash Simulator employees, we will be under the sea when cleaning up Bikini Bottom in the SpongeBob SquarePants Special Pack DLC. The video teases the new character model, which falls in line with the character style from the series. The official announcement also included six maps based on locations from the show. People can visit the following places and clean them up.
There are also two screenshots: The last two updates were both free ones that took players to different properties. First, people could head to Lara Croft's home to clean out the manor. In a follow-up update, people got a chance to visit locations from Final Fantasy VII Remake. Capcom continued its run of Street Fighter 6 videos going over how to play certain characters by looking at returning fighters Guile and Juri. The former is another one of the easier-to-play characters in the game. Meanwhile, Juri can take a bit more time to learn, as she's a kind of fighter we could use to apply pressure in matches and quickly dash in for combos and attacks. It initially begins by showing how balanced he is, with moves for multiple ranges, It also shows how even his standard punches and kicks have quite a bit of reach to them. It ends by focusing on his Sonic Boom, a returning projectile.
For the Juri Street Fighter 6 video going over how to play as the character, it shows how someone would want to use her kicks to create combos and keep moving forward. Her attack getting extra attention is Tensenrin, and it shows how the kick could be used on the ground or as an anti-air option. Capcom seems to be going through every member of the roster with this line of videos. For example, ones appeared for Luke, Kimberly, Chun-li, Ryu, and Jamie so far. Every year, Fire Emblem Heroes features banners with alts of characters as brides and grooms, and this year's Bridal Dreams banner begins on May 19, 2023. This year the options on the banner are Anna: Secret Charmer, Flavia: Bold Bride, Say'ri: Righteous Bride, and Tiki: Bridal Reflections. The Tiki is actually a duo unit that pairs her up with the child version of herself. During the Tempest Trials+ people can earn four and five-star versions of Robin: Keen Groom. All four bride versions of characters can appear as five-star units on the Fire Emblem Heroes Bridal Dreams banner. However, Flavia can also appear as a four-star. Anna is a cavalry unit with a green bow, Say'ri is a flier that uses a lance, Flavia is a cavalry unit armed with a sword, and the Tiki duo unit is an armored, colorless dragon. Here's the full trailer for the new bridal banner. It confirms that only Feh Pass subscribers can "spark" on this banner. That means if we are paying for the $9.49 monthly pass, we can pick one of the four focus units for free after pulling on the banner 40 times. Square Enix regularly shares clips from Final Fantasy XVI showcasing gameplay, and the latest features Clive facing a Morbol and a Knight of the Blinding Dawn. These latest segments seem to show his period of life when he was acting as the First Shield of Rosaria. As he wasn't the Dominant of Phoenix, he took on that role to support and protect his brother Joshua. While the Knight of the Blinding Dawn is a new foe, the Morbol is a recurring Final Fantasy enemy that also shows up in titles under the name Malboro. We start by seeing Clive face the Morbol in Final Fantasy XVI. He doesn't have any Eikons yet, so he's using only skills available to him. On the left, we can see he has four Potions and three High Potions for healing, as well as a Stoneskin Tonic. (In past Final Fantasy games, Stoneskin can increase defense.) He also has access to an attack, a fire spell, a Phoenix Shift, and a jump. When the Knight of the Blinding Dawn fight begins, we can see that holding R2 changes the Attack option to the Rising Flames ability, which Clive uses as the video draws to a close.
As a reminder, we also recently learned that Final Fantasy XVI would be on the June 2023 cover of Game Informer magazine. Square Enix shared the art, which shows Clive and Ifrit on the front and Joshua and Phoenix on the back.

As teased back in March 2023, the last season 2 Guilty Gear Strive DLC character will be Asuka R. Kreutz. A new trailer appeared showing him off in-game. Those of us familiar with both this installment and the series in general will recognize how notable his inclusion is. He'll debut on May 25, 2023. If someone has the Season Pass 2, they'll already get the character. However, as with past add-ons, he'll be sold separately for $6.99 as well. On the same day he debuts, the Tir na Nog battle stage will appear. Free 25th anniversary color options for 24 characters will appear on that day for all players as well, and there will be 48 paid color options on sale as well. Those who already played through Guilty Gear Strive got to see quite a bit of Asuka R. Kreutz ahead of his DLC debut. He features prominently in the story, and part of the game's adventure kicks off with him willingly being taken into custody. However, we didn't get to see him really fight until now. After his introduction in the trailer, gameplay begins at about the 23 second mark. That also involves a look at the Tir na Nog stage. People can see the free and paid color options for the 24 characters starting at the 1:32 mark. Bandai Namco announced when a PS4 My Hero Ultra Rumble open beta will be held, sharing times and dates. the first session runs May 25-26, 2023. Then a second There will appear May 26, 2023 through June 1, 2023. 15 playable characters during this beta, with Denki "Stun Gun Hero: Chargebolt" Kaminari, Itsuka "Battle Fist" Kendo, and Tenya "Turbo Hero: Ingenium" Iida new to the cast. HoYoVerse went over some of the things people can expect in the 1.1 Honkai: Star Rail update and beyond, and they include a story change, Camera Mode character expression adjustments, and an easier way to find enemies for items. Some adjustments involve specific characters, like Seele. Those will show up beyond 1.1 as a result. There are two major additions confirmed for the 1.1 update. One is that Honkai: Star Rail will get a Chat System. This will allow someone to chat with someone who is on their friends list, in the same sort of way as Genshin Impact. As they're no multiplayer, this could work just while someone is online at the same time. The enemy drop materials will also be more detailed. If there's an item you're looking for and you select its sources page, you can see exactly which enemies would drop it and where. The Honkai: Star Rail Camera Mode will also offer more in character expressions for people, with the example image showing Dan Heng in 1.0 and in 1.1. As for changes coming after the 1.1 update, there are some related to the Honkai: Star Rail story and Seele's ultimate. The Xianzhou Luofu Trailblaze Missions will no longer include the Sanctus Medicus Missions like they did in 1.0. These will become Adventure Missions instead in the future. This character isn't just for eye candy and boasts a strong kit that has catapulted him as one of the strongest Erudition characters in the game. Jing Yuan is joined by a non-playable ally named Lightning Lord, who takes their own turns and deals a massive amount of damage based on how many times Jing Yuan can use his Skill and Ultimate. This makes Jing Yuan dish out an obscene amount of AoE damage. To buff his damage capabilities, we'll look at some of the best team comps for Jing Yuan in Honkai: Star Rail. The trick is to duplicate gems or other items that sell for a lot of Rupees. I'll show you how to duplicate items in Tears of the Kingdom so you can earn Rupees fast and easily. Note: Instead of farming for Bomb Flowers, you can use this duplicate trick to create as many as you want. It is located to the northeast of Lookout Landing and across Hylia River. If you see the giant stone skull with dangerous enemies lurking nearby, you're near your destination.
