Welcome to the Week in Review
Welcome
It seems as if VR has been on the verge of going mainstream for decades, but the breakthrough moment could finally be upon us. This week, Meta launched its new Quest 3 headset, proclaimed by Mark Zuckerberg to be its most powerful yet, while Tim Cook is expected to unveil Apple’s first VR offering at WWDC on Monday. And let’s face it, if any company can take a technology from niche pursuit to must-have, it’s Apple. That said, I’m skeptical as to whether the world really wants another high-end VR headset, so don’t be surprised if the rumored MacBook Air 15-inch proves the bigger seller.

Elsewhere this week, there were no Apple devices of any kind on show at Computex 2023, but our team discovered plenty of other treats to get excited about. You can read all about those, and much more, below.

Until next week,

Marc McLaren, UK Editor in Chief
