I love Baldur's Gate 3, and if you're reading this I'd wager you do too. While there's a very good chance Larian's landmark DnD RPG could sweep this year's Game Awards, that doesn't mean it's perfect. I ended up barely using half the scrolls, consumables, and other items in my inventory because after just a few hours it looked like Jackson Pollock took to the screen. Now we can all rejoice though, as one of BG3's most prolific modders has released yet another simple, but required, download.

Astroneer never fails to put a smile on my face, and that's only enhanced by the arrival of the holiday season. The delightful base-building adventure nails that feeling of space exploration and adventure of games like No Man's Sky and Starfield with a more careful, crafted sense of progression and tech upgrades in the vein of Factorio, Terraria, or Satisfactory. Played by yourself or together with friends as a co-op game, I'll take any excuse to go back to Astroneer, and the Project Cheer delivery event is just such a reason.

Upcoming Steam roguelike game Gatekeeper already has my attention, and its next class looks like the most fun addition to the roster yet. Following the launch of free prequel game Gatekeeper: Infinity, this new co-op game blending the sci-fi stylings of Risk of Rain and the explosive top-down combat of Diablo 4 gives us a look at Pandora, the next addition to the list of Gatekeeper classes.

The Lamplighters League deserved better. A pulpy strategy game from the publisher of XCOM and developed by Harebrained Schemes, the team behind BattleTech and the Shadowrun Trilogy, even a day one PC Game Pass launch couldn't get the eyes on it. From the moment I picked up Lamplighters League at GDC this year though I loved it, and there's about to be a great reason to try it for yourself: a free update.

Bringing together Arthurian legend, the character-driven party RPG elements of games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity Original Sin, and the turn-based tactical combat of XCOM, King Arthur: Knight's Tale is a dark fantasy spin on the classical legend. Now, with a huge 2.0 upgrade and its new Rising Eclipse endgame content, if you've been looking for a new game to jump into after BG3, King Arthur: Knight's Tale might be just what you're looking for.

The Witcher 4 is well underway at CD Projekt Red. The Polish developer behind both the colossal fantasy RPG series and the recently redeemed Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot on its plate going forward; both a sequel to Cyberpunk and an entirely new Witcher saga are in the works. So anything we can learn about the upcoming games is worth diving into, and the new saga's game director has just given us a lot to stew on.

December 3, 2023: We added one new Monopoly Go dice link to our list.

How can I get free Monopoly Go dice links? The classic board game has made its way to a free-to-play format, and you'll be doing laps of the board collecting houses and hotels and completing a variety of multiplayer minigames along the way.

You can't get far in Monopoly Go without dice rolls, which you'll have a limited amount of to begin with. To earn more dice rolls you'll need to log in daily to collect bonuses, invite your friends to the game, or progress further. If you don't want to spend your hard-earned money on more dice, you can use dice links for the board game instead.

From one AMD CPU to another - the last deal we posted was on an AM4 gaming-focused processor, the 5800X3D, and now we're looking at the opposite end of Team Red's lineup: the 7950X. This Zen 4 design includes 16 cores and 32 threads, making it their ultimate consumer CPU for highly threaded workloads like video production, 3D rendering... and yes, many video games too!

This is still a pretty expensive processor, but it's a relative steal versus its launch price of £770. Amazon are now asking just £483 for this flagship-grade model, and that seems a fair price given just how well this CPU performs in everything from games to scientific computing and video rendering.

AMD's Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor is well-known for offering a sharp upgrade to gaming performance over all other CPUs compatible with the company's now defunct AM4 motherboard platform. These days the processor costs around £290, but today the price has dipped to £271 - making it a good time to get that final CPU upgrade for your Ryzen 1000-5000 system.

Sanshee Persona 5 Makoto and Morgana Plush Emphasize Characters' Best Qualities

Over Black Friday 2023, Sanshee started to expand its Persona 5 line of merchandise with plush items based on Makoto Niijima and Morgana. What's fun is how both the Makoto collector's plush and Morgana plush hanger tote bag ended up being quality items that allow someone to appreciate the characters in different ways.

In the case of the Makoto collector's plush, it's a fun item to display on a shelf, bed, or couch. Given it is about 10 inches tall, it's not exactly something that could go on a shelf alongside figures. But it's a cute display item. Especially since it is so intricate. While the hair is made of a really soft, typical "plush" fabric, I felt like the rest came across as more of a decorative doll.

Her outfit is rendered with more detailed than I expected, especially around her jumper's straps and bodice. There's some ruching to provide extra depth, and it actually is designed to look like there are buckles. The usage of different types of fabrics also helps it seem more authentic. But at the same time, I really appreciated how fun this chibi design is. Especially since it is identical to her pin.

With the Persona 5 Morgana plush hanger tote bag, it feels like getting to have a more practical sort of stuffed animal you can enjoy on a daily basis. The Morgana part is a soft rendition of the character with a zipper along the stomach. It's soft, cute, and retains the proper proportions and look of the character even when empty. The Shujin Academy bag is a nylon type of tote. It's sturdier than I expected, especially since the execution means there are a lot of points of contact for the straps along for added durability.

What I especially liked about the Persona 5 Morgana plush hanger tote bag, however, is that it's one of those things where I didn't feel like it could be a burden when actually using it. I have a similar sort of bag and plush combo, but the bag is attached. This means actually getting it back inside the stuffed animal always feels like a bit of a chore and as thought it won't fit the way it originally did. But because the bag is its own entity and features the Shujin Academy logo, I somehow don't have that stress. I can keep it separate and feel fine, using the Morgana accessory as an additional attached change purse or on the side as a completely separate accessory. It's convenient. Also, as a fun detail, the scarf actually can cover up the zipper a bit, rather than being sewn in and around it.

But honestly, all three items are strong additions to the Sanshee lineup of Persona 5 items. It builds upon a collection that previously only included things like pins, shirts, and a mug. The resemblance to characters is strong. The build quality seems good. They're also all executed in such a way that they're recognizable without being mirror images of Makoto and Morgana, while still being fun.

The Persona 5 Morgana plush hanger tote bag is $27.99 at Sanshee, while the Makoto plush is $35.99 and pin is $12.99. Persona 5 is available on the PS3 and PS4, while Persona 5 Royal is available on the PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
