Good Smile Company announced the release of a series of six Chainsaw Man plushes. These stuffed animals will release in August 2023 and will cost 3,300 yen/$23.99. They will be available for pre-order from the Good Smile Online Shop May 18, 2023. The plush lineup consists of characters Aki, Denji, Himeno, Kobeni, Makina, and Power. All six are in a sitting pose. The Denji plush will come with a headpiece that can be fitted onto the plush to represent his transformation into Chainsaw Man. A new snippet of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon surfaced online. A Reddit user who claims to have pre-installed the game on Xbox shared an image of an alleged screensaver from the game's console app. Apparently, many other users have found the same key art using the same "pre-install trick." [Thanks, Eliwats17 on Reddit!] Check out the Reddit post with the alleged key art here below. In the image, you can see a humanoid machine on one knee holding a gun and missing an arm. Surrounding it is debris from what appears to be the remains of a destroyed futuristic city. Notably, the background of the image is reminiscent of the opening seconds of the Armored Core 6 teaser trailer. During it, a cataclysmic wave sweeps everything in its path. Over the past few months, Armored Core 6 pre-order pages have been popping up on various platforms for players to pre-order the game. But unlike the others, the Xbox app in particular also allows you to download preliminary game data as a sort of pre-installation. When you try to run the downloaded software afterward, the aforementioned screensaver image appears. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the franchise and this installment will be the first new game in 10 years since the last entry, Armored Core: Verdict Day. In February 2023, Producer Yasunori Ogura shared details about Armored Core 6's gameplay and setting but didn't confirm a release date yet. The next batch of Fire Emblem Heroes characters come from Three Houses. Three characters tied to the Blue Lions will be joining the game. Most notable is a Rearmed version of Ingrid. New Felix, Rhea, and Sylvain units will appear as well. They are now live in-game alongside Book 7, Chapter 2's new quests. All four of the characters will be available as five-stars on the banner. However, Sylvain will be appear in the four-star pool as well. Felix is a sword-bearing infantry unit. Rhea is a colorless dragon and infantry unit. Sylvain is a cavalry unit bearing an axe. Finally, Ingrid is a flier who wields a lance. Here's the full Fire Emblem Heroes trailer looking at the new Three Houses characters. It begins with Felix, then moves on to Rhea, Sylvain, and Ingrid. Crunchyroll is about to release two One Piece physical copies in July 2023. It announced that both the One Piece Film: Red Blu-ray and One Piece Season 13 Voyage 1 Blu-ray and DVD will arrive that month. The latest batch of anime episodes will appear first on July 4, 2023, and the movie will show up the following week on July 11, 2023. They're among the five releases from the company heading to home video that month. The announcement also detailed some of the bonus features that will be on the Blu-ray. People get the "The Captain's Log of the Legend! 'Red-Haired' Shanks," "A Faint Memory! Luffy and Red-Haired's Daughter Uta," and "A Pledge for the New Genesis! Luffy and Uta" episodes, an unspecified number of trailers, and the web preview. As for the Season 13 Voyage 1 Blu-ray and DVD, its special feature is a textless opening video of "We Can!." Each of the 12 VTubers received a new illustration of them wearing a shrine maiden outfit. T-shirts, acrylic figures, teacups, hand towels, tapestries, and more featuring these illustrations will be on sale at the Hololive Kanda Festival 2023 event. The T-shirts and tapestries will also have versions with the VTubers in their regular outfits. The Kanda Festival is one of Tokyo's three major Shinto festivals, taking place at Kanda Shrine. It celebrates Tokugawa Ieyasu's victory at the battle of Sekigahara in the year 1600. The festival takes place on the Saturday and Sunday closest to May 15 in every odd-numbered year. HoYoVerse is sharing more character details now that Honkai: Star Rail's debut is drawing nearer, and the latest two involve Clara and Gepard. Both are five-star cast members who were playable in the betas and will be a part of the game at launch. Both are also from Belobog. While Clara only appears in a piece of art, Gepard stars in a new trailer. Both of these new announcements come after the game hit 10 million pre-registrations. Clara always appears alongside the robot Svarog in Honkai: Star Rail. She's a Physical element character who follows The Destruction path. This means that her moveset is built around dealing damage to opponents.
As for Gepard, he's an Ice element character who follows The Preservation path in Honkai: Star Rail. This means he's designed to help protect both himself and the other three characters in the party. He's captain of the Silvermane Guards. After a brief cinematic establishing who he is, it shows him in battle attacking with his shield. However, the end of the Honkai: Star Rail character trailer for him hints at a less serious side, as he appears to be singing along to a song at the end of it. More popular animal characters are coming to Sega Corporation's lineup, as the company announced in a press release that it will acquire Rovio Entertainment Oyj. Sega offered to purchase all of Rovio's outstanding shares and options, and Rovio's board of directors accepted. The friendly takeover will cost Sega a total of EUR 706 million, or about $770 million. Things will begin on or around May 8, 2023. Rovio is a game development company that primarily creates and publishes mobile games. Its largest and most well-known series is Angry Birds, which had its first game released in 2009. Collectively, Rovio games have been downloaded over 5 billion times. This acquisition comes as part of Sega's goal to "further strengthen its position in this fast-growing mobile and global gaming market." Per an October 2022 IDG Report, the mobile gaming market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5% from 2022 to 2026, with mobile gaming expected to represent 56% of the overall global gaming market. Sega believes that Rovio will be helpful in developing mobile and multi-platform versions of its existing IPs. Currently, Sega is working with NieR creator Yoko Taro on a mobile game called 404 Game RE:SET. It will feature human versions of classic Sega games that cause trouble for the world around them after being turned evil. Players are tasked with purifying these characters in order to save the world. Sega's acquisition of Rovio will officially begin when its offer commences on or around May 8, 2023. The Steam page for Seven Nights Ghost is now open, showing that it will come out some time in August 2023. According to the description, it is a "heartwarming FPS horror exploration game" in which you live with a ghost for a week. It will be available in English and Japanese, as well as have controller support. But the ghost is there to turn on the light in the middle of the night or pop out from the table in this horror game. The story follows the protagonist after they move into a haunted apartment. Though the ghost does not plan on taking their life, she does take their doughnut. As an aside, there is a minor jump scare at the end of the trailer. The game will revolve around the protagonist completing set missions every night. The ghost will chase you, so you have to make sure she doesn't catch you. It's a little unclear what she'll do to you if she gets you, since she won't kill you. As you solve the little problems that pop up throughout your life with the ghost, the two of you will start to get closer. There appears to be a secret connection between the protagonist and the ghost that you'll discover over the seven nights. Seven Nights Ghost will come out in August 2023 for Windows PC via Steam. This Raid is good for farming, as each Blissey will drop various Tera Shards, as well as EXP Candies. You'll get more of these items than in usual Raids too. During the Raid period, there is the chance to meet a happy Blissey. If you defeat this particular Blissey, you'll be able to get an even wider variety of Tera Shards than when you beat a normal one. In general though, the Blissey Raid is very rewarding no matter what kind of Blissey you fight. This is because they are fairly easy to win against, even if it's a five-star Raid, and you can use the rewards to greatly power up your Pokemon. Originally, the Blissey Raid ran from March 24-26, 2023. So it did not take very long before this re-run. This is likely because of the aforementioned awards you get whenever you beat a Raid. The announcement also stated that the fans really enjoyed this particular event. The original Blissey Raid ran congruently with the Decidueye one, and coincidentally, this Blissey re-run will run alongside the Typhlosion one. These two are the final evolutions of the Pokemon Legends Arceus starters, however the ones found here are their standard versions. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch. Production Kawaii announced it is taking legal action against people who harassed and invaded the privacy of VTuber Isla Coleman. CEO Kyosuke Kinoshita shared a statement condemning the behaviors. Kinoshita noted that "criminal and civil legal actions" are being pursued against the people who targeted the performer. The announcement also noted that she may graduate as a result of the offenders' actions. Isla Coleman debuted back in April 2021 and is a first generation Production Kawaii VTuber. In addition to streaming games, she's also known for singing and performing. The official statement noted the harassment consisted of doxing, with unnamed individuals attempting to share her actual identity and address. Kinoshita's announcement stated that "criminal and civil legal actions" are being pursued and she may graduate if the company "cannot ensure her safety and security." Here's the full statement.
Isla Coleman also issued a statement on TwitLonger about what's happening. She noted, "As a creator, I'm entitled to my personal life and there are things that I am not obligated to share while I am in Kawaii. I'm very disappointed that these "Coleknights", whose names and contributions I remember from my chat and community, have been sharing my personal information like it's a trophy to be proud of, when in reality it has greatly impacted my mental wellbeing." If Isla Coleman does graduate, she will join a number of other Production Kawaii VTubers who left the company in 2023. All five Enchantasia members retired this year. USJ (Universal Studios Japan) announced that its annual One Piece event will return in Summer 2023. The limited event will run from July 5, 2023 to October 10, 2023. It'll feature a performance using water, and the actors for Luffy and the others will actually go up to the audience and greet them. [Thanks, Oricon!] The title of the show will be "Explode, Fire Fist" and it seems that the Marines (along with Smoker) will make an appearance. Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates might have to fight them to save three queens. It's unclear which queens the summary refers to. As per usual, this story will be an original one for the park. So it will not be canon, nor will it be based on a canon arc. Every year, the show will feature the Straw Hat Pirates fighting a veritable menagerie of enemies from the anime and manga series. In 2022, USJ re-themed its Hollywood Dream: The Ride to be a One Piece one during the Premier Summer show. So it might do that again this year. For sure, though, Sanji's Pirate Restaurant will open up for another year to serve those hungry for his grub. When the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020, USJ had to cancel its One Piece Premier Show 2020. While the show did re-open, it had to cut back on some of the audience interaction due to social distancing rules. However, the 2023 event will mark a complete revival of the show. It is once again time to start gathering Irregular Tomestones and giving them to Itinerant Moogles to access the Moogle Treasure Trove in Final Fantasy XIV. Square Enix announced the event returns on April 24, 2023. It also highlighted the Porxie Earrings, Megalotragus Horn for the mount, and Modern Aesthetics Gyr Abanian Plait hairstyle rewards. There's no exact end date yet, as the event will end the day the 6.4 patch arrives in late May 2023. As usual, when you check for Duties in the Duty Finder, you'll note that some Raids. will have a Moogle icon showing they are part of the Moogle Treasure Trove Final Fantasy XIV event. Once you get those Final Fantasy XIV Irregular Tomestones of Mendacity for Moogle Treasure Trove, you can trade them in at three locations.
