Crunchyroll announced its Anime Expo 2023 plans, which included the reveal that 20 show premieres will take place. In some cases, it's the first time certain simulcasts or dubs will appear. It will be at booth #3000 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. A Crunchyroll Lounge will be at the JW Marriott July 1-3, 2023. Here's the list of all the Crunchyroll Anime Expo 2023 premieres coming up. Where each one will be held and at what time is also specified. In some cases, it's only a North American premiere or the first time people are seeing the English dub. In some cases, there will be "rounds" of premieres, so it is uncertain which episode will air first. In those cases, I've put the start time for that "block" instead.

7-Eleven's Japanese branch announced a promotion with Hololive Shiranui Kensetsu characters is now live. As this involves 7-Eleven stores in Japan, people would likely need to turn to eBay or an auction site to get one of the clear files. While supplies last, people can get A4-size clear files of Hololive VTubers Shiranui Flare, Hoshimachi Suisei, Omaru Polka, Sakura Miko, and Shirogane Noel when they buy two Kowa Kewpie drinks. The name Shiranui Kensetsu comes from the fact that the Hololive VTubers Hoshimachi Suisei, Omaru Polka, Sakura Miko, and Shirogane Noel are part of Shiranui Flare's Minecraft construction group and have their own Vtuber unit at the company. (The group has not released any songs as a group.) For these Hololive clear files, each character is wearing a school uniform. Here's a closer look at all five of the Hololive Shiranui Kensetsu 7-Eleven clear files. Each one features one of the members in the school uniform on the front. When Blizzard released the Lord of Destruction expansion for Diablo II, it added the Assassin and Druid characters to the original games's five class lineup. Similarly, Diablo III's adventurer roster was bolstered by the addition of the Crusader class in Reaper of Souls and the Necromancer in Rise of the Necromancer. While Blizzard didn't announced anything yet, it's not unreasonable to assume there is potential for more classes to be added to Diablo IV as well, especially since the battle pass system likely means plenty of post-launch support. So what potential new classes could we perhaps expect? First, let's take stock of the existing roster to see what roles or concepts might be missing, or what might compliment the starting classes. Currently, Diablo IV players can pick between the heavily armed Barbarian, the enchanting Sorcerer, the agile Rogue, the shape-shifting Druid, and the minion-summoning Necromancer. Now there are a few observations we can make about this lineup. First, there's only one heavy armor-wearing front-liner: the Barbarian. While the Druid can specialize in a tanky Bear form, they are also more of a flexible hybrid able to fill any role. Though the Necromancer has a wall of minions and can wear ornate-looking plate armor, their play style is more akin to a caster. In fact, of the classes three are casters of some form or another, so a more physical class would also add some variety. [caption id="attachment_967130" align="aligncenter" width="1200"] The most immediate pick is some variant of the plate-armored Crusader joining the Barbarian on the front lines and potentially adding some support options for party-based play. It would also fit with the very Church-heavy storyline in Act 1. If Blizzard wants to differentiate it from the class added in Reaper of Souls it could always tweak the theme a bit. Naming it the Knight Penitent, for example, opens up a path for a blood-themed, flagellant vibe in addition to the typical holy knight style. Perhaps they could utilize the Church's Iron Maiden-esque suits of armor as an ultimate? Either way, it's a solid option, if predictable. Other previously appearing classes include the Amazon and the Monk. The Amazon, while a unique theme, may have most of its roles and aesthetics covered by the existing Rogue and Barbarian. The monk, however, could very well fill those aforementioned support roles while being reasonably survivable in the front line. Depending on the theme, it could even perhaps provide an aesthetic contrast to those religious elements in the early acts. [caption id="attachment_967277" align="aligncenter" width="1200"] Now Blizzard loves to retread old ground and bring back past favorites, but what if it wants to try something genuinely new? We're treading even further into speculation territory here, but we can still pull from themes and ideas in Diablo IV for guidance. Blood, for example, features heavily in both the thematic sense of family bonds, but there are also literal buckets of the stuff in the plagued areas. Pulling from that, a Vampiric character or Blood Knight could fit right in. Such a class is perhaps encroaching on the Necromancer's turf, but a lifesteal-heavy class that could lean into a more aristocratic aesthetic could fit. We could also look for inspiration in the same cultures and locales like developers themselves did. For example, areas like Caldeum and Kehjistan invoke Arab and Turkish cultural influences, so Blizzard could draw from that area of history. Imagine a class modeled after a Mameluke or Janissary, an agile but tough front-liner wielding a spear and shield much like Darkest Dungeon's Shieldbreaker. Xiansai, the home of Diablo III's Wizard, is inspired by China and Asia, so we could do something similar and pull from those cultures too. Plus, new classes in Diablo IV necessarily don't need to be entirely new to the series; they could simply be a different interpretation. Imagine a warrior, but inspired more by Three Kingdoms-esque Chinese generals than European knights, or twist the Monk's aesthetic by drawing influence from Japanese Sohei instead of Shaolin practitioners. Ultimately, we'll have to wait and see what plans Blizzard has for developing Diablo IV, but in the mean time, What class (or classes?) would you like to see added to the game? The Mario and Luigi Nendoroids are now available to order once again via the Good Smile Store. Each of the brothers is posable with a stand and come with several accessories, with direct pre-orders also eligible to receive one of four Sing and Hand part sets as part of a bonus campaign. The Mario Nendoroid costs $46.99 or ¥6,800, depending on whether someone buys from the US or Japanese storefront. The Luigi Nendoroid is available to order for $40.99 or ¥5,900. Orders from the Japanese store are expected to ship in November 2023, with US store orders expected to arrive in Q1 2024. The Mario Nendoroid comes with two expressions, a coin, some blocks and a mushroom, as well as a background and dust cloud parts to simulate him running. Luigi brings with him three expressions, dash and jump effect parts, and a pipe. Two enemies are also included with each brother. A Boo and a Buzzy Beetle come with Mario, and a Goomba and Bullet Bill appear with Luigi. You can get a look at both models in the gallery below. Luigi was originally released in 2014 in Japan, but made available overseas in 2015 alongside the Mario Nendoroid. They were also previously re-released in April 2020, making this the third time the pair have been available to order. Nintendo also recently collaborated with both Build-a-Bear and Licca-chan for Super Mario merchandise. The Mario and Luigi Nendoroid will arrive in Japan in November 2023, with US store orders expected to arrive in Q1 2024. HoYoVerse shared yet another Genshin Impact soundtrack EP video. This is basically an extended music video that shows locations in Sumeru while tracks from the region play. In many of the places, people will see the Genshin Impact five-star Dendro swordsman Alhaitham. Here's the full list of all three songs from the game that appear in this EP.
Here's the full Genshin Impact The Realm of Reflection soundtrack EP video. Things begin with Alhaitham in the Akademiya. For the second song, he's out in one of Sumeru's forests. Finally, he heads to a tavern for the final track. As a reminder, this Genshin Impact Sumeru soundtrack video arrives right as Alhaitham returns to the game. His rerun banner kicked off again on June 13, 2023. Both he and Kazuha are available again as focus units. That will remain available until July 4, 2023. Genshin Impact music videos tend to appear rather regularly. They also always focus on a few characters while highlighting songs from the game. For example, in April 2023 a "Thoughts Like Wind and Dew" EP video appeared. Its clips showed Nahida at different places in Sumeru. Before 2023 ends, we'll see Honkai: Star Rail figures of Trailblazer avatars Caelus and Stelle in Astral Express uniforms like Pom-Pom. HoYoVerse (Mihoyo) and Ribose announced a pair of statues based on both characters. They are expected to launch in December 2023. AmiAmi is accepting pre-orders for both the Caelus and Stelle versions of the "Welcome to Train Tea Party" figures. Each one is ¥2,350 (~$16.84) through the retailer. However, it also does note on the product pages that the normal retail price is ¥2,480 ($17.73). Both of these Caelus and Stelle Honkai: Star Rail figures are static ones with no additional parts or accessories for posing. The Trailblazers are wearing Pom-Pom's uniform, rather than their usual attire. Each one is also eating a sandwich. Both are estimated to be about 80mm (3in) tall. The wind-wielding Goenitz will appear in KOF XV later this month as part of a free update that also brings cross-play. Goenitz will be available as both a playable character and a boss challenge with unlockable rewards. Ahead of the update, which goes live on June 20,2023, SNK released a character trailer. Defeating Goenitz in Boss Challenge mode will reward players with a new stage, The Strange Plateau, and a new BGM, "Trash Head -KOF XV ver-." It will also award a new costume and a title. The addition of cross-platform play will allow players on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, or PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, or Windows Store to face each other regardless of platform. It was previously announced as part of the update roadmap, and an open beta test appeared in late April 2023. The next character set to arrive is Najd, the Saudi Arabian vigilante. Good Smile Company announced the Knuckles the Echnida Nendoroid is on its way soon, completing the trio of Sonic the Hedgehog heroes. Knuckles can now be pre-ordered from the Good Smile Company's storefront until July 13, 2023. It will cost either ¥6,700 or $50.99 depending on which storefront you order from. The figure is set to release in January 2024 from the Japanese store and Q1 2024 from the US one. Knuckles will come equipped with three different eye parts and three mouth parts. Tails will follow in December 2023, or Q1 2024 from the US store. Knuckles will also be appearing in the next Sonic game. Sonic Superstars was announced at Summer Game Fest and will be a 2.5D platformer developed by Sonic Team and Arsezt. Players will be able to control Sonic, Tails, Knuckles or Amy, and the game can be played in co-op. It will release in Fall 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. The new Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections character trailer is here. This time, it introduces three new playable fighters. All of them hail from Boruto. Boruto (Karma), Kawaki, and Jigen will all appear in the game. This means that we should end up seeing at least two versions of Boruto, Naruto's son, in the game. This is the third Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections trailer focused on characters so far. The Narutop 99 one involved returning cast members while also calling back to the fan poll. Another one introduced additional newcomers. Both Baryon Mode Naruto and Supporting Kage Sasuke will be a part of the roster this time around. Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections will appear on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC. It is in development and there is still no release date for it yet.
