I get the same kind of blank canvas choice paralysis I do in games like Minecraft, or anything where there's no real clear objective for what I'm meant to be building. I sit there with a big toybox of lovely things to stick together, but always end up deflated and disappointed with my own lack of imagination. But Summerhouse, the sandbox citybuilder (or townbuilder, more like) from solo developer Friedemann is just teeny-tiny enough to give me a sense of creative satisfaction. I've been playing its gorgeous little demo this week in between Palworld sessions, and yes, more of this please, this is utterly delightful. Happily, we don't have to wait too long for the final game now either, as it's coming to Steam on March 8th. |

The monster-catching survival sim continues to set concurrent play records on Steam, and Pocketpair are presently focussed on fixing bugs. HoYoVerse revealed the pull art for Aventurine, who will debut in Honkai: Star Rail version 2.1. He, along with Acheron, will be the new five-stars for the update.
When Aventurine debuts in Honkai: Star Rail, he will be an Imaginary Preservation unit. More information on his kit will appear closer to his release date. His name, like Topaz's, comes from a gemstone. This seems to be a running theme with the Ten Stonehearts, which he is a part of. Aventurine has a gambler theme, and he attained his high position in the IPC Strategic Investment Department "by wagering against fate itself." HoYoVerse first introduced Aventurine in Version 1.4 at the end of the Future Market Trailblaze Continuance.
Aventurine's Japanese voice actor is Kengo Kawanishi. Kawanishi's previous roles include Iori in Fate/Samurai Remnant and Mika in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. His Chinese voice actor is Chaoran Yang. Chaoran previously appeared in Genshin Impact as Alhaitham, and he also voices Dan Feng in Honkai: Star Rail. Finally, his English voice actor is Camden Sutkowski. This is Sutkowski's debut in voice acting for a video game.
Honkai: Star Rail is readily available for the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Aventurine will debut in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.1.

A live-action movie and television series of Oshi no Ko will come out in Winter 2024. This is a joint effort between Amazon and Toei. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
A new key visual for the live-action Oshi no Ko project shows the six main characters re-enacting poses from the anime and manga series. The show will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime. Meanwhile, Toei will distribute the movie in theaters. The release windows for the show and movie are still unclear.
The cast for the live-action adaptations of Oshi no Ko is as follows:
Most of the actors and actresses playing these characters were actually idols before they graduated from their agencies to pursue other careers.
Oshi no Ko is a popular anime and manga series about a pair of twins, Aqua and Ruby, who were fans of the idol, Ai. They find themselves reincarnated as Ai's twin children, and they become idols themselves to solve the mystery of their mother's death. Yen Press is releasing the manga in English and HIDIVE is distributing the anime adaptation.
The live-action show and movie of Oshi no Ko will come out in Winter 2024. Yen Press handles the manga outside Japan, and chapters appear on Manga Plus. The anime is streaming on HIDIVE.

A figure of Ado as Eiichiro Oda, the mangaka of One Piece, is now available to pre-order. You can only get her at the Jump Characters Store or at Universal Music Store. [Thanks, Dengeki Hobby!]
Pre-orders will end on February 25, 2024. There are two kinds of figures that you can purchase. The first one is a scale figure standing at around 200 millimeters. The second one is a palm-sized one at around 70 millimeters. You'll be able to get the scale figure for 16,500 JPY ($111.35) and the smaller one for 2970 JPY ($20.05). Incidentally, if you order from Universal Music Store, you'll be able to get a set of three postcards. Neither Jump Character Store nor Universal Music Store offer international shipping though.
Ado was the singing voice of Uta in One Piece Film: Red, with songs such as "New Genesis" and "I'm Invincible." These songs are available on Ado's YouTube channel and Virgin Music released a soundtrack album containing all of the songs. Oda's version of Ado appears on the cover of this album alongside Uta.
One Piece is available to watch via streaming services such as Crunchyroll. The One Piece Ado figure will no longer be available for pre-order after February 25, 2024. It'll ship out on July 19, 2024.

How to tame a mount in Enshrouded Unfortunately, Enshrouded doesn't have mounts or tamable animal companions of any kind currently. I know, I'm sad about it too. Sons of the Forest is fun, but the building isn't great. Ark Survival Ascended is thrilling, but the in-game timer is too unforgiving. Enshrouded isn't without flaws, but it's the best survival crafting game I've played in a while. What I like most about Enshrouded is it cleverly creates a satisfying gameplay loop out of bouncing players between building and questing, it features a beautiful blend of hand-combed survival crafting tropes and RPG mechanics, and the open world is a massive playground riddled with Shrouds, secrets, and scenic views.
