Ahead of Hololive Super Expo 2024 and 5th Fes, the Idol Project song "Capture the Moment" appeared. The title is also the slogan for the concert being held March 16-17, 2024.
There's no official music or lyric video for the new Hololive Idol Project song just yet. At the moment, the track is only live on a number of streaming services like Deezer, Line Music, Spotify, and YouTube Music. The standard and instrumental versions are a part of the single. The initial reveal does include images of the new idol outfits for Hololive 5th fes and features Vtubers like Tokino Sora, Usada Pekora, Ookami Mio, IRyS, Amane Kanata, Momosuzu Nene, Kazama Iroha, and Kobo Kanaeru.

The announcement also noted the same people who composed this song made the first Hololive Idol Project song "Shiny Smily Story" in 2019.
As a reminder, the subtitle for each Hololive fes concert usually ends up being a new song performed at the event by the company's performers. The Hololive 4th Fes one was "Our Bright Parade." That one ended up having members from every branch singing. "Capture the Moment" is continuing that tradition.
Hololive Super Expo 2024 and 5th Fes will be held March 16-17, 2024. People can attend virtually and stream the performances.

Capcom announced salary increases for all incoming staff for financial year 2025. In addition, smaller salary increases will be applied to all existing staff within the next financial year.
Graduates joining Capcom in the 2025/2026 financial year will be seeing salary increases of nearly 30%, raising the figure from ¥235,000 per month to ¥300,000 per month. In addition, all existing employees within Capcom will be seeing their salaries increased by 5% within the next financial year for 2024/2025. Employees will also receive an additional bonus payment which Capcom describe as an investment in their people. The figure of this special payment has not been disclosed.
These increases are part of a wider investment in staff across Capcom. Since 2022, the company has restructured its human resources department and introduced additional compensation for employees. A bonus system based on company performance had previously been introduced, and employees are also being offered stock options. The latest salary increases are also part of a wider 30% increase since 2022. It's also a reflection of Capcom's wider financial successes in recent years, with net sales up 33% as of their most recent financial report.
This announcement marks a rare bit of good news in an industry rocked by layoffs at companies including Sega and Activision Blizzard.
The Capcom salary increases will come into effect during financial year 2024/2025.

There's an Extra Life and Butterfinger DLC promotion for FFVII Rebirth, but there's a chance to miss this Final Fantasy VII Shinra Bangle MK. II piece of armor soon. It is tied to $5 minimum Extra Life donations in North and South America until March 8, 2024.
Here's how you get one. First, you need to visit the official site. Once there, make the $5 donation. You'll get a Square Enix Members code, which you need to use at that official site. After you redeem the code there, you get another code you can use on your PS5. Use that there. Then, after you get into Kalm proper and are able to redeem DLC from the menu in-game, you can get the FFVII Rebirth Shinra Bangle MK. II.
This isn't the first time that Square Enix had Butterfinger DLC for a FFVII game or Final Fantasy entry in general. With FFVII Remake, people could get things like a Mako Crystal, SuperStar Belt, Corneo's Armlet, Shinra Bangle, and Midgar Bangle for buying candy bars. There was also a dynamic PS4 theme featuring Tifa's key art for the game as part of the promotion. In FFXIV, people could get a Chocorpokkur mount by buying Butterfingers.
However, if someone does miss this DLC accessory promotion involving the candy bar, there's a chance we could see it return. Following the one for FFVII Remake, items ended up being released for free.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available for the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024.

Good Smile Company revealed its new Sakura Miku Hatsune Miku scale figure in a Hanami Outfit, and it is a 1/6 one that will be almost 12 inches tall. She'll arrive in Japan in January 2025, with a global release following in Q2 2025.
As this is a 1/6th scale, static figure it is one of the more expensive ones. She comes in at ￥22,000/$135.99. Rather than one of her more typical outfits in shades of pink, like many Sakura Miku designs, the figure is wearing an entirely different outfit here. It is a more casual one designed to look like clothing someone would wear to go view cherry blossoms As a nod to that, there are cherry charms on her hat and purse, and she has a barrette with them on it. As for the figure, it also features hair that gradually turns translucent at the ends.
Here's a closer look at the new figure from different angles.
This is coming up because it is coming up on hanami season in Japan. The cherry blossoms tend to bloom around the end of March and beginning of April each year. There's also a pop up shop with merchandise of Miku and the other Vocaloids in pink attire for the season too.
The Sakura Miku: Hanami Outfit figure will join Good Smile Company's array of available Hatsune Miku figures in Japan in January 2025 and the rest of the world in Q2 2025. Pre-order are open until April 17, 2025.

In a recent interview with Dengeki Online, members of the FFXIV development team talked about the creation of the final Myths of the Realm Thaleia for Patch 6.5. Lead background artist Yoshiki Takanashi, character artist Ryota Itonaga, and character concept artist Marina Otani participated in the interview. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
When asked about whether the arena for the battle against Thaliak resembles the Thaliak River that is located in the Dravanian Hinterlands, Takanashi said that the similarities are no purpose and the arena looks like this because of an "outrageous" request from the game content team. The team asked the artist to create an arena that seemed like "walking on top of water running from a water container."
For the fight against Llymlaen, the concept was to create a stage where the power of the wind parts the seas to form the arena. When Takanashi heard about the concept for the stage, he was very surprised and decided to also make it so the arena transforms into a T-shape due to the water walls. Additionally, Takanashi confirmed that for the Llymlaen fight some graphical updates were already included to facilitate the flowing water effects.
During the Oschon fight, the enemy turns into a giant and the player is sent into the sky. Making sure that the player can tell the movement, and maintaining the scale of the enemy proved tricky for the developers, so they decided to move the mountains in the background manually to create the impression of depth in the arena.
As for deciding the design of the Thaleia bosses in FFXIV, Otani said that they used the statues of Thaliak and Halone as reference, and then examined all the pieces of equipment in the game to add to the designs. Since there are 10 years' worth of equipment, the artists described it as a very heavy process.
Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available for the PS4, PS5, and Windows PC. The Xbox Series X open beta is live now. The Dawntrail expansion will launch in Summer 2024.
