Earlier this week, a trailer for a purportedly canned multiplayer Spider-Man title from Insomniac Games leaked online. Called Spider-Man: The Great Web, the multiplayer spinoff would've allowed a number of iterations on the character to tackle crime, and ultimately the Sinister Six, cooperatively. Insomniac's Peter…

Ex Riot devs share new details on upcoming RPG extraction game

With extraction shooters like Dark and Darker and Escape From Tarkov innovating in the multiplayer and co-op shooter space, it was only a matter of time before a studio decided to rethink the whole 'shooting' aspect of the genre. That's the case with Seekers of Skyveil, the debut project from the ex Riot Games devs at Elodie Games, which is blending extraction design with the colorful characters of a game like Overwatch and, naturally enough, the RPG influences of MOBAs such as League of Legends. Now, after waiting a while for more information, we've just received a big update on how the game is shaping up.

Cities Skylines 2 meets Ghost of Tsushima in newly updated Steam game

If there's anything audiences love more than building and managing cities, it's doing so in historical settings. From Romans: Age of Caesar and the earlier stages of Tropico 6 through to classics like Stronghold, Pharaoh, and Caesar 3, experiencing the past by trying to successfully recreate bygone cities and towns is always an enticing prospect. Sengoku Dynasty fits neatly into this genre, tasking players with creating and taking care of villages in a fictionalized feudal Japan, and, with its latest major update, the Early Access game is in its best shape to date.

Nioh 2 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar lead this month's Humble Choice

Of the many soulslikes that have come out over the years, very few have been received as warmly as Nioh 2. It, and its predecessor, found success by exploring a well-rendered setting in their foreboding, supernaturally tinged versions of feudal Japan and, of course, by building on creator Team Ninja's knack for impactful action systems, as shown in games like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Ninja Gaiden. Fortunately, anyone who's been looking for a good opportunity to try Nioh 2 out for themselves now has a great opportunity. It, along with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, is headlining this month's selection of free Humble Choice games.

Last time, you decided that a little hand for a cursor is better than left-handed FPS options. I dearly hope that when you clicked on your vote, your Windows cursor was a little gauntlet or skeletal hand or such. Onwards! This week, I ask you about grabbing (and poking, pulling, burning, pressing, activating, and otherwise using) stuff. What's better, highlighted interactive objects or retrievable reusable ammo?

FFVII Rebirth Art Team Made Sandwiches in Real Life for the Game

Square Enix revealed that the sandwiches that appear in FFVII Rebirth were prepared in real life and added to the game. The official FFVII Remake Project X (formerly Twitter) account shared a post to celebrate Sandwich Day in Japan, which is celebrated on March 13.

The post revealed that the sandwiches that appear in-game were recreated by taking pictures of real sandwiches made by hand by members of the FFVII Rebirth art team and then using them as the textures. The image shows sandwiches with a variety of different fillings, including savory and sweet sandwiches.

You can take a better look at the FFVII Rebirth sandwiches and their real-life counterparts here:

In addition, these sandwiches can also be ordered from the menu available at the Square Enix Cafe in Akihabara and the ARTNIA café and store in Shinjuku. Aside from the sandwiches, both the Square Enix Cafe and ARTNIA are currently offering an FFVII Rebirth collaboration, and a real-life replica of the Buster Sword is on display at both locales.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is immediately available for the PlayStation 5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC.
