     Huge WoW streamer brands players

We all gasped when we saw World of Warcraft's 2024 roadmap. Sure, Cataclysm Classic and The War Within are great, but that little black flag with the ever-iconic skull and crossbones was what really got players' attention. A pirate update?! Would we be sailing the seas of Azeroth Assassin's Creed Black Flag style? Or searching for long-lost treasure while donning a snazzy hat? Well, that's really not what World of Warcraft Plunderstom is - and people absolutely hate it.

A new Steam Deck OS is coming, and it could transform Valve's handheld

So many competitors are coming for Valve's crown when it comes to gaming on the go, but one new startup is placing a big emphasis on its operating system, and it may cause the Steam Deck some real problems. Playtron has secured $10m in funding, and it's really impressed us with an early demo of its Linux-based OS.

We consider the Steam Deck OLED to be the best handheld gaming PC that money can buy, with genuine contenders often beating it in terms of raw power, but not when it comes to the operating system. Both the Lenovo Legion GO and ROG Ally are great devices that are often let down by the Windows OS, which can sometimes make games trickier to play compared to Valve's approach with SteamOS.

This gorgeous new indie RPG is the Zelda game PC is missing

The likes of Genshin Impact, the upcoming Zenless Zone Zero, and of course FromSoftware's mighty Elden Ring all draw big inspiration from Zelda, but that classic mix of action RPG and dungeon exploration with the coziness of wandering around a friendly village is something the PC landscape could benefit from more of. Set in a version of the Austrian Alps packed with magic, Dungeons of Hinterberg is a new game that delivers all that in a delightful, reasonably-sized package that's a feast for the eyes and won't consume your whole life. Ahead of its launch, PCGamesN spoke to franchise director Kristian von Fersen of publisher Curve Games at GDC about the upcoming indie game.

What is the current and next Genshin Impact banner?

Genshin Impact banners rotate every few weeks on a precise schedule, and we always know what to expect thanks to regular updates from Hoyoverse. The developer of the anime game always keeps its fans in the loop with regular Twitter posts and live streams, so you can plan where you want to spend your hard-earned primogems.

With a two to three-week turnaround for banners, the roster of Genshin Impact characters is always changing, and the free PC game regularly introduces two new characters to wish for. Every limited-time character banner - or event wish - contains a five-star character and three four-star characters with increased drop rates. There's also a Genshin Impact weapon banner, which runs alongside each character banner and changes weapons every update.

Genshin Impact tier list March 2024: the best characters in 4.5

Looking for a Genshin Impact tier list? There are currently 82 Genshin Impact characters available, providing you with a wide variety of candidates to construct your dream team. But with so many weapons, elementals, talents, ascension bonuses, and constellation upgrades, finding your favorites can be challenging.

Don't let the placement of the characters on our Genshin Impact tier list deter you from pulling on the next character banner. While base stats and elemental abilities are important, the value of a character also depends on personal playstyle, available weapons and artifacts, and team composition. It doesn't matter if your favorite Genshin Impact character is on one of the lower tiers; you can still make it work with our recommended Genshin Impact builds. Being on a lower tier in the free PC game means that there are better alternatives, or the character needs a very specific build or team to shine. We've spent hundreds of hours trying different variations of teams in Spiral Abyss to establish who the best characters are in Genshin Impact.

All Alone in the Dark combination lock puzzle solutions

What are the Alone in the Dark combination lock solutions? We've been here before. While Alone in the Dark is very much its own game, it's easy to draw similarities to other genre stalwarts like Resident Evil. These parallels are only aggravated by the similarity in some of the puzzles, and it's hard to think of a horror survival game without at least one combination lock.

The 1992 original Alone in the Dark is one of the games considered as having launched the genre, but the colorful, almost comical game never had quite the same grit and gore as, say, Resident Evil 1, which came a few years later, and it's puzzles were far simpler. Utilizing everything the horror survival game genre is today, Alone in the Dark has many more head-scratchers to solve as we return to 1920s Deep South, and the story of Edward Carby and Emily Harwood.

Alone in the Dark chapel medallion solutions

How do you unlock the hollow doors in Alone in the Dark? The best horror survival games are filled with complex puzzles and conundrums - after all, a jump scare just wouldn't be the same if you didn't have to spend ten minutes unlocking the door in front of it first. As you explore Derceto Manor in Alone in the Dark, and another world entirely, there are plenty of brain-teasers to keep you distracted from what might be creeping around you.

Among the most terrifying locations in the horror game are the chapel crypts you enter directly from the Manor basement. Naturally filled with undead creatures, this area of Alone in the Dark has three separate doors that must be unlocked with gold medallions - very Resident Evil. To get these hollow doors open as quickly as possible, and avoid being devoured by monsters, here's whether to find each of the Alone in the Dark chapel medallions and how to arrange them.

In a classic survival game puzzle, you must find two missing pieces of a puzzle, place them in the clock, and rearrange them. It's GDC week, and conversations are being had about AI. Ubisoft have blundered into this, in classic Ubi style, by revealing that they've had an R&D team beavering away on a project called NEO NPC. It's the usual pitch. "Have you ever dreamed of having a real conversation with an NPC in a video game?", asks Ubi's official post about it. And what all people who make this fail to understand that the answer most normal people give if they think about it is "Erm, probably no, actually?"

Still, the internet made good hay from the prototype image Ubisoft shared on Xitter, as many people took the opportunity to make fun of the dialogue from Bloom, a prototype man in a prototype beanie who wants to be your friend.

stardew valley 1.5 mobile Stardew Valley 1.6.1 Patch Notes Shared Ahead of Launch

Eric "Concerned Ape" Barone announced the Stardew Valley 1.6.1. update is on the way and shared early patch notes for it. There is no new content in it, as it is all about fixing new issues that popped up.

Many of the issues stop the game either from crashing or not working as expected. For example, crashes tied to the Junimo harvester, farmhand, and animal page will stop happening. There will also be issues that went awry, like the egg quest text or telephone robin house upgrade, that will now work properly.

Here are the full patch notes for the upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6.1 update.

  • Fixed botched German egg quest text (for new players going forward).
  • Prevent animal page from crashing when clicking on the scroll bar when there are a low number of animals.
  • Fix Junimo harvester in save crash.
  • Fix Meadowlands farm quest persisting if the farm icon was selected, but then another farm was started.
  • Fixed the telephone robin house upgrade question being malformed.
  • Improved cases where the quest title would go off the edge of the quest log.
  • Fixed eyebrow accessory looking weird when fishing.
  • Don't allow clipboard to be set to a null string.
  • Fixed crash when farmhand re-connects to town during green rain (and potentially other related crashes).
  • Fixed several map tile issues and places where forage could spawn out of bounds.

These complement the full patch notes for 1.6, which appeared on the day the update debuted. Those went over all the new items, new festivals, and new farm type.

Stardew Valley is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PCs, mobile devices, and the PlayStation Vita. The 1.6.1 update is live for PCs.

Armored Core 6 model kits by Bandai Spirits 30 Minutes Missions label

Bandai Spirits revealed new model kits based on Armored Core 6. The kits will be modeled after Raven's Nightfall (RaD CC-2200 Orbiter) and V.IV Rusty's Steel Haze (Schneider Nachtreiher/40E). Both kits will be available in September 2024 with the same price tag of 3,850 yen (~$25.40).

In addition to the AC unit model kits, Bandai Spirits will also sell an additional Weapon Set at 1,650 yen (~$11). As the title implies, this set will contain weapon parts that the owner can attach to any AC units in the series.

The reveal images of the new model kits are available to view right below:

Bandai Spirits made the reveals via its 30 Minutes Label announcement live stream. This stream also included new reveals of other original plastic model kits in the 30 Minutes Missions, 30 Minutes Sisters, and 30 Minutes Fantasy brands. The announcements of the Armored Core 6 model kits are available to watch from the 2:42:50 mark.

Model kits will not be the only merchandise coming from Bandai Spirits. The company has also previously revealed a Robot Spirits <Side AC> action figure of Ayre's IB-07: Sol 644 at the Tamashii Nation event in November 2023. But while the action figure of Ayre's unit will come pre-built, these model kits will have their parts split and grouped in runners, so the owner will have to assemble them first. Kotobukiya, which has been releasing Armored Core model kits from earlier entries that included the Nineball Seraph, has also confirmed plans to produce its own Armored Core 6 model kits.

Bandai Spirits' 30 Minutes Missions model kits of Raven's Nightfall and V.IV Rusty's Steel Haze from Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, along with an additional weapon set, will be available in September 2024.

The Hololive 5th Fes Concerts Were Filled With Emotional Moments 1

The sense of growth we've seen from Cover, with regards to its Hololive and Holostars Vtubers, has been extraordinary, and the performances during the Hololive 5th Fes concerts only cement how remarkable it and its talents are. We've seen the group go from the first 2020 concert involving only 30 songs, to the 2024 Capture the Moment concerts involving two stages, two days' worth of performances, and 105 songs sung.

For those unfamiliar with how these shows work, they happened on March 16-17, 2024. There were two stages each day, with certain Vtubers from the Hololive English, Indonesian, and Japanese branches all set to perform on certain stages and on certain days for the Hololive 5th Fes concerts. This meant someone would need to look up and see which people they liked were performing on which stages, then buy the streaming and archive tickets from a service like SPWN to watch the people they'd like. So on Stage 1 on the first day, 27 songs were performed, and Stage 2 featured 28 tracks. Each one ended with the Vtubers for that day performing "Capture the Moment," the new original song for this convention. On the second day, 28 songs were performed on Stage 3, and the Honeyworks x Hololive Stage had 22 tracks appear.

While all of the stages were incredible and notable in their own way, I was really struck by the Hololive x Honeyworks performances on March 17, 2024. There was such a great balance between the talents and both the covers and original tracks from this collaboration. Not to mention it kicked off in such a great way. Given the message behind "Fansa," kicking off that part of the show by asserting that they are going to captivate and get the audience to fall in love with them is such a way to hook people in. Not to mention Natsuiro Matsuri, Shirakami Fubuki, Shiranui Flare, and Shirogane Noel being such strong picks for that performance. To then follow that up with Inugami Korone's strong "Kawaiko Check" was a perfect way to build energy. Not to mention, seeing Houshou Marine and Usada Pekora perform "Bridal Dream" live like that amplified the message.

I also felt like this was such a big moment for Kiara Takanashi. Like I would say she stole the show on the first day and on Stage 1. Her new song "Chimera" debuted at the event. While people might refer to Hakos Baelz as being one of the best dancers in the English branch and Calliope Mori or IRyS as the best singers, her solo performance was incredible. Her dancing was on point and her voice was so strong. Then, we had her performing the duet "Wildcard" with Sakamata Chloe. Which, again, went beautifully due to how well their voices blend together. Plus, we had her sharing the stage for hosting duties with Gawr Gura briefly. Given the fact they are from the same generation, there's this natural ease and comfort between them, which really came through.

https://twitter.com/takanashikiara/status/1768935065982247329

Even when they weren't singing, the Hololive Vtubers were evoking these strong emotions during the 5th Fes concerts. A good example was during the Stage 3 performances. Nakiri Ayame and Laplus Darknesss appeared to talk to the audience between Moona Hoshinova and Nekomata Okayu's "Gimme x Gimme" duet and Fubuki singing "LETTER☆彡." When they did, the two started running across the stage, and Laplus tripped and fell. It was a legitimate slip, with Ayame confirming it wasn't scripted and Laplus explaining how it happened after in a zatsudan. It was this moment of pure shock and wondering if she was okay, then realizing the reactions and seeing her come through it.

Here's a Sushi Clips clip of Laplus discussing the moment.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPQLhEf-xbU&ab_channel=SushiClips

Of course, the real show stealer here and most emotional part of the Hololive 5th fes performance involved AZKi and Hoshimachi Suisei. The Stage 3 performances closed with the two performing "The Last Frontier" together. This duet between the two of them originally appeared in 2021. It was at a precarious time, as that was when AZKi was part of InoNaka Music, but not the main branch. (That happened in 2022.) It was unknown if AZKi would continue on. For this performance, the lyrics changed to reflect their new journey together. Plus, it was followed by Suisei reading a letter to AZKi that was so heartfelt and emotional, it ended with the two hugging and AZKI crying. To see how much these two people meant to each other and them connecting, as well as hearing this incredible song, was a perfect way to end concerts with the theme "Capture the Moment."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9wUbw5qevU&ab_channel=AZKiChannel

But all of these are only a handful examples of major moments during the concerts. So much was happening, and people were

I've said before that these live Hololive concerts shows exactly how talented these Vtubers are, and with each one of these events Cover and its performers show how gifted all of these individuals are. The sense of progress we've seen between the Hololive 1st Fes in 2020 and Hololive 5th Fes in March 2024 show both the strength of the company and the people who are trying their best, and we're seeing how much their passion and perseverance is paying off. It was a wonderful show with fantastic songs and, whether people watched it live or will catch the archive later, the emotions keep coming through.

VOD showings will be available to ticket holders on SPWN until the event expires on April 18, 2024. However, as time of writing, the archive is not yet available on the site.
