Path of Exile 2 devs are excited to compete with Diablo and Last Epoch

While Path of Exile 2 might now be a little further out than before, that's only as a result of developer Grinding Gear Games' pursuit to make the best RPG it can. Alongside the announcement of the PoE2 beta delay, PCGamesN speaks to game directors Jonathan Rogers and Mark 'Neon' Roberts about the resurgence of ARPGs in recent years and how it's approaching competition from the likes of Diablo 4 and Last Epoch.

New Valorant Agent Clove is the best bits of Sage and Astra in one

I have always said that Valorant needed a Scottish agent. It largely comes from the fact that I am, in fact, Scottish, and was hoping that, one day, Riot Games would approach me to borrow my unique Glaswegian accent for one of its characters. While I'm vaguely offended not to be the FPS game's next VA, I am absolutely obsessed with new Valorant agent Clove, whose Northern charm, colorful design, and interesting kit make them one to watch.

Thief and System Shock dev leads new roguelite mixing FPS and strategy

It's a roguelike strategy FPS game with bitesize immersive sim shootouts punctuated by broader long-term strategy planning, underpinned by a bold prism of colors and a sci-fi setting. We had the chance to talk with the game's audio director Ryan Roth at GDC all about the project, and how it channels its immersive sim pedigree from Thief, BioShock, and System Shock 2 into something totally new.

How to Unlock Magick Archer Vocation in Dragon's Dogma 2

While many are getting into Dragon's Dogma 2 right now, others could be heading into the original game before experiencing the sequel. The experience can be different for everyone. After all, you get the freedom to do what you want, when you want. Plus, you choose the sort of role you want to play. So, when heading into Dragon's Dogma or Dragon's Dogma 2, which vocation do you think is best?

I really liked the Mystic Knight in the original game. I loved having that nice big shield, the ability to magically imbue your parries or weapons, and the Magick Cannon ability is a really cool way to add in some ranged threat. I'm even more excited to try out the Mystic Spearhand in Dragon's Dogma 2, since I'm a long time advocate for spears and other pole-based weaponry. That said, the new additions to the greatsword wielding Warrior and arrow-slinging Archer are doing their darned'est to make me reconsider which Dragon's Dogma or Dragon's Dogma 2 vocation is best. -- Elliot

I am also an appreciator of magick classes in Dragon's Dogma, but for me it was the Magick Archer. Being able to get up close and personal with daggers, and sneak away from the front lines to shoot down powerful enemies with magick arrows from a distance is an incredible payoff to what could be a slow and tough beginning hours. For Dragon's Dogma 2 I will no doubt be playing another Magick Vocation, but I am still unsure on whether I'll go for the Mystic Spearhand or the mischievous Trickster. -- Daniel

Which Dragon's Dogma or Dragon's Dogma 2 vocation do you think is the best? Let us know in the comments!

Dragon's Dogma 2 MyrrdinA good old book-hunting quest can get overly complicated. That is if you don't know where to look. Here is where to find all grimoire locations in Dragon's Dogma 2 The Sorcerer's Appraisal quest. Dragon's Dogma 2: The Sorcerer's Appraisal Grimoire Locations The Sorcerer's Appraisal quest is the first quest given by Myrddin, the Sorcerer Maistro. If you are wondering where to find him, you will have to travel to Checkpoint Rest Town – yes, that's its name – and visit the house at the very top of the hill. Entering Myrddin's house to get the quest is a bit tricky because you will need Courtly Tunic and Courtly Breeches to give the impression that you belong to the nobility, convincing Myrddin to open up his doors to you. You can find these during the Stolen Throne quest or look for them at Comptroller's Home, located in Vernworth's south district. Screenshot: PC Invasion Myrddin will instruct you to fi...

How to get Astracite in Dragon's Dogma 2Astracite is a material that players can use to enhance weapons and armor in Dragon's Dogma 2. If you are having trouble finding this rare material, this guide has you covered. Dragon's Dogma 2: Where to find Astracite Players who want to collect Astracite can do so while exploring the world at night. Astracite is dropped by mysterious ghost-like enemies called Phantoms, who only come out during nighttime and are usually found traveling in packs. I had the best luck finding Phantoms north of Vernworth. Below shows a close up of what these enemies look like: Screenshot: PC Invasion Keep in mind that defeating a Phantom doesn't guarantee that Astracite will drop. Considering it's a rare material in the game, it may take a few trips through the night and defeating multiple Phantoms to get just one Astracite. To put this into perspective, it took me about 20 Phantoms kills to receive one Astracite. Most of the time, you will receive Miasmite. In other...

Dragons Dogma 2 Off The Pilfered Path How To Offer Hugo GuidanceAfter you make it to Battahl, you'll probably run into Hugo through the Coral Snakes quest before he's taken into gaol. This will lead to the "Off the Pilfered Path" quest in Dragon's Dogma 2 where you'll need to figure out how to offer Hugo guidance. Dragon's Dogma 2: How to offer Hugo guidance in Off the Pilfered Path When you first arrive at the scene in the gaol, Hugo won't want to speak a word of anything. Like most quests in Dragon's Dogma 2, figuring out what to do can be tough without any quest hints. You'll first want to start by walking into the Bakbattahl Gaol Guardhouse which is a small room near Hugo's cell. Screenshot: PC Invasion You'll find a Makeshift Gaol Key (I used this to open the cell containing a Seeker Token inside), and a book that you can read. Read the page, then speak with Hugo again. This time he'll have more to say, and if you speak to Dietrich after, he'll tel...
