It's inexplicable not only because it's a slow game low on interaction - the game is really just a plot delivery mechanism; a TV show you can walk around where you advance the story by pressing A - but also because it's a game created using handmade miniatures. It's a sci-fi animated dolls house under the sea, self described as "a cross between a game and a stop motion film", and if my game required that amount of labour I'd edit that script down. Then again, there aren't that many locations, so maybe you'd really want to show them off. I love miniatures, and Harold Halibut is beautiful. It's also a lovely story about finding yourself and your place in the world, even if that place is unexpected, and having the courage to take that step. There are unexpected silly bits and strange bits and bits where people break into song, and bits where you read undelivered letters. But, at the same time, I totally understand why some people would find it boring. |

In the 7.4 update Outfit Supply, people can get a Honkai Impact 3rd Fenghuang of Vicissitude costume. It's called Crane of Taixuan, and a new trailer shows exactly how it looks on Fu Hua in-game.
The video begins by showing a tranquil scene near a temple. Then, it goes to black and white and utilizes a sumi-e painting sort of aesthetic. We get to see Fu Hua in her new outfit from the back, before it heads into battle. Then, we see her get to face off against the enemy. When worn, it seems the outfit itself will involve inky effects when she attacks.
Here's a closer look at the Fenghuang of Vicissitude Crane of Taixuan costume people can get from the Honkai Impact 3rd Outfit Supply.
Fenghuang of Vicissitude is actually a relatively new battlesuit for Fu Hua. It launched in Honkai Impact 3rd in January 2024. It's an S-rank suit inspired by the Ichor of Garuda.
The latest new battlesuit is Mad Pleasure: Shadowbringer. That's one for the Seven Shus member Thelema Nutriscu.
Honkai Impact 3rd is available for the PC and mobile devices. The Fenghuang of Vicissitude costume will be available via the 7.4 Outfit Supply. Version 7.4 released on April 25, 2024.

Taimanin RPG Extasy service for the mobile game will end on August 1, 2024. Infini-Brain posted an announcement about this on its official website.
For starters, the company apologized for how sudden this shutdown was. Then, it moved on to explaining the end of service schedule. As of April 30, 2024, you will no longer be able to purchase Taima Crystals, Sets, the Battle Pass, or anything else that requires real money. If you bought something already, the company will not refund you for that purchase. You also will not be able to refund any of the items for Johren Credits. However, you're free to use your premium currency as you wish until service ends.
Taimanin RPG Extasy is a turn-based RPG game based off the Taimanin series. By virtue of that, it does feature quite a bit of not safe for work (NSFW) content, even if versions like the one on Steam are censored.
In 2023, there was a controversy surrounding Taimanin RPG Extasy due to the developers giving players too many gems. As a result, there was a debt system in which players had to earn the difference back. Because of this, the global version of the gacha costs 500 gems whereas the Japanese version's costs 50. This may be why Infini-Brain will not issue refunds, even though that has been the standard for most mobage ending service.
Taimanin RPG Extasy is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PC, and it will end service on August 1, 2024. The Japanese version is still available.

For the 45th anniversary of Tuxedo Sam, Sanrio will release several pieces of merchandise to commemorate him. The items are currently available via the online Sanrio store, and they'll start appearing in physical locations from mid-May 2024.

Tuxedo Sam debuted in 1979 and has been a relatively popular character in the Sanrio character rankings. He frequently appears either in the top 10 or the top 20. Tuxedo Sam is a penguin wearing a hat and a bow tie, which he collects. Aside from looking smart, he's also quite the distinguished gentleman. He can speak English and attended university in the United Kingdom. Tuxedo Sam has also made appearances in other Sanrio properties, such as Fragaria Memories.

Atlus' Japanese branch has been sharing daily demon videos for SMT V Vengeance going over different demons, and the latest volume looks at Tyrant Mephisto. When the game originally released, you could only get access to him if you bought his $2.99 add-on.
As this is the "definitive" version of SMT V, Mephisto is in Vengeance right away. However, you still need to go through the methods in the DLC to gain access to the Tyrant class demon and he is an endgame kind of character. You need to be able to access both Tokyo Diet Building and Kamiyacho to find Doctor Nitta and Mephisto. You then need to defeat the Tyrant. When I did, I was around level 80 and it was still a challenge.
This SMT V Vengeance video begins with the Nahobino summoning Mephisto. After that, we get to see some of the clip that involved encountering him. He uses his Agibarion +7 attack during the ensuing fight. That's followed by his Walpurgisnacht +9 dark attack.

Six Hatsune Miku Magic the Gathering cards will be a part of a Secret Lair drop at 9am PT/12pm ET on May 13, 2024. People will be able to pre-order standard ones for $29.99 and foil ones for $39.99.
As usual, the Hatsune Miku Secret Lair cards will be a limited edition. The Spring Superdrop 2024 consists of the first six cards, and four more will eventually follow it. Each one is part of a Sakura Superstar group and features art from a different artist and are inspired by the Vocaloid's past performances. People who pick them up will be able to choose between English or Japanese versions of the cards.

Konami will release the Complete File - The White Story, which is a special binder of Yu-Gi-Oh cards that focus on the Branded series of cards. This is completely made-to-order and will cost 29,700 JPY ($188.50). [Thanks, Inside Games!]
Four of the cards will have new illustrations for this collection. They'll be: Fallen of Albaz; Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous; Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous; and Aluber the Jester of Despia. These four cards will all be Quarter Century Secret Rares. Dogmatikalamity Alba System, will also appear in the collection as a Quarter Century Secret Rare card.

In Yu-Gi-Oh, the Branded series of cards is an archetype of Spell and Trap cards. However, aside from its in-game function, the cards have an connecting narrative lore. They're part of the Abyss storyline. While Konami has not really released a book or story that ties everything together for the reader, many fans have put together a general synopsis or timeline of events based on both the card art and the card descriptions.

Cover Corp and Hololive opened registration for an upcoming closed beta test of the Holoplus app ahead of the planned global release. The deadline for applications is May 13, 2024, with the test itself planned to begin later that same month.
The app, which became available in Japan in August 2023, aims to provide a Hololive-focused news and community hub with a viewable schedule of upcoming streams. The test will require a mobile device running at least iOS version 1.4.0 or Android version 7.0, with entrants being chosen by lottery. Cover Corp. is hoping to gather user feedback and bug reports ahead of a planned global release of the app, which will be supported by microtransactions.

About four years after its Japanese debut, PQube announced it picked up the PC and Switch otome game Genso Manege. The Mages title is "coming soon," with physical copies confirmed for the Switch.
Emma has the ability to use magic, but she is suffering from amnesia and isn't able to properly use them. However, a situation involving people trapped in an amusement park gives her the chance to learn how to access her abilities and put them to good use. In the process, she'll also get the chance to fall in love with six possible love interests named Arnaud, Crier, Hugo, Luciole, Lyon, and Serge. There will also be minigames to assist in her growth.

In an April 22, 2024 stream, new VShojo Vtuber Michi Mochievee went over tax issues she encountered when working for her former employer and the level of support she is now experiencing at VShojo. After a story discussing her "first and hopefully last financial problem," she discussed how she's doing better, has health insurance back, and has support from people at the company.
Things started At the 1 hour and 52 minute mark of her April 28, 2024 Twitch stream, Michi Mochievee discussed the past tax problem she encountered. She began by explaining how the tax system in Indonesia worked and the arrangement she set up with a former employer, but then went into more detail about how the taxes being withheld didn't go as planned. She also followed it all up by saying things are now sorted and she's getting the health insurance settled as well.

Michi Mochievee isn't the first VShojo Vtuber who encountered tax problems with a former employer and discussed the situation on stream. Kuro also brought it up in a stream shortly after joining the company in October 2023. When he did, he noted how VShojo CEO Justin "Gunrun" Ignacio and Ironmouse helped him with his tax problems.
As a reminder, Michi Mochievee also discussed how her experience as a Vtuber at VShojo differed from past jobs with other employers during an April 23, 2024 stream on YouTube. At one point, she said, "I thought for sure that I was not gonna join VShojo. Cause like who, who in their right mind, would hire someone that's like, that willingly admitted the fact that they can be dysfunctional? Right?" She then later said, "All VShojo has ever told me is like, 'We have someone to help.' Like that's always the response."

The newest Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero trailer is here, and Bandai Namco revealed multiple versions of Gohan and Trunks that will be in the game. It also showed off gameplay and revealed other characters like Beerus and Master Roshi.
In total, 10 new Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero characters appeared in the last April 2024 trailer, but four are Gohan and two are Trunks. When people go through the fighter, they could be Kid, Adult, Future, or Future Super Saiyan Gohan. The only two Trunks options that showed up in this latest video are Sword Trunks and Sword Super Saiyan Trunks. The remaining newcomers are Beerus, Master Roshi, Videl, and Whis.
Here's the full Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero trailer. It begins with Piccolo and the kid version of Gohan training together. After that is a segment with Master Roshi, Krillin, and Yamcha. That's followed by Adult Gohan with Videl. Then, there's a Beerus and Whis match. Future Gohan and Sword Trunks' segment comes up after that.
Bandai Namco's shared new details about the latest Budokai Tenkaichi game fairly regularly. In March 2024, another trailer appeared. That one focused on gameplay, but it also confirmed characters like Dyspo, Kakunsa, Master Roshi Max Power, Super Trunks, Super Saiyan Kale Berserk, and Super Saiyan Broly Full Power.

The Pokemon Center is now accepting Dragonite and Marill Squishmallow plush pre-orders, following a tease earlier in April 2024. There's no expected release window for either one yet, but they are $29.99 each as usual.
Both the Dragonite and Marill plush are 12 inches tall. However, that sizing doesn't take into account their decorative accents. For example, Dragonite has wings and a tail on its back that add a little extra width and length to the plush. Meanwhile, the Marill has a spherical tail that sits alongside it and tall ears. Both of them feature the Squishmallows style that obscures most limbs, but you can see arms stitched onto their bellies.
The product pages for both items note they will not be restocked. This applies to the special edition that includes a hang tag and patch on the back that notes these particular Squishmallows were sold only through the Pokemon Center. Like past Pokemon character plush in this series, they should appear in major retailers like Target and Walgreens a few months after their Pokemon Center debut. However, if it follows the past pattern, those will be in different sizes and not feature the back patch and special tag.

A pop-up shop for Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Licht - The Nameless Girl will open up in Shinjuku from May 18 to June 2, 2024. The merchandise will all feature the three main characters: Illya, Miyu, and Chloe.
You can find the pop-up shop during the above dates at the Medicos Shop in Shinjuku. The shop is on the sixth floor of the Shinjuku Marui Annex. Here is a list of all the merchandise you can purchase here:
You'll also be able to pay 1210 JPY for the chance to make your personal stamp. This is a service that'll only be available in the physical shop. In total, there are nine different patterns you can choose from, and they're all characters from the movie.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Licht - The Nameless Girl came out in Japanese theaters in August 2021. It is the anime adaptation of the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3rei! manga. Though the movie came out in 2021, there have been new content for it since then. For example, in 2023, Kadokawa released an ASMR voice drama featuring Illya and Miyu.

Kamio Japan has started selling a zakka (miscellaneous merchandise) collection featuring Pikachu from Pokemon. The goods are available in the Pokemon Center stores, as well as stationery shops, character goods shops, and fashion shops. [Thanks, Inside Games!]
On the official website for the Pikachu zakka collection, it states that the release window for the merchandise falls in late April 2024. There is no specific date though. As for the goods, all of the items will feature a simplified version of Pikachu. There are two versions of the Pikachu design. One of them has it looking around, and the other one as it peeking at the viewer.

These goods follow a recent trend in which Pokemon merchandise seem targeted towards an older audience. Previous goods also focusing on Pikachu include a series of kitchen items, and Nintendo Switch items that featured Pikachu running in a garden. The Pokemon Center also sold household items based on the Netflix series, Pokemon Concierge.

An art book for NieR Reincarnation will come out on August 28, 2024 to commemorate the end of the game's service. It will include character visuals and designs, weapon stories, as well as episodes that never made it into the proper game. [Thanks, Dengeki Online!]
As mentioned earlier, the art book will contain stills and images from the game, as well as a look behind the scenes as to how the artists designed everyone. It's supposed to serve as a way for fans to remember the game, which ended service on April 29, 2024. The book will cost 4,950 JPY ($31.60) and it'll have 464 pages. You can order it via the Kadokawa Store, Amazon, and Rakuten Books. Amazon does offer international shipping.
NieR Reincarnation first launched in 2021, serving as a sequel to NieR and is part of the Drakengard series. It follows the stories of multiple characters, and your goal is to delve into their past and restore it from outside forces trying to manipulate it The game itself features turn-based combat, as well as an exploration element. It previously collaborated with other Yoko Taro works such as NieR Automata, as well as other games like Persona 5 Royal.
NieR Reincarnation was available on mobile devices, but it ended service on April 29, 2024. The NieR Reincarnation art book will come out on August 28, 2024.

Ahead of any actual marketing for him, Justin Wong's latest video for Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact showed that Genthru will be one of the playable characters in the game. Like in the original series, Genthru will fight using his bombs.
You can watch the video here:
The focus of the video is in the title. It mostly shows one of the developers of Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact giving Wong the business. However, we can see in some of the matches that both players are using Genthru on top of the roster we already saw in the demo build. Granted, in the video itself, we don't really see Genthru that often. Both players seem to prefer using characters like Leorio, Hisoka, and Netero.
In Hunter x Hunter, Genthru was one of the major antagonists of the Greed Island arc. Though he starts out as a nice and friendly person, he eventually reveals his more treacherous and murderous side. For years, he was secretly killing players in order to emerge as the victor and win Battera's prize.
Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact is a 3v3 2D fighting game in which you control various characters from the titular anime and manga series. Bushiroad had already announced that a demo build of the game will be at EVO Japan 2024 and KSG2024. Based on the previous announcement though, the demo will only have six characters available to play. You might not be able to play as Genthru.
Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact will come out on the PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.
