Atlus recently shared some words from artist and character designer Masayuki Doi about the new Nahobiho demon debuting in the upcoming SMT V: Vengeance.
The artist revealed that the Nahobiho does not belong to the Nahobino race, also known as Unified God or Gouitsujin in Japanese. Instead, they are a Fairy race, Jack Frost, that admires and wants to become a Nahobino, so they practice until they become stronger and achieve this new form.
Doi also shared that the Nahobiho is a demon that fans who played the original SMT V release were expecting to see in the game. He also mentioned that a Frost character based on the main character has never appeared in a numbered Megaten entry, since Raiho and Ai-ho were Frost versions of Raidou Kuzunoha from the Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha spin-off series, and Ringo from the recent Soul Hackers 2.
The new Nahobiho demon was originally introduced in the reveal trailer for SMT V: Vengeance. However, the recently released second trailer showed players controlling the Nahobiho in the open field, not just as an ally demon used in battle. We still don't know how this mechanic will work. A recent teaser also showed the new Demon Backyard (or Demon Haunts) mechanic.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come out for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on June 14, 2024.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the third Sonic the Hedgehog movie will feature Keanu Reeves as the voice of Shadow. The film is set to release in cinemas on December 20, 2024, and the director teased Shadow's appearance back in November 2023.
The leak originated from The John Campea Show, a movie-focused podcast and YouTube channel. In a video on the channel, Campea describes how he was told of the casting by someone "very connected" at the afterparty for a showing of The Fall Guy at Cinemacon 2024 in Las Vegas.
Reeves is well known for his role in the Wachowski Sister's The Matrix trilogy (1999 - 2021), as well as in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), and more recently the John Wick series (2014 - 2023).

Uniqlo and Square Enix announced the release of a new line of Final Fantasy t-shirts based on the Pixel Remasters, Final Fantasy XIV, and Final Fantasy XVI. There are 7 t-shirts in the new collection, each one costs 1,500 yen (or about $9.73,) and they are expected to release in Japan on late June 2024.
There is no information yet on whether the t-shirts will appear overseas, or when. The are 3 FF Pixel Remaster shirts, and their designs include illustrations by Yoshitaka Amano and pixel art sprites, side by side. The first design features a Goblin from the original Final Fantasy, the second one features the original Yoshitaka Amano design for the Moogles, and the last one focuses on Terra and Mog from FFVI.
Meanwhile, there are 2 FFXIV t-shirts. One features an illustration of the Warrior of Light, and the other one has the chocobo Alpha, a Fat Cat, and a Moogle poking out of a chest pocket. The last two t-shirts are inspired by FFXVI. One of them has Torgal howling at the moon with the caption "escape this fate that he might one day look upon the moon again together," and the second one features all the Eikons in the main game.

Other recent Uniqlo Japan collaborations feature a collection of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom t-shirts, a collection inspired by the Detective Conan (or Case Closed) anime series, and a new Sanrio line.

Aitai Kuji owner Audrey Lamsam has been sharing insights from the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimania book about the game, and the latest revealed that Cid Highwind and his interactions with Aerith Gainsborough here are shaped by the FFVII Traces of Two Pasts novel.
Here is Lamsam's full Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimania summary going over the shared background between Cid and Aerith for the FFVII remake trilogy. The section discussing him and his appearance apparently said he met Aerith and her mother Ifalna at Shinra back when he was with the company.
People can get the Final Fantasy VII Traces of Two Pasts novel in English, should they want to explore its insights into Aerith and Tifa from FFVII Rebirth. It launched in November 2022. There's no English release window for FFVII Rebirth Ultimania yet, however.
Lamsam's update also included details about the confirmed age of Cid in FFVII Rebirth. He is 32. We also know how old Cissnei, Elena, Glenn, and Vincent are, as the book revealed their ages or estimated age.
The book also confirmed work on the third entry in the trilogy is progressing. Tetsuya Nomura said the story is done and voice acting recording could start in the near future. There's no release window for FFVII remakepart 3 yet.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and its demo are available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024. FFVII Remake is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and FFVII Ever Crisis is available on the PC and mobile devices. FFVII Rebirth Ultimania is available in Japan.

Square Enix is gearing up for the release of the fifth Final Fantasy XIV expansion, Dawntrail. As part of the marketing cycle, players now have access to the FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark tool ahead of the expansion's release. However, it is making many player's characters look much worse in the process, including my own.
The Benchmark's purpose is to mainly test the player's computer to make sure it is up to par for the new PC requirements for the expansion. But it also gives players a glimpse of what's to come. If you happen to have your character's appearance data saved locally on your computer, you can even view how they'll look with the major graphical update in 7.0.
Despite being a primarily PlayStation player, I booted up the Benchmark on my laptop to see how my player would look with the new expansion, which I recommend other players to do. In the end, I found my adorable little blue-haired Lalafell looks both worse and better in certain ways due to the graphical changes.
What I appreciate about the underrated Lalafells in this update is they can now look more adult and mature than before. But the graphical changes ruined the color and appearance of my character's hair and eyes, which I will have to change when the update comes out. In addition, my Lalafell's eyes look soulless now, as you can see in the screenshot I took above.
Fortunately for me, these changes are relatively easy to fix. But for some other players, the FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark is making them look significantly worse on a widespread scale. For the most part, Au Ra, Lalafell, and Elezen characters benefited from these graphical changes, but the other races didn't fare as well.
The human-like Hyur look fine, but others like the Miqote need quite a lot of changes to make their characters look viable again. That is all before talking about the issues with the Viera. The poor bunny people got the short end of the stick with these graphical changes around their eyes and nose.
It was even to the point where Viera and Au Ra were both trending worldwide on social media after the FFXIV Benchmark tool's release, and Viera continue to be as of April 15, 2024. Viera were trending for the rampant issues with how they look, while the Au Ra were mostly trending for the opposite reason. In the case of Viera, they lost some of the edge they have. They look softer, brighter, and younger, which negatively affects many player characters.

There is a general shininess to skin with this graphical update. Again, this benefits some like the Au Ra, but hurts other races, particularly furrier ones like Miqote. There is even concern this update could make some NPCs look not nearly as attractive.
The best thing most players can do right now is prepare for this major shift. There is no avoiding these changes, and players could try and look at this from a positive light. The new expansion is a chance to start fresh with a new makeover for your character. For some, maybe even a total remake with a new race they've never used before. This all works, too, with the current state of the Warrior of Light in the story.
To prepare for this, I highly suggest all players download the FFXIV Dawntrail Benchmark tool. This way, you can play around with the new looks and see what works best for you. You also get a warning as to if your character will need a makeover. There are still months until the expansion's release, so this is the time to address these issues. That way, you don't have to sit in the character creator screen for hours upon the expansion's release when you could enjoy the new content.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail will release for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on July 2, 2024. A FFXIV Dawntrail benchmark tool is available right now on PCs.

Aiming has announced that it will end its services for Caravan Stories: Magic Academy on June 14, 2024, at noon JST. The company has also immediately ceased all microtransactions for the mobile game's premium gem currency. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The mobile game, which is also known by its Japanese title KyaraSuto: Mahou Gakuen, is a spin-off of Aiming's online fantasy RPG Caravan Stories. The mobile game's story takes place eight years before the original title. Aiming launched Magic Academy on April 25, 2022, so the title had still yet to reach its second anniversary when the company announced its end of service.
Companies usually provide a reason for pulling the plug on live service games. Aiming also did so when it announced the Nintendo Switch version of Caravan Stories with the common reason of "difficulty in providing services that could satisfy players."
However, Aiming did not provide any reasons when it announced Magic Academy's closure, so it puts the lifespan of the entire series—which had featured collaborations with Hololive and Oshi no Ko—into question.
The Japanese development team published a letter earlier on April 2, 2024, revealing that it had also announced the end of service for the Traditional Chinese version of the original Caravan Stories online RPG. However, the team also assured players in the Japanese version that the game will stay active through the Golden Week holidays.
Caravan Stories: Magic Academy is available on iOS and Android mobile devices in Japan until June 14, 2024.

HoYoVerse is continuing its rollout of Zenless Zone Zero character teasers with a peek at Koleda. The brief video shows the heroine relaxing.
Here's the new teaser trailer for Koleda:
Koleda is a Belobog Heavy Industries character in Zenless Zone Zero. (Yes, that is the same name as a city in the other HoYoVerse game Honkai: Star Rail.) We already know she's an S-rank character, from past tests, as well as that she deals Strike type damage with her huge hammer. Some of her skills also inflict Fire damage on enemies, such as her Special Attack and Ultimate. Other characters in her organization include Anton, Ben, and Grace.
This is the second recent teaser for one of the playable characters present in Zenless Zone Zero. Earlier in April 2024, we got to see the Cunning Hares' Nekomiya Mana, who also goes by Nekomata. She also ended up being the person on the game's calendar for the month.
As a reminder, people will soon get a chance to try out Zenless Zone Zero again. The Amplifying Test is available for PCs and mobile devices starting on April 18, 2024. The PS5 Technical Test sign-ups are open until April 17, 2024. That console test begins on April 25, 2024.
Zenless Zone Zero will come to the PS5, PC, and mobile devices. There's no release date for it yet.

Marvelous and Takara Tomy Arts have revealed Pokemon Frienda, a new Pokemon arcade game for kids. The new game will appear in arcade centers across Japan in July 2024.
The new arcade game's cabinet will feature a touchscreen, gameplay buttons, and item scanners. Catching Pokemon in the arcade game will make it generate Frienda Picks, which players can then insert into the scanner to form their Pokemon party.
The game will assign an attack type to each Pokemon during battles. The player will then have which Pokemon to send to launch super-effective attacks.
Players will have to insert 100 yen to start a game session. However, the game may also ask for another 100 yen every time a prompt to generate a new pick appears. A single game session can therefore cost up to 600 yen with a maximum of five Pokemon picks generated.
Marvelous will also add several item compatibility features with Pokemon Mezastar, which launched earlier in 2020. Pokemon tags from Mezastar that feature a shooting star mark will also be available to scan in Frienda. People who have a Memory Tag from the older arcade game will also be able to obtain "something nice" in the new entry.
Pokemon Frienda will be available in Japanese arcades in July 2024.

Epic Games announced that Star Wars content is coming to all Fortnite modes, including Lego Fortnite. The update will apparently arrive on May 3, 2024.
Epic didn't note which Star Wars properties will appear in the game. There are no images teasing specific characters. It only shared clips of the Star Wars logo alongside the names of Fortnite and the modes Lego Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Fortnite Battle Royale.
Star Wars cosmetics already appeared in the game prior to this announcement. For example, people could get cosmetics and equipment based on characters like Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Anakin Skywalker, Darth Vader, Padme Amidala, the Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano, and Storm or Clone Troopers.
The last major crossover involved the Avatar series. Characters like Aang, Zuko, and Korra showed up in the main mode of the game.
Another Lego Star Wars announcement is coming in May 2024 too. To celebrate May the Fourth, there will be a TIE Interceptor kit released on May 4, 2024. It will cost $229.99.
Fortnite is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, and mobile devices, and Star Wars content is coming to the main game and modes like Lego Fortnite on May 3, 2024.

A new facility dedicated to Pokemon Trading Card Game will appear in Tokyo, Japan. The Pokemon Company is working with Culture Convenience Club to open the Pokemon Card Lounge at Shibuya Tsutaya on April 25, 2024.
As the facility's title suggests, people will be able to play Pokemon TCG on the lounge's tables. Those who come without their own decks can also borrow preset decks, including a limited number of Pokemon TCG Classic decks. The lounge will also offer 50 types of drinks and 30 types of snacks, which are available for free after people have paid the entry fee.
People can pay 1,650 yen to access the lounge for the first 60 minutes and add 660 yen for every additional 30 minutes, or they can also pay 3,650 to stay for 3 hours. Private rooms that host up to four people are also available at 8,250 yen for the first hour with 3,300 yen for every 30-minute extension, or 18,500 yen for 3 hours straight. However, the lounge will only accept several cashless payment methods.
The lounge will also feature a sales area. It will sell exclusive merchandise ranging from stationery to apparel.
The Pokemon Company has also uploaded a new trailer showcasing the upcoming facility on its Japanese official YouTube channel:
Pokemon Card Lounge will be available on the fifth floor of Shibuya Tsutaya building in Tokyo, Japan, on the same day the building reopens on April 25, 2024.
