Immersive sims are traditionally thought of as single-player titles.      Nvidia working to make small PC builds easier for everyone

A new initiative from Nvidia looks set to help small form factor (SFF) PC builders identify and purchase components perfect for their enthusiast builds. While the finer details of how this system will work are yet to be revealed, the early signs are promising and suggest that Nvidia is continuing to help the enthusiast community grow without needing to get its hands dirty and directly produce more hardware.

     WoW The War Within isn't

I'm just going to come out and say it: World of Warcraft Shadowlands was, potentially, the game's bleakest expansion to date. Marred by confused storytelling and a general sense of hopelessness, framed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Shadowlands strayed too far from the fantasy that makes Warcraft so great. While Dragonflight has recaptured some of that magic, it generally felt overly hopeful and one-dimensional, so I asked associate design director Maria Hamilton and game designer Ion Hazzikostas how WoW The War Within will balance the light and darkness, literally and figuratively.

WoW The War Within is great, but there's one major flaw

The Isle of Dorn is a battleground. You awaken beneath a pile of boulders, waves crashing against a stony beach, littered with corpses. Your rescuer calls out to either Jaina or Thrall, "the champion has survived!" before being cut down by the swathes of arachnid monsters that swarm the sands. This is our introduction to World of Warcraft: The War Within, and it's absolute chaos.

Classic '90s shooter may return to life after dev drops source code

Early shooters were easy to get lost in but none were more confusingly laid out than the original Descent games. Navigating your spaceship through fully 3D spaces in a series of labyrinthine asteroid mines led many to desperation, lost in an endless series of caverns trying to find the missing miners they needed to rescue in order to make their escape. In 1999, Descent 3 launched, revolutionizing the series by allowing players the ability to leave the mines behind for the first time, blasting enemy robots while jetting around above ground.

'Impossible' Doom speedrun record finally beaten after 26 years

Doom speedruns resemble a kind of virtual extreme sports, seemingly impossible feats of gaming dexterity that require snap reflexes, in-depth coding and programming knowledge, and limitless patience. The defining 1993 FPS game from id Software, over its 30-year-plus lifespan, Doom has been a showcase for some of the greatest videogaming achievements in history. Speedruns, however, are telescopic - the longer a game exists, the more optimized it becomes, and the less often new records are set.      How To Permanently Keep The Allstar Vector Skimmer In D2 Featured ImageLet's invoke our inner Tony Hawk for this one. Here is how to complete the Trick Shot bounty in Destiny 2: Into the Light. Destiny 2: How to complete the Trick Shot bounty The Trick Shot bounty is one of the several Daily Bounties you can pick up from Lord Shaxx in the Hall of Champions. Contrary to the majority of the other Bounties – which involve the Onslaught mode in one way or another -, the Trick Shot bounty will have you perform tricks on your Sparrow or your Skimmer by emoting while in the air. Now, this might sound easy enough for you to try this for yourself, but some minor setbacks could affect your performance. Screenshot: YouTube But first, let us travel to one place that will be familiar to all of us, especially for the recent New Lights: the Cosmodrome. Why? No, not to repeat the New Light questline – which you can skip now, by the way. The amount of hills and downed airships allows either your Skimmer or your Sparrow to gain momentum and sp...

Best Modern Warfare 3 (mw3) Loadouts, Ranked Featured Image(1)Week 3 of Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 is now live and as per usual, there are brand new Weekly challenges up for players to complete. One of those will have you use your gun in a very primitive but very effective way – and may even get you to chuckle a bit. Here is how to get Gun-But kills in Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare 3: How to get Gun-Butt Kills If you plan on getting the Week 3 Aftermarket part – the JAK Cutthroat -, then going for the Gun-But kills is probably a good idea given how simple it is. You see, Gun-Butt kills are performed by defeating and killing enemy Operators by using the Gun-Butt of your weapons, making them melee kills in essence. So, as long as you equip any Recommended Weapon, then you should be good to go, right? Well, not quite. Screenshot: PC Invasion You see, if you happen to have the Throwing Knife equipped as your Lethal Equipment, your character will instead use said knife to perform melee kills. These won't count toward th...

The Angry BirdsSometimes we get lucky and are given a video game adaptation like The Last of Us or Fallout. Alas, more often than not, we get absolute visual slurry from a team that has either never played the game or never made a film. So, here is a selection of what I consider to be some of the worst video game adaptations of all time. These are in no particular order, and the list is not exhaustive, I could go on all week. Angry Birds (2016) If you ever thought that a film about birds being thrown into pigs would have even a modicum of plot, substance, or interest, you're going to be deservedly disappointed. This blatant marketing cash grab was not even the end of the desperate, hand-over-fist IP squeeze by Sony Animation. Even after receiving a pathetic 40% on rotten tomatoes, the studio insisted on making another film and even a TV series. The plot is hollow, and the film is just lazy. Despite the fine lineup of actors, including Bill Hader and Danny McBride, it still remains...

What do Easter Eggs do in Lethal CompanyLethal Company v50 adds new monsters, suits, moons, and even a new scrap item called Easter Eggs. While these rare eggs can be sold for a good amount of credits, they can also be used to help defeat enemies. Easter Eggs scrap effects in Lethal Company v50 The Easter Eggs in Lethal Company v50 have a special effect: they can explode when thrown, dropped, or placed in a location. When the Easter Egg explodes, it can damage enemies caught in the explosion's radius. Keep in mind that Easter Eggs don't always explode, and it's a 50/50 shot. Unlike other explosions in Lethal Company, Easter Eggs cause a special effect of colorful confetti when ignited. Like the newly added disco ball, the Easter Eggs are a great way to add more color and lighthearted fun to the base game. Besides the possibility of an explosion and dealing damage to enemies, the Easter Eggs can also launch yourself and employees to hard-to-reach areas. For example, say you want to reach a locati...
