Described as an urban fantasy action RPG, Zenless Zone Zero follows the events and citizens of New Eridu, "the last shelter for urban civilization." In typical Hoyoverse fashion, Zenless Zone Zero boasts an extensive character roster that's in service to both its story and Zenless Zone Zero banners. ZZZ's cyberpunk city imbues the RPG with a sci-fi tone, though its fast-paced combat is more in line with Genshin Impact than Honkai Star Rail. Moon Studios has a pretty good track record; even though it only has two games under its belt, those two games happen to be Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps - so, y'know, pretty good. Created by a designer working under the wonderful handle WadaHolic, Total Chaos features an ominous atmosphere and a hardscrabble combat system that emphasizes scavenging and crafting weapons in order to survive against vicious enemies. In the time since it launched, its maker has gone on to put out acclaimed throwback shooter Turbo Overkiller as Trigger Happy Interactive and, notably, been hard at work on a standalone Unreal Engine 5 version of Total Chaos. It must be the baleful influence of Creative Assembly's latest free update for bellowing strategy bonanza Total War: Warhammer 3. Out 30th April, the update introduces Epidemius, Proctor of Pestilence - a new Nurgle Legendary Lord who gains rewards based on how many ickle diseases you've spread to other factions (already my favourite aspect of playing Nurgle in the game). Does Epidemius also get buffs if the player is infected by something? I hope so. It would be a consolation to know that my ailing trachea is contributing to the Nurgle cause. That's not the only new addition in TWW3 patch 5. They're also bringing a Gold Wizard hero, who is sort of Magneto but blingier, and a cursed crown that will make everybody hate you. Let's dig in. |

The upcoming Atlus RPG Metaphor: ReFantazio will reportedly include a total of 7 party members. A maximum of 4 playable characters can be in the party at once. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]
In an upcoming Famitsu interview with Metaphor: ReFantazio Director Katsura Hashino confirmed the total number of party members. The new party members will join the group as the story progresses. The playable characters confirmed so far include the protagonist, Strohl, Hulkenberg, and Heismay.
The fae Gallica is featured in the main menu as a party member, but she won't be playable. She will instead act as a support character offering navigation. It is unclear if Atlus counts Gallica as one of the 7 total party members. Depending on whether she is included as one of the party members or not, this means that there are either 2 or 3 unconfirmed party members in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
As a reminder, Atlus recently confirmed that Metaphor: ReFantazio will not feature romantic relationships as part of the new Bonds system. A recent global showcase of the game featured over 30 minutes of gameplay introducing new elements.
Metaphor: ReFantazio will come out worldwide on October 11, 2024 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders for the game are now open.
